Title: What to do when there is a continues DIP
Post by: Btcdeybodi on June 20, 2024, 09:45:28 PM
There are some investors that waits for a dip price to buy and when the dip comes and they buy but they begin to experience that the price is even dipping further, so is there a need to panic or continue buying at every dip price if you still have some reserved funds with you because even though many wish for a dip to happen in order for them to buy Bitcoin but there are investors that expects the price to skyrocket after buying so if the price continues to dip further, is it not going to make those investors to lose confidence that the price may later not increase again?

How will it make them lose confidence when they already know that the price might dip and that was why they were waiting for the dip to buy in discount price. It is good to have reserve funds to buy at the dip if you are prepared for it and peradventure the dip comes. The reason why it is not good to depend more on buying at the dip most times is because you cannot know the bottom line of the dip, and this is where DCA comes in play because if you are consistent with your regular weekly or monthly bitcoin accumulation, you will not worry about the price of bitcoin if it keeps dipping because you are always buying at various price level. Bitcoin investment is a long term investment and that is why there is no need to panic when there is a dip in bitcoin price.

Just as you have pointed out, the things that every crypto dip teaches is, either you buy more of the tokens which will be as you doing a DCA or you simply ignore the coin and don’t rush to sell in loss most especially if you’re investing in bitcoin. Why I signified bitcoin is because some dips in other Altcoins could be as a result of the coin going rug.

Any investor you see today that loses confidence in every dip happening is simply a new investors or some who might have invested an amount that is too huge for them to lose. Just as we have hopes of a coin skyrocketing as you put it so Should such investor expects a dip. Once you have conviction about s coin the dip wouldn’t panic you

Op didn't actually specify what digital currency or crypto he was referring to. Actually if it isn't Bitcoin but altcoins, I'll advise you don't wait for any reason but sell off. I've seen a lot of these altcoins dip continuously until they are finally dumped. You might want to use the same idea of Bitcoin to hold them but remember they aren't Bitcoin. using good market analysis, you may have to sell them to avoid further losses. If want to wait for Bitcoin to dip and so you can buy and then after your buying point, continues to dip, it's time for you to buy even more. Don't be deceived by the market and forced into selling off your BTC just because the market was experiencing dips at that period of time just keep accumulating and hold.

Basically it's only a newbie in the market that will not have the confidence that bitcoin will increase or raise later.

I know that as long as we still have people that can ask this question, there are people who still think that way. Now, if any investors wants to go into any kind of venture, he or she must have looked at the past history or from the history of such venture must be the catalyst to their interest in such investment. So whatever becomes the market the should be ready to take the risk.

For me there is no advise that is more than this: if you can't take the risk of holding even when the market dips more then sell and exit the lost you think you are acquiring. but if you can handle the dips, and you have more cash flow or reserve funds that you can use to buy more, then buy more because the dips are more of a discount than losses that some people see it for.

It's only strong-hearted investors in crypto who understand the market will see this dip happening to crypto coins, still longing to invest in them more.

Many newbies I have had one-on-one talks about the current market are complaining badly about the market situation. To them, they are not willing to buy additional sat because the market is not favorable to them. They bought bitcoin when it was above $70k. Thinking that it would skyrocket further to hit $100k as predicted by many crypto influencers. Seeing the bitcoin price heading downward to $64k+ was unexpected and unbelievable for them.

Just set yourself a plan that with the price that will come during the dip, you'll buy at that moment. And no matter what will be next thing to happen, you'll be patient. Otherwise, you'll have to buy more when another dip comes because that's what you've been hoping for to come. But guess what? many of these investors that keep on saying that they'll buy when the price of BTC dips, they won't buy to be honest. And that is because they think that the continuous drop is losing them confidence for the recovery to come up next. They don't have a solid plan in doing it and keeps on making new lows as their goal every time there's a dip.

Short answer: It depends.

These are the decisions that each individual investor will have to make for themselves because everybody's size isn't the same and every investor is different — all have different goals, objectives etc. One of the ways I've seen people tackle this is that they don't buy all at once with size. Instead, they split it and buy at multiple price zones or support levels and that helps to average the price down in a situation where the price drops and continues dipping. Example is Michael Saylor.

Others just become bagholders and don't buy more. Imo, once you have your conviction about Bitcoin, these little price swings won't deter you much.

