Which altcoins have performed the best in terms of price growth in 2024 ?

The beginning of the year saw the price of Bitcoin rise and Bitcoin entered its all-time high, while many Altcoins followed Bitcoin's rise in value. I think Solana altcoin is the best performer in terms of price growth this year. Last year Solana coin's price has increased almost 20 times this year. This year alone we have seen Solana Coin go above $200. If the price is now at $146 with a corrections. But I think the Solana coin will perform even better when the next bull season starts.

The year has not ended yet, so if you are asking about which coin good for the 1st quarter of the year. Actually, there are a lot of them. Sol is one of it but this year is still long to go and we have to wait until the end of the year, there are for sure still going to be better performers by eoy. But if there is one sure, no doubt it is BTC. Becausw as of this 1 quarter, it has broken new ATH.

You must be specific with your question. If you are also asking about which top tokens that have been doing massive growth and it must be solana. It grows from less than 10 bucks to the 150 bucks in a month.
That's amazing growth recording by solana compared to the other major coins in the market at this moment.

If it is about pure price growth then some memecoins can be talked about. That is because a lot of them are pumped from 0 so we can see massive growth however they do not get to maintain them anyway and end up losing just as fast as they have gained.

If we practically consider AltCoin growths by prices, ETH would always be a champion amongst others.
Determining the price growth of Cryptocurrencies could depend on their potentials and volume of adoption. It could also be determined by more addictional values to the initial price during market hypes.
But I've always wondered if does investors literally have to base their eagerness of investing in any of the coins due to a furious rose of market increase without considering the Coin potentials? Because to me as a long term inventor, I'd prefer to invest on the coins with long term goal rather than the short term and that's why ETH has taken a good shape ranging within AltCoins.

The irony is with memecoins, but I'm not sure how fast those things will go up or down. Up to now in 2024 there has been a lot of nonsense in the space especially from SOL, however we are only in Q2 and there is still plenty of time for the candidates to continue making waves next. Perhaps in every bullish trend we cannot avoid the hype and FOMO in the space, the way news navigation is leading newcomers to the trends is really difficult to consider as solving the problems. As for crypto, it's a bit of a metamorphosis as we see more ponzi schemes happening.

The first quater of 2024 belonged to Bitcoin. It saw an exponential growth in its price wherein it went above $73K and created a new ATH. All thanks to Bitcoin ETFs which caused a small bull run before the halving event, which was first time as before halving we have always witnessed bear market. All other altcoins followed Bitcoin but were unable to break their previous ATH. They were all in green but the returns were not significant.

Of course, it is the SOL coin that has performed best from January till now. And i also believe it will do more this year when Bitcoin reaches a new ATH. I bought SOL at $65 in December last year and by January I was at $92 close to $100. Back then there was a little drop in the price when it went back to $80 i almost removed my investment because i thought a dip was beginning to start. Not quite long it reached $110. Funny enough i am still holding till now because i understand that SOL will do well this season and no doubt about it. Patience is the key to seeing that goal come true.

I still really admire ethreum even though I am a chain arbitrum user ;D, I think this year ethreum will continue to pump up to $5000, the pump I expect and I still dca with what I can afford, there are still 3 quarters that will continue today's price, I am optimistic about ethreum's rely on the altcoin genre, ethreum in my opinion is the most respected of the old altcoins and the community of another large coin hardly disturbs ethereum. I think it has its own class and so far the transaction density is so good. I will keep it even towards the next halving. ethreum is very functional and I often need it for daily transactions. Indeed, if the value is only a few tens of $ it will be like being stuck and like keeping whole money ;D I keep ethreum for cash in case of emergency in airdrops.

ALtcoin is also a hype and hot trending topic like meme coin genre, you can reset first and recognise your risk, don't be surprised by the fud that attacks because the fierce competition to attract investors is so real, so get the best value from meme coins that some people hodl ;) , DYOR

Dogecoin had big gains recently but it is generally better to avoind Memecoins.
Doge is a special case because it is unique, which we have very seldom from Memecoins.
Dogecoin is an original coin.

