Title: Where would you prefer to watch your favorite team?
Post by: MainIbem on April 14, 2024, 03:06:56 PM
Some people would love to watch their favorite team at home with their family, some at a bar while their are others who would love to go to a viewing center. I come from a family where football is appreciated but currently they would prefer to go about their daily activities instead of joining me to watch our favorite team play. We all know how boring it could be watching football alone, their is this joy when you communicate and Analyze the game with people who have good knowledge about football so  sometimes instead being bored from watching live football alone at home, I would rather go to a bar or viewing center, the viewing center especially cause it's funny how different fans argue about sports and make fun of the rival teams at the sports viewing center. That is the fun of football asides the players playing on the pitch, the argument, discussion and expectations from various fans in a bar or viewing center makes it more entertaining and interesting.

Most people prefer to watch football match with other people either in viewing center or with friends. Yes to watch football match alone is boring.

You enjoy the match more where there are friends who you can discuss, argue and analyze the game together. Some people leave their comfort zone where they are suppose to relax and watch matches and then go to game houses even far away to watch football match with friends and like minds. But nothing can be as boring watching football match with someone that barely understand the game, they want you to forfeit it for another thing entirely because they don't have same passion.

At home most likely. When you wager a good amount and wanna enjoy, I would be watching live at home and just shout hurra when my team wins. Feels better at home for me.

But in today's technology, you can watch sports just wherever you may be. If you are commuting the train and would like to watch still, you just have to pull out your phone and you can already watch live. The viewing center though is a good place to bet.

For sports events, it will always be fun and enjoyable watching in the live match event with people on the same gang. Not unless the venue is too far away from home, or the weather won't cooperate then it's much better to do it at home. I'm sure most fans will the same.

The best is always viewing centers, whenever I’m watching a match with my family there’s never an argument but the same cannot be said for viewing centers - you’ll get to hear heated debates on whose fault was it that the team lost and also what others feel concerning a certain players.

There’s no way that a viewing center can be boring, and aside that it’s also the best way to escape from reality and have a peaceful time with having to think about challenges of life.

I kinda prefer watching football in my living room. The few times I went to watch at the stadium I was disturbed by the language and more especially the violence. I was kinda afraid for my wellbeing to be honest. Coming from a country where hooliganism is still a thing many people will feel the same here. Stadiums may get full but it's mostly young men that want to make a fuss and like to break things sometimes.

So in order to allow more friendly environments for watching football I just prefer to stay home and enjoy myself even alone sometimes. It's not a problem if the environment is not hostile to be alone imo.

I have watched football in all of the different environments - at home with my family, at a bar, and at a football viewing center. It all of these environment the best of it for me is at my home with any member of my family who likes to watch football. I like the convenience and ease in my controlled environment. If I want to listen to the commentary of people, I'll just watch some sports show after the football game or go to Football Twitter for it. I do not appreciate the noise and rowdiness in the other environments where my safety cannot be guaranteed.

I love to watch my sports bet with my family. Specially with basketball and football. They are inclined with sports and I treat it also like a family time too so it's a double win for me. It's like even though I don't win my bet, I still have my won because I get to have the time with my family. All joy and fun until they know that I bet for specific team. The first question would be "how much?". So I keep it as a secret as much as possible so it won't change the vibe of our bonding. But later the day they would figure out because I will treat them with ordered food every time I win after the game.

You have a good point and you can't blame the member of your family, focuses vary and could be altered as you guys grow and engage in life differently. If football is your priority at that time, it may not be theirs at the time, or they are just busy at the time you are watching. Also, aside from your family, I would like you to know and admit the fact that we are not wired the same way, some people could be extroverts, introverts or ambiverts, and even if you are an ambiverted person, mood matters to which side you would switch to at a particular time. All these matters to where you would prefer to watch your match.

Like myself who is an ambiverted person, most times, I love my privacy, but at times too, I love to mingle. Depending on the mood at that time and the location the match meets me, I might be watching it privately or at a bar, hotel or other nice places. But for viewing centres, heck No, I do not like the way those places are, the settings are just totally off for someone like me. This is true for at least the ones I've seen so far.

So, I've tried it all and I felt like it's the best when you can watch it live, but being at home with a very small group of close friends is almost as good. Live is great, but you have to get there and pay for the ticket and you most likely won't get a good seat because that's expensive so you'll be watching it on screens anyway, just with people yelling all around you. Being there feels nice but it can be exhausting.
Nowadays I prefer to stay at home, order pizza, drink beer, get to comment things live with my friends. At the stadium or a bar you can barely talk because of the noise.

On my couch with a big screen together with some friends. Or, just a discord call with us just viewing it together either via discords YT activity (if available) or just us watching the game itself independently. Kind of creates issues since sometimes one guy is behind the other so there's some spoiler ish activity going on but eh, beggars can't be choosers.

I've never tried it live before, no friends really who want to try it out as well and I felt like it'd be pretty boring to go by myself. Viewing centers though I am interested in. They're pretty much nonexistent in my country (afaik) but if it does come up I reckon I'd be pretty down to visit it every now and then.

Here in my city, people usually go to the biggest mall in downtown, and once they are there they walk to the food section of the mall where there are several Televisions all around the place, the mall purposely tunes in the most important matches where some important teams participate in.
It is a nice gathering, in my opinion, people to there and have food all celebrate when there is a goal, among other things.
Obviously, all this also benefits the local food stands as people is more likely to buy something while watching the game and whatever.
I also like to watch some matches at home when some friends decide to visit, but that does not happen very often so when I have the chance I opt to walk to the mall.

I guess, it depends on where the event is or how much the ticket is for the said game, if you do want to watch it live. But if you are tuning over the television, it is good to watch it with your friends or family as this is a good activity for bonding. You can also have good discussion or conversation with them on basically anything, not only on the game you are watching.

In fact, it is a tradition in our circle of friends to watch together an NBA match or league, as we all love to play basketball. Of course, we also love to watch basketball matches, and the most basketball matches we are watching are NBA, and we have been doing this for almost a lot of years since we were in high school. Of course, the betting cannot be missed out, so whenever we are coming together and watching, we are also placing our bets on each match.

But we also have a huge amount of betting on who will win the league or be the champion, so I don't use much of a betting app or betting site to bet on the NBA because we are already doing that among our friends, and it is very entertaining and thrilling, so I much prefer watching with my friends, more like it is a tradition and bond we created.

For me I like watching football at home where I would have a comfort an relaxation without distractions. Most at times if i go to the viewing center I always find it difficult to cope with people there due to noise  and agument. And I am kind that doesn't need much distance from anyone. But sometimes I do go to viewing center if I want to have fun with my friends but not on a regular.

Many people will have completely different opinion on this. But if you ask me then, I would prefer to watch the matches alone. I don’t like to discuss with people. But yes I like to hear expert opinions online and on interviews. I like to enjoy the marches alone and place bet accordingly. If my friends will be there with me, they will give me unnecessary suggestions. If also bychance I lose any bet, they will taunt me for not listening them. Hence I would prefer to be alone.

The sport industry is a very big entertainment industry, be it football, basketball, tennis or other sports activities, those who are not sports inclined would be surprised of the bond sporting activities create among individuals. According to your statement you have been playing and watching NBA together with friends for years and it shows that you have got a very interesting circle of friends and to make it more fun you guys made it a tradition to bet while you view NBA games. If I had such circle of friends their won't be much reason to view football outside the comfort of my home cause we could catch fun, discuss and argue with chilled beer while sitted on the sofa viewing our favorite teams play. It just reminded me of when we used to sit as a family viewing  either Chelsea, Manchester United or top EPL teams play, I miss the good old days.