Crypto coins or bitcoin which one? You can see many altcoins increased so significantly already but there fall would be very disappointing as usual and many people will regret they invested in altcoins at high price. Many of the coins has dropped 2 time already and the bear market may still be more significant on altcoins while bitcoin not fall below $60000. People should not hold many of the altcoins for a long time but sell it when they have seen huge return. It can not keep increasing.

If after buying bitcoin and the price of bitcoin continues to go dip, their is nothing to be panic about because the pice of the market will definitely increase, and as the market goes dip if one can still afford to buy more again their is nothing wrong about it because when the market goes dip it is just an opportunity to buy more bitcoin. For those that understand the market very well, the dip is not what that should make anyone to become panic because it will surely take place. The dip is not what that can be avoided and it not sometimes that is bad, it is an opportunity for people to buy more bitcoin to hodl for the future.

Dips are either chances or risks that depends on what a person is doing, investing or trading and trading with what types: spot, leverage or futures.

With trading, Spot is the safest while Leverage or Futures is more risky and can cause liquidations. In dip times, if a trader uses leverage or futures, with bad positions, market and exchange can cause liquidations.

With investment, there is no risk of liquidation and the challenge for an investor is keep holding, DCA more or panic sell. But at least, no risk of liquidation by exchange.

There are some investors that waits for a dip price to buy and when the dip comes and they buy but they begin to experience that the price is even dipping further
~
If you saw the market dipping right after you bought some coins, you have 3 options.
1. Buy the dip, of the dip, of the dip.
2. Do what most newbies are doing which is panic selling.
3. Just be patient and wait for the market to recover.

Between the 3, the 1st and 3rd are the best things that you can do. Panicking when you saw the market going down even more after you bought will lead most of the time to losses. Seeing the market dipping means opportunity for the investor to buy even more. The problem with most of the investors that you are saying is that they expect that the market will go up as soon as they buy Bitcoin, but that isn't the case most of the time. Sometimes, you need to be patient. There's no benefit in panicking when it comes to investing, and most of the time, it leads to huge losses.

Overall, I already said the 3 things that a newbie can do when they see the market dipping even further. It's up to them already which they will choose to do

Newbies are saying buying the dip but after some dips, they no longer have money to buy more dips. It's because they don't have plans for their investment in long term. They want to enter the market, buy dips but their investment vision is not actually for investment but more similar to speculation.

If they have long term investment plan, they must have good capital management and sustainable income flow that can help them to invest with DCA strategy. DCA strategy can help them to avoid panic sale and have diamond hands to hold their positions patiently and wait for market recovery or bull run to take profit.

Overall, I already said the 3 things that a newbie can do when they see the market dipping even further. It's up to them already which they will choose to do
Three points are correlated and if they do one point incorrectly, it will affect two other points. To invest long term, successfully they must do good activities in investment for all three points you mentioned.

Yes for sure there are two things that happens in the market. Despite There are two sided party in the market, bitcoin will continue to grow without fufilling anybody's dream. If bitcoin where to follow peoples mind, bitcoin will not grow because almost everyone wants it price to dip sothat it can become cheap and affordable before it rises. While most early adopters who bought it cheaper are expecting bitcoin to rise.

is it not going to make those investors to lose confidence that the price may later not increase again?
Real bitcoin Investors dont panic, they are always confident and invest ileve. If the market is keeps diping what they even do is to buy more.

Not just some investors that expect the price to skyrocket, but all investors. No one wants to invest in something that won't give them profit in the future, so saying some investors is as if some actually want to see profit, while others just want their money to sink.

If you want some profit, it's just a matter of hodling for a long time and also disciplining yourself to avoid the anger and frustration the more dip might cause for you. That's why one needs to buy and hold bitcoin with only the money they won't need anytime soon; at least they will have enough time for the price to dance around before it can start staying positive.

I would say not some investors but all investors always wait for the price to dip to make use of the opportunity to buy more since we are all after profit. The main of of most investors is to make profit but then there are times where our limits and patience are being tested and the market begins to fall drastically, during this time there is no need to panic, we should see it as an opportunity to buy more at a lower price.

No investor wants to see the price falling but when it does we just need to keep buying at every dip and not panic because bitcoin as we all know will not go down easily and no matter the dip it will always find its way back up.

If you saw the market dipping right after you bought some coins, you have 3 options.
1. Buy the dip, of the dip, of the dip.

