Title: Post deleted?
Post by: Lucusfoundation on May 10, 2024, 06:43:11 PM
Hey,
I created a post in project discussions announcing a Bitcoin Exchange. [ANN].
I now can't see it neither on my posts nor in the section.
I imagine it means it has been deleted?
Best!

This post? [ANN] Roxom - Bitcoin Denominated Markets (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5495790). You can see that it has been deleted.

This is the archived: https://ninjastic.space/topic/5495790

I check the site, it is not an exchange. The site offers nothing than the price of some stocks or something. The site is not developed and it is at its primitive stage.

You created your post (topic) in the "Bitcoin discussion" board. It is a general board for discussions about Bitcoin and related topics, but nothing else. That's probably the reason why your topic was deleted.

Probably moved to the trashcan or deleted because it does not belong to Bitcoin discussion board. Your post is an Announcement about an exchange, so the best board to post it should have been Exchanges board.

Nothing much seems you didn't post at the right section or your post didn't meet the criteria hence it could be moved to archived. Most times you need to know where to post before making your post, although it could be that the website you posted seems to be a bit not legit or something so but I can't really give true reason except for the admin. But usually your post should had been made in announcement section instead of bitcoin discussion.

Simply follow forum rules and you're good. Posting anywhere with a word [ANN] on its subject outside Services annoucement boards (same on altcoins boards) will automatically deleted.

Indeed it is this one.
We just posted the v0 without further information so we could have a "Birth Date". A date and time of when we went out to the "Internet".

We will be posting more information soon.
Thank you for the answer @_Act_ and everybody else. Very helpful.
Could you please direct me to where should I move it and how should I proceed for it to NOT be deleted?
I'm hoping I can revive that post once we go with all the information so we can keep that birth date.
Best and thank you all!

If it is indeed an exchange then it belongs HERE (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0) on the exchanges board. Good luck!!

Not sure why it was deleted but it looks like the topic was posted in wrong section which was Bitcoin Discussion. In this type of cases I saw the topics used to be moved to the correct section. Lucusfoundation, you need to post it on Exchanges (http://https//bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0) board as yahoo62278 suggested.

yahoo62278, you got the wrong link :-)
May be you were on your mobile device.

New laptop and getting used to the new keyboard. You'd think they'd be the same, but they aren't. Anyways, fixed now and thx for pointing out the error so I could fix it.

This must be a coincidence, I bought one last evening :-) Bigger screen, bigger keyboard layout and yes there are some keys that are placed in different area too.
You are welcome bud.

It was reported for "Wrong area, Marketplace Services ad". Not sure if it should have been straight up deleted or not without seeing the content.

This account you are using was registered in 2018, so I wonder how it is possible that you have a problem finding the right board for what you want to post? The forum may look complicated, but there aren't that many main boards that you need to click on to see what's behind them.

In addition to what has been replied to you from _act_, i will like to make an additional information on that, post where being deleted for many reasons best known to the moderators, these often happened after which the thread or post had been reported to the moderators or they by themselves find out that it contains some suspicious content in which can be harm to other users, so i will advise you don't post something that can lead to scam or others being affected, whenever you're not sure about such, just as you have been told on the content to what you posted.

You can click on the link and see the products and services the exchange is providing. You will see that the exchange is providing no exchanges. I posted about this and he admitted that I am correct. If it is an exchange, the exchange would have been moved by the other moderator instead of deleting it but that is not yet an exchange but a site that list the price of some stocks in bitcoin which I think was the reason it was deleted.

I may be wrong, but I doubt the moderator who handled the report actually checked the content on the website. The post was reported for being in the wrong section. The moderator likely saw the post and didn't consider it valuable enough to move it to the correct board. Instead, they deleted it (moved it to trash), which is common practice for low-value topics and posts.

@Lucasfoundation, feel free to create a new topic in either the 'Service Announcements (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0)' or 'Service Discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=85.0)' boards, depending on the nature of your thread. Both board names are quite self-explanatory. You can also browse through threads from other services for inspiration.

That’s the most probable from an understandable stand point. The threads seems okay although, it isn’t properly detailed. I mean, this is supposed to talk extensively on a service but, it’s a bit kinky as it is , okay bit kinky.

Having to post it on a Bitcoin discussion board is the exclusion you did to your thread, it’s off board and depending on the moderator, it’s got to find its way to the right board or end up as a deleted post. Either way, deleting posts is a common thing on the forum and you might see a lot of that in time if you aren’t posting where you should or making off point comments.

You can always create the thread again and with more content to describe your service and how to work it, a proper Ann thread too.