Anywhere is fine, with the exception of watching it live at the stadium, my reason for this is that everything is very expensive there and quite honestly the experience is not that good, as a great deal of the time you will end up watching the giant TV at the stadium, and if you are going to watch the TV anyways, I might as well save myself the money, watch the match at my home with my friends by a fraction of the cost and get more fun this way.

I prefer to watch my favorite team match at home either with family or alone. Trust me when you love something then you won't get bored and when I watch the matches of my favorite teams I never get bored.

I prefer watching esports events alone as those are fun when you do your predictions without any interference. It's better to do your own research and watch the match yourself before making any bets. I always do that and I never get bored.

True, even a boring match don't seem boring anymore if you aren't watching it all alone, there is this type of connection watching football matches with fans around you, I used to be this way too, I prefer to watch matches with my cousins and friends at a viewing centre or at home.

Until one day when every thing changed, we unfortunately got together with fans that aren't happy and a fight broke out that got two men injured, on that day, we all went back home differently, I made a vow on that day to never visits a viewing centre because of football matches again.

It is easier for things to go wrong when watching football, because if a team isn't winning the fans won't be happy, and if there is a fan from your own club side who likes to make jokes out of everything, something bad can escalate.

It is a lot safer to watch the match at home with your family or even your friends, they are not like those total strangers you will meet at a viewing centre.

It depends on what kind of person you are, because there are other gamblers who prefer to watch alone, they enjoy themselves more as a companion, but there are also others who prefer to watch with their fellow fans because they enjoy it more when there is someone who can relate to what they are watching. For me, even though I'm not an introvert type of person, I still prefer to watch the match of the team I support just inside the house, I don't like to watch with a lot of people because I might not be able to focus on watching and might end up my attention to your colleagues, for sure only talking  with them will happen.

I particularly watch alone because in most places in my country where the games are broadcast, they are with a lot of people during the broadcast of the games and these many people are consuming alcohol and there is a great risk of them starting to fight among themselves because when they consume Too much alcohol causes people to have serious perception problems and become easily irritated. So I'm not a physically strong person and I don't like violence, so I prefer to stay at home watching the games I like. Most of the time I don't watch the games I placed my bets on. and even in most of the games I didn't watch, I prefer to watch the highlights and replays later so that I can do my analysis better when placing my bet

Many people will have completely different opinion on this. But if you ask me then, I would prefer to watch the matches alone. I don’t like to discuss with people. But yes I like to hear expert opinions online and on interviews. I like to enjoy the marches alone and place bet accordingly. It's complicated to analyze the game around other people because they can give guesses, if they are successful people in sports betting, something like because for example they are people who out of 5 bets win 4 and lose only 1. so it makes perfect sense to listen. their opinion. But you shouldn't take this opinion for granted, now in the case of analyzing a game close to people who want to watch a game they like. It is important not to take too seriously the guesses of people who want to watch the game of the team they are fans of, because they will say that the team they like will win the game.

In my case it is not possible for me to be able to watch the games live, this is because I live in Africa and the games I like are from the leagues in European countries. I'm talking about the French league, Spain, Germany, Türkiye, the Netherlands, Portugal and England. If I lived, for example, in England and close to the Liverpool team, then I would watch Liverpool games. This is because even if the person cannot see the players because they are too far away, because the stadium is very big, and the person will have to watch it on the giant TV, still the emotion of seeing people screaming when a goal is scored is something very good that You don't feel at home.

I'm already fine watching sports at home using the smart TV with my loved one. I feel something special about sharing the moments with the person who shares my passion and enthusiasm for the game. Cheering on my favorite team or engaging in friendly banter with rivals, these shared experiences create lasting bonds and memories. For me, there's a certain charm to watching at home, where I can relax in familiar surroundings and even enjoy some homemade snacks.

If you are someone whose really that liking to have that kind of ambiance then it would really be that normal that you would really be having that kind of preference on which trying out to watch into those centers or bars in together with those same sports fans on which you could really be able to have that kind of sharing up with the same actions and impressions or emotions towards the game.
If you are someone whose really that wanting to have that kind of surroundings then its your call on where you would really be preferring on where you would be watching into. It is really just that there
are really ones who dont like into those places on where potential troubles could happen when arguments do really heat up but well these are rare cases and not really that often happen.
So its up to you whether you would really be that betting or watching into those public places or would be sitting in front of your own pc.

Watching football alone in most cases has not been really fun and interesting enough but then it's still preferences as some persons love the privacy of their homes and not the noise of watching in the stadium or probably a sports viewing center, the feel you get watching it with friends is usually not such  that can be compared with that which you get watching it all alone especially when you will have to share taughts.

The jubilation and joy that comes with seeing others who actually are supporting the same team as you is usually very different and such that you can't actually compare with the Joy you get celebrating alone and the best of the experience is usually in the stadium where you get to catch the live experience and the electrifying moments that gets you to celebrate with other fans when you are on the winning side. Even watching else where with family and friends is most definitely not compared to this experience, i'v had the experience of a stadium a few times and they have been the best.

When comp ares to the experience i have had watching with friends in a view center , some.of this friends support different club so when i get to celebrate my teasm victory it's actually unequal because they are not on same page with me but sitting amongst the fans of same team as mine the celebration is always complete because uniformly we shout and jump and i can feel every moment of the games.

I prefer and feel comfortable watching football matches at home with several family members because there are some of them who don't like it but still watch it, especially if there is a match between my favorite team and my brother or sister's favorite team.
And there was an atmosphere that became increasingly excited and mocking each other, we even bet that if our favorite team lost, the loser would clean the television room where we were watching together and sometimes the loser would treat us to food.
And besides that, watching at home is not only comfortable, but I can also watch it while lying down and so on, so my favorite place to watch football is at home. :D

I watch my favorite team with my family and friends at home. I don't like to go bar or other places because that places will be too noisy for me. I can't enjoy the moments with too many people so I will chooses to watch the match at my home. I usually calls them to comes to my home or vice versa and watch with friends. But if all friends busy with their activities, I will watch at my rooms or with my families.

I don't place a bets if that's my favorite team and only watch the match. But if I thinks I wants to place a bets, I just place the bets directly on the Stake and watch the match. But that depends on how my mood because not many times I place a bets and only choose to watch the match than to place a bets. Watch the favorite team with them will gives happiness,

I agree with you completely on how fun it is to watch football Match together with family, friends and other football loving fans, but talking about myself personally now, I am an introvert, and as wild as it may sound, I prefer watching my favorite team play while at home, if I have some of my football loving friends at my home at the time the match is being played, then that is also nice, as it tends to add more color and fun to the overall experience of watching the boys play, but for me to go sit amongst people I don't know in the name of watching my favorite team playing against another team, this I will never do, I did rather lay down in my house and sleep.

But then, I understand that there are some people who are football fanatics, we all are different in our own different ways, and it's totally understandable, but then, we all should be careful how with interact and argue with other people while in a viewing center, for you don't know who the person you are arguing with is, he or she may likely be a harmful person.
Withnessed an incident where someone was arguing with another person in a football viewing center, and when the argument became too intense, the one possibly having anger issues could possibly no longer hold himself back, he push the other person, and the other person retaliated, and a fight broke out, and like it was a play, two lifes were lost that night in the viewing center..
So, this is one of the disadvantages of going to public places to watch football match, and argue with people you don't know.

