The thing is as government  kept doing their damage, we ourselves  kept damaging ourselves  in several aspects. Nigerians are so desperate  to taking  things very far, making it worsen to revive .
Fine, it's the government  who is to blame but are we checking  ourselves  because  on this price issue there seem to be no change either there's  Fall or decrease  in value of naira, the price still keeps increasing daily  and we should be aware that change price from low to high is not going to be easily reversed once everything  is settled unless there a price regulation or control by government.
God bless Nigeria

what you should have asked yourself is, what's the state of the economy before the whole dollar increase? Things was actually very expensive but it's just that out overly adaptive nature to negative change made us to become used to it after a long while and we slowly forget how things had been in the past.

It's true that things have not gone back to normal and I don't even know what to call normal because we've never lived in a normal time but some goods have reduced in price in my area and price of transportation that was increased to 3h has been brought back to 2h but that's not to suggest that things have really improved that much.

It's been a long time we've hard cases of armed robbery in my area but from that period when things went too expensive, it's now almost a regular thing that we have cases of armed robbery almost everyday due to how deficult life has become for the average masses.

Omo no expect say price go just drop like that oo. To how much e go even drop self? The dollar never drop self, e still dey reasonably high  ;D

Abi you no sabi say people no believe this country? People still never still see say the dollar price dey come down or go come down. Even when dem increase price, na old stock dey be increase and dem make multiple and triple profit. Take the cement price wey increase to 15k, some cement sellers get old stock at 5,600 but dem take advantage of the highest level and today e dey hard some people to reduce the price.

But the contention for me be say no be dollar dey cause hike in price generally. If government no take charge of the economy by creating investment opportunity Omo forget story. Most times na fuel price dey cause hike in price especially foodstuffs.

The good or bad of the country is totally the fault of government and when you even talk about government, na number one person for the country wey be the president and first person for state wey be the governor if you are talking about the state. So the point be say na president be the chief security officer, abi e get wetin dem dey talk or do wey no dey stop for president office? Him dey give final order and the person wey dey corrupt no go do right thing na, so wen matter come him table na still corrupt way him go still handle am. For this country to correct, we must get a president wey no like corruption because if the head routine, body too go follow na. Abi if your oga no chop money and him den him hear say you chop money, him go sack you na and take you go court to make sure say you remit the money or go jail.

So the government suppose activate price control but how this go dey person wey everywhere jaga jaga like this (in the voice of Idris Abdulkarim). Shey tinubu no hear or know say dem pad the budget? Abi him talk anything? No.

That's a typical point of contact that all the above Cryptocurrencies investments and the Forex tradings which our governments are pointing all hands on being responsible for the increments of products and the unpleasant nature of the economy is not responsible for all those accuses.

Here in my area, the cost of items still goes wild and nothing of better changes has been surfaced since the gaining values of our naira over the USD..

Na so our government go do and ban Binance wey nothing concern am say na Binance make things Dey worst , not knowing they are the one that is spoiling things for the country, our government are number one people wey Dey suffer us for this country , instead wey the dollar price go down that they will make sure everything that they are selling should come down, na so they open mouth Dey look make hunger kill peoples finish.

You're point is well noted, but it's all boiled down to the government inability to check some of the excesses of traders and business owners.
Government is supposed to draft a government price regulatory agency whose responsibility would have been for them to go into the market and check at those traders selling above the market speculated price and sanction them appropriately with instant laws.

If these agencies are not put in place by government of different state, we as a people with continue to suffer haphazard market prices on goods and services.

Since my childhood till now, I never see anything wey increase for price wey later decrease for price before. Na soso increase for price wey I d see and all this price increase is linked with dollar increase to naira.

Em get as em be that, that our highest currency wey be one thousand naira no fit get peso food to chop. If you manage to get better food to chop na your money kill am cos na big money you go spend.

We be giant of Africa we no get anything wey we d produce as a country, everything is been imported. Even our petroleum wey no get refinery to refine them. Why things no go increase in a country like that wey no d produce anything on their own but depend mostly on imported goods and refined product.

Since the imported good and refined petroleum wey we d use are being imported and paid in dollar, there will always be an increase in price in all of them because of the cost of imported them to our country. You don't expect peso to buy something of one naira and expect to sell it at the price after calculating the amount spent in importing those goods to Naija. The same calculation goes to peso wey buy a goods of 10naira when d price of dollar to naira d at 1900, na later run the price of dollar to naira come fall to 1600, do you expect the peso to immediately reduce the price of goods wey em plan to sell at 20naira wen dollar been d 1900?

Wetin I wan make you understand from this cause of  this increase price of goods na because people wey buy goods at high no go like sell at low price because majority of them buy those goods in large quantities at high price. Them go like sell them finish before thinking of reducing the price of the goods wey dem buy. You know as Nigerians d behave, them dey see everything as given opportunity to make huge wealth for themselves without thinking whether em brother or sister go fit afford am.

