Post by: Cryptohygenic on June 10, 2024, 03:40:04 PM

This is my first post after having couple of days reading through the platform.
i have desires to invest on cryptocurrency but bitcoin precisely. Actually, i met a neighbor friend of mine who deals on bitcoin and told him my desires but he referred me here that i should explore myself by engaging of crypto discussions with newbies like me and also with the experts far ahead of me.
He said i should always make research whether i feel satisfied or confused while learning to grow my knowledge and has warned me not to come to him on regular basis.
So where do i start please?

We can give you the entire links and path through how you can be successful from this forum but if you did not take responsibility for your own self in making more other discoveries, you may not achieve up to expectations and you may see this place as being trimmed towards the experienced fellows alone, but the truth is that we all started from somewhere and till become whom we are, we have always been making learning a consistent habits and if you can also do this, it doesn't matter how you have started, you can always achieve any of your targets when active and determined.

He did well telling you that to encourage you to learrn certain things on your own and not feel lazy and ask questions about every single thing you want to know about. Carrying out your own research will help you more as grabbing things on your own makes you understand it better. Make research and try to understand it then ask questions when it’s proving too difficult to understand.

So where do i start please?
There are similar threads created by newbies asking for help on where to start and if you have gone through the forum properly you must have come across one of them but now that you have asked let me refer you to one of them here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5498485.msg64154583#msg64154583) you can get useful information there.

I would recommend these website/book as a starting point,

You may find the answers to any questions you may encounter on this forum or at https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/

Well you are in the right forum where we have experienced users here that can guide you through so you just have to ask questions more especially in this beginner and help section of the forum that is where all your questions will be answered on what you wish to know or understand. This line I bolded is where I can tell you that the person who introduced you to this forum wants you to learn and make research on your own which is a very good step because if he keeps on guiding you it will be difficult for you to take things seriously but sometimes when you can't  be able to get help from him it will enable you to have the zeal to know all by yourself.

Infact this self learning seems to build me with more passions on my desires on bitcoin investments .

We're upright in our doing because the forum wouldn't hesitate to punish one when apprehended. The forum will not condole any form of plagiarism which is the number one rule to consider when it comes to making posts. I know how dangerous it can become when caught and trust me when I say the consequences that follows are not friendly. You already lined out the crucial piece of information and this will definitely go a long way for OP.

I think the best form of preparation is to read the rules of the forum and after that you read all the guides already posted by other members, because that way you are going to expand your knowledge about Bitcoin and the forum together with general cryptocurrency.

Keep in mind that by asking questions you stand a chance of getting diverse opinion which help you more than just reading articles, this is what makes you grounded in the knowledge and experience, take a few practical steps and hodle more Bitcoin as an asset for long term base.

Not all YouTube channels will be able to provide you with the correct information. If you are familiar with the fact that on YouTube channels some people prefer to just make money, you should understand that the owner is primarily interested in money.

All the links provided to you on the forum will contain similar information, and you mistakenly think that you cannot cope with it. Consistent reading and communication on the forum will give you the correct understanding.

However, I would like to warn you to be careful when trusting those people who may offer their assistance in investing your money. Do not try to communicate through personal messages, as you can sometimes meet unscrupulous people who are willing to deceive you.

Thank you. I actually watched on the YouTube channels and most of the presenters in the video are basically talking about Invest Invest quickly before the market price increases.
Some of them are giving links and referer codes on where to invest and have your funds secured. I have most of the channels suspected because they don't really emphasize more on the risk sides. Maybe that is a market strategy or want to rebel me unlike this forum that everyone talk more about the risks and that means to me that people in this platform cares about my fund safety without being selfish.

YouTube seems to show something that makes it easy for the desired needs. We admit that learning something virtually that can be seen like on YouTube is different from learning while reading.
Careful attitudes are needed when receiving information from the YouTube channel because not all content delivery contains accurate levels of truth.

It would be better if the reinforcement was done after getting information on YouTube by actively involving yourself to read every discussion in the forum related to what you want to learn and you will get it better.

Actually, he's right. There are no sweet words and shilling but he just directed you to the right place for you to learn. But still, be careful with people that might shill you the projects that they are working with or what's in their bag. If you want to start rightly, there's no need to go far away from the discussion, you're in the Bitcoin forum and as what the name of this forum is, you should start buying Bitcoin. Don't get it wrong about buying Bitcoin because it's not required to buy a whole of it if you can't afford, you can do the 'dollar cost averaging' by doing a series of purchase continuously with how much you can afford. So, there you go and start with buying Bitcoin.

You’re right there. First and foremost, know the rules and policies first so that you will be aware what to do and what to avoid while you are inside the forum. Read and explore everything that catches your attention, that way you will gain a limitless knowledge and will continue to grow more by not stopping to read and learn everyday. And always keep in mind that learning takes a lot of time, so just be patient and be consistent in your goal while you tend to follow every link that was given already ahead of this post.

I feel this neighbor of yours did well by referring you to this Forum, you coming here is the number one step and as a newbie that wants to learn don't expect everything to be done for you, is like a path to success has been shown to you but is up to you to keep up the pace. Remember the Forum members will guide you on what you want to learn but the rules still implies, for your neighbor to say not to come to him always it means you have to start the journey alone. Secondly ask yourself which you want to engage in, is it trading or to be an investors? Nobody's going to decide for you, is up to you OP.

