Title: Does the world know about Bitcoin?
Post by: Emmybit001 on May 12, 2024, 12:53:55 AM
To me i think there are some part of the world that still don't know anything about Bitcoin, because there are people in USA, UK, Australia, Canada, China, etc. even in Nigeria there are people that don't know anything about Bitcoin, they always think that Bitcoin is a scam, but people that know about it are making thousand of Dollars,($) I think they don't know that we are in a digital world now.

Then it's our duty to tell those people about it, be it through information drives or word of mouth, we need to spread what bitcoin is all about. It's the duty of the community to do that and instead of wandering, shouldn't you be doing something that would benefit bitcoin and the community by talking about it with people that you meet? Also, you don't have to worry that the whole world knows about it, that will come to that point eventually because we all know that a word of mouth will be like a plague and it will spread in an exponential pattern. Another thing that you should consider is the fact that you should see this as an opportunity for you to invest in bitcoin while it's notoriety all over the world isn't that big because once it does that, you would regret it because the demand will be surging which means that the price is also going to surge more than you can imagine, this current 60k price of bitcoin is going to be nothing compared to that.

There are people who really don't know about the existence of the internet and its applications in life, so bitcoin is not too special for them.

If you have heard of a poor place, an ethnic minority area, or a land of monks,... they don't know or don't bother to see what social life is going on. It's a matter of social conditioning, or perhaps control, that makes accessing something seem unfavorable.

Even in my family the grandmother is now almost 80 years old but they don't want to use the internet and don't care about some devices like smartphones, there is no pressure on anyone to know about bitcoin.

Obviously there are people that would be ignorant of bitcoin whether it’s their fault or not.

Some people just do not have as much access to the internet as much as the rest of us have. They are barely earning fiat money how would they know about digital currencies? On the other hand, there are people who have access to the internet but are on the wrong side of it.

They are seeing misconceptions about bitcoin and are really believing it. We must fight against the words of these people as they will try to constantly destroy the image of bitcoin to those who might not have been exposed to the correct information.

In my opinion, the younger generation should be the one who is most knowledgeable about bitcoin. Old people (bless them) do not really need to be using all this as it’s not exactly necessary to live at least for now. They can survive without using bitcoin however the new generation would definitely be welcomed in to a world where digital currencies are the new normal hence why they have the most to learn about bitcoin.

Honestly, many are aware, but few truly care. Ultimately, Bitcoin won't emerge as a mainstream currency; instead, countries will likely embrace their own digital currencies. Bitcoin is simply another asset for speculation. With the introduction of ETFs, it's essentially morphed into just another tradable stock.

To be fair, our world is so colorful and bitcoin is just one of humanity's many inventions, so it's not surprising that many people don't know or don't want to care about it. Many people lived rich and fulfilling lives before bitcoin came along, so why should they care about bitcoin? So we don't need to ask everyone in the world to know about bitcoin and own it if they want to have a good life.

Besides bitcoin, there are many other ways and investments that can also help us become rich and each person will have their own suitable choice. Bitcoin is not the only path to wealth, so we do not need to force or impose our thoughts on others.

Bitcoin is a speculative asset but its acceptance will increase day by day. The demand for Bitcoin has increased with the approval of ETFs.

This is quite a complex issue, although someone in a developed country also does not know for sure about Bitcoin and how it works.

There are several factors that affect a person's level of knowledge about Bitcoin such as internet access, education, age, income, and the country they live in.
Some developed countries do dominate, the level of awareness about crypto or bitcoin higher than developing countries and are still constrained by difficult internet access and lack of education.

Here are some recent survey results:

- YouGov Global Survey (2023): 86% of respondents in 11 countries know what Bitcoin is.
https://business.yougov.com/es/content/46119-cripto-mexicanos-interes
- Gemini Survey (2023): 70% of adults in the United States know what Bitcoin is.
https://www.gemini.com/
- Bitwise survey (2022): 26% of adults in 18 countries have basic knowledge of Bitcoin.
https://bitwiseinvestments.com/crypto-market-insights/the-bitwise-vettafi-2023-benchmark-survey
- Finder survey (2022): 41% of people in 27 countries know what Bitcoin is and how it works.
https://www.afr.com/technology/fred-schebesta-s-finder-claims-its-crypto-product-wasn-t-money-20231004-p5e9mc

In general, knowledge about Bitcoin is still concentrated in developed countries.
The level of awareness continues to increase around the world, along with the increasing adoption and media coverage of Bitcoin.

Many countries don't know about Bitcoin but if they know about its use, they will definitely use Bitcoin. Maybe the government of their country has left them behind in all aspects. Bitcoin is a speculative asset but its acceptance will increase day by day. The demand for Bitcoin has increased with the approval of ETFs.
But it also needs to be adjusted to the needs and how the economic conditions in the country.
Not all countries will accept it well, because it is related to regulatory issues, even in my country the regulation of crypto is not fully allowed and is only a commodity asset.

With ETF approval, it also would not guarantee increased adoption or regulatory changes,
perhaps just as early acceptance and introduction as possible.

I'm sorry, but Bitcoin's case isn't strengthened when only unstable or corrupt governments are the ones adopting it. We need not only developing nations but also developed ones to embrace it. Furthermore, merely becoming another ticker on the exchange doesn't serve its intended purpose.

Indeed, let's observe that demand evaporate once we enter a bear market and witness an 80% loss. These retail investors are poised to suffer significant losses.

Yes because crypto works on technology and I believe developing countries do not have a great chance of mastering due to the state of facilities. Not only that mindset, literacy skills also keep many countries from developing into the digital, including cryptocurrencies. So many people know unfounded facts and they keep talking to others and cause bad crypto conditions for new people.

I think most people who are in charge of their portfolios, they follow the markets and they know what Bitcoin is. However aside from these people and maybe a few people with jobs in the tech sector, they don’t know anything about bitcoin.

This is just because of illetracy that people are indulged into. Now the term illetracy don't always mean that it's due to educational negligence but nowadays people are unaware of the social and internet norms. They don't believe that you can work online and generate an handsome amount of income.

This myth is still wondering around people due to the scams that are running in online earning sector. We have to educate people about the Reality and to educate them about the techniques through which they can safeguard themselves from scams.

There are some parts of the world where people are dying of hunger, some have never seen an electronic device throughout their lives, and a very large percentage don't have access to electronic devices or the internet, even among those who have mobile phones and have access to the internet, a lot of them don't know much about what's happening around the world because all they know or care about are using social media platforms to see reels and watch pictures and videos people are posting.

People from developed countries are mostly aware of such things because the rate of literacy is higher in those countries. Most people have basic education and have access to basic facilities such as electronic devices and the internet, so they usually stay updated with what's happening around the world or even within the internet universe unlike those who live in developing or third-world countries where mostly large percentages of the population lacks basic education and when that is the case, you can expect them to not know a lot of things including Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.

Maybe so but I know there should be at least small percentage in every country that knows about bitcoin. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one who knows about bitcoin around me but I am surprised that many people even those who are not that particularly intelligent in school back then, knows about bitcoin. I think we should give people some credit. There are so many ways a person could have heard about bitcoin.

If they can think that Bitcoin is a scam then they already know about it and they refuse to learn more about it, someone who have not heard about Bitcoin before won't know if it's a physical item or not, they won't know if it works offline or not, but majority of people who are not into Bitcoin knows these already, they choose to hate it or just judge it straight out of the box.

What I am surprised about is the so called educated ones, those who went through college, how can they misjudge Bitcoin? Because they can just grab their phone and do some research, some don't want Bitcoin to be successful out of the box because this will give opportunities to those who have no degree as well.