Absolutely the perfect thing to do when there is a dip. Always buy the dip if you can, do not panic no matter the situation and never think of selling at loss when the market is down. Above all you must have patience.

What to do when there is a continuous dip in the price of Bitcoin is to hodl the one that you have or keep buying more, Bitcoin is a long term asset and it is not favorable to sale during price dip. The focus of everybody that is hodling Bitcoin for investment is to look forward to price increase, when it will skyrocket and become very profitable. That is the reason why many people that are into Bitcoin investment are using the DCA method to accumulate Bitcoin, so that wey they will keep buying, not minding and worrying how low Bitcoin price dips it will recover and begin to surge higher.

how do you mean that Bitcoin will grow without fulfilling anyone's dream like if truly Bitcoin doesn't fulfill anyone's dream then what's the essence of investing in it because majority of investors have the believe that their investments will work according to how they have planned it to be and I believe that is the reason why more investors are trooping in because they have literally saw other existing investors succeed so that should be their motivation of choosing to invest since a lot of people wants to witness success from others before they can decide to do what they do.
Saying that almost every one expects a dip in order to buy at cheaper rate may not actually be true because there are a lot of investors that have hodl enough Bitcoin and are expecting the price to skyrocket so they can take profits from their investments.

buying at a DIP when the price continues to DIP looks like an advantage to buy at lesser price while expecting the market to skyrocket at any time but saying that one should do what other newbies does by panick selling which will actually lead to loses because it's obvious they can't sell at the price they bought with since the DIP extended further though if they are to be patient enough to wait till the market regains and starts experiencing increase in price I think that will be a good idea.

Now my question for you is that do you believe that all newbies does panic selling when they buy at a DIP price and it begins to DIP further? since you said of doing what other newbies does.

Read the OP again you will know the cryptocurrency he's talking about as all contents in the OP is original, none was edited.

Before putting your money in bitcoin, I will recommend you understand what bitcoin is all about and how it operates. If you really understand bitcoin, then you will know that no matter how much the price dips, it’s going to bounce back with time, so as an investor, I see no reason why an investor should panic when there is a dip. When the market is red, it gives us the opportunity to keep on accumulating more coins, and if you know you don’t have any funds left with you, then all you should do is just keep on holding. That’s why it’s better to invest any amount we won’t be using for a long period of time, and we should have other sources of income for survival.

the best accumulation approach to BTC market is to buy at regular intervals. You need to figure out how much extra cash you will have in say a month, and then decide how often your going to buy in that month, and divide it to get how much you will buy in that frequency.

As an example, you have $100 you wish to spend in a month, and your going to buy weekly so that is $100 divided by 4, giving you $25 per purchase period

So whether the market is going up or down over a year each week your going to buy $25 of bitcoin.

The problem OP stated is the same problem a DCA buyer has, maybe between weekly buys Bitcoin has dipped. Should they move their next DCA buy to capture the dip or wait until the scheduled next DCA buy. If they do so, they same problem exists, it could dip more from the early purchase price to the scheduled purchase price.

Its really hard to consistently get the DIP price, whether you buy at a dip or over regular DCA buying. The one advantage to DCA buying is that over time the peaks and troughs will average out, so you will never buy loads at the top or even the bottom. The DCA buyer continues to accumulate and the dip buyer may not get the dip price they wants and is left with funds still waiting to buy at a lower price.

The biggest pitfall in accumulating BTC is putting a huge amount of focus on what your average BTC price, this drives to try and time the market to get the lowest price. Instead you should be thinking about the potential upside, and accumulating as much as you can afford to.

In 10 years time, BTC could be 500k per coin. You need to ask yourself will you really care about the BTC you buy today being at 66k or 63k or hell even 57k, it just wont matter at all you will be so far in the green!!

DCA or accumulation!

This is something that you should gonna do on the moment that the market would really be having that correction but of course this one would really be applicable or something
that would really be ideal into those coins or projects on which you could really be that somewhat assure that you could really be able to see that it has a potential that would be
really be holded up for long term or simple does have that huge recognition and community support atleast. We should really be putting up into your minds that when it comes to price conditions
then it wont really be something that will really be having on a single direction.

What comes up should be going down and vice versa. This is why it would really be that always wise that youshould really know on how to deal up with things
and secure profits on the moment that you do have the chance not unless if you are holding for long term then it would really be having that different approach.
It would really be varying though.

