Of course, you are familiar with Bali, which is located in Indonesia and is a vacation spot for many foreign tourists.
Bali has many amazing sights and places and people who come to Bali are also not just on vacation.

For Bitcoiners around the world who come to Bali, now there is no need to worry about where you will gather with the Bitcoiner community.

Bali is one of the most philosophical places. Many people from different parts of the world come to spend their free time in Bali. I would like to travel to Bali sometime in the future if the opportunity arises. It is a good idea that a Bitcoin House Bali is one of the best opportunities to create interest in Bitcoin for those visiting Bali from different countries. I applaud the initiative of the Bitcoin House Bali project in Bitcoin Indonesia and the international team in generating interest in Bitcoin. I hope very soon this project will create a stir among everyone and I would to say will be successful Bitcoin, will be success Bitcoin House Bali.

Wow this is very interesting.

I have a feeling that more tourists are going to come to Indonesia particularly in Bali just for this bitcoin house. How does this work though? Is there like a membership or can you rent out the house? Is it like a clubhouse? What amenities and services are offered in the house if any? It would really be great to see fellow bitcoiners in one place.

Same here, mate. I also wish to visit Bali someday even more so now that I know there is a community where bitcoin enthusiasts such as myself can gather. Seeing that this probably went through the required documents and government approval then we can assume that Bitcoin is generally accepted by the government in Indonesia? We wouldn’t want the government to bust the house and try to come up with crimes no one committed.

For Bitcoiners around the world who come to Bali, now there is no need to worry about where you will gather with the Bitcoiner community.
But bitcoiners from all over the world who are in Bali should worry about the attitude of local authorities towards them (https://medium.com/predict/the-foreign-tourists-in-bali-warned-against-using-crypto-for-payments-a0fe33581cf5).

Gatherings in your community for tourists can have undesirable consequences.

Foreign tourists who behave inappropriately, engage in actions not allowed by their visa permit, use cryptocurrency as a means of payment, and violate other provisions will be strictly punished
(source (https://medium.com/predict/the-foreign-tourists-in-bali-warned-against-using-crypto-for-payments-a0fe33581cf5)).

The goal is to raise awareness about Bitcoin and create a welcoming place to learn, share ideas, cooperate on Bitcoin, and have fun with like-minded people.
An iron tin can container is not the best place to spend time in a hot and humid climate, I should say. :)

It looks cool for Bitcoin adoption but I am cautious to visit such locations and inform people that I am a Bitcoin investor. Risk is big and my caution will keep my staying outside of such places. I can be an outsider and feel happy with this adoption but I am not a kind of person who will join it.

Privacy is important and inform many people that you are a Bitcoin investor is so risky.

Physical Bitcoin attacks (https://github.com/jlopp/physical-bitcoin-attacks) with some old attack stories and some links are dead now.

Many months ago, I read some articles that locals don't feel comfortable with Bitcoin/ cryptocurrency foreign freelancers who visit or live in Bali.

This isn't a bad idea most expecially in a society that has adopted Bitcoin fully as this can go a long way to create more publicity and aid local Bitcoin adoption to a very extent.

But if Bitcoin hasn't gained an high level of acceptance in your region, then it's definitely not the best thing to do yet as it could attract unnecessary attention from some agency that might regularly visit such location to carry out assault on bitcoinner. Seems you guys already have systems that are working too well for you already and that's just a perfect way to go about this. Create a good social media page that's going to be very active and functional and from the reviews and responses you will get from followers that are engaging in those handles, it's going to be easier to create a good feedback on the level of Bitcoin adoption you're experiencing in your region.

Seeing that this probably went through the required documents and government approval then we can assume that Bitcoin is generally accepted by the government in Indonesia? We wouldn’t want the government to bust the house and try to come up with crimes no one committed.
In Indonesia, bitcoin regulation is only a means of commodity and is not allowed as a medium of exchange in general that replaces the rupiah currency.
Bitcoin is generally accepted but with clear rules, no one will raid your house even if you own Bitcoin.