Let us keep this discussion going, where would you prefer to watch your favorite team?
Even though the average home has a TV and football broadcasts, for me it's not fun to watch at home, public places like cafes are more fun, if I want to see football playing my favorite players, of course I prefer a place in a cafe, I will do some small bets there, it's more fun for me.

For example: the bet I bet on, how many goals my favorite player scores and how many fouls my favorite player commits, there are also other bets, for example how many goals my favorite player fails to score, I think there are many things that can be done to gamble if we watch with friends in public places/cafes, it's more exciting and fun for me.

At home for sure, on my computer. Why? If it is just watching then of course entertainment would be going to the match personally and enjoy things but since places where matches happen on the games I am interested with, ain't that near to be accessed then I'd choose watching at home, just my personal preference and that would also allow me to think of the best best I could do, if ever it comes on my mind to do so. Some people might be preferring to watch with other people but that's them chasing their preference, and eitherway would be fine as long as you're good with your chosen set up.
Indeed with accessing other things such as food and drinks; that's the best part of watching at home. But if you're an extrovert then going out would be most likely to be chosen. This discussion just boils down to preference of the person who would watch the game itself, since things are simply subjective.

It all depends on my mood at that particular time and the teams that are involved in the match. If I am happy and feel like socializing, I go to view centers tu o watch the match, so that I can enjoy the atmosphere of discussions on both teams playing with the thrill when a club scores, because the club fans will always echoe GOAALL!! in joy and happiness.

On the other hand, if I want to just be in the environment but not to discuss with much people, just one or two person, I go to the bar with my friends and sip some liquor, and enjoy the fun in the game. However, if the match is played in the night, or I feel need privacy, I watch with my family at home, because none of them will love to watch with me.

I love going to a bar to watch my favourite team play, or sometimes if I have friends around who are also supporters of the opposite team, that's my team against them, we could either go to any viewing centre close to us or watch it from the comfort of our home and have some decent arguments with little bottles of bear in our hands about which team is going to win and which one is not going to win.

Where one watches the ball really doesn't matter much to me; what matters is who you are watching it with and whether you are really getting the fun you want from the game.

If I have to be honest, the most fun watching football is at the stadium of my favorite team. unfortunately, we can't watch it live all the time, even on television, sometimes I miss a favorite team's match because the match schedule clashes with activities, whether it's work or obstacles that force us not to be able to watch it. If it's a local league, I often find time to watch it. however, for the European League, I missed many matches because of different time constraints. unfortunately, I'm from Asia so every week there are lots of matches broadcast in the early hours of the morning. Sometimes, I can't watch it even if it's only on television. Talking about watching football, whether alone or in a group, the excitement is different. however, I am a football fan. whether watching alone or in a group is not much different. In fact, when I watch it at home only on television, I enjoy watching it alone more. I don't know why, but there is a different sensation if I watch it alone. I enjoy adrenaline, being carried away by emotions, be it euphoria or upset because my favorite team lost. The point is, as a football lover, I can enjoy whatever the conditions and circumstances in terms of watching.

It depends on the individual, me personally I really love my comfort zone, therefore instead of going to the viewing center or bar, I'll rather invite my friends over to my apartment and we'll still enjoy the match together and catch more vibes than we could get in a viewing center, which is mostly crowded and unsafe for my personality.

I'm very security conscious, sometimes fans might bump into an argument in a viewing center and it may lead to a fight or what if I loose concentration while being focused on the game and misplace my device or wallet, all those are what i put into consideration that's why I would prefer view football match at the comfort of my home.

In short it depends, e.g. in our financial status and what kind of people we are, i.e introvert or extrovert.
For you, it seems you are not really wealthy and you are also introvert because you think will get exhausted easily from a crowd of people but extroverts are the opposite of that. They are outgoing and likes to hang out with a lot of people even if they don't know them personally but not all extroverts are financially stable, so they can still end up watching the game in their own homes or they can only avail the cheaper tickets. What important for them is that they are not alone watching or there is still a crowd of people cheering on each of their favourite teams.

Have you ever visited some random pirate websites that stream a football match? My favorite website to stream matches is anything where you can filter some dumb comments on a live match. Sometimes it is more entertaining than the match itself, especially when one club is overly dominant and I'm just a neutral fan. There are tons of dumb takes or incredible jinxes whenever you view the chats, which is why it is a good place to laugh if you can take them as jokes. Sometimes they are going a bit too far though, but there is always an option to ignore them.

I never watched a live match in a stadium, and I don't plan to do so either since going overseas to watch a football match is a luxury that I can't afford. On the other hand, my local club is just a terrible tier-3 club that doesn't even play that well in a bottom-tier division.

So its up to you whether you would really be that betting or watching into those public places or would be sitting in front of your own pc.
Well what you should understand is that everyone have their choices of preference, what you like might not be what the next person likes and that's very okay, that's life for you, everyone is created differently. I am a kind of person that loves football i have passion for the sports, i love to catch fun, make jokes and laugh over silly mistakes from some players and doing that alone does not really seem interesting, i prefer to do that with people that share likeminds and trust me you will meet different kinds of people at bars where football matches are viewed live, there are some funny people you will encounter at the bar that would make vewing the match together very interesting, with their funny analysis and comments. And sometimes you could get to link up with smart  and interesting people that fan same club as you.

Yeah, it’s the convenience factor at home. There's nothing quite like whipping up your favorite snacks and settling in for a game in your comfy clothes. Plus, there's no beating the freedom to cheer or groan as loudly as you want without disturbing anyone!

However, there's also something to be said for the electric atmosphere of a sports bar. The shared energy of other fans, the big-screen experience, and the chance to meet fellow fanatics of your team can create a truly unique experience.

It depends on the mood and the game. Sometimes, a chill night at home is perfect, while other times, you might crave the excitement of a sports bar.

You might be right about your statement, financial status matters too cause a lot of wealthy men would rather book a ticket and go view the match at the stadium where it's been played and would even stay at vip sections where they won't mingle with common people cause they're security conscious, people like celebrities and wealthy businesses men. And some wealthy individuals that are wealthy would rather stay at home and view it over a big screen.

But let's also not forget that their are some individuals who are wealthy but still love to mingle with common people sometimes and won't even mind going to a bar or sports viewing centres to view matches with their fellow fans, well I think the kind of personality an individual is also matters too. And just like you mentioned some people love to view matches with a crowd of people cheering their various cubs, while some don't mind being alone or with very few persons.

Just like you, I also prefer to watch football matches in cafes, because usually in my city there are several quite large cafes here where at every football match, especially EPL or LaLiga, they often hold group viewing events. Usually this event will attract a lot of people to come to the place, usually 100s of people will attend the event and I prefer this kind of togetherness - yeah, even though at one time there will be a commotion, it's not too much of a problem for me. But that doesn't mean that I always go to cafes just to watch football, if I'm too lazy I also prefer to watch in my room.

If there's a chance that I can watch it on viewing center then would choose this since we know that the experience is so different since its more exciting to watch the game live.

Also I don't want to watch in sportsbar since we don't know how other people think and we might pick up a fight especially if some of the people out there are so drunk or they don't like our actions and opinions.

So if I can't select the viewing center then would pick watch at home as second option since its pretty safe to watch at home and we can bond together with other family member which is also a fan of sports that we are watching on. We provably have different taste towards what we like to do but what's important is we enjoy watching the game .