I am talking this from experience, this is what the educated ones around me are showing, they knew I have no degree, and they do, so how can I be the one to tell them that something actually works? This is the kind of vibe they are giving me so I locked up, later one of them went and did his research and I don't know if he is now into Bitcoin investment.

Of course there's some people that still don't know about bitcoin, even if there's some recognition in mainstream media, you got to remember that not everyone in the world tunes in on the same channel and not everyone even has a television maybe even access to free information in some countries, that's why you don't need to wonder anymore why bitcoin being renowned isn't as big as you expect it. There's like billions of people on Earth, can't expect all of them to be invested or even know about bitcoin, there's already a good portion of population that knows about bitcoin but they don't believe in it and they think that it's still a scam so your worry isn't going to be of any significance.

The world generally knows about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is now a globally known asset but not yet a currency. Around the world people see Bitcoin as an asset that they can either use to grow their wealth or store the value of their wealth. We still have a long way to go before Bitcoin get recognized and used as a currency. There are still some people that don't have an idea what Bitcoin is and those that intentionally neglected knowing about Bitcoin irrespective of them having the opportunity of hearing about Bitcoin but they don't care because the governments has spoiled their mind and they consider Bitcoin a scam already.

We owe it to the industry to enlighten people when we get the opportunity because we shouldn't expect the governments to help us by doing that. We're on our own as the governments are enjoying the negative reaction people get when they hear about Bitcoin as it keeps them away from investing. As the day goes by, more and more people needs to keep hearing about Bitcoin and they will but for now, I believe the gospel is spreading so fast.

Being in the digital world is not equal to knowing about bitcoin. There are digtal payment systems and online payments which are the hallmark of a digital era but bitcoin is nowhere within it, so dont equate them.

Now since I have been with bitcoin since 2015, there was a time when a handful of people knew about bitcoin in my country. From there today I can see bitcoin casinos being promoted with banners on the passing by cars and people casually talking about the recent altcoin investments.

So indeed we have improved, but there is a huge room for further improvement. Misconceptions cannot always be cleared, your job is to help clear them as much as possible.

Does the world know about Bitcoin?
If you compare the age of bitcoin with traditional assets such as gold or real estate, bitcoin is just a newborn, so it is normal that many people do not really know about its existence. Besides, there are many people who think it is a scam, which is not too strange because it simply has not been legalized worldwide, many governments still ban it. But that is an advantage, not necessarily a disadvantage, an advantage for us, the pioneers of the bitcoin revolution. So we need to take advantage of this time to own as much bitcoin as possible before the rest of humanity fights for it.

It's true that there are still some people who don't know bitcoin, even some of my office friends don't know what bitcoin is. And as you said some of my friends think bitcoin is a scam. When they asked me if I was trading or investing in bitcoin, many of them warned me to be careful. But I'm sure that's only some people.

In my opinion, people who don't know about bitcoin are divided into 2 categories. The first is people with a low economy so they don't have access, then the second is people who don't follow technology and these are usually older people so they miss out on technological developments. I'm sure compared to previous years, this year people's understanding of bitcoin is very great. At least they must have basic knowledge about bitcoin or crypto.

In fact, many people already know about Bitcoin but are still in the stage of ignorance and doubt, they are not even investing. That is why we can't assume that everyone will take this as an opportunity and we can't urge them to do so as taking risks is not the passion of all but a choice of some.

Adaption is too low but the spread is too fast, unfortunately, with the number of scam issues that we heard in the news, that somewhat influences the listeners as well and becomes uncertain.

IMO, it is not about knowing the number of people who know about Bitcoin, it is supposed to know how strong their interest is in this.

I think your opinion you are trying to express via this post is vague. Now I'm saying this because if I should answer the title of your post, the answer is obviously a capital YES. Bitcoin is not only the first crypto currency in the world but also the most popular crypto currency with the highest market value and market cap in the whole of the crypto space. Bitcoin currently is one of the most trusted form of crypto investments amongst all other crypto currencies not only because of its current value but also because of it trend and nice pumps over the years.

Now for me I think the best title for this post should be "How much of the world understands Bitcoin" because literally it's safe to say the whole world knows about Bitcoin however not the whole world understands it and how it works.

Many people who do not know about bitcoin today is as a result of uncivilization, residing in poor networking areas like village there by not being able to access the internet or not being able to afford degital assets because of poor earnings or no aidable means of earning income. But most people today choose to be ignorant of bitcoin mostly because of related stories of how people are been scammed off their bitcoin. Some people do not even want to know more about bitcoin on hearing the the current price of bitcoin, they conclude it is no longer accessible or too expensive to get.

I know plenty of people who never heard of bitcoin, and if they heard about it, they still don’t know what it is.
But assessing the situation only by one’s immediate environment is not an indicator of the reliability of this data. Statistics with a large number of respondents are needed. Also, have you talked to all of them about bitcoin? There is still a possible moment when people will remain silent about their knowledge about bitcoin, if they have experience investing in this asset, both positive (to avoid theft and robbery) and negative (not wanting to share about their failures).

Terpin "bitcoin", as a certain brand, I believe, many people could hear from the media and news, because every strong drop or rise in price is widely discussed, but without personal interest (the desire to invest), their knowledge probably ended there.

Ask any old person if they know what Bitcoin is and see if you find someone who actually knows anything about crypto currency.
Most older people have either heard very little (know nothing) about bitcoin, or have heard, but consider it a ponzi-pyramid-scheme due to their low awareness on this topic (a superficial judgment based on government media).

I think most people who are in charge of their portfolios, they follow the markets and they know what Bitcoin is.
BTC-investors, at a minimum, have a basic understanding of this type of asset, but if their portfolio doesn't include cryptocurrencies (filled with securities from the traditional stock market), then these investors may not be aware of bitcoin, because all their attention is focused on Wall Street.

However aside from these people and maybe a few people with jobs in the tech sector, they don’t know anything about bitcoin.
There are also not many bitcoiners in the technology sector, because I have heard from many of them their hostility towards bitcoin and their attitude as a financial pyramid. Again, all their judgments were based on their minimal (insufficient) knowledge of bitcoin.

If we sum up a certain thesis, then we can safely say that people’s lack of knowledge/acceptance of bitcoin is based on their ignorance. Those who more or less have sufficient information about bitcoin see advantages in this asset and try to take advantage of it.

If they can say Bitcoin is scam, technically they know Bitcoin.

If they say "what's that?" "Umm sorry, Bitcoin?", those people really didn't know Bitcoin at all.

There's always a person that still didn't know Bitcoin because they're poor and they didn't even have cell phone to access digital world. You can try to ask beggars in your country.

That we are in a digital world does not mean that we all will shift to becoming aware of the things happening in the digital world over night, people move at different pace and speed, and so also does becoming aware of new invensions take some time for some and most people.
It is true that some people in several parts of the world are yet to become aware of the existence of bitcoin, or what it stands for, but I do not blame such people because possibly, the information about bitcoin has not reached them.

Innovations like this doesnt arise and become known all over the world overnight, it takes time, several years actually, what If I tell you that there are still some part of the world that know nothing about gold and other precious stones? So, it is with time that the knowledge of bitcoin will reach every crook and cranny of the world.

Bitcoin is already known worldwide, but only selected groups or individuals actually know and have an interest in it. I'm sure many people know about it or have seen it but don't have a slight idea because it is complex, and many people are afraid to try new things, especially if they are related to money or what. That's why I think if we can just spread bitcoin in a good way or in a proper way, then we could influence other people to invest in it and actually earn from it, because not all things are easy to do and there are risks in everything, so if we can have a proper introduction and a proper guide for other people, then it will be a good thing. So to answer your question, yes, bitcoin is already known worldwide; it just has to be pushed and properly introduced so people will take a risk on it.

