Title: Best exchanges for altcoins?
Post by: legiteum on April 11, 2024, 06:25:31 AM
Hello folks. I was hoping to get advice on for the best exchanges for altcoins. I'm very interested in brokers who can take in USD or Bitcoin in exchange for the newest/hottest relatively undiscovered altcoins out there. I'm well aware of the "big" players like Binance and CoinBase, but I'd love to hear about some of the smaller ones that people think are worthwhile.

Whatever exchange is supported in your country is the best so that you won't have any problem taking your money off them. Binance is known to be suggested by everyone and even I, if it's possible for you to use it then that's what I am suggesting to you. But because of many countries where it is having its own issue, that's why I am telling you as well that whichever exchange is available in your country or wherever you are, then that's the best exchange that won't be problematic for your ownsake.

I think you would have to check with what exactly you need the most. Do you value privacy more or perhaps low fees? Maybe you are looking for something more secure?

I think these are the things you need to take note of then from there you can find the best one for you.

But personally I think bitstamp and bisq are one of the best exchanges as of right now

Binance is having issues in my country so it is best for you op if you do your own research whether a specific exchange is available to be used in your area.

I see lots of people recommending Kucoin which is said to have very cheap fees. Kraken is also one of the most recommended ones but like I said it is better you do more of your own research just so that you’d know if these exchanges are compatible with your country and your purpose.

https://bestchange.com/ offers you a comparison service between many cryptocurrency pairs and platforms, and then you can decide according to the price or positive reviews of the service.
If you want fast transfers try Instant Exchanges ----> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218464.0

If you do not want to complete KYC or want to maintain your privacy, these platforms are good ----> https://kycnot.me/

Yeah, that's why many countries are stopping the support on Binance because they are not in favor of them or some issue is being dealt with. It all started with issues around in the US and that's why if there are other exchanges that are not having any of those from the SEC or any local government then it's best for him to just go with the exchange that's good, operational and has no problem with their government.

when a coin get listed in the like of binance exchange where reputation matters, they also got listed in other exchange that have lesser market cap than binance, for I usually use bybit, kucoin and OKX aside from binance itself since these usually also listed some underrated gems which are also highly underpriced, therefore my place to go when im finding newly listed altcoin, anyway, should also be careful using smaller exchange since usually they are not as good as the bigger one in term of support also some of exchange just trying to list some random coin there is just for the sake of money as long as the coin willing to shell out some money whether in form of token or real money the exchange just gonna list them and these are usually crap coin not even worth looking.
i would try some exchange that are lesser than binance, but definitely not stoop too low to go to exchange that aren't that popular anyway just for the sake of not losing money.

If your country permits then use Binance exchange as it is where you will find the best altcoins. If not then try MEXC global as it is an exchange which can be used by anyone from a country that doesn't want their citizens to trade cryptocurrencies. The reason being it doesn't allow KYC for transactions upto 2 BTC. I am personally using these two exchange for my own reasons. These are two top exchanges for Bitcoin and altcoins.

Except for tier 1 exchanges, I use some exchanges and tools that may be useful for others as well.
For defi and new coins, I use sites like dexview and dexscreener that displays info about new and trending token as well provide best route through dapps to exchange them. 1inch is another dex aggregator that provides best route to exchange your coins in a network or bridge between. Among non dex options, Shapeshift and. Exchangelly provides quick and low fee instant exchange between popular coins. Bestchange is another option that gives reference to best rates for crypto and non-crypto exchange and bank transfers.

You mentioned includes DEX/CEX, and in your opinion you are probably referring to CEX more. And I can only say that they all have risks/opportunities, as long as you accept them, I also quite like using some CEXs like binance, OKX, bybit,... but don't fully trust them, because the stories of the past are truly valuable lessons like the case of Mtgox, FTX,... But in my opinion, if I had to choose some CEX that I regularly operate with, it would probably be Binance, but it depends on how each person is looking for something with them, like recently prison case Bybit offers quite a few attractive incentives to users through their marketing campaigns.

Since you're looking for newly listed altcoins, your options either B class centralized exchanges or swaps.

B class centralized exchanges is an exchange that not really trustworthy, but they don't mind to list new coins without waiting other exchanges e.g. Mexc, Gate.io.

While swaps there are plenty options, but 1inch is a complete swaps because it can support various network.

I prefer decentralized exchanges, coins are tradeable there before they get listed on any CEX out there. If you were to ask names, it depends on in which coins you are interested in and on which network they are available.

For Ethereum (and EVM chains), examples are Uniswap/Cowswap/Matcha, for Solana it's Jupiter/Raydium — each decentralized network will have their own dexes, search on Google with relevant keywords to find them.

Ethereum dexes ARE expensive (EVM chains are relatively cheaper), you'll have to shell out $5-$25/trade transaction depending on how gas fees are on that particular moment, keep that in mind before you decide to hop on there.

Exactly. Because not all the exchange are good in all the countries so op should just make research.or ask your friends in the local chat groups because if I tell you the ones that are working in my country it might not good for you. But that is not withstanding, I will still recommend some for him to check out if they can work in the op country.

Op can check out these. OKX, kucoin, Bybit, Remitano and yellow. Those are some of them op can try out.
