Title: [Warning] OmegaRecoverySpecialist.com (multiple red flags)!!!
Post by: SFR10 on June 01, 2024, 04:46:58 PM
What happened:
While I was browsing the Service Announcements board earlier, I noticed there's a user who's claiming to be an Australian TV host... On top of that, he/she is promoting/labeling the website in the subject field as the "best crypto recovery company"!

  • He/she didn't post the domain extension on the unedited version, but if we Google the first line, we can see this user has posted this spam in a lot of other places, and in one of them, he/she did it with adding extra spaces [archived (https://archive.is/B22xX#selection-985.10-985.39)]:

    Website; omegarecoveryspecialist .c om

    • They claim there's a "chargeback process" on the "Lost Bitcoin Wallet" tab while mentioning recovering funds through "SHA HASHING FUNCTION algorithm" on the "Wrong Address" tab [referring to sent transactions]: Archived link (https://web.archive.org/web/20240601162541/https://omegarecoveryspecialist.com/about.html)
    • Fake reviews with stock photos.
    • Their listed address belongs to an Italian restaurant in London [Isolabella (https://www.squaremeal.co.uk/restaurants/isolabella_7129)] while they're using a number that belongs to the US [North Dakota]!
    • Checking on your website you claimed to be in this business for 22 years already but checking the information on your website it was just registered last year, a big discrepancy on what you are claiming.

Scammers Profile Link:

Tagged and "created a flag (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3308)".

We all know that there is no way they can be real. The OP is not the first to create such threads; some of them get deleted immediately after they are reported. I don't know why that one is still existing.

Some of such services come with text like "Mr.... helped me recover my crypto, which was lost to either scammers or they lost access to it." Chat with Mr.... on Telegram or email. Those kinds of scam recovery services appear once in a while in this forum.

Flag have been supported, even though they won’t make any difference.

This kind of scam may seem quite funny for us and immediately understand it is just a way to scam people, but unfortunately for some people who lost their assets or got hacked this might seem the only hope for them not knowing the fact that their assets are lost forever and such ways or recovery services are only made to steal more money from you because you are desperate to recover that big loss. I see many of these fake comments around crypto content especially in videos or social media posts with tons of similar replies to promote a scam profile claiming to have that kind of services.
In the other hand, creating a topic against them with their services name or website, may help others to stay away from it, in case they did a small research in any search engine, hopefully this topic for example might be the only thing that can save someone before he pays to this person and get scammed twice after losing or getting hacked.

Supported the flag the service is meant to scam people, the introduction here is very dubious and the information on their website is contradictory It is good that they open a thread here so we can bust them here and ruin their business.
I hope people who will try their service will research this company so they have a reference now, which is this thread, It is good for @SFR1 to create this thread.

If you're referring to recovery services, I agree... Almost all of them are fake, but it's worth noting that there's one legit recovery service on this forum that's been around for more than a decade.
- I'm not going to mention the name of his recovery services on this board, but he goes by the name of Dave!

Flag have been supported, even though they won’t make any difference.
They do, but the yellow warning banner that's present at the moment is only visible to guests and newbies.

Thanks to everyone who supported the flag [it's now active] :)

Let's look at the bright side, if as most people do you only search for "omega recovery" the first result will be a mental and substance abuse recovery clinic!

But if you want something funny:
https://www.trustindex.io/reviews/omegarecoveryspecialist.com-2

They have a 4.6 rating out of 558 reviews, but , all the 5 reviews come from bots advertising other most likely scammy recovery services!!!! And despite those being obvious spam messages the owner of the site still thinks them for their reviews  ;D ;D
Thos scammers and the way they promote themselves are getting more ridiculous by the day!

It is worth noting that they have also listed their fake service on several review platforms, not just Trustindex but Reviewsio (https://www.reviews.io/company-reviews/store/www.omegarecoveryspecialist.com), Sortlist (https://www.sortlist.com/agency/omega-recovery-specialist), and finally, Webnovel (https://www.webnovel.com/book/omega-recovery-specialist_27659131308789905). They have positive ratings from all the fake reviews they have purchased, similar to the fake positive reviews on their official website.

Also, if you look at the Terms and Conditions (https://archive.ph/n2Pdk) page on their website, the privacy policy page, and others, you will find that they have placed the template without any changes or modifications. I think they need a brain rehabilitation clinic instead of an omega recovery. :D

I will support the flag now, thank you OP for this thread.