Just thinking! Is it possible for someone to know everything about this platform and also everything about bitcoin?
I have been reading through the platform for days now and I have recently been watching on YouTube about how I can build my bitcoin carrier knowledge. To an extend it feels encouraging as I have engaged on the platform rules, being studious on the risk factors on my bitcoin carriers including some terms to buy bitcoin and keep it in the wallet for a long time so that I can make profits.
At the other hand, it feels discouraging like I have not even started learning because things to learn about on this quest seems unending.
So does it mean you all in this platform are professional to the extend of knowing everything about this platform and bitcoin as a whole before you invested?

First of all I welcome you to this great bitcoin forum. It is very difficult for a common man to know everything about Bitcoin, blockchain technology and this platform. But I think it is not necessary to know everything. A little bit of knowledge will get you going. The more time you spend on this forum the more you will learn. And if you need help in any matter, ask questions, many forum members will help you.

Make sure you avoid plagiarism.

If you want guildlines about this forum, you must be ready to read through what each and every persons that has dropped a post on this topic has to say.You must read their ideas and their suggestions or what they have to say,and follow the ones that you see it's right for you.I know some of the posts might tend to attack you,but since you know what you are looking for,you won't have to attack back, just be focused and concentrate on the ones that tend to add something meaningful to your life.Other persons have given you some guildlines,so I am saying you should be patient enough to ready through all what they have to say,so you would benefit from them.

First, what is your agenda?, do you want to invest with bitcoin but you don't have knowledge of how the market works so do trading, analyze the process of trading and smart money concept. Do you want to earn in crypto besides trading?, there are different ways if you have a background in development you can do related projects like web3, if you have a background in management you can do Project manager in different projects, if neither of that you can also be like other in the crypto space looking for a project and hope to become worthy. Those I've said is most likely discussed here in the community now you will visit each board related to the topic you want, community is open to your questions and concerns that can help with your journey, so don't hesitate and keep learning.

YouTube can be misleading if subscribers ain't careful on how they enrolls with their reliances in the channels because the moderators are most there to make profit and not primarily to promote bitcoin.
Although they could offer helpful guidelines on investment purposes but can possibly code switch and digressing on different perspectives which could lead investors to lost of their funds probably as a result of inadequate guidelines or personal interest.
Calling in the Ops attention to be careful even while in the forum is a good warning alert because there could still be dubious users in the forum who may claim to be good Samaritans to help the Op and due to the Ops inexperiences in the industry could lead him fall a victim. So always stay careful Op.
To me, good luck and welcome to the bitcoin sphere.

If you joined this forum to increase your knowledge about cryptocurrency, it might be right for you. You will learn more about Bitcoin by spending more time on this forum than on YouTube.
Feel free to ask questions here senior members will surely guide you.
Maybe not get proper information about Bitcoin on YouTube because only people make interesting videos on YouTube to earn money. Also mentioned that your neighbor met a friend who is an expert in Bitcoin to learn about Bitcoin. You learn everything about Bitcoin from him and also learn how to invest. Learning anything takes your willpower to dominate so seek expert advice to explore Bitcoin related knowledge.

However, YouTube can be reliable but at the same time, it can be misleading as well, so always be careful and cautious with what you are watching as you might be influenced with false information and become misinformed. I still suggest do not rely on Youtube alone but gather a lot of resources and compare and filter them after. To be able to do that, one must gain maximum learning from the forum by being active most of the time.

Furthermore, study and explore the links that have been suggested by other members. I know they can be a lot helpful for beginners like you. Just take your time in learning the basics first.

I agree that only reading books does not clear your doubts. When you are reading a book, thousands of questions come to your mind, but if you are talking to a person, you ask these questions. You can clear your concepts and doubts as compared to after reading one book you have to read another book for the questions raised in your mind.

And the newbies often post here that I am new here what should I do I think the best thing is that all the newbies should read the posts of the newbies already here since all the content is preset there. All kinds of links have been given. Well, seeing the same post every day and making the same comments every day is very boring but some newbies either don't understand this or they don't know how to use the forum properly which is why they do this.

It is good to see that you are here to learn more about cryptocurrency, you should focus more on learning about bitcoin, because that was the purpose why this community was created. The first poster have provided you with good articles and video to make learning easy and flexible for you, but let me also add this to it https://learnmeabitcoin.com/.
I hope you will enjoy reading and improving your knowledge with these articles.

That's right, this actually what newbies should be doing, devoting their time to be reading or studying article which will help to improve their knowledge and understanding just as you have said, because crypto is not an easy journey before one can begin or involve themselves, they are to equip themselves with readiness, studying hard etc for them to be ready in anything that comes to them like the risks involved and what it takes to overcome that risks

Also let's bear it in mind that it's very wise to ask questions whenever we don't understand something or find it difficult to go through something, we don't know everything finish but by asking questions we will keep learning and improving as well.

Welcome to the forum mate, your definitely in the right place to learn about bitcoin, the forum might be tricky to navigate at first but with time you would get used to it.

The forum is divided into boards relating to different topics, you can go to each board to read about topics on that area, the most famous boards I know are the, bounties altcoin where you can air drops campaign or bounties launched by different crypto projects.