I think the answer is yes" the world knows about bitcoin, bitcoin is the  must popular cryptocurrency in the world, and is also known as the most reliable and profiting coin in terms of crypto investment. The risk in bitcoin investment is never to be compared with the risk in other coins like meme and altcoins that is why a lot of people prefer to invest in bitcoin instead of other coins, this makes bitcoin getting more popular to the world.

You need to understand that, as the world is evolving not everyone is moving with the new trends. Tchnology, even money has evolved and we are now in the Cryptocurrency era even though the fiat is still the most used currency currently but you should know that there are still primitive people that are not used to the modern world, there are still some tribes that are located in forests and survive with nature, they lack exposure to technology and it would take a long time for them to get exposed to the modern way of life. Asides that, even in the modern world there are people that have been scammed through Bitcoin and thus it made them to develop such believe that Bitcoin is a scam not knowing it was used by bad actors to scam them. Such people lack understanding and it's our duty to teach about it when we come across them, well the social media is playing a good role towards that and I believe with time more people would begin to understand Bitcoin and it's usefulness.

There are some people who don't know about Bitcoin because in certain areas there is no internet and the origin of Bitcoin is not possible without the use of the internet. And those who are a little bit familiar with Bitcoin are not going to accept it because of their trust in physical investment instead of digital investment.

People will only accept it if they find anyone who is getting huge profit from Bitcoin investment but I think we cannot give brief details to anyone about Bitcoin who is living in a village because they are not mostly related to online earning.

I'm sure there are tons of people who haven't heard of Bitcoin or have heard of it but didn't pay attention and know nothing about it. Bitcoin is owned by less than 5% of the population. It doesn't mean that 95% are unaware of it, but I believe it means that a significant amount is likely to be unaware.
Some countries did polls on Bitcoin and/or cryptos, so it's easier to understand how many people haven't heard of it there, but I couldn't find trustworthy international data. In the US (https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/04/10/majority-of-americans-arent-confident-in-the-safety-and-reliability-of-cryptocurrency/), only 12% of adults haven't heard of cryptos, for example, as of 2023. But that doesn't mean that the numbers are similar on the global level.

Don't be surprised if there are people who don't know about Bitcoin because I guess that people who don't know about the internet are very likely to experience this because the information they have access to is limited, as well as people over 60 years old who are usually not very interested in technology, especially if they live in a country with a limited internet connection, they will usually prefer something traditional.
You can tell Bitcoin to those closest to you about the technology, while other things such as the profits you get from storing it will be like financial advice which might be misinterpreted by them if you don't explain it correctly.

It is true that there are still many places in the world where no one knows about bitcoin. They may be out of touch with technology and have no connection to the internet so how will they know about bitcoin if there is no internet. If they know about the use of bitcoin they will definitely use bitcoin but it will be difficult to convince them many will not want to invest easily considering the risk. There are many older people who do not believe in these and have no knowledge about technology.

Almost all countries know about Bitcoin, although there are some countries that may not know about Bitcoin. But I don't immediately agree that the country you mentioned is a country that doesn't know about Bitcoin because the US is a country that has a large amount of Bitcoin in their portfolio.

For me, what is needed is not promoting Bitcoin because Bitcoin is very familiar to people who are updated on world developments.
What is needed is someone who knows the advantages and how Bitcoin works.

It’s possible that there are parts of the world that Bitcoin is still an alien concept, however bitcoin can be said to be a household name in the countries you mentioned. Though these countries may not be bitcoin friendly and some have strict regulations regarding bitcoin transactions, the fact is that the public are very much aware of bitcoin. Is the information they have regarding bitcoin 100% accurate? I cannot say for sure.

but people that know about it are making thousand of Dollars,($) I think they don't know that we are in a digital world now
This is a wrong perception of bitcoin. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, just because you know about bitcoin doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to get rich. First you have to understand that bitcoin is not free. You need money to purchase bitcoins so the people you think that are supposedly making thousands of dollars from bitcoin investment either bought bitcoin early or invested a reasonable amount of money to be able to see significant gains.

Your message sounds quite reminiscent of 2017, which is when I discovered bitcoin and registered on the forum. Nowadays there are a lot of people who know what bitcoin is, and even among the masses it is no longer unknown and linked only to scams or crimes, as you can see sections about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in reputable financial news.

Even though the gospel and things like Christianity, which are older than bitcoin itself, are not known in every corner of the world, I am not surprised that there are folks who have never heard of bitcoins, and even in the next five years, these people will still exist. It is even possible that the number of people who have not heard about bitcoin currently surpasses the number who know about it.

The good thing about bitcoins is that both true and false information promotes its popularity. So, those who even get to know about bitcoins from the false information about it will later get to know the truth.

Majority of the world is still unaware about bitcoin. But that is not bad thing about the market. Since, there are so many people who are not exposed to bitcoin, there can be new coming investors in future which will push the demand for bitcoins more in future. This can be a good indication for investors looking to stick with their bitcoin investment for long time.

Dude I know about BTC and I am not making thousands of dollars first tell me how can I make haha 😂😂😁. You just mentioned these few countries while in almost every single country there are 10% people (my self-assessment) who are unfamiliar with BTC. For instance, my mother is not aware, my 80% of the family members are not aware of the BTC, and I have a big family of around 60 people. And If I speak of my whole village almost the same amount (80%) is not aware of the BTC, if they are, then they don't know what it is, or what potential it has. The funny thing is, people are not aware of BTC but they are aware of the pi token haha. Just a hype shit.

Many people especially (millennials) are the ones who don't want to adopt the new technologies, even if they heard about it, they just want to make an excuse so they could avoid it, as they don't have to adopt new technologies now, as they are in there end times, and they must have already prepared there retirement as well.

So far so good, Bitcoin is the world's  largest and most popular cryptocurrency,an estimated 1billion people around the world uses cryptocurrency/Bitcoin precisely. The truth is that no one knows the amount of Bitcoin users in the world in particular.Almost all the time,it is very hard and impossible to give accurate record of the worldwide Bitcoin users.

However, bitcoins popularity compared to other online investments has multiplied,Bitcoin community is increasing daily alongside with mass adoption.
Majorly,I can still believe that so many other people are not aware of Bitcoin or using Bitcoin because they are not still exposed to reality.

All of this information that you provide is accurate, but there are still some factors to consider when we want many people to know about bitcoin. because it is not that some don’t know bitcoin, but they only know the name, but they do not know why it is important or how it works in our daily activities, and some are discouraged by their environment, society, or even religious beliefs.

There is a person that I have ever met who was complaining to me about the inflation that is affecting the world in general, and he is always out of money for his personal needs due to the inflation, so he was asking me if there was any way that I could help him find another source of income. I said yes, so I was trying to explain about bitcoin to him. He allowed me to reach a full stop first and then asked me, What is the main reason why the coin will be raising and dumping? I explained to him, and then he asked again, Who is the person who invented it? And where can he find the physical currency? When I told him that no one knew the real inventor of bitcoin, he laughed and said that he couldn’t join because he didn’t know the inventor and his religion was again it, so I just allowed him to be because he would never be convinced to join due to his religion. If not, he agreed with everything, but he kept looking for excuses that would stop him from joining.

So some people are discouraged about bitcoin due to their religious beliefs and many other factors, and bitcoin is not something that you will convince a person to join or even force a person to join.

America is one of the most developed countries in the world, so there is no surprise that the majority of people from there know about Bitcoin, but smaller countries that fall under the category or either developing or third-world, a vast majority of people from such countries aren't yet aware of Bitcoin's existence and they don't know what a cryptocurrency is, either due to illiteracy or because of a lack of awareness within these countries because the government is not ready to accept cryptocurrencies and let them prevail.

