I believe Bitmart still supports P2P trading for naira. I just checked, and it seems you can use it to buy USDT, which you can then use to purchase Bitcoin and other altcoins. https://www.bitmart.com/p2p

Well to some extent you are actually right and that's the part about scammers taking advantage of the opportunities but I can guarantee you that they are still lots of CEX out there that still support the use of P2P and one of them I use frequently is bitget.apk, I even bought some few amount of Bitcoin today myself and I do that on a regular basis as I buy and accumulate the coin to a certain amount then after which am content, I move it to my safe wallet for holding purpose.

People have freedom to a greater extent in Nigeria. The government is not telling anyone not too teach people about bitcoin.

We are not so bortherd because because some of us receive stipends from a signature campaigns we often do not bother ourselves we how to get bitcoins for DCA. But with the difficulty with using banks for crypto trading with exchanges, where and how can someone buy bitcoins or other coins.
Neglect the threat and continue using your bank for bitcoins other crypto P2P trading. Just do not label any transaction as crypto transaction.

I believe Bitmart still supports P2P trading for naira. I just checked, and it seems you can use it to buy USDT, which you can then use to purchase Bitcoin and other altcoins. https://www.bitmart.com/p2p
That is if the ads for bitcoin is not favoring on the. I saw only one buy ad for bitcoin on BitMart, while few for selling ads. You can even create your own ad in an exchange.

You can still buy bitcoin on Bybit and Bitget.

Buying or selling bitcoin via p2p can never be a problem in Nigeria because there will always be a way out. No matter that we know our government is having issues with exchanges in Nigeria, no mean say some exchanges no still dey do p2p trade.

I use bitget and bybit for my Naira p2p. If I want to sell bitcoin, I sell direct and get paid in Naira, amd if I want to sell USDT same. It is only Binance and Kucoin that have delisted Naira from their exchange. Don't be scared about the banks warning because they cannot know if your transaction was from crypto. Also use online banking apps.

that's what these our politicians that are threatening to ban all exchanges don't even know. The crypto industry has grown past that phase that delisting naira from binance or any popular exchange would just cause p2p transaction to go extinct. It's not possible and even if Bitget and bybit decides to delist naira from her p2p currency, there are still several alternative to buying of Bitcoin or even selling of Bitcoin and getting it in our Naira.

We already have a thread on the board that's seeking for an alternative to the normal p2p methord should it get  to a point that we can no longer use these exchanges and we can just do our transactions with ourselves. even on that same binance that naira has been delisted, people are still buying and selling crypto through that medium by working with some agent and although it's not all that safe, it's still a reliable methord you could work with if you know what you're doing.

Believably there are lot of people out there interested to invest on bitcoin but the scamming records around it has been a discouragement to them. It only takes courage to Invest on bitcoin if you're far from the knowledge or easier when trusted someone who brought about bitcoin to your knowledge. The crisis within the government over crypto centralized exchanges has also brought fear to most interested persons on bitcoin.
Op I don't understand what you expects the crypto enthusiasts to do in such cases as you said we don't care.  Are we supposed to hold hold a public convention to convince the people out there in doubt about bitcoin?
Perhaps beginners can buy bitcoin on a third party but must be assured of legitimacy. That's if you don't want to negotiate directly on the p2p exchange.

Whenever there is a new technology in town scammers always take advantage of it to get their victims, even when the banks started digital transfer of funds most people got scammed through fake transfers, so its not just a bitcoin thing.
The problem we have is people jumping onto a new trend most especially if there is a false narrative that it makes people rich like whats happening to bitcoin at the moment. People who are easily scammed are mostly those that have the intention of getting rich quick and scammers use this to get them. with a proper knowledge i don't think anyone can ever scam you in this space.

OP there are still many exchanges that currently run P2P exchange, so its still not a thing of concern. there are also other local vendors too but my advice is to be careful about them. i don't see the government going any stricter than this, there notion of P2P exchange been the cause of the naira devaluation against international currency has actually died down as they now sees that it doesn't after their bans

I don't think people are finding it difficult to invest in BTC in Nigeria op, because BTC has become popular in the country, even village people know how to use p2p to buy BTC and hodl to secure a good profits in the future.

There are some exchange app, which you can download in your phone or laptop and use the exchange to buy any coins of your choice through p2p and the coins will appear in your wallet, despite the banned the government has banned BTC in the country but people are still trading BTC every night and day to earn profits.

You have to be very careful, who you want to teach how to buy and sell BTC  in Nigeria because there are some army forces who are after BTC users in the country, and they art like someone that want to learn BTC and crypto but once you fall into their trap, you will be arrested and they will force you to give all your wallets details or you remain in the prison, which many people has fell victim to such people in the country.

One thing is we are only being afraid for nothing, if you want to buy bitcoin in current Nigeria today, it's even more simpler than you can imagine.

We only had government threatening the crypto space in Nigeria with their actions towards it but we are not in any way restricted of getting it, there are real vendors where you can get your bitcoin and even with the level of scam you can still be more conscious and trade with people who you know physically.

Bybit still have P2P for naira and you can use them to purchase if you want just like that and if you are having doubts of those P2P exchanges you can even buy from forum members who also trade in naira the only instructions is not to label your transactions crypto related words and you can use trusted members like Charles-Tim , CryptopreneurBrainboss , Igebotz , Nwada001 and others as escrow to be on the safer side when trading with someone in the forum (local board), which I think is even more better.