There is a great joy in watching favorite team's games with friends especially when playing football world cup I enjoy these things a lot. and when there is a game of the favorite team according to everyone's favorite team, we arrange multimedia projectors and many friends and others enjoy the game there. I don't think this fun can be had with family or watching games alone. because while enjoying the game with friends, besides watching the game, betting with each other for the favorite team makes the moment more enjoyable.

I know one guy who regularly watches along with his friend and makes money from that. He usually watches alone if the match is not interesting though. So there can be a business side to this too. I don't think you can call him a celebrity, but he's definitely famous. At the very least, the average football fan should know him. What I don't understand is why people view his livestream since they need to stream the match separately. Sometimes he asks his viewers too and some of them only watch his live stream and follow the match through livescore. I guess some people enjoy watching fans' emotions more than the football itself, especially if they are rival fans.

Television with family. My wife loves watching the Golden State Warriors, she is a big fan of Steph Curry. My kids have other teams they like. My youngest son loves Luka Doncic. That's why whenever I think there's a good game I open our television and play it there, especially on weekends. But when it comes to boxing and MMA, I watch it by myself on my computer because my wife thinks it is too brutal and she doesn't want the kids to watch it, yet. ;D
Well, I am just glad that there is one sport that we all love, although we have our local basketball, I still prefer watching the NBA.
Also, I like to open the eyes of my kids to sports, so that when they grow they will be active in some club in their school and who knows if they will be the next Michael Jordan someday. I wish! Still, that would be good for their health if they grow playing the sport and not mostly with gadgets which I think most kids do today.

IMO, each place will have different emotions and the important thing is that we get to witness the team we love. I have an interesting feeling about enjoying myself without wanting to be around others, the feeling of focusing without being distracted or accumulating the emotions of those around me. It's just a personal feeling, and no one forces us to choose what is best as long as each of us feels happy with that choice.

Watching anywhere will certainly provide relaxation and comfort, of course many people don't like noise. On the other hand, for me personally, watching the moments before the match starts will be an interesting sight. Especially if there is momentum to score a goal, of course we will express our joy by shouting the goal in the cafe. If you watch it alone at home you will definitely feel bored. If a goal occurs, it is difficult for us to express our screams because sleeping family members will definitely be disturbed.

This is how I feel too, it's more pleasant for me to enjoy watching a game alone than to be in a crowd and have their conversations and emotions draw my attention. It probably comes with age (at least for some of us), when I was younger I used to go to see games in stadiums, but I haven't done that in many years.

Recently, I manage to watch a game on TV only after the kids go to bed. So if I am lucky and they go to sleep earlier. I catch the second half or a preview of that day's matches. Tonight is the Champions League, and hopefully, the kids will be in bed by 9 so I can enjoy some peace, the game, and some cold beer. I also have some bets, and it will be interesting to watch both games.

I agree with op that, I would personally prefer to watch these matches outside, maybe in viewing center or maybe a bar as most times, it might not be the games that spark excitement but the argument from defending teams.

The latest trend for me watching big games is to watch it with my colleagues from my workplace and some friends and friends of friends on a projector mostly at my office building. We do use the office resources but the beer and snacks are purchased with collected money. There's always a mid game beer refill which are mostly funded by some happy person or from the bet money won and loss. It's one of the best way of getting to match hype and getting together with friends. For the less hyped and personally important games, I watch them alone in my TV.

I think more than 90% of people would love to watch their favourite players on screen in action. Yes, some may miss these moments if busy in their personal life but mostly people will love watching their favourite players either live or at least on the TV screens. Anyways, the situation becomes more tense when you are watching your favourite team and at the same time you have placed a bet on them too. This way, if your team is in a winning position you will get more joy as you are also winning the bet but if your favourite team is losing then it will create anxiety and sadness as you know that not only your favorite team will lose but you will lose the bet and money too.

There are some gamblers who will not watch the matches of their favorite players if they have placed bet on them. It is very hard to cool down your emotions if you know that you will be losing the bet because of the bad performance of your favorite team.

While there are times, we feel like we want to focus especially if it is a game where we don't want to get disturbed. A bottle of beer and some snacks while watching is enough to enjoy watching the team we want.

Probably those of your family members tends to realize that they have been spending their utility times on activities that distracts them from the endivoirs of productivities and could assume that the past spent on watching football wasted times after finding either one or two ways where they feels more funs or where do have them profits to spend such times instead of watching football.

I hope it is not necessary to abuse anyone who does not regard watching football? For yet I have seen scenarios where some football fans actually says anyone who is not a football fans is missing out and doesn't deserve to exist.
Football is just an activity which anyone is entitled to decide if going to love it or leave it because aside the funs it has nothing special to those who feels comfortable watching it.

I am not so connected with watching football but to the long and short runs that I have decided to watch it, I would always love watching in the bar so I can also be sipping my beer while I have my ears around the corners listening to those arguing and making funs of their rivals.

I do much enjoy those moments seeing the football fans being moved and remoted according to the directions of the balls. 😂
You can imagine a viewer pulling to the left or right while sitting in a chair simply because he either want the ball to ba a goal in favour of his team or he is under the control to a goal ball doesn't be a goal 😂. That is always when he does not want the ball to go in favour of his opposite team.

Furthermore, after the game is over, you could hear some fans whose team has lost the match to be blaming his team player and accusing him of being the caused why they lost the match.
Football in general is just fun to watch amidst other people.

My option will be based on my emotions at that particular time. There are times I want to be alone because I am engaging in some critical thinking or not happy about a particular situation. At that point, I would to be in a reserved place and my house with my family members would be an ideal location for me. I prefer avoiding the crowd of casinos or viewing centres because arguments might become unhealthy because of my mood.

But my best place to view matches is a secured bar, bet shop or viewing centre where you can here various viewpoints and analyses. Enjoying a few bottles of drinks with friends and celebrating victories with club fans is the hallmark of the fun of viewing in a public place. I remember the game between Argentina and France in the last World Cup, I didn't know when I hugged a man that was just coming back from his mechanic workshop. My clothes ended up stained with engine oil and grease, yet I didn't mind because I was happy that Mbappé equalized.

I'm a very reserved person that loves doing things from the comfort of my home. Normally it's more fun when you're watching your match in a soccer centre but that's definitely not my thing. I prefer to sit at the comfort of my home watch my team and I still enjoy it the same way I enjoy watching at soccer centers.

In my region, people are always very emotional when it comes to supporting clubs at viewing centre and there had been series of cases when problem will break out in those centers and then fans end up fighting themselves. Even during the AFCON finals when my state made it possible that there where mega viewing centre to accommodate and encourage the team, I still watched it at home because I believe its safer and better to do it that way.

At home or at a sportsbar are the best seats in the house. Your television is going to give you a better view then being at the stadium in person. You miss out on some of the atmosphere of being at the game, but you save $$$ and can have friends with you to watch at home or the bar.

I used to watch my team either in my house, bar or viewing center. Sometimes watching from the VC could be so annoying because of the noice and banter. The bar is a nice place, and it makes a lot of sense because of the bottle of beer that goes with it especially if my team is winning. However, one place I really look forward to is watching my team live at the home stadium. It will be an amazing experience.

Watching football alone is not option for me though I can watch to know who win the match and not for excitement. If you really want to enjoy football go to a viewing center or with a group of friends at home and make sure everything is not supporting one team because if everyone support one team then the home watching will also not be interested. I think we have discussed this kind of issue in another thread or this one that I have forgotten. And as yahoo62278 said, a bar that is showing football matches is also good to watch. And as I said if you are watching in the home let there be group and watching alone is boring. And another thing you have to consider watching football outdoor is that, the danger involved is if there fight or conflict you might be injured. So both have their disadvantage.