In fact, these conditions can make people more enthusiastic to continue buying. Why should you panic if you can routinely increase the number of Bitcoins?

Investors whose aim is not to trade with the hope of making profits in a short time are very clever at taking advantage of situations like that, so that the level of panic like the situation you described is no longer felt. Honestly, this is the first time I have ever felt anxiety like that. When I bought at a price that I thought was low, it turned out that the price was not moving up, but down.

That's all I realize is a normal thing in the market.

Bitcoin price fluctuates constantly, so people have different opinions on it. But if an investor learns about Bitcoin and decides to hold it, it can certainly be the right decision. Investors must keep their greed to a level in investing. When the Bitcoin price drops or goes to a bearish level, looking for more dips can sometimes be unwise because the Bitcoin price can go higher again at any time. Then he will lose his purchasing power. The investor should invest there keeping within a certain limit. If one buys Bitcoin and holds it for a long period of time then one can definitely make profit there. No matter what the Bitcoin price is, if someone does DCA then they can definitely buy more Bitcoins.

For those people who do freak out are to those newbies or just new into this market on where they dont really know on how this market behaves or on how it do works because if you are someone whose been dealing up with this market for a while now and seeing these typical movements then you wont really be making yourself freaking out but if its your first time then sure you'll do. This is why experience and knowledge would really be something notable or comparable in between individuals specially on dealing up with this market on where it would really be that too hard since it is really that unpredictable.

There would really be only several movements that it could have on which moving up,down or consolidation. The key to success on here is that you should really know on how to make yourself act
on the moment that you would really be on such condition or situation on which it would really be that always an advantage into those people who do have that knowledge and skills or simply
does know on what they would gonna do on the moment that the market would really be on such movement. Instead on freaking out, they would really be rather checking or seeking
for some good entry or exits that they could be able to dive in.

A true investor who believes in Bitcoin won't lose confidence at all. To them, this is a better time for them to keep buying as long as they have more funds to buy. If I had enough money right now, I would lump the sum into buying more. Meanwhile, I still retain my DCA approach at this present time. And am wondering if it could dip more so that I can buy more SATS with less FIAT.

Bitcoin price fluctuates constantly, so people have different opinions on it. But if an investor learns about Bitcoin and decides to hold it, it can certainly be the right decision. You're right here! When an investor fails to control their greed, they will end up missing out on either buying as the price dips because they are waiting for it to dip more or in the case of selling, they might end up not selling and taking their profit because they are waiting for the price to go up more.

Of course, what must be done is to buy back with the reserve money that has been prepared.
But you need to see how the chart works, see where the strongest support will be broken so that the price will continue to fall.

Don't panic too much when you hold Bitcoin or a top altcoin like ETH, it will be a good opportunity to buy back at a very low price.
People who panic too much will just sell their holdings for a bargain.

Look at how the price of Bitcoin is now, it keeps dropping until it touches the price of $64k and that's an opportunity to start buying back.
I know not everyone can afford it because the reserves are not available or may have run out.
But reserves really have to be managed well so as not to miss the moment of deeper decline and buy it.

There are some investors that waits for a dip price to buy and when the dip comes and they buy but they begin to experience that the price is even dipping further, so is there a need to panic or continue buying at every dip price if you still have some reserved funds with you because even though many wish for a dip to happen in order for them to buy Bitcoin but there are investors that expects the price to skyrocket after buying so if the price continues to dip further, is it not going to make those investors to lose confidence that the price may later not increase again?
what I want to tell you in all is that when the price of Bitcoin is low and you will experience that the price is low after you have purchased a lot of Bitcoin you should not panic rather you should do purchase more of bitcoin to accumulate it to be high so that the when they price increases in the market you will have a lot of profit that is why many investors who invest in Bitcoin usually accumulated their bitcoin when they notice that the price is different from what the protects because they know quite  well if the price of Bitcoin increases they will make profit.

I don't believe at all that most investors (especially inexperienced ones) will accumulate on dips, while many of them will sell at a loss. I can say this because it is likely that not everyone is able to handle the risk of volatility, it makes them reluctant to place more capital in their investments.

Of course it would be good if they accumulated if there was a dip like now, but they need a sufficient budget. Not sure everyone can do it, even those who are experienced. To accumulate, you need a budget and this is something not everyone has. But for the best advice, try not to sell at a loss if you see a dip. Rest assured that the market will recover even if it takes days or months.