Anyway I no expect the price of goods to reduce quickly since Nigerians don kukuma accept to the buy things at the high price wey d put am. I just pray make God d provide for us to able to survive in this challenging time wey things d to expensive

You are funny and talk like say no be for naija you don dey live your life all dis years. Anything wey go up for dis country dey come down again? Make I tell you something wey I notice when dem wan hike price of something. Let’s say a pack of spaghetti dey 10K and dem wan raise am go 15K, them go first look for opportunity like dis one wey dollar dey rise or maybe like dis kind fuel subsidy stuff. They will now hike the price to like 20K them after a while they’ll now take it back to the 15K to make people feel that they’ve now reduced the price so that they won’t lambast them too much again. If something don move from its initial price for Naija, e don do be that o, you can never get it at that price ever again.

According to someone here in the local board who was tying to express his feeling about this sane case said, "the law of gravity does not function in Nigeria". I partially agree with him in the cost of purchasing ones need you discover that no matter the fall of goods and service in the country the people doesn't agree with said price fall rather they increase it on a daily basis.

The only solution I can give in this situation of things is that government should regulate the price of fuel and sanctions should be included directly, if someone or a station because an escape goat the rest will learn their lesson and reduce the price of fuel and by this it's certain that price of goods and services will reduce, but if it doesn't reduce then a task force like the one Ex government wike used during his leadership to enforce task payment.

Anyways I'm not expecting Nigeria to get any time soon because it's seems to be very rare to have a better Nigerian government that can take responsibility for everyone.

what we are facing now is not only Nigeria it is a global problem and its only obvious because we are leaving in Nigeria we know difficult things are becoming but the challenges that other countries are facing Nigeria is obviously learning  from the way the standard of leaving is high so it is in other countries,  and the inflation is high every were we should even be our country is not at war because we would not have been thinking about how high commodity price are going but how to survive. the price of thing wont go come down so the best thing is to increase how earning so to be able to keep up with the inflation. because if the government they are getting confuse in some situation and something are longer in there control. forget the government and the high price of things and try and solve our own problem our self.

We blame the government for everything forgetting that we are our own problem in this country. The dollar is trading below ₦1500 as of today but the price of rice has not dropped by ₦1 and all these prices increased when are settled around ₦1650 and ₦1750 and to say that the government has continued to drop the price of clearing goods from Port, the sellers are desperately looking for ways to milk people. I think the next people the government should go after are the sellers in this country the way they chase Beureu De change and were able to control the dollar manipulation.

However, I think our problem isn't just the dollar, we have insurity challenges. There is high reported cases of kidnapping and farmers are afraid to go to farm and that limit is with few number of farmers with limited food which everyone is running after to buy, cost of farming has also increased because of transportation, making ridges has increased in price, these are the reason why not some price of goods might no come down.

For dis country, everybody get part wey him dey play wey dey spoil d country. Politicians na them be d first problem wey we get for dis country, na from them Nigeria problem start, follow by all this big business people wey dey dis country, the once wey get companies, follow by the normal traders and farmers wey we get for dis country.

If you enter market now, you go see the way all those business people wey dey market go add price, even if dey just hear say d goods don add price from company, before you know, dey go increase the price of the one wey dem get for store, but make dem hear say goods price drop from company, dey no go drop price ooo, na y if price things go up, e dey hardly come down be that.

Wetin government suppose do na make them get people wey go dey regulate prices of things for market, but the problem be say, even people wey government wan get, most of them are corrupt also, na money dey go just dey collect from people wey dey sell for market.

Mate is now that you aware of this our country that things has becoming worse, abi we're not in Nigeria when the defference of things was occurs in every angle of the our country and the government just overlook us with out taking any solution about it. But at some point I don't really blame government because we too in the country have our own problem, you talk about the dollar that when the Dollar was around 1900 everything in marketing becoming expensive yes we all agree with that things become so expensive.

But why is that when the government try to fight about the dollar so that the price of dollar can reduce down and also stay in normal price, in order to drop the price of goods down and the marketers don't want to drop down of goods thing are just cost every day and we still they blame the government instead of us to also blame marketing people's but we didn't and we're aspecting the corruption to come an end in our country.

Omo, Nigeria dey get worse no be small thing o, and the way I dey see am self I no sure say e go better again o rather e go dey worse dey go, like as things don over cost now, dem never even reason am to dey reduce price because them never even open bother wey go even make importation no too dey cost again and as e be so, we wey be Nigerians don dey adapt to am, so the thing go dey make things more difficult for people even if as we dey complain yet, we go still dey move on. Undoubtedly, the socioeconomic dimensions in Nigeria is deteriorating on a geometrical progression and solutions to it is in an arithmetical progression. Even as the American dollars used as the standard for evaluation of the degree of cost of living and standard of living comes down or up, the prices of goods and services are always high.
I hope that in no distant time, the government would put things together to alleviate the plights of the entire citizens of the country. That doesn't mean that the individuals should not engage in productive activities to earn a living for themselves.
Both parties should put their hands on deck to procure alternatives to generate money in this hard time.

