Title: Has anyone tried Xeggex ?
Post by: HuckelFinn on April 26, 2024, 04:15:18 PM
Hi there,

I'm just wondering since they have a few low cap altcoins I would be interested in (and since DEX overall fees are sometimes expensive).

Never heard about it. One review I read seems quite reassuring (https://nonkycexchanges.com/xeggex-review/), but it would be even better if a few regular users could assure me that xeggex is serious, if only for the time it takes to deposit funds and place my orders.

Take a look at some other reviews it has, I pay extra attention to the negative reviews when assessing a website. I've never personally used this website.

I haven't used it myself, but... That site advertise it as a decentralized exchange. What's decentralized about it? I haven't made an account so I could be wrong but this looks like an exchange where you would need to deposit your funds to start trading and things are not done from your wallet.

The exchange also to have managed to get listed on CMC: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/xeggex/
and seem to have an active twitter page...

So I wouldn't disregard them, but I would still be cautious and not deposit what I can't afford losing, if I were you.

I have heard of this exchange from a few years ago where they launched a bounty on this forum but so far have never used this exchange, I don't consider this exchange shady because there have been no reports made on the forum nor on other platforms like trustpilot hence there are always complaints.
Try to visit it yourself because we don't have any experience on this exchange, if I have altcoins and to sell them on one of these exchanges maybe I will try it.

Customers and community reviews are based on personal experience.

Some users gives positive feedback while some of the users give negative feedback as their review which is cool based on what they experienced while operating the exchange.

Trust is hard this days which is why I am personally afraid of any exchange; I will hardly trust exchanges with my money because they can run anytime. I only give some trust to reputable exchanges like Binance, KuCoin,Bybit, and others, but any exchange that is not yet among these above listed exchanges, I have no single trust in them; I can trade in there and withdraw my money immediately.

I don't think anything is wrong with this exchange but at least anyone that is interested in it need to be scrupulous about how the exchange operates. If it has a great team that would continue pushing the adoption to the crypto space, that would attract more users that would want to use it and trade. Maybe op since he is interested in it would need to check App Store or Play Store for an accurate reviews from users that had used it before.

Never heard.

During my early years on the space, I did dabble into lesser known exchanges but it was always an amount I can easily forget in case I get burned lol. If you can't find any other exchanges for those coins and you think it's worth the trouble/risk, I think it can be a good middle ground approach. However, if you ever have to connect a wallet, do the trades on a VM and make a fresh wallet there -- to prevent drainer risk.

I have tested out on using Xeggex on which i could honestly tell that some gems is really that firstly been listed on this place or platform. It might not really be getting that much attention
but for those who are really that loving on trying to look for potential gems then you could also check out this platform. The only thing that i do complain is about into the overall design that
it does have which its really that basic or something generic in comparing about to those top exchange like Binance but if it works then it would really be still considerable.
I can say that this platform for legit and it would really be that just depending on your preference because usually people would really be that sticking into those top platforms on which
its not really shocking and always been that recommended.

Never used and heard of them.

And this is a good thing that you're doing and making a research before you even try to deposit on them. After reading a lot of us that are not familiar of it and never tried it.

The decision is in your hands whether to proceed or not and read as much reviews as you can and if there are bad reviews and experiences on them, take them into consideration.

Pretty bad after checking the web source of the site and I saw some tracking tools they use which is pretty bad to any exchanges

Code:
<!-- Google tag (gtag.js) -->
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-Q5EP9CV525"></script>
<script>
  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
  gtag('js', new Date());

  gtag('config', 'G-Q5EP9CV525');

It also track what browser and device you use at the bottom of the source code.

This means this website is low quality a real company or exchange always hires a professional and they do have their own analytics on the backend, unlike this website which only uses Google tag for tracking and other scripts they possibly use to collect data from your browser.

Be careful not to access the site if your browser is not protected and it is obviously a scam site.

If I remember correctly, it was in 2022 that I almost used that exchange to buy one newly listed shitcoin that a friend persuaded me to buy. The good thing is that I didn't invest in that token, and the investment was not profitable, so no regrets.

When I looked into that exchange back then, I don't think I was very impressed. I have not used the exchange, so I can't testify good or bad about them, but I know it's not a very popular exchange and also a new exchange just a few years old.

It's an exchange for shitcoins.

It's mostly popular with newly launched minable coins. That's how I got to know about it. About the quality if it's service, I am not sure but since it's a low-key exchange. Proceed with caution. Maybe send in small amounts to be exchanged to test it out.

Never heard of it until the moment I read the OP. It's not strange though because is 164 on coinmarketcap list of crypto exchanges. What's strange is you thinking about depositing funds with them. Every on coinmarketcap there are no available data on its financial reserves. You'd be doing yourself a huge disservice if you decide to leave known and highly reputable exchanges for the unknown crypto exchange without any record of financial data on one of the world's best crypto exchange ranking websites.

Same here. I thought at first they will be like the others who just come and go but I'm surprised that they have remained and many projects have now been listed on them. There are still exchanges which are older and more popular than them, so I wouldn't wonder on why you and some others haven't tried using this exchange yet. That's right, they might not be shady because if they do, then not many projects are going to trust them and then they won't be alive up to this date.

Maybe the only way I or some other users will use this exchange is if we have joined a bounty or an airdrop and then the token that we got is listed here because for sure, other early exchanges where they have listed are worse or unpopular than it.

It’s because you’re not used to degen trading or probably buying of shitcoins. The exchange is one of the lower exchanges and as such is easier to get new coins listed there before they come to the big exchanges. It is much higher in terms of rank and the volume on coingecko which is around 2.5 million. My take with exchanges like this has always been never leave off your funds in any exchange, should you need to leave some there, Make sure it is an amount that you can afford to lose.

The exchange is still a fair exchange to buy from if you don’t leave funds there as you shouldn’t be afraid.

Yeah I found some other same complainant about the same platform, mind him why not he uses other exchange  (http://bestchange.com)because I know that some of these exchange can't be that reliable, although i had never tried it for myself but i won't blindly go use that exchange after seeing a bad review from people who had experience on how the platform has held their fund captive till date without any solution to resolve the issues.

One complaint or a couple wont really be something a solid indication that it is a scam exchange or something that cant be trusted or relied upon. So far i havent seen that much of a severe issues with them.
I have bought Redev2 on this exchange and XPE too.

https://xeggex.com/market/XPE_USDT
https://xeggex.com/market/REDEV2_USDT

I dont have issues with them, security is fine. The only complaint i do have on this exchange is that the design or overall UI
is really just that generic if you do tend to compare it out on those top exchange we do have now like Binance or OKX.

That's also a new site for me, I haven't tried it before and it's kind of strange to hear about them doing sorts of trading. What I'm really interested on exchanges who kept offering service in crypto, listed coins that got huge market cap other than that isn't consider reliable asset.
Anyways thanks for sharing that information, I expect other user would love to share their experience from this exchange.

I won't spend a lot of time into trying new exchanges to me. I have never heard them and probably won't spend any dime trying to navigate the website.
If OP is genuinely asking for the reviews of this website, he should get at least some idea already that many of us aren't familiar with it. And when something isn't familiar for most, you should make a conclusion already.

Trustpilot has been accused of extortion[1]. Ironically, I would not trust the reviews of Trustpilot.

But I would compare the reviews with reviews from other review websites or forums. Although that kind of research might take a bit of time. But it is always best to DYOR.