When any investor wants to buy Bitcoin, they always want it at a low price because of the high or quick profits they are aiming for. It’s not bad to have that mindset, but the truth is that Bitcoin is not predictable. So, for anyone who wants to invest in Bitcoin, they should know that the price of Bitcoin is volatile. The price of Bitcoin can go up and down anytime, and that is why they always advise to invest what you can afford to lose.

Once the money someone can afford to lose is invested in Bitcoin, it will be hard to panic when it dipping further after being invested. The only reason many people panic when the price of Bitcoin goes down is because many of them invested more than they can't afford to lose. If anyone wants to make reasonable profits from Bitcoin investment, they should be ready to hold for a long time.

Of course there is no need for a panic because it doesn't do any good to us and we can avoid it by equipping our selves with enough knowledge first. If you ask if we will continue buying, well it depends on our budget. If we still have more, then why not?

A dip is always an opportunity but if we are budgeting, then we can just wait patiently for the market to recover and rise. Also, if we have a knowledge, we can now stay to be realistic and don't just expect that when we buy, the price will then rise because we are now aware that cryptos are extremely volatile. It can also give us a confidence because we know that we already picked up a good crypto.

Judging from experience there is nothing you can do rather you keep buying or you wait for consolidation point before you buy again. But the best thing to do is to keep buying every dip along the way provided you have the funds, because the dip won't last forever. Although you have to be cautious about the project you are buying the dip because not all coins are worth buying the dip, some will dip and you might be thinking it is just an ordinary dip you won't know that the project is heading to rug pull. You have to make sure it's bitcoin or some serious alt coins that has real life use cases. It is only during the dip that you can be able to buy a reasonable amount of coins at a cheap price, if you truly know the worth of the project you are investing in, you won't panic when it dips and keeps dipping. Some dips are just caused by unnecessary fud and the moment the developers clears the air everything goes back up. That's why it's very good to always follow the social media accounts of any projects you invest on and be very active in their telegram announcement channels and other channels they use in passing out information to their community.

Bitcoin investment is not for the weak or faint hearted people, if you can't withstand the pressure of the market especially when a DIP starts occuring then you save yourself the stress that is the reason why it is good to have long term investment plan so that even when you buy at a DIP price and the DIP continues, you won't panic because you already knew the price will skyrocket back again in due time. People that panick when a DIP happens are those short term investors and those that are still new in the system but someone who have witnessed the rising and falling of the market price will understand that it only takes patience while investing in Bitcoin because a Bitcoin investor can never be at a loss so far as they have long term goals.

Just invest what you can afford to lose.

If you've invested your money and you're scared when the price decline, it means you're invest beyond what you can afford to lose. Instead of trying to accumulate more, you should do introspection how much money you can afford to lose, it's up to you if you want to sell your coins or waiting until the price rise. But the point is, you must understand yourself.

Because so far I have only seen new investors who panic more often when they see price drops, while they have had time to buy when prices have dropped a little before dropping more. Meanwhile, old investors who are mentally strong enough and have not wavered in their belief in Bitcoin will continue to buy without losing their belief in Bitcoin if they still have the spare funds to do so. So if your mentality is still fragile enough when you see the price drop in the market that it causes you to panic, train your mentality first before asking about everyone's belief in Bitcoin's price drop.

During this dips, you can buy more Bitcoin if you still have more money. Investing in Bitcoin doesn't have to buy all-in at once but you should split your funds into some parts so when the dips comes, you can buy more Bitcoin. That helps you to reduce your price buy average so you can have more Bitcoin while you can use the same amount of fiat to buy Bitcoin. The correction seems to continue but we don't know how long this will stay at the market. But if in the next weeks the situation is change, that will be good for us because we can sells the Bitcoin we bought before but we can still holds it until the price rise higher. You don't need to panic to see the price is down because that will be a good moment to buy more Bitcoin. You must use that for your own benefits to have many Bitcoin.

Reaction will really be just that depending on how experienced you are or knowledge on a certain person on which it would really be that understandable into those people who have been on this market for a while
would really be already know on what they would really be doing and with this current market in compared into those who are really just that new on which they would really be freaking out on the moment that they've seen that the market really make some bad movement or simply making some dips. Instead on making some buyback they would really be rather that be that cutting up their loses which is really that too laughable if we do speak about those actions been made specially if we are talking about Bitcoin on which it would really be best that we should really be that accumulating instead on cutting loses.