Football is a game of love that brings people together no matter whatever they are passing through at the moment. I enjoy the fun to the maximum when I am watching in a view center where there are lots of people, and fans from various clubs are present. This is because, there will be discussions and knowledge will be pass on unknown to people. This is because there will be a lot of football analysts in the environment, and everyone will be in support of their clubs, whether playing or not.

At home mostly so that I will listen to every words of the  commentator as his throw insights of the match and what remarkable fixtures has both teams made as the play against each other. I am the type of being that likes listening to the words of the commentators as they give details of matches, and once I am a noisy or crowded environment watching football match, I will try to separate myself from there because no detailed information I will be hearing than some people making a whole lot of noise when not necessary

Obviously at bar or public viewing center. This is because most persons in my household are not football lovers. So they are not interested in watching football. What i do is i eave them at home and go to viewing center where i can easily relate with my fellow fans. We would gist, complain and share our thought based on the match at the end of the game. Such places are were we can pour our feelings as a football fan, you will also see opposing clubs fans that are bragging about their club as well. Oh that feeling when you win against the other club and you tell their fans 'fuck you losers'  :D :D

Depends on my mood and depends on the venue on which if i do feel out on liking to see other people in together watching a match and would be making out some bets then i would really be definitely be going into those bars or viewing center on which you could really be able to fell up the thrill in between fans which betting to each other in regarding on whose gonna win. We cant really be able to deny that there's really that excitement that you could really be able to experience and felt unlike when you are watching in front of your own computer on which its really that boring but there are really times or moments on which you would really be definitely be liking on doing such stuff on which there are times that you wouldnt really be liking on going into those public places.
This is why i have said earlier that it would really be just that depending on the mood i do have into that particular condition or moment.

My preferance - family? No. a bar? Defenitely? A viewing center? I don't know what this means. Do you mean like at the football stadium? My preference is at a bar because it brings out my inner energy, and a lot of it. Imagine this, having a very chilled bottle of your favourite brand of beer, mine is Heinken in your favourite bar with a bunch of crazy football enthusiast while your favourite team is playing.  It is a mini stadium for me and you can beat it. I will fall asleep if I watch my favourite in with my family.

Now that it is a favorite match, watching sports at home and then inviting many friends who already understand the ball, it will be more exciting with a party of some food that has been provided beforehand.

Watching at home feels more comfortable than at a bar or something else.
Because the matches for my zone are always at midnight, it's even more lazy to leave the house at midnight, which is the main reason why I no longer watch at bars like most people.

Now that I've gathered to watch the UCL match, I think watching with friends is just as exciting as at the bar.

It doesn’t really matter much to me as long as I’m not watching the game alone. It’s more interesting when there are people around who love football as well. The arguments, banter and jokes makes the whole experience fun. I’m currently watching the champions league game from home with family, the house is spilt between Manchester City and Real Madrid. Everyone is cheering their team on and want the opportunity to rub their victory on the faces of the rest of the family.

Funny enough, the troubles that comes with going to viewing centers and the dangers as well are been over looked and that’s simply because of the fun and excitement as well as the pleasures that comes with it.
I agree with op that, I would personally prefer to watch these matches outside, maybe in viewing center or maybe a bar as most times, it might not be the games that spark excitement but the argument from defending teams.

There is no doubt that viewing matches at the viewing center have it's disadvantage, the noise from fans which could make on miss out on important commentarys and half time analysis, the distraction like when some fans argue blindly and make you miss out on important scenes of the match all those are things that makes some people decide to stay at home to view matches. But then let's not forget the fun part as well, the pleasure  like you stated and even the expression of excitement from passionate fans when their teams scores, only the loud noise of goalllll and warm embrace an handshakes amongst fans makes it very interesting. However based on security I won't visit viewing centers I have not been to or those that are in an unfriendly or unsafe environment.

I guess it depends on the situation and the number of people I'm watching it with.  If I'm alone I'll probably watch at home, but occasionally may be at a bar as well.  If I'm with one person then of course I'd rather be watching it live and sharing the experience with a loved one.  If there's 3 of us then live is an option still, but the bar becomes more appealing as does watching it at home.  4+ people and live starts to be less fun and home or the bar becomes a better option for me.  Money is a bit of a factor as well so I guess when it comes down to it, the more people you have the less live watching becomes affordable, then the bar, and finally you can always have a dozen people over to your house to eat ramen if you're a Bitcoiner.  :)

It depends.  I'm a football, baseball and basketball fan.  So for regular season games I like to be home.  If the game isn't going all that well I can just turn it off.  In terms of playoffs I like to watch around another group of fans of the same team.  Nothing like getting hyped with other people, and as long as tickets aren't that much be at the game.  Problem is being there is costly I don't like getting terrible seats.  If that's the case I'd rather just watch on tv.

Am the type that doesn’t like disturbance whenever am watching football, if I can visit a viewing center to watch match, I do get distracted due to people’s noise, so whenever am watching football, I prefer doing that at the comfort of my house, nobody to disturb me. Some people prefer watching football at viewing center just because of argument, they will want to make argument whenever they are watching football, they are not always comfortable whenever they are alone, and some prefer to be drinking and discussing about the match.

We all have this level we love football to some extent, some people can stay a day without eating when there favorite team lose, some people feel disappointed for that moment and then continue and there people that don't feel anything at all, they forget about everything the moment that chapter closes so I don't think everyone would want to watch ball with you all the time because you always make time for yourself. There work place might be demanding time as well.

As for me, I can watch ball alone be it on my phone, laptop or in TV depending on my mood, I don't like going to a public ball house because the maintaining culture here is very poor, not well maintained like th and they have this way of stealing phones in such places if you're not careful enough. Not everyone that do came to watch ball actually has the intention of watching ball, they do have another agenda.

I'm using my favorite tv box at home, because it's very convenient to watch and analyze a good standing for gambling. Mobile viewing is only limited, we should find comfort for our entertainment and gambling as well as learning the capabilities of each team in football. Western countries football popularity has been growing interest not just in their continent but also for Asian footbal players and fans who developed more interest of this game.

No lie, you will enjoy a football match if you watch it in a crowdy place, the excitement is always there, but I have a problem doing it because of what have happened in my country at viewing centre in different states, it is more safer to watch games in your house and if you miss the excitement of watch football with others you can invite your friends or watch the football with your family.

Some people don't like having people around them when watching sports games, I think such peolpe are used to such lifestyle already, and this still won't stop them from enjoying the game anyway, the choice is yours to make, just make sure you choose safety first.

Do not forget that some people takes football too important, they can starve themselves because of football and they can also lose their senses because of football, which is why fights do broke out in many viewing centres.

Everyone as different perspective concerning this cause it's depending on how they enjoy it or have fun from it,for me I prefer watching from viewing centers or bar cause the shared ideas, communication, the arguments, quarrels and all that is a lot fun you know, and sitting back at home by urself watching won't be fun.

Sometimes I and my guys when they come around we watch, taking some drinks to support our teems and enjoying the game, that's what make it exciting,so it's best watched in a circle of of people with like minds or rivals so everyone will be in the go like wanting to do this and that...

Here in my country Boxing, Basketball and MMA I think is the most common sports wherein people are on their watchlist and we prefer to watch it at home with our family, friends and relatives. But since most of us has access to the internet on mobile phones things could be different since we can watch it in the bedroom alone.

