A few minutes ago I found a good post/thread created by PX-Z where he introduced a site that could help Bitcointalk members to see the uptime of the site. I shared my opinion and appreciation regarding that tool because it's something that could be useful for Bitcointalk users.

After posting my comment on that thread, I thought about sending some merits to that post/thread as appreciation to support that thread/uptime tool, but during that I faced an issue that I have never faced before on this forum.

I was unable to send any merits to that post/thread and got the message that "You cannot merit that post." The post is present in Project Development board, and I noticed that I was also unable to send merits to all those other users that have posted their comments on that thread.

I created this thread to know that what limits are stopping me from sending merits to that post/thread? I have noticed that three members have sucessfully sent merits to that post/thread but I was unable to send any merits to that post/thread.

I just sent merit because it deserves to be merited because the tool is a big help to the community when the forum experiences downtime, I don't know why you cannot send merit have you tried it on other threads maybe it is not the post but it's your account that has an issue, I have never encountered an issue like this all the time that I'm sending merits to those who deserve it.

I test and I can send my sendable merit to that post.

As I know, you can not send merit to a post if it is in your Ignored board but you did make a screenshot and can read the thread, so it is likely not your issue.

You can try to check your account profile settings, with Ignore Board Preferences, then let us know. I guess you did not ignore that board.

I have visited my ignored board preferences and found that the board was in my ignored boards list. I have removed it from my ignored board lists and after that I was able to send the merit. Since I got a good solution that's why I'm locking this thread. Thank you!