Thanks for rating me that high, but I want to use this medium to say that I don’t serve as escrow of any kind in this forum, have only conducted some transaction but that was base on trust and with few friends.

Beside this local board have only one approved escrow which is the moderator @Igebotz

Investing in bitcoin is very simple, and you don't need to pass through any difficulties before you can start your bitcoin investment. You can buy bitcoin even when you're on top of your bed. The Nigerian government has tried to stop its citizens from investing in bitcoin by removing the Naira trade on some reputable centralized exchanges P2P trading, such as Binance and KuCoin exchanges, but that hasn't stopped us from investing in bitcoin. There are some centralized exchanges where you can trade naira in their p2p trade, such as Bybit and Bitget exchanges. You can tell anyone you know who is interested in starting a bitcoin investment that he or she can buy bitcoin on either Bybit or Bitget exchanges P2P trading.

Just to be cleared, I no longer provide escrow service, and it is no longer a one-way trade, thus I would suggest anyone to carefully select a reputable member as a third party to carry out their transaction. We have a lot of them on this board. I have yet to amend the escrow service section of the local rules, which I need to do this week.

Seriously, bitcoin investment go been d difficult for most people wey no sabi sae there other exchanges like Bybit and bitget wey d, wey dem go fit buy bitcoin apart from d ones we government don ban.

Since the ban of crypto exchange by the Nigeria government. I think sae, there are people wey no know sae they can get bitcoin from elsewhere because dem don d too use to Binance, and Kucoin for the buying and selling of their bitcoin. The banning of those exchange come disorganized them not to know what to do again, and they been no know about bybit or bitget exchange.

Believe you me, if no be this forum and some of my friends wey d into crypto, I for be among those wey d find am difficult to invest for bitcoin cos who go inform me sae there are other exchange that someone can actually buy bitcoin from apart from Binance and Kucoin. However, em go make sense make we tell other people sae, there other means they can buy bitcoin from(Bybit and bitget exchange) for the time being before they find about them.

Bitcoin is becoming popular in Nigeria and there are many people who are interested to invest in it, but the question they do not know is how to invest or where to invest.
Honestly, Bitcoin is really gaining more recognition each and every day in our country, Nigeria. As for anyone that wants to invest in Bitcoin, they are really going to seek to learn first, and that will be what guides them. So, if they really have the knowledge, I don't think they will find it difficult to understand how to invest and where to invest. For anyone that is serious about investing in Bitcoin, learning about Bitcoin is not hard. One thing to remember is that we can't know everything in one day; learning is a gradual process.

But with the difficulty with using banks for crypto trading with exchanges, where and how can someone buy bitcoins or other coins?
Recently, the Nigerian government has banned many of these popular P2P exchanges. However, I believe that they have not yet banned all of these reputable and popular exchanges. One of the exchanges that many Nigerians are using now that supports Naira P2P is Bybit. I think it is reliable for now, but don't trust any exchange completely because anything can happen at any time. I have seen many popular exchanges collapse and run away with people's funds. The best way is to buy your Bitcoin and move it to your non-custodial wallets.

That is if the ads for bitcoin is not favoring on the. I saw only one buy ad for bitcoin on BitMart, while few for selling ads. You can even create your own ad in an exchange.
You can still buy bitcoin on Bybit and Bitget.
I checked again, and I believe they are not ads. There are many open orders in the P2P section. You might need to open an account with the exchange to access it if it doesn't show with the link.

It is still how I posted about it in the morning. There are still more selling ads but the more you scroll down, the less favour are the ads. It is still better to buy USDT and then convert it to bitcoin on the spot market on the exchange if the rate for bitcoin is not favoring.

P2P trading for Naira is perfectly working in Nigeria in Bitmart and there are some exchanges that can help some exchanges that will help to trade from Naira to USDT and buy bitcoin, it is not that difficult to buy bitcoin, it is not about investing in bitcoin, is he capable of investing in bitcoin? is he capable of holding ? He said that bitcoin have become more popular in Nigeria and people want to invest in it, but it is very important for those who want to invest to know what bitcoin means because we Nigerian are difficult to understand sometimes, some people will have interest in bitcoin because they hear about how the people use to make money when the bitcoin price rise and they don’t ask if the price use to drop or not and after investing and they didn’t see it the way they expect they will start saying some negative things about it and it will make some people who have interest on it before to not invest again, so we should try to let people understand bitcoin before investing,I didn’t mean he didn’t know what bitcoin is but sometimes we should ask so that they can learn more than what they have heard from people that introduced them to bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency has come to stay in Nigeria, and the adoption is increasing everyday, our government is aware of this glaring fact and they are accepting it that placing restrictions on exchanges can not stop crypto business in the country, so let them go ahead and regulate it to get their taxes instead of being skeptical about it. Also there is p2p transactions between two parties but which doesn't require the interference of government or any third party but you have to do it with a trusted person or escrow.

OP your question is very clear and as I can see for myself, members here have already proferred opinion to your quest and I must say that the response gotten here so far is very much welcoming. As a matter of fact, the exchanges listed by some members are very much active and running bit I will advise that you always form the habit of 'do your own research" before engaging with them so that you do not fall into the wrong hands.

As you can see for yourself, the clamp down on crypto exchange offering Nigeria p2p is what you do not need anybody to tell you to be careful. It is something you would have to be careful while trading on other platforms p2p so that nothing goes wrong.