Market could really be having that movement whether going up or down. It would really be just that a wrong mindset or belief that we would really be just that having a one direction movement of this market.
If there would be a dip then it would really be just normal that you would really be accumulating more. The only enemy you would really be that having is on the emotion and mindset that you would
be having on the moment that you are seeing that the market is really that going down. You would really be that hesitating on this kind of movement.

When investing in any asset, we want to make a profit, but in a volatile market like crypto, there is no guarantee that you will make a profit immediately, so before buying something you should consider situations where the value will not increase immediately and may decrease.

But many people like to bargain at low prices, but when the price drops they continue to doubt the price drop. Perhaps if we look at the clear goals of the investment portfolio in terms of expected profits, sometimes the change will occur. Movement of 10 -50% is acceptable and be patient as the investment is in an increasing state that can fulfill expectations.

You can go to the futures market and short if you are sure it will dip. That's going to be risky but most probably the most satisfying you can do when you are certain to lose if you hold. The rest of us lose the value yet you win because you risk in leverage trading. I'm sure people are thinking of doing this already after seeing the price still is going down and the market they know will continue dipping.

This is the first time it happen that ATH is breached without halving yet. The market is really tricky, first they let you think the bull run is coming because the halving just over a few months ago. but the market is taking a dive.

That you bought bitcoin in a dip price range doesn't suppose that  the price will have to skyrocket sharply just after. We can't be precise about where a deep might end before price starts recovering and if an investor buy at a level and it still goes dip then it should be an opportunity to buy further where the funds is available because the profit will be more for you when the coins starts to rise, with this am talking about bitcoin. With other alternative coins their dip could be a journey to the end of the coin ND that's where an investor should be harbouring any fear in a further dip situation but definitely not with bitcoin.

I think investing and holding are determined by your budget, it depends on how much money you have and when you use that money.

And for how long you will not need this money? If you have an amount that you will not need for years, then you can invest it blindly in Bitcoin, but if you have a low budget and you may need your savings at any time, in that case, do your research, because then you may need to withdraw your money and in that case, if the market is down, of course, you may face a big loss.

New traders in the market think that trading is something that can earn monthly income, but that is not always true. Actually, trading is something which you can invest your saved money for some time which can bring in profit later and people with low income or low savings cannot do trading.

Where investors will feel they have lost confidence in bitcoin because it will not go up again while in every cycle bitcoin always records a new ATH.
I suspect that the investor does not have strong fundamentals where when the price continues to fall he feels panic because he sees the market continues to be red, maybe when he is in a bearish phase he will not be able to invest anymore.

So rest assured with bitcoin as long as you HODL 5 years more you will feel the benefits.
So when the price drops then you buy but the market slumps again then you don't need to panic if you still have spare funds buy DIP again means you are in accumulation at the best price but if this considers panic you will start to feel uneasy when the price drops again.

Nobody can predict exactly the final level of the lowest bitcoin price deepening, they always allocate reserve funds to buy the lowest bitcoin price and we must make sure to invest DCA to recover the losses we have bought bitcoin at the previous high level. For example, current market conditions suggest waiting for market signals next and don't rush to invest at high prices, the key to investment other than funds is patience in waiting for the right moment to invest because I believe bitcoin will fall to its lowest price before reaching the next ATH

No doubt the best way to invest in Bitcoin and have peace is by holding it for long as a target or goal. This is because if one is investing for the short term there will always be constant checking of the price, which many people even after knowing about the fundamentals of Bitcoin yet will still panic. This is because they are not disciplined enough to control risk and maintain calmness when under pressure. Every investor right now is fully aware that in times like this a lot of people are in fear of selling, while some are uncertain if they are to buy more or sell.

In my opinion, if an investor has reached his accumulation goal it is not compulsory to buy more right now if they don't want to. They should just hold on to their investment for long. But if they have more funds to buy then it is also good, the price will correct back up and make some bullish movement soon. This is normal in the Bitcoin market.

There is no need to panic again since  they were waiting for the dip to refill their portfolios and all what they have to do now is to buy and as the dip is going they should continue to buy because nobody knows when the price will rise again and once it rise then they can sell it or still hodling it. And if they are buying for long term then it is good for them to buy now. And there should be no procrastination.