It's based on my personal experience because I have asked a lot of people if they know what Bitcoin is and they said no, they have never heard of it. So I'm pretty sure that the same is the situation in other smaller countries as well because there isn't enough awareness among people about these things.

Once upon a time, those guys must have heard of BTC in the news being mentioned and someone in that news says, BTC is a scam and then it just sticks in their mind. The media has been this way since BTC started and whichever people hear the first always sticks in their mind. It takes more than just convincing to change the mind of someone about BTC until it could help them financially.

They are more convinced that BTC is a scam every time there is news about exchanges such as FTX. Without even learning the details of how the exchange end up being a scam as long as it is related to BTC, they'll just think it happened before.

It could change drastically with the help of institutions such as Blackrock but they will not endorse it even if they are buying thousands of it.

In a globalized world, where access to information is an inalienable right, it is up to governments to allow it, then in those where the provision of information depends on individuals, such as the countries you name, it is up to them to inform themselves and take actions, their own decisions, there is all the corresponding information. Calling Bitcoin a scam in the todays market  will not going to work, maybe it's worked on in 2014 or 2015 because Bitcoin and cryptocurrency wasn't renowned at that time I am also thought at that time Bitcoin is only for hacker and my name is a bad think, because at that time if anyone do mining with GPU then his warranty will be invalid that's why I thought that Bitcoin was not a good thing and I just about it's mining.
Now if we come back to Karan scenario those people who think Bitcoin is a scam those don't have any knowledge about internet or they didn't connect with internet because is they connect with internet then just a few search he will know bitcoin market and who is holding this. I will tell you to give the true identity of Bitcoin to those around you who carry such negative ideas about Bitcoin.

Definitely!
Old people do not understand what the internet is, and they are not fond of social media, Android phones, etc. nor do they just spend their life talking to each other. Bitcoin cryptocurrency is a distant thing for old people to understand that the internet is a puzzle. And i think it's not necessary for people to understand it, although it is a necessary thing to develop. But there is no obligation on these people, yes, if there is a new generation buddy, then this is a necessary aspect for him. If he does not know Bitcion, then maybe he is missing out on a very rare and unique technology.

So I think that people who don't know about Bitcoin even in 2024 are probably uneducated or they don't like to adopt it.

The world is wide and even out there there may be an area where it is still not touched by the Internet so it isnt surprising that until now there are still many people who do not know because in addition to the internet that is still not evenly distributed in some areas of the world sometimes there is a restriction in the news about bitcoin or the like by some people who have an interest so that even though there is already an Internet, the news may focus on the negative so that ordinary people do not want to be in it, therefore the issue of bitcoin which is always an environmental problem or always associated with criminality continues to be a never-ending discussion even though there are so many rebuttals that should be able to reduce the negative Therefore the issue of bitcoin which is always an environmental problem or always associated with criminality continues to be a discussion that never ends even though there are so many rebuttals that should be able to make the issue stop .
But indeed as long as developments continue to advance i still feel confident that bitcoin will continue to be one of the assets that will continue to be recognized and its development will get bigger in the end .

Do you really expect everyone to know what’s bitcoin, like when talking of the world, the world is far beyond the countries you mentioned and from my view countries like Canada, USA, China are more better when it comes to  modern technology. You don’t expect much from any country like op mentioned the world that consist of billions of people, even within such large number range not all can afford a better life talk less of bitcoin awareness. Aside poverty, most people don’t associate with the internet for research and work etc, they just live a simple life nothing else. Some category of people think everything concerning the internet associated with money can serve as a scam scheme, everyone with their different opinion and decision why they don’t want bitcoin. And in my opinion, the average person doesn't know much about Bitcoin, especially those in rural areas, apart from unsupported internet access, information is also a problem for them which means they don't know much about it. Maybe they've heard of it but it's too obscure for them so they don't really care because they don't understand what Bitcoin is and that's what makes them don't want to understand it and are even ignorant.
However, it cannot be denied that although there are still many shortcomings in internet access and information, the use of Bitcoin continues to grow and to reach deeper locations still takes a very long time. And what must be done is an initiative for Bitcoin users who have been around for a long time and have good knowledge about Bitcoin to provide information and also provide adequate internet access. Because the government or local authorities will not do this, and another reason is because Bitcoin is still illegal.

Yes not all people in all countries of the world know about Bitcoin. In the country where I live, 1-2% of people know about Bitcoin depending on my area. Many compare my investment in Bitcoin to gambling. I believe that at some point almost everyone in our country will know about Bitcoin. Everyone will believe Bitcoin is trustworthy and investing in Bitcoin will be profitable, but it is a matter of time. I think at some point in the future everyone in the whole world will know about Bitcoin.

Yes, one of them is indeed the ability to literacy and understanding how crypto actually works.
Sometimes some skeptics are reluctant to know more about crypto, and they only judge based on other people's assessments or surrounding judgments that crypto is dangerous, the market is volatile, detrimental and many other negative things.

It just needs proof and a good understanding that will make crypto quite positive.
Proof that crypto provides tremendous profits and when the halving is done just need to wait for the new ATH to be reached,
and it will attract many people to start entering and believe that crypto or bitcoin will be a profitable asset in the future.

Have you found any particular resources or strategies helpful in educating skeptics about the potential benefits of crypto?

Show them the historical chart of Bitcoin as an initial inspiration and make them understand the potential of cryptocurrencies and what they can do. I don't think they would be interested after knowing that on top of other benefits and properties, they can also earn money if they get involved with cryptocurrencies.

Remember, always let them know the risks involved when they make investments in cryptocurrencies because those who ignore this fact or are misguided tend to lose money and then start showing hatred towards cryptocurrencies which isn't what we would want them to do.

There are many people in this world who do not know about Bitcoin or the cryptocurrency market. Although this field has been established and developed for nearly 20 years, it has only recently been recognized. There are still not many countries that accept Biitcoin, so it is understandable that not many people know about it. Most countries do not want their people to know about Bitcoin. To be honest, the birth and development of Bitcoin directly threatens the position of fiat currencies as well as the banking system. Therefore, most countries are very cautious about Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market.

For a long time, people have always known Bitcoin in utility media as an asset used for fraud. They try to give bad information about Bitcoin and intentionally ignored positive aspects and developments of this market. So, it gradually creates stereotypes for people who do not understand Bitcoin, leading them to lose interest and give up learning about this market.

No, and I can give list of people that probably don't know that a thing called Bitcoin exists.
1. Some old people that doesn't even know how to use smartphones. Even those old people that have smartphones might not even know it at all.
2. People on the remote areas that doesn't even have any access on smartphones or any kind of gadgets that we currently are using right now.
3. This is a no-brainer, but kids for sure don't know about Bitcoin. :D

I believe that there are some more that don't know about Bitcoin, and only a few percentage of the total global populations knows about it. For us, we feel that it's becoming more and more popular since we're using it. While it's true that it's becoming more and more popular over the years, there are still many people out there that don't know about Bitcoin. Those who have access to the internet probably knows it.

I read from several sources, The world population is around 8.1 billion and there are about 420 million people in the world using crypto. This means that about 5% of the world's population knows and probably more than that knows but does not use. The data I got was an estimate of crypto users and maybe it would be more if the restrictions were only limited to knowing crypto.

They are cautious about bitcoin because it is so new, its volatility is also something they worry about...many other reasons but I don't think the government is afraid that bitcoin will affect the value of fiat or banks. I also had this thought before but then I don't think the government is afraid of bitcoin, because if it really threatens the value of fiat money or banks, they will join forces to destroy it or impose restrictions harsh ban on it. And look, most countries today have gradually adopted bitcoin to a certain extent.