To watch my favorite team, I prefer to watch it alone at home rather than in public places, because I don't want to argue with other fans regarding my favorite team. But if it's watching big matches like the UCL semi-finals and finals, I prefer to watch them in public places, just like you I like to see debates between fans of the two clubs that are competing.

For example, the live match between Manchester City - Real Madrid, I watched it in a public place (traditional coffee shop), I saw how Real Madrid fans made fun of Manchester City fans right after Rodrygo scored a goal. It gives off an expensive atmosphere that's hard to forget.

Seems like we're on the same country mate! Boxing and basketball is the famous and common sports in our country as well and sometimes we tend to watch inside our house together with our family members or sometimes by solo watching it especially if the match is kinda intense. Especially now that I'm at an age where I don't want to go out of the house anymore unlike before that I'm active in going out and do some things outside the house,  unless there's something important to do, I prefer doing the convenient things nowadays because it saves a lot of time and another thing, everything is now easy to find with the help of the digital internet.

As an individual living in an environment, you're in the best position to know of how safe the environment you live in is, and if you're a person that lives in a place that's not very secured then  you should know that visiting the viewing center in that area is not okay and at your own risk, therefore avoid going there. I don't expect you to choose fun and excitement over your safety that would be very unwise.

In a case where you couldn't go to a viewing center to see a match, due to some circumstances that you mentioned then streaming the match online with you phone is not a bad idea, there's no rule against that, moreover everyone have their choice to make, there are some people who love their comfort and stay at home to view matches and others who don't mind going to the viewing center and still some individuals who don't mind viewing with their devices.

Normally watching football when you have people around you use to be very interesting and it comes with a memory that you may never forget. I will prefer to watch in a viewing centre during the day but if it is a game that is being played in towards evening period I will prefer to be in my house and watch. Watching football from my own has never been a problem to me though, what I'm just concentrating on is the performance of my team . What makes football interesting is if my team is doing well in the game. Watching alone or watching with people is not what really makes me to enjoy football,  instead the performance of the team.

Excalty, i used to enjoy viewing football matches with my family at home, I love it when we argue and talk about our favorite players when they're performing well, but with time everyone became very busy and watching it alone became boring which prompted me to try watching outside my house and I enjoyed it, cause it brought back that old memories of the fun i caught watching it together with my family. I like the fact that you're very security conscious and would prefer to watch matches in the viewing center during the day times than night. Anyways watching alone is not really a big deal if your club is performing very well but it could be so frustrating if your team is on the losing side, sometimes you'll see people getting so sad an emotional when there's no one to console them. Well everyone have their opinion about this there are some people who go to the viewing center to mock fans of other teams when they're not doing well and that's the fun of it too.

It is common for a big club to play and even the most fanatical fans will heat up the stands at every game.

There have been many dark incidents about football fans who clashed and eventually caused many casualties.
It's just for the sake of ego about who is better, who is superior in the game, but they forget about their own safety.

Have experienced tremendous euphoria when watching live, and it's an experience that cannot be replaced by watching on screen.

But if I associated with a gambling bet, I would rather watch in front of the television while placing a bet for my favorite club, it would be safer.

I don't think it is boring to watch football alone.I know it is much better when you go to a club and watch the game with your friends and other people there cheering for the same team or even better at the stadium where you watch as a crowd yet for me I like it watching alone as I also like to live bet on events that I like them and watch them with even more emotions. My favorite team though I always used to go to the stadium but it is more than 15 years that now they rely in the second division so I rarely go and see them now in the stadium.I have found a better way to enjoy Champions League or Europa League games I watch them in my phone in the comfort of my coach while also betting some money on these games having fun and drinking some beers, maybe I am getting old and I have not realized it yet ;D.

I guess it depends. Usually I always watch my favorite European league teams, I often watch them in coffee shops because in my area every coffee shop always holds watch parties, especially the Champions League. Of course watching it in a group is more exciting than watching it alone at home.

However, for my favorite local sports teams, of course I often watch live at the stadium because the atmosphere will be much different, even though I can't watch live all the time, but mostly I watch live at the stadium. This is not only football but also other sports that I can still reach to watch live.

This depends on the season and the type of gameplay of my favorite team.

For example, if the NBA team is just on regular season, then I would like to watch it either at my home or at the bar surrounded with my friends who also watch NBA. But if the season is the playoffs, then I would love to watch it also at my home AND at the bar discussing it with other basketball enthusiasts to see their reaction about the said game.

From my past experiences, I usually watch in public places during the playoffs as you can observe the reaction of each and every person during the whole game. You can see their moans or joyful outcries depending on the team that won!

As a social person, I would love to discuss the games with other people as well to know their thoughts and their opinions on how it went wrong/correct during the sequence of moves played by the teams.

This will always depend on how you will be satisfied after watching the game and yes, there’s a lot of fans who will do everything just to watch the game live and to show their full support to their favorite team. Personally, I will only watch live during the finals if my favorite team is able to reach that level, fortunately the ticket is not that much especially if your purpose is just to watch live and feel the intensity, you can just buy the cheapest ticket available.

I totally get what you're saying about the vibe of watching games with other fans. There's something about being in a place where everyone is tuned into every play and you can feel the excitement (and sometimes the tension) in the air. Personally I prefer hitting up a bar with a few buddies. It's not just about the game. it's about catching up, enjoying some good food and drinks, and really soaking in all the reactions - cheers, groans, you name it. Plus, there's always someone around to debate that controversial referee call with.
It just makes the whole experience more dynamic and fun.

Theres something uniquely relaxing about watching the game on your own, especially if you're into live betting. It lets you focus on the details make strategic bets without distraction, and really get into the analytical side of things. Plus watching from the comfort of your own couch with a cold beer in hand and no one to argue over the remote with? Thats pretty hard to beat. It gives you the freedom to really soak in the game, react in your own space and enjoy it your way—something you cant always do in a crowded bar or viewing center. Everyone has their own perfect game day setup   :)

Some people would love to watch their favorite team at home with their family, some at a bar while their are others who would love to go to a viewing center. I come from a family where football is appreciated but currently they would prefer to go about their daily activities instead of joining me to watch our favorite team play.
When I read this line i bold above i just laugh because is funny about you what you said, do you know that out of 99.9 percent of people who are football fan can never go to bed without breakfast, launch or dinner so in that case there is always a priority and the most important that is what your people could go for than seat with you at home and watch football. No one cares about football if they don't have food on their table, infact to crown it, football is interest when you have things on your table or besides you the more you watch the more pick them inside your mouth.

That is by the way, football is always lively when you watch with groups of people. Those who are used to watching football among the crowd would understand what we are saying here, except for those who doesn't like much crowd or stays in a crowded place can say is better watching it alone at home without them being over crowded. Currently there groups of people watching football down here and i can feel their vibes though have this feeling to go join them as well, so i understand your feelings.

I understand you perfectly, I have always been a fan of soccer, in fact I have practiced it and everything since I was little and it is true what you say that one cannot go to bed without having eaten well, or that one stops eating to watch soccer Besides, it is very good when you share football with a group of people, apart from what they say are things that in football sometimes one does not see, sometimes they can say that there are certain types of strategies, including changes of players or something that Put in context it seems to be a great strategy and that the coach does not see them, in fact in a soccer match in a stadium in Colombia the fan was so involved in the game that he yelled and screamed at the coach that he had to make a change for another player, and he precisely said the name of both players, the one who had to enter and the player who should be on the field. It just so happens that the coach heard it, and listened to the fan, the player entered and tied the game , then the coach thanked the fan at that moment, actually very nice things happen in football.

