Bitcoin Forum

Bitcoin Core 27.0 was released on 16th of April 2024 but the forum is still having the old version which is Bitcoin Core version 26.0. I'm creating this post to let administrators know that the forum's version of the Bitcoin Core needs to be updated to the newest version.

Bitcoin core 27.0 was released on 16th of April, that was a surprise release before the halving, that's why most people aren't talking about it because most of us were deeply interested in halving event  that we haven't even thought that Bitcoin Core's new version will be released before it.

Regardless of the link text, the button always redirects you to the download page of bitcoincore.org and gives you the latest version of bitcoin core.
So, it's not the link that should be updated. It's only the link text that needs to be updated.

@achow101 has posted today about the latest releases - 25.2, 26.1, 27 - hence I expect the forum link will also get updated soon^TM.

The only thing that is left is for Theymos to update it up on the forum as always but I believe his yet to do that at his discretion.

I was about to share the torrent link of the updated version of Bitcoin core but then I tought it would be great if Theymos share it on the top of the forum.

Thanks for letting me know, I haven't seen achow101's post and that's why I created this one. However, I hope that soon Theymos may update the Bitcoin core 27.0 and its torrent on the forum.
