I wanted to ask if someone could explain to me how Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) work exactly? BIP1 (https://bips.xyz/1) and BIP2 (https://bips.xyz/2) describe the process. However, the BIPs repository (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips) now has new maintainers, so the procedure may adapt from before. to be implemented, the community must reach a general agreement. some of the most significant bip examples are BIP 39 and BIP 32 |
