The Bitcoin halving seems to be pretty far since we have been anticipating it for a long time now/ But guess what we almost made it and not only that is is a double celebration for me ahead. In less than 24 hours I will be marking another 365 days completed and not just that, The Bitcoin network will be undergoing its 4 every halving in history. Yeah I had to check the calendar because it seemed a little too early. The bitcoin clock calculators have been fairly accurate and won’t be this quick. He got my hopes up a little.

It’s also true about the birthdays. After I turned 18, I pretty much stopped doing. Sometimes I don’t even remember my age to be honest.

What makes it strange, this time Bitcoin price "day after" halving might be lower than "30 days before" because currently the price is hovering around $61K. Something new might happen, probably the halving event ATH will be created in this year instead of next year, who knows.

It is not a little too early if you check what is in the image that OP posted. It remain less than 2 days and the closer it is the more accurate the estimation and it is already close.

It is not strange because bitcoin has not grown in price before halving until this time. Bitcoin got to all-time-high even before halving.

Looking at the table, I have this feeling of I cannot explain. The halving of 2024 will be very difficult to predict because  there are many complex, interacting variables at play and it is way unique and than those of 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2020. We cannot tell if the price day after, will slump further or that it pulls back 30 days after, as the reduced issuance rate gets priced in. With institutional investors buying, this is different from the other halving's we have experienced. I think that a new record and history will be made.

Its not by how far but how well, if you're going to be a year older in less than 24hrs then think about the achievements you have made between now and last and and also consider how you have been improving right from your day one on earth, bitcoin halving is a significant experience because we believe that such event make the unique increase in the value of bitcoin despite the decrease in the quantity supplied as mining block reward by 50% of the previous reward, what people celebrates most is achievements and not age.

Well, actually, halving countdown shows that halving is more than 24 hours away. The op's link indeed doesn't work, and Nicehash link, provided by Poker Player, says that halving is in 1 day and 23 hours. Another website says it's 1 day and 16 hours away, so the estimates vary. If it's op's first halving, it can be pretty exciting. As for me, it's my third one, I believe, so it's just the end of a cycle and a start of a new one. It won't have any direct impact on the price, nothing magical will happen around April 20. Perhaps we should actually think of making halving a Bitcoin holiday, sort of like people celebrate the New Year, but for now, that's not the case.

With the halving getting very close what would be of Bitcoin price because the price isn't getting higher but instead the market price is dropping than expected, shouldn't it make a positive stand even at this moment?
$61k without that sign of improving, does it mean that we might be seeing Bitcoin price hitting back at $59k-? If that's the case then we shouldn't be expecting a new ATH because we have already seen the last for this year's halving which is $73k (new ATH) if I'm not mistaken. I still don't get it why things are being mixed up, but let's see how it will be like with the  countdown (https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin/bitcoin-halving).

I think we all probably hyped being an adult too much that all we did was wait for it to come until it did and it’s just meh.. it’s still pretty much the same at least for me.

But with halving, I am excited and buzzing with nervousness. I don’t think halving will ever come and I am not excited for what is about to happen

It would be more remarkable for you, if you get to witness the halving with some Bitcoins in your wallet , so as you get a first hand experience on how it is.

As we anticipate the halving, am sure many investors are psyched up to take advantage of the bull run that precedes and for those who DCA, it's not of much consequence because we will maintain same ratio to meet the target we have set for ourselves, unless we do otherwise.

Do we as investors assume to celebrate bitcoin most by the halving? Of course I don't think so, every bitcoin moment is really Worth celebrating but it I'm to make a direct point then I'd consider the bull run when the ATH is most remarkable moments in the bitcoin market cap to be most warrant celebration because it's period of time investors gives count of most profitablities to their holdings in the main time of their investment until the next circle.

We'd keep believing that any future terms of details about bitcoin would always be assumptions.
So obviously your speculation about the halving in comparing to your recent bitcoin value in the market cap was wrong.
We're expecting the bitcoin halving yes, but no don't know when it would come but as at now there's no such to say we've dipped in to the halving yet.

Check out the bitcoin price at when I made this post and when you made yours then you'd notice even an increase of bitcoin price instead of depreciating. That's if we were actually and already at the pool of the halving.

It is quite interesting to see that the long awaited day is close to knocking on the door, and it is just for us to relax and drinking some gin to celebrate the halving. Investors have always put their minds on the halving event, because they know that it triggers the bull run, because it reduces miners reward into halve, limiting the quantity in supply.

I know this might not be strange to OGs here but this is the first halving, I am about to experience, and I want to see how this will make the price of bitcoin to pump and also to see the highest price that will be recorded as the new ATH by next year. I think, it is going to be a great experience.