But bitcoiners from all over the world who are in Bali should worry about the attitude of local authorities towards them (https://medium.com/predict/the-foreign-tourists-in-bali-warned-against-using-crypto-for-payments-a0fe33581cf5).

It is not allowed for general payments to replace rupiah, and has been urged.
Bitcoinhouse aims to educate, introduce Bitcoin, and meet many like-minded people about Bitcoin.

An iron tin can container is not the best place to spend time in a hot and humid climate, I should say. :)
hey dude, I know it's made of Containers iron tin can, but you certainly know the function of the air conditioner built into it.
The hot and humid climate will indeed bother you, but that will not happen, they have also designed it to be as comfortable as possible.

It looks cool for Bitcoin adoption but I am cautious to visit such locations and inform people that I am a Bitcoin investor. Risk is big and my caution will keep my staying outside of such places. I can be an outsider and feel happy with this adoption but I am not a kind of person who will join it.
No one forces you to tell you that you are a bitcoin investor, they don't ask how many bitcoins you are.
It's just a community created for all sorts of reasons about Bitcoin education, not crime, so you don't have to be skeptical about the negatives.
Just a choice of wanting to join or not, if you are not in line then skip it.

Privacy is important and inform many people that you are a Bitcoin investor is so risky.
I'm also aware of that, so don't tell your portfolio, and like I said this is a choice, your privacy is in those communities not public,
you can probably come as anonymous if you want, just an option.

In relation to the attack you are referring to, even it happened not only in Bali but in other countries as well it happened maybe even more brutal.
People don't have a problem with crypto or bitcoin, but maybe with the individual or the tourists themselves.
As you may know, some tourists can't appreciate where they live and don't respect the rules here.

This isn't a bad idea most expecially in a society that has adopted Bitcoin fully as this can go a long way to create more publicity and aid local Bitcoin adoption to a very extent.
Exactly, that's the goal, we won't know how Bitcoin adoption will develop in the future, we can only strive from this simple thing.

And for everyone, the purpose of creating this Bitcoin house is for education and not only my foreign tourists attend, but many local tourists can also join.
Bitcoin house has a mission to make Bitcoin accessible and understandable to Indonesians.
focuses on easy and free access to reliable information and the creation of local educational networks, ensuring that everyone can learn about Bitcoin.

I like the goal of that Bitcoin house, it's not only for actual Bitcoin enthusiasts but also for learners who want to start knowing more about Bitcoin. At the same time, it's also a co-working space so everyone is free to go and if you're a remote worker which typically is the setup of many folks today. It's a great timing for someone who likes to visit there to be in that coworking space and see how many btc enthusiasts are gathering there to share more about the market sentiment, technical discussions and stuff. It's very interesting if I'm close there and I'd drop by but maybe as a tourist soon since many have been telling me that beaches there are great place to have a vacation.

it is a great place for bitcoin lovers and also people who want to know more about bitcoin. not only they will get knowledge directly from the community, but they can also socialize and build networks which will help them in their bitcoin journey. this is a place that is needed by many young people, especially in indonesia, so they can understand more about what bitcoin is and how to use it. and hopefully one day i can visit bali and visit this place, because it only takes 1 day trip from my city if you take the bus.

Of course I welcome this taufik123. I believe this community located in Bali will help people who want to learn about Bitcoin directly.

It looks cool for Bitcoin adoption but I am cautious to visit such locations and inform people that I am a Bitcoin investor. Risk is big and my caution will keep my staying outside of such places. I appreciate your careful attitude because my assessment is that you do not want to be careless in the public space. However, the purpose of this community is good as the OP has mentioned to learn and share ideas regarding Bitcoin. Moreover, knowledge like anggita [great poster] who has been active and involved with this forum discussion for a long time is above average so that unique ideas can be shared with the community.