Anyone who is interested to invest in bitcoin it is good to invest from the dip so that you have the experience for the dip and also to the bull. But if you buy it from the bull them you have to wait for a long time before you will come have see the bull again and if you can't wait then you sell your coins in half way and becomes a loser of the game. Right now bitcoin price is still going down.

Do what you like. Don't ask us what to do because each of us has a different financial situation and different goals.
In my case I have some money in the bank, some cash, a place to live, income outside of the bitcoin space... I don't need to touch my coins until the time and price are right.
When I see bitcoin dip I treat it like it was a spring contracting., It can't contract forever, at some point it will expand again and this is bound to happen. It's not a matter of if, but when. What if it's next month? Great! But what if it's in 2 years? In my case it's also great. You have to ask yourself if you could wait a year or two. If not then maybe make precautions, get some money out so you won't starve.

confident investor : they are ones that would see every opportunity that the market dips as an appointed time to buy and hoard Bitcoin without being scared of the dip .

Novice investor: these set are the one that always panic and feel every dip is a problem to them as they feel their coins or Bitcoin is going disappear.

Certainly, their experience and knowledge about the market will serve as  a root to how they should respond to the dips and bull season. Having understood that the market can be just in three phases, either the bear, bull or consolidation state, this will strengthen the mind of the investor into holding unto his investment, most especially in the bearish season whereas he bought the dip and the price keep on declining, then the investor already with the knowledge he has should understand that it must surely consolidate and head back towards the bullish part, holding our Bitcoin is the only key to record a profitable Bitcoin journey.

Purchases when prices fall are usually made by investors who are brave and not afraid of any risks and by investors who have more capital to do this in conditions like today. And the facts that have been seen in the past are that it is true that people who want to buy when prices fall like now and keep them until they find a bullish market again will immediately get more profits when that condition occurs. So everyone just needs to increase their courage in buying Bitcoin when the price has fallen like now if they want to get more profits in the next bullish market conditions.

When the price continues to dip, either you buy more with your reserve funds or you can hold onto your assets, if you don't have money to use. There is no need to panic too much that prices will decrease further and sell your assets because of that, because one will not lose money when they do not sell their assets. The most important thing is how you can be patient and understand that the price of Bitcoin will increase and you can make a profit if you can act more wisely in dealing with market situations - just be patient and accumulate more if you have the opportunity to do that.

On spot trading you’re right since all losses in spot is just paper loss unless you already sold. The only difference is when you are using margin trades to borrow extra capital for your trading since the loss will permanently once your position was liquidated.

There’s some instances that cut loss is also beneficial since you can increase your crypto holdings quantity if you stop loss then purchased at the bottom due to the lower price entry instead of waiting to pump again without doing anything.

The only difference of just holding is you will not be stressed out about the timing of when you will buy back again to avoid of missing out the pump train.

Nope, it's almost impossible to buy at the lowest of lows just as it is for selling at the very peak. You need to figure out what strategy you want to take and stick to it.
The worst you can do is to panic and let your emotions dictate your actions.
That's why the most recommended strategy is the Dollar cost averaging (DCA), where you just buy on regular basis without overthinking things.

Trying to time the market, e.g. by buying the dips is more complex and would require you to have some reliable indicators to determine whether we have a short-term pullback or are at the beginning of the bear market.
But I wouldn't stress too much about hitting the very bottom with your purchases. As long as you can correctly identify the long-term trend - you'll be fine.

Do not let when the price goes down then they panic and sell assets at a loss never think bitcoin will not go up instead this is a market with high volatility so you must understand this.
I will not sell even in a state of loss but when we do not sell then the full extent is not lost we may only see estimates in dollars while bitcoin will rise again.
And now thinking about how to buy more because knowing the full reserve fund is impossible to buy bitcoin at once, then the best way to do DCA with what you are doing.

Holding certain coins will be worth it if the projects are having progress when it comes to their development aspects. But if you unfortunately hold coins that are on steady decline because there's no plan in the first place, then, high likely that you will be holding worthless coins at the end. Holding long-term is only true if you have projects that have actual use case in the market. Because without usage, it can easily be forgotten by traders. It may have active trading performance for quite sometime, but ask yourself, how it will sustain its trading if it has no purpose in the first place?