I'm not that fan of watches every game of my favorite club, when I watch, I watch in the comfort of my own home. When my grandfather was still alive, whenever my club played a match I went to watch it with him and we speculated on what the next steps would be based on the club's performance. I already watched my club winning titles with him, it was exciting.

Every now and then I watch a commentator from the band (one of the most respected channels here in the country) on YouTube called "O craque neto" I laugh at his comments and my grandfather loved watching him speak.

There are some fans that are very passionate, die hard fans that would support their teams both in their ups and downs, they do not mind whether their club is at the mid table in a season, they will always be punctual with every games and follow up every moment. Now what i am trying to say is that everyone have their choices some are die hard fans while some are no, also some would prefer to view matches alone at home where they won't be distracted from listening to commentaries and follow up key moments while their are some who would rather view it with friends, family or go to public places like casino's, bars, coffee shops, viewing centres where they would catch fun and vibe with fellow fans or like minds. The good thing is that everyone enjoys the moment and support their teams wherever they decide to view the match.

No doubt, the fun, shout and vibes is at the viewing center but I don't know if this is just my opinion or for every one, I find it difficult to concentrate when watching match with group of crowd mostly when my favourite team is playing. The shout and argument is just a distraction from focusing, sometimes I end up laughing with the crowd forgetting I'm watching a serious match. People who usually generate the noise and shout just want the environment to be lively but I'm not a fan of such. I prefer watching my match quietly and alone except I'm expecting a visitor or family friend or else I dislike watch football match with group of people.

If someone don't have friends to hanging out at a bar, you can still feel the excitement and you might able to make new friends because when random people are supporting for the same thing, they will think they're brothers.

But, when it comes to watching at a bar, it's better if the match is your national team vs other national team.

If you want to watch rivalries e.g. Real Madrid vs Barcelona, Boston vs Celtics, or something like that, better to avoid it. There had been many cases it will cause conflicts and people will start throw something to each other.

I watch them and put my bet on the team I prefer.
The point of doing this is we are confident that they will the games despite no assurance because it is also considered as support to them. Honestly, you can feel the excitement and the rhythm of the game when you see them playing compared to watching other teams. It was a different betting session when compared to betting not our favorite team.

Perhaps, this is normal and even having a busy day, we spend time watching them. It was not just having fun but it is a pleasure as we love to see our teams on the court whether they win or lose.

I usually watched football, basketball and Esports by myself  in front of my computer. Most of my family members are not into international league but rather watch local leagues which is pretty known in the country but I do place bet in international leagues and matches and I'm the only one familiar with the teams that's why I prefer watching alone than with others. Though some of my colleagues and friends are into Esports and we sometimes do watch together via party streaming and place bets at the same time, that's actually a pretty good experience.

But when they lose it makes me all sad and emotional.

This will always depend on how you will be satisfied after watching the game and yes, there’s a lot of fans who will do everything just to watch the game live and to show their full support to their favorite team. Personally, I will only watch live during the finals if my favorite team is able to reach that level, fortunately the ticket is not that much especially if your purpose is just to watch live and feel the intensity, you can just buy the cheapest ticket available.
sometimes even before the event the tickets could be sold out because many others out there are very much willing to watch the game live as much as you want to and that has been a major challenge to watching the game live so if it happens that you actually want to watch the finals live you my not have to wait for your team to qualify first before you get to purchase the tickets as by that time you may not have any available again but to watch it on the screen, watching and showing your support to your favour team is actually a very fun experience that almost every fan will want to have a feel of.

The times i have been able to experience the real time live games, i can say for sure it's actually different from the once we do get when we happen to watch from our screen but the company of friends and other viewers tow actually adds fun to the whole game at times.

Most people prefer to watch football match with other people either in viewing center or with friends. Yes to watch football match alone is boring.
Sorry mate but I find no boredom watching game match solely  though I am not  a football
fan but my basketball and f1 race watching is celebrated watching Pay per view.

You enjoy the match more where there are friends who you can discuss, argue and analyze the game together. Some people leave their comfort zone where they are suppose to relax and watch matches and then go to game houses even far away to watch football match with friends and like minds. But nothing can be as boring watching football match with someone that barely understand the game, they want you to forfeit it for another thing entirely because they don't have same passion.
well ,back when I am still a chess game player? we(with friends) are enjoying watching
matches together and indeed talking and arguing about each matches lol.

You get the point mate, I'm not really into chess and i don't have much experience in it but I'm a fan of football (soccer) and I can relate. There is  this joy when you view matches especially games involving your favourite team with family or friends who support same team with you. Back then when I still viewed matches very often with my family, my mom was the only one who supported a rival team and when our both teams clashed, lol sometimes we prayed for  our team to lose just to avoid missing lunch or dinner cause she was the one handling the kitchen mostly and sometimes even dad won't go unpunished, she'll make us beg or console her before we eat, then we'll all eat together and laugh over her teams lose and claim our team is more superior to her's. That's the fun of it all, the smiles on our various faces, the sudden laughter and silly jokes. But then we grew up and everyone went their separate ways, I miss the good old days.

Watching a match live when your team wins is a great experience as not only you get to enjoy the win with your friends, you do it with a bunch of strangers that share the same passion for your favorite sport, however when your team lose it is terrible, as not only your team lost, you probably spent a lot of money you could have saved yourself by watching the match home, and all of that just for your team to lose, which in a way it explains why fans at the stadium can get very emotional when their team lose, as all their support meant nothing.

I prefer to watch it at home, where I am comfortable. Go get some food and drink, then go watch it. Sometimes when I watch basketball games, I am the loud type of person who says things like "Go pass it there!" or "Shoot it!!" or anything that makes me feel like I am part of the team. With that, I can feel the enjoyment of watching the team. I really enjoy it, especially when they win, but if they lose, of course it is the other way around; it will make me sad and I will lose the energy for the day. But that's what makes watching your team more enjoyable, because you feel like you are part of the team.

For sports events, it will always be fun and enjoyable watching in the live match event with people on the same gang. Not unless the venue is too far away from home, or the weather won't cooperate then it's much better to do it at home. I'm sure most fans will the same.
But it use to cause so much trouble in the center  because there are some people who will be smoking, thinking that they are doing the right thing in watching center and you don't have the authority to stop such people not to smoke in the event.

And, there are some people who will be drinking alcohol when their team are winning at the moment, and you don't have the mind to tell them to stop drinking from the center and if you try to force them to stop, they will cause crisis in the event that will make people to run for their dear life.

But if you are watching your favorite game at home, it will make you to have authority over there, and it will make your family to be happy with your life style of watching football game at home.

Let's treat each one of the places one after the other, if we are in the situation whereby our family are also in support of gambling and have interest in watching some of the sporting activities, live matches and many others, we can always make subscription to watch at home together with our family members, same applies to betting a game if we so wish to gamble as well, but going out with friends and watching at the viewing center is not what many could accept doing, especially when they have family and responsibilities at home, they will rather use their house and family for that purpose.

Yes everyone likes their place of viewing football. Some people have TV, laptop and mobile phones to watch their Matches but still like to go to the public viewing centers because for them, viewing at home is like a graveyard for them because it is too quiet but in the viewing centers everyone arguing from one thing to another and making the place and the Match more interesting. While some people like to bet on the game and went home with the ticket or the slip and just waiting for the Match to be over and go back to check the slip to know who won. And as I said, I prefer watching it in the viewing centers because there are different options about the Match in the hall. Though there are time, the two parties fought and to avoid that, it is good to watch at home.

