Title: Can I participate in Bitcoin Pizza Day?
Post by: Wonder Work on May 21, 2024, 04:02:20 PM
I went to Metaboard and was reading many posts. After reading a few posts, I saw a post by the name of icopress about Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5496801.0). I saw that whoever gets the best pizza will be paid $1,000, second and third place will get $500, and 4th&5th place will get $250. I found the topic very beautiful and saw many people participate. I haven't, despite being curious about it since I'm new. Can I participate here? Will the icopress brothers allow me to participate? Please, someone tell me.

Here, I am more excited that someone named Lazlo bought only two pizzas with a $10,000 payment. This is a surprising phenomenon. The price of BTC is skyrocketing now, but when the pizza was purchased, it was very cheap.

I suppose you can participate (but only by posting photos in the thread dedicated to the contest). The community often encounters multi-accounts or similar phenomena, and since your account was created just a day ago, if you win any prize it will be sent to you after 3 months. I would like to make sure that you are really a newbie and not someone who registered an alternative account for the sake of contests.

Just a minor correction,  he actually bought two pizzas for 10,000BTC and not $10,000. By todays price, that is $709,000,000. This represents the first time Bitcoin was exchanged for a commodity, hence the reason it is celebrated by all lovers of Bitcoin.

I guess you already got the response about your eligibility from @Icopress, if it is fine by you, then you can give it a shot let's see what you've got.

Well, I haven't done my own research into this dude called Lazio, but what I know is that he bought 10 thousand BTC, which is worth $709 million dollars today (just as you have summed up altogether). So does this Lazio guy still have any BTC right now? Because if he doesn't, he won't be comfortable with his thinking all the time.

Well, for the OP, since icopress has said the OP can participate in the contest, then he should just bake his own pizza and post the link of his pizza, and since he can't post pictures for now because of his rank, he should only post the link so that someone can quote him for the whole picture to show.

For me its okay to. You can join Bitcoin Pizza Day regardless of the prize or any rules. I don't consider Bitcoin Pizza Day a contest or competition, but rather an opportunity for bonding. Instead of viewing it as contest or competition, I see it as chance for community building and enjoying the history of Bitcoin. It’s more about enjoying the community and the history of Bitcoin than winning any prizes.

I'm so glad you gave me the opportunity. Thank you for giving me the opportunity. I will participate in it, and if I try my best, then if it is good, you will reward me after three months.

In order to be a note for all participants who participate in the pizza contest that not because of the money to be obtained if you win, are willing to do cheating. No matter how small fraud will smell. Don't pawn reputation.

Opportunities are open to all participants who want to participate with the conditions that are already there. I have ordered some ingredients to be processed into pizza even though I am not a specialist. If there are no obstacles to me, maybe I will also participate in this year's Pizza Day Bitcoin contest. Not hoping to win, but as a form of celebration.

You must be a really good baker I see, this one you are so confident about already getting your prize as said by icopress after 3 months. Well Good luck mate but a little word of discouragement from 😁, the pizza gurus here will probably not let you just come and steal their glory and also this time pizza 🍕 contest feels a lot more active because as everyone just wants to get their baking game on. I just reserve a spot for myself also and getting to get my baking gears and ingredients tomorrow, let the baking Begin 😎

I just want to clear up the highlighted part just in case you misunderstood it, it's not that "if it is good" you'll get a reward, you'll have to be in the top 5 in order to receive a reward.

anyway, good luck to you! seeing this year's rewards I assume the competition will be fiercer than last year.

I will also participate in this year's Pizza Day Bitcoin contest. Not hoping to win, but as a form of celebration.
I'm afraid I have to disagree with you because if you participate in the competition, brother, you have to join with such humanity that you can win. I will participate, hoping for something good; the rest will be seen later. I'm not saying anything mean to you; don't get upset. I thought it was, so I said it.

You must be a really good baker I see, this one you are so confident about already getting your prize as said by icopress after 3 months.
I am not a skilled baker, but one must be self-confident to do anything. From that place of faith, I could do good, too. I also took a place today to buy everything and make it soon. Good luck to you, and start making pizza.

Yes, you and some newbies can perfectly improve your rank, as it was before. Even if you don't win the top prizes, I'm sure many will generously share the merits that some find difficult to obtain. I think this is one of the things that will attract a lot of people who have no baking experience.

The key now is to be creative. :D

honest and fair
many would do it for that kind of reward

in fact the competition is really fierce this year, it will be difficult for everyone to get into the top 5

I would have advised you to check the rules of the bitcoin pizza contest to know if newbies are allowed to participate, but since icopress has told you you can participate, then it is open for newbies to participate. I see this bitcoin pizza contest as a remembrance day for Laszlo Hanyecz, who bought two pizzas with 10,000 bitcoin, and it took him four days to finalize the idea. The bitcoin pizza contest also served as a reminder for us not to be in a hurry to sell our bitcoin. If 10,000 bitcoins worth $690,760,000, imagine holding your bitcoin for the long term and how much profit you will make if you decide to sell it.

It's for everyone to participate in the contest as long as you're willing to do so, the additional information needed of you to observe is in taking your time to read the rules and guidelines from the OP on how one can participate, you can't do such with an alt and you should post as required with images showing your skills in making a bitcoin pizza by your own, not an internet downloaded one, if your application is lucky to be among the winners, then you may have to wait till you attain the rank stipulated for the reward to be given.