In my opinion, the development of bitcoin is very fast and amazing, it is not as slow as many people think. We cannot expect that with just 20 years of bitcoin's existence, everyone should know about it, a revolutionary change may even take hundreds of years before being fully accepted.  If you compare the ages of bitcoin and humans it is a significant amount of time, but compared to other assets like gold and real estate, bitcoin is still just a baby.  You can't expect a newborn to run, jump, or have adult relationships.

if they can access the internet, then I think they've at least heard of bitcoin. Whether they think bitcoin is a scam or not, they should know that there is an alternative payment on the internet called bitcoin. However, many people still don't know what bitcoin actually is, but they have heard about it. I've seen videos of young people being offered 1 bitcoin and $100, and they chose $100 because they lacked information about bitcoin. However, at least they have heard of it. The conclusion is, the whole world may have heard the word bitcoin, but there are still many who don't know what, how, and the value of bitcoin itself, which is why education is really needed.

The biggest thing since sliced bread is bitcoin. Everyone knows. The major networks and Wall Street's smartest experts cover it. Saying Bitcoin is unknown?  False news! Daily headlines discuss how its changing our money mindset. And its not just talk. From the SEC in America to China and Australia, governments are adjusting to this new reality. This is about our economy's future, not just buying and selling. You're responsible for not knowing about Bitcoin. This is a revolution in progress. Wealth, security, and independence. Avoid being left behind.

There are some parts of the world where there's no technology like the ones who are living in forest or mountains. Honestly, even the place where I live have some people who doesn't know about cryptocurrency and even if they did heard about bitcoin yet they still not sure what it is. Another thing is that there are some people who understand or know about bitcoin but didn't believe in it which means they didn't want to take risk in bitcoin. I would say that the world doesn't know about bitcoin completely as I have explained about places and people who know or didn't know about bitcoin.
Yes, I would agree to that because even in a place where I live, only few here are aware that bitcoin exists. They don’t know that digital money exists. Although some have heard about it, but were not interested to learn about more since the government is obviously against with it and would always warn the people wherein bitcoin is involved in scams.

Thus, it’s not surprising that there are still lots of people in the world who does not know about bitcoin. Aside from they are deprived on the access for latest technology, their government as well is not open about it. So all they know is only fiat and banks where fiat is saved.

Bitcoin is been generally searched in google almost everyday, and people are adopting Bitcoin everyday; if you tell us that the numbers of people that adopt Bitcoin in the places you have mentioned are minimal, I will agree with you but if you say that majority of people living in these places you mentioned don’t know about Bitcoin I will put it to you that it’s a lie and you need more research to prove me wrong.

A month ago, a news channel made news about Bitcoin in my country. I still see a lot of people who think Bitcoin is a scam. I feel bad for them; they still don't understand Bitcoin's growth from zero to here. Those who are calling Bitcoin scam; they know Bitcoin, but they don't know how it actually works. And I saw a lot comment there they don't know what is Bitcoin, they heard first time about Bitcoin. I don't know any exact data, but in my opinion, less than 5% of people know about Bitcoin. That means a major part of the population is unaware of Bitcoin.
Those who have no idea about Bitcoin and who have been misinformed from the beginning will basically do the same thing about Bitcoin. If I always discuss with you the negative aspects of a subject, only the negative aspects of that subject will come to you, and whenever you hear the name of that subject, you will find its negative aspects. A country's journalists and other media spread negative propaganda about Bitcoin, which creates a negative perception of Bitcoin among people who did not know about Bitcoin in the past when they learn about Bitcoin anew. But beyond all these, if a user tries to learn about Bitcoin on his own, then he will definitely know something good about Bitcoin.

not everyone in the world will get a fair knowledge of the wealth distribution that is currently happening. they will miss it out because of the media and the people behind it they are keeping it out for the public to know. i think it should be our duty already to spread the word out.

Just like some part of the world knows nothing about the
existence of Internet same thing applies to Bitcoin, there some places in the world today that knows nothing about Bitcoin, and some people actually think Bitcoin is a form of scamming activity where they are being scammed through the Internet, that is most people have little or no knowledge about Bitcoin. A lot of people have fallen victim of being scammed through someone desperate individual who has used Bitcoin to make fake promises to the victims telling them on how to get rich really fast by depositing certain amount of money thereafter the victims deposit the money they  will run away with the money.

When you say someone did not know anything about something, it simply means they haven't heard anything related to what you are talking about before in their lives, but if they have heard about it before, even if it's negative, they definitely lack knowledge and won't be blamed for such an act. So the best thing for people like this is to let them be aware of the positive sides of bitcoin since they believe it is a scam. Perhaps it is due to past experience that you let them learn how they can make money from bitcoin.

Quote

Of course, they will do it because they already know everything about it and believe and are also willing to take the risk. However, the world is now doing things digitally, which makes things easier for us.

If people in a country buy bitcoin instead of keeping money in the bank or invest in bitcoin, then the economic situation of the country's government can be seen as a disaster. Not only does Bitcoin spread bad news but various banks always warn customers about Bitcoin so that customers don't invest in Bitcoin at all. But I have seen many investors from those countries too who are investing in Bitcoin without giving importance to such false propaganda of their country. I think every country probably has investors who are investing in Bitcoin against the propaganda of their country's news media or banks.

There is no future that all citizens in a nation will store their money in Bitcoin but not in fiat currency, gold and other assets. There will be no similarity like this at national scale and there will be always two opposite people: Bitcoin investors, non-Bitcoin investors.

Like you can not have all citizens in one country only invest money in gold or stocks. Never seen like this in history and I believe we will not see it in future too.

Will it become terrible for government and the national economy because most of people store money in Bitcoin?

It is a big question but I don't think it will be big problem for government and national economy.

Does the world know about Bitcoin?
In 2009-2016 perhaps not many people knew about Bitcoin, perhaps those who believed and understood how Bitcoin worked knew, but entering 2017 until now Bitcoin is already known by many people, starting from lay people to intellectuals and starting from the bottom up to those in high positions.

Now the world understands and knows Bitcoin, only those who are cowards say they don't know and are cheaters, in fact they know Bitcoin, it's just that they are stingy and lazy to learn it, they still think that no one can make money without hard/primitive work, they are minimal in digital ways of working, such people don't keep money in banks, they like and believe in keeping it in bunkers and under pillows.

In this world there are still many people who don't believe in banks, what's more, digital currency is more anti to them, actually they know about it, only their minds don't think about the current situation.

When we say World, I think it does not only mean each Country but even most countries who are into BTC can still be valid, so the answer to your question is yes, the world knows it. Maybe if you try to be more specific and instead say 'The Whole World', I think I will also change my response to no from yes. If someone can say that BTC is a scam, then they already heard of it.

Not all those who embrace bitcoins are profiting but many people are also losing here. Only those people who do not know that the world is now digital, are the people who are away from civilization, people with extreme disabilities, and people who are not well-educated as the requirements of latest financial and digital world (bitcoin originates from the point of those two world merging up).

The world is too big. The Christians believe that why the world has not come to pass and judgement passed is because all nooks and crannies of the world have not heard about the gospel of Christ. If Christ who existed thousands of years ago is still not known on some part of the world till today, how about bitcoin which barely a decade old.

they always think that Bitcoin is a scam, .
There's a difference between not knowing at all (not heard about bitcoin) and knowing wrongly (thinking bitcoin is a scam). Which are we discussing?

Hmm, Op you are talking about the street-level recognition of Bitcoin, we are far away from such recognition of Bitcoin-only the younger generation and mostly from the freelancers who recognize Bitcoin and its potential. If you consider even my country here the areas which are developed cant even provide the proper fast internet service except for the big cities and even in those cities the recognized areas are covered.

So what are you expecting in such facilities that people should be discussing the Bitcoin nd its future potential in near future or working day night to feed their families, I do even know those areas where electricity was not available a few years back.