You dey surprised ni? You don ever see where price go up and later come down in this country? Even people wey bought their goods at cheap rate increase the price when they say dollar price increase. We said the economy is getting worse and na we dey do ourselves, we the human being, na we dey suffer each other for this country, everyone want to use the opportunity they have to become rich at once. Now wey be say dollar price don go down we no see changes from the price of goods, nothing reduce for my side. For Nigeria, you hardly see anything that goes up to come down easily. That's why I normally tell people our leaders isn't only our problem. We as individuals also contribute to the problems of the country. When there is increase in price of good, traders effect it immediately even when they are still with the old goods with the cheap price. But when it is decrease, they claim they are still with the goods they buy on high price. Dollar stability can bring immediately change in price of goods and services. It will take some months before decrease in place of goods and services can happen.

Wetin some of this marketers they talk be say , some of this product they bought it in the market when the price of dollar been dey high and this talk no really make sense. If Nigeria is like other countries working well, I think this things should be regulated as the naira is getting appreciated things for market suppose to dey increase but yet we still dey buy things at the same price e dey as if, things no dey even work for the country.

Abi nothing da come down for Nigeria? This matter don tire me. Went to the market yesterday and I actually expected things to reduce due to dollar little stability, but reverse is the case. Seems this country is getting worse. How una see am?

Nigeria is moving from grass to grass, certainly thing are getting worse everyday imagine the cost of cement price, many infrastructure as been out on hold just because of the high cost of building materials and the rest. Even the fuel price is something else people are just fight for survival every day.

It doesn't look like, it is just the obvious truth that Nigeria is getting worse daily, a country that believes in looting, how do you ecepcet a country that see looting of its Treasury as normal thing to grow, which financial decision has this government taken to save the people to come out of poverty, the only thing we hear everyday is that Nigeria is slumping into more debt just because they refused to do the needful, a country that's control federal system without idea of economic growth of an kind, I think we should think of alternative means of survival as Nigerians as for the government, nothing is happening soon.

This topic is a interesting one because ever since I have know about dollar increases, there a lot of price increases in the market and even the dollars drops down there is still no change in price but only constant in it market value. So Nigeria government have to create a bench Mark which help to regulate market prices sales .but for example Nigeria we don’t have that, someone can just wake up and bring a new price because of the sudden increase in dollar even without a considerable reason for that, which is bad and keeps on creating inflation in the country.

One problem about Nigeria be say: anything that goes up in Nigeria hardly come down. This is where I'm so scared and I keep asking myself question that is this how we will continue living in this country. Well, I just put hope in God for a change.

Na true you talk because since I notice say price of things as increase in market and they are complaining that dollars as increase that is why everything increase price too, but now dollars decrease and nothing come down is just getting worse. Waiting I just dey notice for all this our leaders if you dey power make you chop your on and go, corruption they every well is just to pray and make things better for our country because now notice they low now everything done get value for this our country.

if corruption done stop am very sure everything go better for the country. Any governor where come he come chop him on and leave the rest for other person to continue where him stop, even this our leaders go dey do corruption is better make dey do better things, and chop the rest make them know say dey do something but nothing dey go do for 4 or 8 years dey go just hold the money and people will be struggling to survive without releasing it for people.

Na true you talk. But even without dollar high or low Nigeria it's self no care about that one, the people way dey on top just dey use those talk to add up some can things for there pocket. Just as you talk now the dollar done go down but things still dey expensive and the marketers them no won change prices instead them go add more of it. So I think sometimes the problem dey come from within ourselves because we aren't helping matters at all sometimes no be our leaders, okay today you go hear say rice price done come down but when you go to buy a cup them go tell you #400 par cup e dey go down be that.

And waiting I understand be say once price increases no matter how it is e no dey go down to the level e dey before, so Nigeria have no stability or a standby price on something anymore at the moment when you wake up in the morning expect another price of it. But let the market people also understand that their transportation isn't among the things we dey buy but them go add transportation together with everything then price done high again, that one na still dollar high or e low. My people nobody go come help us for this our country na we go help our self Nigeria worse today na still we dey worsening am, corruption go surely come to an end someday but the leaders are not ready for it yet because they're benefiting from the corruption. If they can end corruption then everybody fit eat well and Nigeria won't get worse anymore thank you.

E bad say, na our reality be that at this moment. Humans being are opportunistic but, we Nigerians don take am to a level way be say, we know even Dey reason watin we Dey do ourselves, all we know be say, we Dey make money out of am and this money, you go still go spend am for another person inflated price. Na just an unnecessary circle and people way Dey suffer am the most na those way no Dey sell or offer some service.
Some agency don start to Dey see means to bring this inflated price thing to order but, the mindset na watin we really need to get the most effect on. Either way, dollar still Dey up shah, we cut down on transport, maybe we go see some change.
