Is this forum overrun by bots or people for whom English isn't a first language? So many comments and even topics seem to be just specious regurgitation of the obvious but poorly worded. Lots of words saying nothing.

Or am I the only one who feels that way..?

I feel that this your observation is similar to this one by BlackHatCoiner in his thread Is this forum getting worse and worse? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5497296.0). I am fairly new here but have noticed the same thing.

I think that once a thread has gotten the need reply and the person who started the thread is okay with the replies, it should be locked. There is a thread on this but I can't find it. If it remains opened that is where this type of issue you notice comes up.

No, you're probably not the only one who feels that way, but for starters, you should move this question to the proper board. This has nothing to do with the Bitcoin discussion.

There're many a lot of people who don't use English as their official language and that's why the LB was created but to compose  it outside their LB might not be quite easy.
If you feel there are bots... identify them and back it up with evidence that he/she is a bot
