Bitcoin is digital gold, and as an asset it has long term durability, the longer the time the more valuable bitcoin becomes just like gold and other precious metals.


What makes bitcoin more unique is that, bitcoin is digitally tranfereble but all the other assets in bitcoin asset class are all offline, that is why some segments of bitcoin lover refer to bitcoin as a digital gold.

It will remain as that and no one would be able to overtake that position for a long time. Imagine, it has been approved with ETFs all around the world and no other crypto has done that yet and that's because it's #1. It will be an asset everyone should have because it's digital gold and I agree.

I agree with everything you said other than the part where you said BTC is the most generally accepted form of exchange in the world which isn't entirely true. As a form of exchange, Bitcoin is not so widely accepted in the world right now because most countries have not yet shown the green flag to it and you can barely find people or places where Bitcoin is accepted apart from a few countries that are Bitcoin-friendly and allow this thing.

The scarcity of Bitcoin is the reason why it's so popular because the demand keeps increasing and since it has a limited supply, it's value goes up every time the demand increases and more people want to have a share of the existing supply of it. This is also why the halving event is considered so important because it reduces the increasing supply of Bitcoin which makes it have a more stagnant circulating supply while the demand keeps increasing.

You can find many altcoins (alternate cryptocurrencies) with same total supplies like Bitcoin, many of them are Bitcoin forks, or smaller than Bitcoin total supply but these cryptocurrencies are either dead or have very low values.

It is certain that BTC will remain the greatest cryptocurrency in the world for a long time, although there are some currencies that can surpass Bitcoin in some of its characteristics, but there is no currency that can compete with Bitcoin or obtain the trust and status that Bitcoin has.

Limited supply may be an advantage bitcoin has over fiat currencies, but it is not the only factor that makes bitcoin superior and special. You're right, creating a coin with a finite supply has never been too difficult, many altcoins also have this feature but it's confusing that many people always consider it the pride of bitcoin.

First, I often read people mentioning the maximum 21 million BTC supply, but they often see the positive side due to the lesser supply it may cause with the higher demand it could cause. However, they neglect the limitations it can cause for the progress of Bitcoin. No wonder some crypto projects avoided that limitation and even made their projects more scalable than Bitcoin. All these are pros even if we are finding some excuses to prove that Bitcoin is better. And of course, it's uncontroversial that Bitcoin is the number one cryptocurrency in the world. It prepared the table for other cryptocurrencies and is the pioneer, what do you expect? It is already inculcated into the mainstream of the financial market and I expect it to take the front roll and role for as long as possible.

However, I hope the government will not someday clamp down on it, I don't trust them. This will be severe on the private and corporate users due to its decentralisation. Bitcoin is a true decentralised cryptocurrency, it has always been the headache of the government and they've never hidden their grievance about that. Don't just focus on supply and assume that's all bitcoin has to offer. We need benefits, use cases, security, decentralization...so many factors combine to make bitcoin a leading currency.

Agreed, bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrencies and it is difficult for another coin to replace it but that does not mean that in the future something better will not be created. No one thought Satoshi could create a great currency like bitcoin until it happened. And everything can repeat or happen in the future when someone creates something better than bitcoin. Transaction speed is not the time between blocks. Because it doesn't matter if it takes a second for a transaction to be confirmed and 10 seconds to get 10 confirmation as long as 10 confirmation doesn't make it irreversible.
That's what you should look at when considering "transaction/confirmation speed". Those altcoins you say "outperform bitcoin in transaction speed" do not provide the same security as bitcoin with the same number of confirmation. Usually you'll have to wait longer (to get a lot more confirmation) than bitcoin to get close to bitcoin's security (like 6 hours and 1000 confirmation versus bitcoin's 10 min and 1 confirmation).

Of course, there will not be a problem in a few seconds or a few minutes, but I am talking about the times when the transaction is delayed for hours and sometimes days in order to be confirmed. Fair enough. But you should refer to that as "network congestion" as opposed to "transaction speed".
Also keep in mind that all blockchain-based altcoins (DAG is slightly different and I can't comment on it for sure) suffer from the same flaws as bitcoin. Meaning they can experience network congestion as well, some of them even experience a much sever congestion with far less traffic compared to bitcoin if their usage were to grow.

Their is no currency that surpasses bitcoin in any aspect.  Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and other cryptocurrencies that we have where created with idea just to copy bitcoin.  Bitcoin is more reliable,  valuable and the most secure digital currency to hacked.  Bitcoin control the market and the movement of all coins in the market. I do not think there is any doubt that bitcoin will remain as the best and most powerful cryptocurrency in existence, as if we are honest even its closest competitors are relatively far, not only when it comes to the market cap behind each project, but also the trust that bitcoin garners on the community is almost unquestionable, while this is not the case with other coins that have some aspects that do not convince a portion of the community, and which I think it is more than enough to not allow those other projects to surpass bitcoin.

21 million total Bitcoin means limited. The value of Bitcoin is not the same as gold because the total amount of gold is infinite from time to time.
Bitcoin is known as digital gold because it has value, but the scarcity of Bitcoin is not the same as gold. If the 21 million Bitcoins run out, Bitcoins cannot be printed like paper money so Bitcoins are more valuable. Gold will not run out because gold comes from nature (earth).

It's a bold statement to say remain, especially when developers don't want to do anything new with it and in this, I mean, for example, increased block size. Bitcoin can't remain the greatest cryptocurrency in the world with 1 MB block size, it simply won't be able to handle a big number of transactions. It's also sad but Bitcoin is losing decentralization and more and more centralized entities are getting control over it. People also keen towards using centralized service providers instead of decentralized ones.

To my mind, the only thing that makes Bitcoin truly exceptional and probably the GOAT currency is that it's one of the first cryptocurrency and we don't know who created it. That's the magic that Bitcoin has and no currency will be able to copy that magic. Everything else is copyable.

There is no argument about this that Bitcoin is the most expensive and valued asset in the crypto market. All we need to keep doing to buy and accumulate because it is quite profitable for us if we are ready to invest in the future. The rich are wealthy because they are ready to take risk and invest in the future. I believe that we are going to end up seeing most of them not do that differently and not that well, because most of them are not really decentralized they just promote it as such but in reality they are still centralized.

And to think that it has been here for more than a decade and still creating a positive progress throughout its existence, then that must be something that bitcoin has to be proud of. And as one of its solid investors, I’m loud and proud to say that bitcoin is highly an exceptional one.

The real world is here again and we should make good use of opportunities when offered. Just know what to do, and everything will always run smooth for one in the system. Our greatest joy is watching our portfolio growing in huge figures and non-stop to that specific figures. Cryptocurrency is a formidable space where there's existence of opportunities to explore. We should know how fierce it can be if our projects are not hitted. Bitcoin will continue to dominate, this is one of the prolong solid projects in the market.

What I like to think as one of the things that makes Bitcoin stand out is that while it has 21 million total supply, you do not see any where that says that a particular percentage is allocated to Satoshi. They definitely have Bitcoin which they got through whatsoever means, but at least there’s no part of the whitepaper that says a percentage of it was allocated to them because they were the creators. This really makes sense as to how there is no central authority. I am saying this because of how altcoins allocate some tokens/coins to the makers.