Smoking you mean by ciggars? I don't think it's legal and allowed to smoke in the public place such as the gaming/sports complex/center, guards are always patrolling on such area, not unless if it's allowed by your government to smoke anywhere, the same rules and regulations on drinking alcohols on public places.

Watching anything whether it's a football match, a movie, or any other event can be boring if you are alone, but I would prefer watching a football game with my friends rather than watching it with the family because I believe it can be more fun with friends as you are completely free to do anything you want, you say anything without having to think twice because it's all your friends and you don't need to be careful with your words or anything.

Besides, when you are watching a game or a movie with your friends, there are jokes and fun and analysis of everything combined and it makes the experience very much enjoyable. So for me, the vote would go for watching a game of football with my friends and not with family or in a viewing centre.

I think there's a smoking area in any sports complex but not cigarrettes, by using Vape or E-cigar only, not really sure so correct me if I'm wrong? because here in my place, I saw a signage of smoking area but they aren't allowed you to enter any cigarettes, vape only. But I agree that it shouldn't allow because there are some people who really hates or not allowed to inhale any smoke from.cigarettes due to some health issues.

Yes, there is, but not in public or inside the complex, there is a designated place/area to that activity. But of course, there are still black sheeps who will not follow, so better to avoid them and call the guards or anyone who is in charge to control these kind of fellas.

You have a point there, but we still need to consider that it is not about betting in this regard, it is about watching the match. You may bet your thing even if your family is here because it is not all that you do on your phone they see, and that is if you want to engage in the live match betting. Needless to say, you can conclude on your betting options and even place all your bets before the time of the match, which means that the family members will not know about it if you do not want them to know.

As for watching the match, it all depends as well, we have different family settings and even different preferences within the same family. The husband may like watching football and the wife may not like watching it, and of course, the children of younger ages will not leave their home to watch football in most cases. But if they love it, the father, for example, may decide to be watching it at home because of them. But if the father is such that his the only one who likes watching football, it is not a big deal for him to excuse himself to watch football while the other family members watch whatever they want or engage in other activities.

That by the way, it is a school of reasoning. In another school of reasoning, the personality of the person matters. If I am an extrovert, I will always love to watch it outside, which is the opposite of a private person or an introvert. Personally, watching football outside is not my thing, except it met me coincidentally in an honourable place where I can easily and freely watch the match. If not, I always prefer to watch my thing at home as "no place like home."

I will also love to add that not all families would be happy that the bread winner of the house is a gambler, in my society, most women see gamblers as people who are not responsible based on what they have seen some addicted gamblers turn into, and I do not  think many women would even encourage their husband to gambler especially when they are sure their spouse is not profiting from it, except it I the other way round. Well, asides gambling which is not our major point of discussion I totally agree with you about different family having different settings, in a family where only the husband is the only sports lover, that alone would make him want to move over to his friends or at a bar to watch his favourite team play while his family watch a TV show or whatever and of course the personality matters too, you do not expect an extrovert to watch his favourite team alone, it would seem boring doing that, same applies to an introvert watching the match at a bar or public place.take me for instance I do not enjoy seeing football match alone, I will rather watch with my family, friends or even go to a bar when they're not available, so you are right when you said the personality matters.

In Europe it Cannot happen, because at least in my country smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages are prohibited, and this is something that we have to do to a Large Extent, in the event that we are doing with many stadiums in the world things can be quite well, I would think that things are better when there are non-smoking areas in front of everyone, if there are VIP Areas in the stadiums, they have a smoking area there, so in this order of ideas it is the only way I see what they have than smoking, of course with its air Conditioning in complete safety and with a television to watch the Game live and direct, although for me it does not make sense to go to a football stadium to watch it on a TV , for me the best is Go to the stadium and enjoy the football game as it is.

Watching my favourite team alone can be boring, i preffer watching my favorite team in the company of other viewers at viewing centres or even a bar.

Most times, watching matches at home alone is not safe for most people. Some persons can be too emotional and do not have control over their emotions. There have been cases where people collapsed when their favourite team lost, some will go as far as destroying properties and causing harm to themselves just because they are hurt that their favourite team lost. Those who love sports but find it hard to control their emotions should always watch their favourite sports in the company of likeminds. Having friends and likeminds around helps to lighten the mood.

But who would like to watch a sport event on the company of a person that gets violent just because their favorite team loses? I know for sure that I will not like having a person like that on my home, since I do not want to risk them destroying my place, and watching a game at their place is not a good option either, as now they could feel free to let their aggressiveness to erupt as the stuff they are destroying is their own, and you have no business telling them what to do with it.

Sincerely, I'd enjoy watching matches at viewing centers aside having a steady power supply, plus a smart TV at home... You tend to get the feeling to it fullest when you're around people of the same passion for the game....

But on the contrary, something terrible happened that scared me to my  freaking bones. A close relative of mine was shot at a viewing center by armed robbers... Luckily, he survived to tell his story, this is it; "They all came in, dressed in black and had gloves on, then made their way straight to the reception after ordering everyone to get on the floor" he tried to escape but got hit.

For me I prefer watching matches in the viewing centers because when you are watching matches in the viewing centers assurance covered you because you would not have double thought about light and also you are going to feel happy when you are with your follow fans members and is going make you if something is disturbing you in your mind once you're talking with your follow fans you see the thing will vanished from your mind, although once you are watching matches in your home alone you we see that it we looks very boring for you.

Sure  between friends  in beer to debate both the   twists and turns of the team game and each 200-foot player. The family ambiance is entirely for leisure and  relaxation rather than for    heated discussions.

However, some friends of mine are swinging the lead even inside the bar and preferred to be focused on the beer rather than on team itself.

Football match is more fun watching your favourite team in a viewing Centre or bar, where you have the time to express your pleasure and displeasure about how the Match is being played, expecially when your favourite team is leading the game. But where the problem comes is when your preferred team is losing and your opponent start yelling and saying all sorts of unpleasant word to provoke you. Sometimes it literally Leeds to fight when you don't control your anger or emotion. So for that reason I don't prefer going to viewing Centre or bar but usually watch at home because I am easily provoked when people make fun of me when my team is losing.

Some people would love to watch their favorite team at home with their family, some at a bar while their are others who would love to go to a viewing center.

I am lucky that all of us do like the sports that I love so whenever there's a big event like the playoffs of the Finals, I won't have any problem because all of us are willing to watch it on just one television while enjoying the company of each other.
OP likes doing it on his laptop watching all by himself and I respect that. Some of us want a peaceful environment so we can analyze the game carefully while others do like companion while watching a game live so that they can enjoy it more and it also gives something to talk about after the game which is my favorite part. Debates will happen, healthy arguments, and you will know who is the fan of who. ;D
We all have our preferred ways on how we want to watch the game and I think the pay-per-view is meant for that.

Let us keep this discussion going, where would you prefer to watch your favorite team?

I normally leave home to a viewing center when ever it comes to my favorite team, it is an obvious fact that the feeling is always different watching your favorite team with an opposite team fans, analyzing and criticizing the game can be so fun although some go to the extend of embarking on a physical combat (fighting) as a result of arguments which is one of the reasons why most people don't go out to view matches because there are people or those who naturally have anger issues such that they are easily provoked to the extend of fighting even in the public centers. However, for me I have always choose to ignore whatever arguments that will lead to fight in such situations where most of the arguments can be very baseless.