Forgive me for asking but,
What do you hope to archive with this topic?

I feel it’s a thing of concern as every thread tends to have that one thing it hopes to archive and for this one,
Well, you could say you just want to know if there are parts of the world that don’t know about Bitcoin and of course the answer is always going to be yes. Your first line in the topic agrees even so, why the thread, what’s the purpose?

Even in the future when Bitcoin becomes very popular, if it does or attain a mainstream such that, it’s more conveniently used, there would always be those that would be alienated to it and it’s okay. End of discussion!

People's understanding of Bitcoin appears to differ across the globe, potentially with certain areas having less familiarity. However, with the internet becoming more accessible worldwide, individuals are gaining greater exposure to information about Bitcoin. Sharing perspectives and insights on this digital asset remains essential to enable informed decision-making on a global scale.

with the way of advancement on the use of bitcoin and its adoption globally, there is no country that have not heard about bitcoin even though they are not accepting it as a legal tender, they knew about its existence and their people are using it for their own purpose because everyone want to achieve a certain level of financial freedom and have this liberty to operate in their financial economy, its only that the governments in some countries are not allowing for that to happen.

And for sure those who doesn't know it, would think that it is a scam or fake, I know some people who didn't even believe it back in 2015 when I introduced it to them because they think that it was just a joke since it is a coin that have such value and worst part is it is only in the internet, so I wouldn't be surprised if there are still some people who doesn't fully understand crypto or Bitcoin and thinks that it is a scam.

AFAIK, bitcoin wasn't designed for every human on planet earth, and if the population that have knowledge about it and are making a positive change in their life with the use of it then I should care much about the population using it than been worried about those that ain't even after hearing about it.

In my opinion, the younger generation should be the one who is most knowledgeable about bitcoin. Old people (bless them) do not really need to be using all this as it’s not exactly necessary to live at least for now. They can survive without using bitcoin however the new generation would definitely be welcomed in to a world where digital currencies are the new normal hence why they have the most to learn about bitcoin.
actually it is quite difficult for parents to teach about bitcoin, especially if they feel they no longer have the desire to pursue money, I would rather use all my energy to teach bitcoin to young people, I read that the purpose of the bitcoin ETF was created to attract Old investors who don't want the hassle of wallets or traditional ways of buying Bitcoin, they want to get Bitcoin even if it's just a piece of paper

Without me using any stats, i think there are a decent number of people who are aware of the word Bitcoin. Though, I believe that not everyone who is aware understands what it truly means. Some people know Bitcoin as money, while others know Bitcoin as a technology, and also, others know Bitcoin as both technology and money. It is clearly unrealistic to assume that the entire 8.5 billion people in the world have heard about Bitcoin. This is not their fault, as there are certain factors that have not given them the awareness such as digital illiteracy, lack of information, access to education and others. But should we blame them?, I don't think so.

These people who are clearly off the track of Bitcoin and its technology are still living their very best lives, though they lack the recent updates. They still make their money and spend it, which does not make them less important either. The world they say has become digital, but that does not mean that everyone is into digital. I think some people will hear about Bitcoin and still choose not to be part of it, while others won't even hear about it at all. Just because you live in a digital space/environment, never doubt the high level of digital illiteracy and underdevelopment in certain regions.

Partly true because some parents doesn't want to learn more when it comes to investing their own money especially at this digital age because they only know the traditional investment that usually they have. I agree that it's better for some younger generation to learn more about on it because this is the evolution of future and it's better for them to know how to be financially stable in life even at their young age so they can experience early retirement age unlike what happened to some adults now.

This is true and the solid example is reflecting with my own parents too on which they are really that close minded in regarding on the idea or about the existence of cryptocurrency specially into the investment
part or making money because they are really that only sticking with those traditional ones and wont really be tending to welcome any new ideas or ways or methods that someone might be giving out some advise
or recommendation to them. They might be able to see some results or real money or earning but that wont be enough on convincing them to go with the same path, not unless if they would really be willing
on doing so.

We cant really be able to convince them because there are really indeed inviduals who would really be that closing their minds because of tons of scam investments that we do have in today on which
it is really that true but not something that not all would really be considered or be generalized. This is something that will really be not be removed into them but doesnt
mean that they wont really be able to get convinced later on.

For most parents, of course, it will be very difficult to accept current technological developments such as investing in crypto because they are very used to investments that they have learned a long time ago and for some of the younger generation, of course this is very useful for their future and that The most important thing is for them to continue studying before deciding to invest so as not to make the wrong decision on the investment, but what we need to remember is that all of these things require a long process and we have to be patient to be able to achieve the investment target we are making.

Some people haven't heard about Bitcoin, some of the people that have heard about it doesn't know what it is, while some knows what it is but either they don't have interest in digital currency or they just don't care. Before I came to understand how Bitcoin works, I used to think that it's one of those Ponzi schemes, where people will be investing their money and they'll be getting returns on their investments, that one day when the developers have amersed enough wealth, they'll just shut down, I know that some people that have heard about Bitcoin, still holds this untrue notion. I believe that Bitcoin adoption is increasing gradually, and one-day, everybody in every corner of the world will own a crypto wallet, just like bank accounts.

One that is very certain about technological advancement is that not every one moves or advance at the same time. A lot of people are not acquainted with the technologies that are been created in this modern age. So for hearing or knowing about bitcoin it might seem weird to for people in remote environments to know about bitcoin.

I don't really know how many people in the world population that knows about bitcoin but I believe it's very much lower compared to the total number of people in the world. Bitcoin has made its way to the top and most powerful digital currency and infact it's the first of its kind so it's growing or spreading gradually to the world at large. Some time ago a lot of people in my local community never knew about bitcoin but today I think the popularity of bitcoin in my community has amazed me without it being advertised it still made it way deep in to a rural community so i believe bitcoin is growing gradually.

You don’t expect everyone to know about bitcoin all at once, it’s going to be spreading gradually. When bitcoin was created, only a few people knew about it, and most of the people who know about it don’t really have confidence in it. But gradually, bitcoin keeps on spreading. I know there are still lots of people who don’t know about bitcoin or haven’t heard anything about it before, but I am sure with time, bitcoin awareness is going to get to them. Let’s give bitcoin a time  5 years to come, bitcoin adoption and awareness will have increased.

even in Nigeria there are people that don't know anything about Bitcoin, they always think that Bitcoin is a scam,
No matter what you tell some people about bitcoin, they will still think it is a scam. So if I can introduce bitcoin to anyone and the person thinks it is a scam, I don’t disturb myself, I will just leave the person, because if I can force them to invest in bitcoin and anything happens to the person’s investment, they will think I am the one who scammed them.

I think you are wrong, for example, I personally live quite far from urban areas, I live on the outermost island of my country but I can know about this asset. In every country, city governments and regional governments certainly provide communication access to their communities, such as internet access. This internet access also speeds up local government communication in providing any information to the city. This depends on each individual, at first I didn't really believe in this asset, because there was a lot of fraudulent news regarding this asset. I am increasingly curious, there are those who say this asset has a pretty good future, I studied it. From the information I got from various sources, finally I found this forum and I searched for many things and knowledge here, finally I understood that it is true that this asset deserves to be obtained as much as possible and sold whenever we want.

Yep since there are no gains attached to it, we don't need to tell people about Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies, let them come to know about it themselves or from somewhere else. It is not like we are going to get some referral commission or something if they make an investment in Bitcoin, if they think it is a scam, let them be with their thoughts that they will regret in the future like the ones who called Bitcoin a scam and a bubble back in the day who are in deep regret these days.

Never force anyone to like Bitcoin or make investments in it, even if it's a family member, because as you said, in case their investment goes wrong, they buy at the wrong time and see their investment losing value, they are going to blame you for it because you forced them to do it. Don't even recommend it to anyone, let people decide for themselves what they want to do with their money.