Well for those around Bali and those who wants to visit they can enjoy whatever comfort that will be provided by this bitcoin house, it's a good initiative but at some point a lot people including me are privacy oriented and minded people who would rather not gather in a place to show that we are bitcoin lovers or holders as their mighty be an attack on our privacy through such gathering. I'm not against any gather but practically I'm not an extrovert so prefer staying indoors all day so even if I'm be Bali or any where close to the bitcoin house I would visit especially if there's any party related stuffs around.

The big benefits I see in this initiative is the fact that it will promote the use of bitcoin as means of payment around that environment as products or things will be sold in BTC in that bitcoin house and it will create more awareness of bitcoin.

I commend the efforts and the idea behind the project. This is pretty cool and will have a great impact in building a bitcoin community in the locale. Though Bali is a popular destination for tourists, I don’t think a major focus of this project should be tourists bearing in mind that tourists usually avoid situations and places that may put them at any risk of being robbed or considered “targets”.

I have a feeling that more tourists are going to come to Indonesia particularly in Bali just for this bitcoin house.
Local meet ups happen all the time and I do not hear of people traveling all around the world to meet there.  Bitcoin Conferences are a different thing, a different beast.  People would pay money to go there and have the opportunity to listen to new information, meet interesting and important people potentially for business encounters even, collectibles et cetera.

But choosing Indonesia, which is a pretty exotic place anyway to most people, just for that container?  I doubt it.

I have never been to Bali even though I am Indonesian but I am happy with this news is a bitcoin house in Bali at least when there is a vacation plan with family Bali becomes the first destination to visit.

Bali is the most beautiful place even though I have never visited it but some foreigners Bali is a place that is visited by many tourists Bali is also often held meetings of other crypto communities this is what I read in some news.

Noting the address when one day I go to Bali I want to go there and want to know the interaction.

I agree. I’m sure it has good intentions but how are we sure that the security and the safety is ensured while we are in the house? If anyone is free to enter, how can be sure of his or her credentials and how can we be sure that they are not just people trying to steal or rob some of us knowing that bitcoiners most likely have their holdings on their phones or somewhere around them?

I think Indonesia is one of the countries that allows bitcoin as an investment but not as a replacement for their fiat currency. However, if this bitcoin house only aims to introduce and educate, it may be very good for the crypto user community. Since Bali is one of the recommended places for everyone to vacation, I think they are trying to take advantage of this moment to introduce Bitcoin more to people who are visiting and local. Well, maybe one day I will go on holiday there and maybe have a look at the place.

Not to mention that they're going to see a surge of people that will be coming to Bali just to check out this bitcoin house, I'm pretty sure that whatever is in there, it will definitely boost the tourism, hopefully some of us would have the time of day and choose this as their vacation destination, there's a lot of fun things to do in Bali and maybe even in some islands in Indonesia, of that I'm sure. Share your pictures here to help everyone that's planning to visit this house if it's worth the visit. Other countries should do this kind of thing in my opinion, anything that would boost your tourism is a really good idea.

very good,
Bali deserves to have a bitcoin house because many tourists come to Bali, it is possible that with a bitcoin house there will be more tourists visiting Bali, as far as I know, many tourists will save their money in bitcoin.

No one forces you to tell you that you are a bitcoin investor, they don't ask how many bitcoins you are.
It's hard to control what you will say, show off when you are ready to join such places. Emotion can break your initial plan so with me, I choose prevention, don't join it is my best choice.

If you say you are a Bitcoin investor, it's a first risky step. If you show off like how many bitcoins you have and how many btc you bring to that place, it's another bigger risky step. A person can do both steps or just one of them or none.

My stance is, we never know who will join such places and event.

Perhaps you misinterpreted my post. I know responsibilities come from both sides, visitors, foreigners and locals. To live together well, they must respect each other, local rules and culture, and I never meant Bali is like a hub of crime with bad locals and the like.

While resorts are affordable to a limited number of people, they gather those with financial and other resources, and people from all over the world. Thus, it's great to have very Bitcoin-oriented places on resorts, as it can familiarize a lot of people from very different regions with Bitcoin. I wish success to Bitcoin House Bali and great connections with people who are already Bitcoiners or want to learn more about it.