Most "Memecoins" are not even coins, most "Memecoins" are tokens

I am not really too into altcoins, but I know that Solana has really had a huge pump this year, as have some other altcoins too. Binance coin and Ethereum coin had also pumped and generated some good profit this year, including some other newly listed tokens on some centralized exchanges. Right on the bybit exchange, I saw a newly listed coin that had already pumped by 1200%, but right now I can't remember the name of that token again. In conclusion, there are many altcoins that have already pumped this year. 

Borrow, Lending, adding liquidity, staking etc. ....
Some projects with this kind of use usually have a fairly fast growth, why not when they will hold an airdrop then they can collect millions of dollars or even hundreds of millions. You know some of these projects have been successful in the market.
But I don't look at altcoins so much because I still have doubts even though growth is so fast.

The top performed was coming from defi. Aedrome has been growing up drastically even from below 10 cents. That's amazing performance from defi token. It's being followed by meme token who is placed at the second place.

Meme coins are still on the go as of this moment. As we head to the bull run, many of them are showing gains and that's attracting more investors.

But for someone who has no that much holding on it, you'd better go with the more assured and conservative type of portfolio that you don't go that much into meme coins.

Yes, DYOR because not at all times they're going to be profitable and most of them are going to be dumped hardly.

Theres a lot in the bags actually. If you noticed since the bear crashes. Almost major alts keep up their prices. Also some made some new ATH like INJ which is still on their price discovery. If theres an L1 to bet with I think this one is also good considering their supply are all been circulating and only burning of tokens are left. The supply will only go down few years at a time and inflation will definitely match with its marketcap. Not an advice to shill but an objective point of view.

But meme coins cannot be used as long-term assets. I'm not sure meme coins will be able to maintain their value until the end of 2024. OP asked about the best growing altcoin in 2024. This year is still long. But if it is from January to May I agree with you that most meme coins experience good growth. But if we talk about projects that have real cases, several projects such as TON, Ondo, Altlayer and Rndr are projects that also recorded significant increases if calculated from the beginning of 2024. The after-effects of the halving caused many potential altcoins to experience quite deep price declines. So I think I'll wait a few more months to get a better answer.

Memecoins have been on the trends each season and it have always included top whales that are confident enough to have huge figures invested on memecoins. I would kindly urge anyone that's picking interest in memecoins to thoroughly DYOR. Memecoins have always been in the picture and have made the huge pumps thereby showing evidence for investors and the ones that have been dealt with by the market to reconsider their steps and fall to memecoins.

Investing in projects that have already risen is not a good idea. Choose projects carefully so that there is demand for them and yet they have an acceptable price. If the price has not risen, then this is an ideal opportunity to buy more, and so on. Many people recommend Solona/Doge/Ethereum, but they have already risen and the value of their rise will be less than Bitcoin, and 6 months ago, not many people were recommending Solona.

Bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and Solana have performed better in the current year and some months have been remaining in this year so I think top coins will go to show a huge pump. Meme coins are attaining the interest of many Individuals but due to its increasing achievement they are still full of risk and full of hazards.

Solana have shown huge gain in the current year and I think if someone has regular buy and sell their Solana coins according to pump and dump then they will have huge gain but every person cannot do this as it requires experience.

Some "meme" projects went up a lot but at the same time we are talking about something that is pump and dump situation and unfortunately because of the rise they get people end up with a thought that they are better to invest because they went up a lot. If you take something that is 3, and make it go up to 100, that is a huge increase, but if then it goes down to 1 or under then it wasn't a great investment to those who didn't sell at the top prices.

This is always how it ends up, and this is the reason why you could go to twitter accounts of those tokens, and you will see that people are always crying about it. We are on a good period, even bitcoin did 4x all together, which means that risking everything for 6x makes no sense to me at all.

they are risking because they think the altcoins season hasn't really come. since 2023-24 Bitcoin is the only that comes up and some few altcoins which is why there is a good reason to buy those meme despite it drops below 3 after it shoots 100.

so far one of the altcoins that i have been watching since is the TONcoin, this year has been so good for the investor of this TON.
