Title: What caused my post to be deleted?
Post by: Hamada1983 on April 11, 2024, 05:10:05 AM
I got an email that one of my replies got deleted in Scam accusation forums. The topic was about Adswage but I was not given specific reason on why it was deleted and I locked the topic. When I tried to reply to moderator on message on why the post was deleted. was blocked. That is not a professional behaviour of moderator to delete the reply and block someone.

Above is your deleted post.

Take a look, you're actually want to reply to @Husires, but the first post you didn't quote his message, while the second one you quoted his messages.

So the moderator see your first post is poor (low quality) than the second one, so they delete your post.

But actually even your first post didn't get deleted, your second post will be deleted because you broke "post in a row" rule, the moderator would merge your post instead.

From the screenshot of the deleted message provided by Solosanz, the moderator acted in the best interest of the forum. You may be aware of this but when a fairly new member who hasn't been on the forum long enough starts to create topics whose contents is to make uses of the forum pay some money or to earn some money it raises red flags and it is scrutinized.

If your post was deleted, know that you defaulted. I imagine the moderators as busy individuals (if they are humans), it will be difficult for them to explain to every newbie whose post they delete because they expect you to read the rules, and observe the patterns of post made in the forum before posting and making replies.

It can be depressing as a newbie to find your post deleted, you may have a feeling of being unwelcomed, but that is not true. As a newbie, do not get discouraged because your post or reply was deleted.

Exactly as the facts remain within the line and contest if your write up, I will say it speak volume in my heart. It's very important to know guidelines it rules guiding anything or environment one found itself, moderator as I may say know all that is needed in the forum and what is not, if the person who message is deleted has passed through without fault or going against the rules let him pm the moderator but I know fully well that moderator don't delete message for no reason.

The posts were merged for multiposting.

What is strange is why someone is going to report posts that are almost 4 months old due to posting multiple posts in a row - are such old posts handled despite the new rule?

What seems to me is that the OP together with at least one other account (@bettyonline4656) wants to create the impression of a discussion in which he wonders if something is legitimate, and by some miracle newbie members appear who claim that the platform is great and has been paying for months. This is one of the tactics used by scammers to draw attention to something, and they say that every advertisement is good - even if it is partially negative.

People report all sorts of stuff, sometimes ancient, but these reports didn't have an old tag attached to them which is automatically applied to posts older than 6 months I believe (and the posts were made in December of last year). Even old reports can still be reported and handled though.

Exactly. You did break a rule, that’s why you end up having your post deleted. This is a reminder to review the rules once again before posting. It may also be that your posts has been reported already by someone who has been observing your series of posts, so take a look of your previous posts as well. But one thing is certain, the moderator is just doing its job so you don’t need to take it seriously, as long as you have learned your lesson already.

This message that you received in your email is a notification message and cannot be answered, so if you try to respond to the email by sending an email to the same sender’s address, you will receive an error message. This is present in all notification messages, so it has nothing to do with being blocked from replying.

As for deleting the post, this is the job of the moderator if he sees that the post violates the rules of the forum or that the post is of poor quality.

First of all, know that you have no right to question the moderator why he delete your post, they are given the responsibility of doing such when they find out that a post is off topic or do contain a malicious content as link or wrong information's, you cannot as well appeal it, you cannot be the one to judge for quality post in this context, the person seeing it will determine if it worth it or not, if you read very careful on the notification you received, you would have understand better the reason for doing that.

Mine get deleted from time to time. Rarely a reason given. It’s just the way it is. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You either did something wrong or stumbled onto something you shouldn’t have. A funny statistic might be the most censored users. The people who have had the most posts deleted by moderators.  :D

Those stats are available on BPIP. I wouldn’t really consider it censorship because 99% of the people listed on there are shitposters and spammers. Around a third of the profiles have a red symbol next to their username because they were banned, probably for a good reason.

This isn't true. Users are free to question any mod action.

Mine get deleted from time to time. Rarely a reason given. It’s just the way it is. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You either did something wrong or stumbled onto something you shouldn’t have.

It would be preferable if mods could leave a note on why a post was deleted and it's something I've requested before.

That award should be the biggest shitposter  ;D.

I couldn’t even get a response from the moderator in the section my last post was deleted from when I messaged them about it asking why. I guess if judgement is going to be passed on a shitpost, an explanation is probably necessary. Otherwise it seems like this forum is fine with people spreading lies about others, abusing the trust network, or pulling scams, but don’t make a post a moderator might not like… Doesn’t matter if it’s the truth or not.

Rare privilege I must say yet, still very honorable a way to work in addressing concerns as they are raised.

Don’t know why you were blocked from reaching out to the moderators, while these things happens as most newbies by some settings don’t get the avenue to message ranked users, I think moderators are often open to receiving messages from just anyone.

Still, your message got deleted for faulting a forum rule and nothing else.
I’m that note, it is easy to assume you’re not very grounded on the dos and don’t of the forum and that would be a good place to start. Go read the rules to a high level of understanding and you might avoid having your posts deleted from time to time.