That's basically how the whole system is designed, you don't expect everyone in the whole to know about Bitcoin, I mean not everyone is open minded or even literate enough to understand that there is actually something called Bitcoin and people use it to transact and also as investment that could possibly earn them tangible returns in the future. Okay I could go religious and even state a claim about the christian faith that is actually being preached and spread to every corner of earth but yet some places still don't know about JESUS and even Christianity as a whole.

One reason why people think that bitcoin and cryptocurrency are scams is that it is not backed by the government in many countries and still, there are countries in the world that will not encourage the use of bitcoin for investments or transactions. Those people take special note of the negative propaganda being done by the government against bitcoin and many new persons who does not have much information , thinks what government is saying is right and they keep themselves away from it.

There are another group of people who may be  scammed by some shit coin or they invest in bitcoin at a time when the price is on the high and once they buy the bitcoin starts dumping and they consider it a Ponzi scheme.

With bitcoin being more than a decade old, I think many people are already familiar with bitcoin in both developed and developing countries. It's just that there are still many people who are skeptical of Bitcoin because many still view Bitcoin as an investment that has no future and is even a fraud. However, as time goes by, we have to admit that the development of the bitcoin community is increasing day by day, this may be because in the current era information is very easy to obtain. We just need time so that everyone can see Bitcoin as an investment for the future, like investing in gold, which currently everyone knows that gold is the best investment.

In essence, many people only know about bitcoin because its price has soared fantastically and allowed people to achieve financial freedom. But few know the advantages of blockchain, with the technology making bitcoin more secure and transparent than other assets.

In Nigeria, yes I will believe you that there some parts of the country that didn’t know anything about bitcoin nor cryptocurrency which are mostly the rural areas where they don’t have access to network and probably no any civilization in the village.

USA, UK, Australia, China, and Canada you mentioned are hard to believe especially because of their advancement in any technology. They definitely know Bitcoin more than some of us but their governments are just too strict and are putting regulations on crypto transactions because of task and others. They should know Bitcoin wella because of its decentralized nature in order to avoid task and other charges from the banking sector.

People knowing Bitcoin are making thousands of Dollars? Could you explain how they are doing that? Because if you've just invested money into it and you've hold your assets till a higher price before selling them, you had to invest a quite large amount of money to earn thousands of USD as you say. In addition most crypto investors are not doing that because they are "hodling" their bag actually that is to say their profits are only virtual and they won't make money at the end if the price decreases and goes back to the level where they've bought their assets. Furthermore, you should speak in the past tense, because nobody can say if its price will continue to grow in the same way as it did untill now, it's a highly volatile asset so pumps don't mean its intrinsic value increases.

Knowing nothing about Bitcoin and knowing something about Bitcoin can lead to a same decision, don't invest money in Bitcoin.

Knowing something about Bitcoin from media, educational resources can be good starts for a debut of investment in Bitcoin but it does not guarantee that these people will surely do investment.

Have knowledge about Bitocoin and have investment don't mean they will be rich with Bitcoin. Only people with good investment strategy and good capital management, will get profit with Bitcoin.

There is a little difference not know about Bitcoin at all and to only have a little knowledge about Bitcoin. Those that thinks that Bitcoin is a scam are people who have already knew about Bitcoin but they only have a slight knowledge about it and the slight knowledge they have is a misunderstanding of what Bitcoin really stands for.

Every country in the world know about Bitcoin, they do but not everyone in that country may know but most of them knows. Give it 100 years from today and more people will know about Bitcoin.

There are still many people who don't know about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency because not all places have internet or have a data connection, such as people in tribal groups or those who live in remote provinces where it can be said that it is very difficult to earn money.

It's also often because the internet is in areas that are covered by the internet or there is a gap in it, because if there is no internet, they will not really know about Bitcoin, and the others are also not aware of social media platforms.

Do you know why the price of Bitcoin has been increasing? The price of Bitcoin has been increasing because more people are currently investing in it. The higher it's popularity, the higher it's price. It doesn't really matter, and it's not our business if the entire world doesn't know about Bitcoin, or knows but believes it's a scam, deal with, some places in the world aren't even developed to have phones. So, instead of focusing on unimportant stuff, why don't we focus on who knows and believes in it and focus on increasing our crypto assets, yeah ?.... Yeah.

I think the old people don't believe in Bitcoin easily because the thing which is not visible with the naked eye is not trusted for them. Bitcoin is one of the best investment tools and there are no boundaries for anyone but still people are afraid to invest in it.

But beyond all these, if a user tries to learn about Bitcoin on his own, then he will definitely know something good about Bitcoin.

the media i think intentionally made BTC look like a scam to the public. because if there is good news for BTC like the approval of ETFs, the news never made it to the mainstream for all to hear. but if the news is about BTC being used to scam or the kidnapper asked for the ransom in BTC, the news will just spread like it is happening worldwide that even my pop who is just as bedridden as he is will start asking whether i'm involved to this kind of activity.  ;D

not everyone in the world will get a fair knowledge of the wealth distribution that is currently happening. they will miss it out because of the media and the people behind it they are keeping it out for the public to know. i think it should be our duty already to spread the word out.

I think every country probably has investors who are investing in Bitcoin against the propaganda of their country's news media or banks.

when the media already portrays a negative image of the product, people have it in mind that what the media is saying is true. har to actually change the mind of someone since for a long time they rely on their information from the media, they are to even think on their own.

so many people around the world will not be able to own even just a fraction of 0.001BTC while the world will be going into a transition from fiat to BTC adoption.

Every country in the world knows more or less about Bitcoin. But show me a country where all the people of that country know about Bitcoin, I don't think there is any such country. The name Bitcoin is probably known by the governments of all countries, more or less by the people of all countries. Currently people between 10 years to 45 years are familiar with modern technology, most of them are using Bitcoin and know about Bitcoin. I live in an underdeveloped South Asian country where most of the people don't know about Bitcoin, even a third of the people in the country have never even heard of Bitcoin. The digital world is advancing, people are now showing interest in digital coins. Soon Bitcoin will become widespread.

That is, there are people in the world who do not even know about the Internet. They have not even heard the name of the internet, let alone how the internet works or why to use it. Actually, they don't need it so they don't know. Do not talk about them here.

I think every country in the world is now aware of Bitcoin. Because you know most of the countries still have restrictions on Bitcoin usage either directly or indirectly. If they didn't know about Bitcoin, they wouldn't have banned it. But I strongly believe that a time will soon come when paper money will disappear and people will start using e-currency. And globally Bitcoin will lead all e-currencies. You may argue that this is never possible, paper money is needed. But time will tell everything. There was also a debate about whether man went to the moon. :)

Op I can only take Nigeria from the countries you listed there and I can't speak for other countries. And I agreed with you for you have said that many people are still doubting on bitcoin to be a digital currency but they still think from the opposite. Some people that know bitcoin as a digital currency but don't know how it works so they are also classified as those who are still blind in the world of the cryptocurrency.

In Nigeria many villages don't even know bitcoin and when you call the name they would like what is that. There was a time last year, I wrote an advertisement for something and I wrote  bitcoin to and someone asked me what was that thing that I wrote. And I told the people it is a digital currency which I am also accepting for the service I render. The only places that people understand bitcoin very well so the cities and not the interior villages.

Most especially that our government itself does not promote bitcoin, then more chances are those people who have no access on the internet are probably unaware that there is bitcoin that exists. Or most likely, they have heard about the term bitcoin but are not interested enough to understand it more since they all think that bitcoin does not bring any essence to the life of an individual, not realizing that bitcoin could be our future when fiat itself will end up depreciating and will lose its value in the long run.