Another halving event but this time a speculation of WW3 is surrounding. I am not that confident that after the halving event we will see green in the market. What I feel is that the situation have changed and we might see Bitcon taking a deep dive in the red zone. What I am confident is that a country like Israel will not stop. If that country attacks then there will be a global energy crisis and that situation would let to a big catastrophic across the world. I don't think that Bitcoin would be to counter the situation as in the past with COVID 19.

At that time everyone was trying to save themselves from the virus and also from their economic downfall as the fiat market was going down. In the current situation they will not have time to do it as the inflation and pay parity index will be overwhelming. I don't thing that the upcoming 2024 will be good for us or for Bitcoin.

I don't want to spoil your excitement, but I need to remind you that when the halving event happens, it doesn't mean it will immediately trigger a bull run for bitcoin. Halving can be considered the most important event of bitcoin and bitcoin investors wait for this event no differently than people welcome a new year with the hope of having more joy and better things in life. But don't forget that this is also a financial market and things will not go as we expect and especially when the crowd gets too excited, bitcoin may move in the opposite direction.

Like what happened in recent days, most people expected that as the halving approached, bitcoin would continue to increase in price but finally. Bitcoin is still in the correction phase.

From all the sources of when Bitcoin halving will start in this thread ,what all of them have in common is that it'll begin before the next 48 hours, and we're all looking forward to it, this will be my first experience and I'm quite excited to see how it'll affect price.

However, the time could vary for every countdown, as there are no exact time when we are going to see it. Good for you if the halving will happen on your birthday so just treat it as it is. The price though might take some time to increase and the immediate effect of the halving will not be felt. It might take weeks or months before we can see the price moving up. The current price is $62k++, so it's good for us to see above $60k during halving time and if by conservative estimates we might look at x2, then it will be $120k new all time high next year.

Although we may still need time to see the next highest price, we can still expect the price to start increasing after the halving. However, after the halving, the price may not immediately increase significantly, but it will gradually increase.

Yeah I also follow up the mempool.space site in monitoring the halving. The reason for the difference with other platforms is that those platforms or site like the one OP used have actually set the remaining block time to the average 10 minutes and we all know that the block timer actually varies and since mempool.space are aggregators for monitoring each block mined they got the near perfect time for the halving. But still on that a 7 hours difference is kind of too far between this two platforms. If OP cares to check again they might have adjusted the time too

No actual sign that something new is going to happen yet, we just don't how the market is going to play this time but all I know is Bitcoin Halving is a good thing when it comes to the market price of Bitcoin since it is going to affect its supply, we surely not going to see its effect right after the halving but in the long run Bitcoin halving effects is going to be seen and possibly going to trigger the market so for now I doesn't have any issue holding my Bitcoin and planning to sell when the Bullrun comes, I mean the drop surely is going to be a good opportunity to enter the market as well as accumulate more Bitcoin overtime, even though the market price is still kind high I would say that it is going to be all worth it accumulating since its still going to be Dollar Cost Averaging.

One day and few hours left I don't really expect to see a huge movement in the market, but probably if something is going to happen it's probably going to be a correction at this rate, better to hold right now if you don't have any plan on selling, or if you really want to exit the last ATH was a good exit strategy then re-enter the market when the correction comes, still relying on the Bitcoin halving pattern, if something new happened it doesnt really matter would still HOLD anyway.

This halving is happening at a time when the market has become difficult to predict. The spot ETF brought so much attraction to the market which made Bitcoin hit ATH before the halving. There is so much enthusiasm that the price will get to $100k and above. But high inflation and the conflict in the Middle East are trying to dampen the hope of hitting a high price. If the confrontation between Iran and Israel escalates to a war we might experience gas and oil supply shortages leading to high prices. This situation might slow global economic growth and it might affect the price of Bitcoin negatively. I just hope that this conflict is settled without further provocations.

If you are expecting for an instant pump during halving, then past has proven such thing to be non-existent. Bullrun occured months after the halving from the previous one, although there's no guaranteed consistency between events in this industry, what else can we be depending on right? Hence, be careful still. There is a possibility for a sudden dump in my opinion just like what happened last week. Things are still too early if I would be asked about it. For now, I am just waiting for a huge decline before I make an entry. I'm already good with my portfolio at this point but if there would be a massige discount on its price, then I can't see why I wouldn't be filling my bag and hold for a couple of months.

I think it's always kinda been a crapshoot.  Nobody can ever fully predict what'll happen with bitcoin prices.  Like yeah, the halvings usually cause some stir, but there's always a bazillion other things going on too that push and pull in every direction and  this time around, big institutional money is getting sucked in so their fat wallets could definitely juice prices more than past halvings.  Then again, you never know - if regulations smack down hard, or people just get spooked and bail, it might not turn out so hot.  I aint gonna try calling my shot for 2024.  With crypto, you takes your chances.

That's pretty sweet having your birthday coinciding with the bitcoin halving.  This is certainly a day a lot of us have been thinking /talking about for some time.  I am just curious how bitcoin is going to react once the halving goes in to place.  I've read that typically the price of bitcoin goes up, so hopefully that will happen again.  So happy halving and happy birthday to you!

There was an excitement for the event of halving previously but now as people are seeing such a down price then everyone is astonished about the future price and everyone is in doubt about the creations of the new ATH during halving.

I assume that the price will take time to increase and maybe it does not happen during halving but after halving the condition will become more suitable and price will go higher but still we cannot say something with surety as still price is so much low and if one have buy Bitcoin at a price more than 65k$ then now he is in loss so wait may be at the end of this year we see another ATH.

Whenever you're so eager to get something time plays a better part in that expectation, for a very long time we all have been expecting to see the halving period and now we're almost there but nothing seems to have changed with 16hrs to go and Bitcoin price is still not making a move to a figure we haven't seen in a long while (not 73k but something new), what seems to be the delay?
$64k is the new price, with much speculation the market price shouldn't be at this amount like something higher or let's say $74k should have been the current market price to show that we're almost there to see another shocking price before the halving time runs down, what are we expecting before the time runs down?

As @Poker Player said, maturity is when you realize that your birthday means that 1 year of your life has been deducted from the total years that you will live, and that shouldn't make you happy, people generally celebrate their birthdays for the day they came in the world but logically, it's something a bit sad.

So, it's finally time to witness what the whole industry has been waiting for since the last time Bitcoin hit $69k and started crashing from there, although investors from that time might have sold their assets when Bitcoin marked a new all-time high recently, those who bought in the bear market must be very excited about it and waiting to see what the near future beholds.

Bitcoin halving will start and only wait for 14 hours, once the halving takes place then the price of bitcoin will start to increase.  Bitcoin price has set new records in every halving cycle, so this halving cycle in 2024 will set the highest price record in Bitcoin history.

I guess this is your first time experiencing halving, right? Because those who have been in the market long enough and have gone through 1 or 2 previous halvings will understand that the bull season will not come immediately after the halving takes place. We need at least some time for the halving to have a positive impact on bitcoin and the entire market. And if I remember correctly, it took 6 months to a year for us to see the price of bitcoin increase and bull season arrive. No one knows what will happen and things could turn out differently, but don't be too subjective and expect too much that bitcoin will increase in price immediately when the halving takes place.

The day before the Bitcoin halving I thought the price of Bitcoin would go down, but today I see that the price of Bitcoin has increased compared to the last two-three days. Although there is still some time left, it is very difficult to predict whether the price of Bitcoin will go up or down. But I'm optimistic that after the Bitcoin halving the price of Bitcoin will continue to go up slowly, maybe even surpassing $100k when the Bitcoin bullrun starts.

Second, we are all waiting for this halving. It's just a few hours left. Very curious about what will happen next. Although if you look at market conditions, it's actually the opposite, because the market is dropping and crashing, so red charts are everywhere.

The question of whether it would continue continuously or even worse immediately spread throughout my mind. so that it can cause panic. But don't worry, every cycle [will definitely have its time. This is actually my third halving since my involvement with Bitcoin, but the first one where I'm actually present moments before it occurs, and I'm excited. I was a total noob when the previous halvings took place, and I wasn't exactly present the moment they occurred. They were the sparks that reignited my interest in Bitcoin because I had some long inactivity periods, and I restarted somewhere before or a little after the two halving periods occurred in 2016 and 2020, respectively.

Anyway, two more hours until we leave this place, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for us.

There is somewhere I have made mentioned of tomorrow morning or evening but from what I seeing now from the mempool, which it is only 13 blocks that is left so bitcoin will hit their halving era in this season in this night. Though it will still hit it in the morning if we use forum time. But if it is my local time, it is in this night. I welcome everyone to the halving. But one I am still confused is that the price.is still high because I was thinking that in the halving the price will reduce but it's like I am sensing irony in the case.

This is my first halving experience. I wished i had a good experience to share with how the previous halving started and ended. Meanwhile the mempool congestion is now what has been triggering fear in the heart of Bitcoin investors they are more people selling off their bitcoin because it seems that the price would fall drastically. No doubt the halving will be successful and we will see a new ATH again this year. I just pray that the transaction fees goes back to normal.