Even if maybe you take an example of your country that you already know how it reacts to bitcoin but actually this has become a parameter I think because when we live in an area in a country and where there are still many who do not know about bitcoin then surely in other countries it will not be much different.
Although in this case there is no related data that can make it scientific but with the vastness of a country and the large population on this earth, it is very natural that the presence of bitcoin is now still in doubt because of some news that indicates that bitcoin is a negative thing or those who still do not know what bitcoin is even hearing it is still a taboo.

That is very reasonable because even though we already know what bitcoin is but in the end there are still many who don't know about it even the comparison that knows may not be 1/4 of the population who don't know at this time and don't understand how bitcoin works.

Here in our country, our government itself does not promote bitcoin or cryptocurrency, but we have local exchanges here that promote bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and there are various groups
of organizations that also distribute Bitcoin or crypto through caravan events about this matter.

As long as our government is not promoting it, it shows that they are open to blockchain technology and innovation when it comes to digital currency, as long as our local exchangers are regulated.

Of course there are many people who don’t know about Bitcoin. We have at least 8 billion people on earth and it’s almost impossible for all of them to know. However, I think that Bitcoin has grown really well because the average person even in developing countries may have at least heard the name. The only challenge I see is that they may have a misconception about it.
Well, lucky are those who have known early about bitcoin because they can seize every opportunity that comes with bitcoin. But for those who are not yet aware about bitcoin, I believe internet access is probably their number 1 problem. Because if they do so, they would always hear about bitcoin every now and then.

Also, there are instances that majority have already heard about bitcoin, but the problem is they have negative interpretations about it most especially that the government has always been cruel to bitcoin. Not because it could be a competition for fiat in the future, but because they can’t control bitcoin due to its decentralized nature unlike what they can do to fiat.

However, I think that Bitcoin has grown really well because the average person even in developing countries may have at least heard the name. The only challenge I see is that they may have a misconception about it.

People have heard of bitcoin, but they don't want to know what it is because they don't know anything about it, and they aren't ready to learn about it because they are already involved in other businesses that bring money to the table. So they will not be interested in learning about bitcoin. If you go to some country and ask someone about bitcoin, he will answer no, since he don't know anything about it, he is only hearing about it and does not want to know what it is. Now that bitcoin's value is increasing every time new users will be interested to buy because friends will tell friends to buy, to generate profit and that is how he will spearing and all over the word because bitcoin will be strong coin that anyone will be interested to buy without complaining about it. People that no about bitcoin and they are deceiving them that is scam i don't think they will succeed through any online investment.

This is one of the problems, if we keep looking at Bitcoin as an investment we would keep chasing potential users and the growth of actual usage of Bitcoin will diminish with time. If we want to sell Bitcoin to anyone, we should sell it with the idea that it is a currency but one that works differently and uniquely. People who see the need for it would make use of it. It can be looked at as a scam if you talk about it as an investment.

I think this topic is same as asking whether everyone in the world uses social media or not. Before having social media account you must have access to internet. That's like in bitcoin, you need internet to access bitcoin mining or trading. Not everyone yet in the world has access (particularly good access) to internet so I believe that's the answer to this topic. Does the world know about Btcoin? The answer is not everyone in the world yet!

There are many reasons why most people in various countries don't know anything about Bitcoin, their limited knowledge of technology is the most influential reason for them. There are also those who have wrong assumptions about Bitcoin which makes them ignore the entire potential that exists in Bitcoin.
When you find someone who considers Bitcoin to be a fraud, easy to hack and Bitcoin as a place for money laundering, then you have to give them a positive opinion about all the advantages of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a very young technology, it still needs time to develop. I firmly believe that Bitcoin adoption will become more widespread and will happen when more people are able to give a positive view to the advantages that are hidden behind Bitcoin.

Countries are afraid of the power it offers individuals and are trying to stop it. However, they'll never stop it. As if to stop the sun from rising. Paper money is going disappearing. An old story. Smarter, faster, and safer e-currency is the future. Bitcoin is the finest. Its a game-changer, yet old-fashioned people say otherwise.

One thing most people dont grasp about Bitcoin. Technology and psychology are involved. Money, trust, and control must be rethought. Reclaiming our financial independence. A global consciousness shift is underway. Bitcoin is the trigger, making us reconsider everything. This is the future, happening now. Get on board or fall behind.

many countries right now knows about Bitcoin so any country that does not know about bitcoin know that the country is not civilized because bitcoin has been into existence over 20 years now if I am not mistaken so bitcoin has been all over internet and the many people knows about Bitcoin
More than 20 years ???
It becomes a big question mark when you say Bitcoin has been around for more than 20 years because if you subtract 2024 from 2009 the result is 15 years (and even then it's still not there because this year there are still some left over for the next few months). So you don't need to trick more people because you are enthusiastic enough to say it's been more than 20 years while almost everyone knows that Bitcoin hasn't been circulating on the internet for more than 20 years. Although I would also assume that if there is a country that doesn't know about Bitcoin, it is probably a country that is very underdeveloped at the moment.

I think only the old aged people aren’t aware of the Bitcoins. Anyone who follows news has definitely known about Bitcoins. They might not be using it, but yes an overall idea about Bitcoins will be definitely there inside their mind. They don’t invest in the coin due to its complexity. Moreover as these coins are not legal in many nations, hence people are afraid to invest. Other than this, I think almost all the people know about this great innovation and they are regularly investing in it.

Bite me!!! Just WHO THE HELL do you think set the stage for all of today's tech?  Ya know, things like semiconductors, IC's, the internet etc??? Folks like me. I'm 67 and have been in electronics etc. since the early 1970's.

Many folks of ALL AGES are ignorant of technology and frankly I've found that today's youth are scarily ignorant of it in that they blindly share far too much info about their digital lives without a care in the world about it.

I think that what can increase the adoption of Bitcoin, and make people in remote areas to know about it and use it is when it's used to pay for transactions on day to day basis, when you can walk into a small shop and make payments with Bitcoin. Just merely telling and educating people about the advantages of Bitcoin as a digital cash is not enough if they can't use it. First a user needs a smart phone and internet connection, then you need to lecture them about the Blockchain technology, that is a handful for many people in the rural areas that are not literate.

The best and most effective way to increase Bitcoin adoption is when governments adopts it, and people begins to see it as an alternative currency in their countries, we know that it's not possible for now. This is the reason why majority of people that hodl Bitcoin, is for investment purposes.

Well, any part of the world where there is an access to the Internet it's people should have at least heard of the word cryptocurrency if not Bitcoin. In these countries you have mentioned, they are actually very familiar with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency but most times due to give restrictions and other regulations they have little interest in Bitcoin. The world is growing and developing very fast so new technology are flooding the internet daily.
Digital currency are next generation form of currency, as most countries are now having there own stable coins pegged to their fiat currency. The reason why most countries still restrict or are against crypto is because of the fear they have about it. Yes crypto currency was created to easy life just as every technology was created for. But some others have seen it as a way to commit criminal acts. Giving them bad names.

Very-well said NotFuzzy! You can't give a general conclusion here because it depends on the person himself, how he is open to current advancements in technology or digital world. Every person has his own reservations towards new tech. It is up to him how he look at such progressive developments. Thus, we can't conclude about the response on each level of generation.

I believe, the world knows or have heard bitcoin. Now, the level of understanding is how they differ here and how it is being used by people. It depends on how they look at this market, as an asset or just a day-to-day currency or both. And so their disposition relies on how they perceive this market.

It's true that there are still many people around the world who are not familiar with Bitcoin and may have misconceptions about it being a scam. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have gained popularity in some regions, but there is still a lack of awareness in many parts of the world.

Conclusively, for me think I it's lack of awareness, just like I stated earlier