I see various perspectives on how investors respond to market dips. Their actions can be influenced by their experience, the current state of the market, and their financial situation. Regardless of these factors, buying during a dip is generally advantageous when it's clear the bull market is still ongoing
I see your point. Buying at its dips could be more an edge if you know the market is only having a price correction, not actually a long bearish season. Or else, waiting could be a lot tiring not knowing when the season will change and prices start to recover.

However, one solution here is never invest using some funds that will be needed later on. That will only makes a lot of pressures, but only invest on your spare money so that if ever the market takes too long to recover, you will still stay calm and stay positive of your investment.

It is normal for investors to wait for dips. But when an investor waits for more dips it may not be acceptable. There are many traders who, after waiting for a dip and try to find another dip, but the market never returns to that position. If so then the investors are losing more than profiting. By analyzing the market and waiting for a dip, there is a chance to make a profit, but when additional dips are detected, they cannot buy. If the market continues to dump there must be some break but the investor must take minimum risk otherwise they will not be able to make profit.

You don’t get to buy bitcoin at its cheapest price and expect sudden market price spike to make you highly profitable. That’s only rare to happen in the market. Instead, know that it might even go dipper for some couple of days before it starts to recover slowly. And I actually expect that you know this earlier prior to bitcoin accumulation, except for some newbies who rush to investing and trading without enough experience on it.

So if you see price gets dipper and dipper, don’t panic but stay calm and goal-oriented. Hold your coins and while waiting for the market to recover, you can maximize buying bitcoin only if you have sufficient spare funds that you can afford to lose if ever.

When the price of Bitcoin starts to fall, the expectations of many investors may increase for more dips. This is a natural reaction that happens but you should not hold yourself back for investing and especially for Bitcoin investing. There will be dumping and pumping in the market so you should have a process to choose the best one as the scope of good opportunities is relatively small. You need to set your target so that the profit is high and to do that you need to hold long term regardless of the price of Bitcoin.

Yeah there is point in what you are actually saying because some other coins should not be considered because it could be a trap for people, in a way that they will be feeling they are actually buying the dip but at the end it will go rug, but in terms of Bitcoin majority of people always consider to invest especially when the price is going down because they believe they will get more but however in the case of waiting for more dip that's what I totally don't encourage because that method of investment has caused so much delays on people in terms of there investment but however is totally depends on the investor because everybody has there right to choose the method they prefer but whichever way DCA is very good during the investment process.

you see today that loses confidence in every dip happening is simply a new investors or some who might have invested an amount that is too huge for them to lose. Just as we have hopes of a coin skyrocketing as you put it so Should such investor expects a dip. Once you have conviction about s coin the dip wouldn’t panic you
I agree! Experienced investors know that prices going down is a normal part of investing in crypto. There are bound to be ups and downs. If you're sure about a coin, don't panic when the price drops. Instead, use that time to buy more or adjust your investments. Every price drop is a chance to buy at a lower price and hope for bigger gains later.

DCA or accumulation would really be just that only worth into those coins/tokens on which it is really that worth on holding them up and not into those coins/tokens on which there's no much community support or simply with the demand. This is why it would be always recommended that you should stick into those solid projects if you are planning on holding it for long term. We do know that there are projects which are really that good on holding up due to huge recognition and demand. Moments like this in the market is really just like a typical or normal day that we could have on which if you dont find yourself to have that kind of adjustment or simply getting used to it then you would really be surely be freaking out atm.  ;D

The crypto market is unpredictable and no one can guarantee the lowest price of a coin. It is normal to determine the wrong price when buying, What you have to do is carry out research to determine what action to take. sell or buy again depending on the research you do. If according to research it is likely that the price will continue to fall then you have to sell, if the results show the possibility that the price will recover you have to hold or you can buy again.

Look at the time frames, steady your feet and focus your view not just on now but the context over this year and previous years.   Its very hard to make sense in the near term, when its really selling off like it did yesterday who would really feel thats the time to buy.  Its cheaper but we dont want it, people are so silly.

All the prices right now even in a dip of over a week even if we declined a month it'd still be in the heavens compared to such low prices we had in the last year.   BTC is funny in that 1 year is nothing much at all for time spent, you will get your answers if you step back and consider at the least 2 years of prices.

Whales don't want Bitcoin above neither below 60,000$. The price just get stuck there... Bitcoin got more stable along the years, and those who always complained about the volatility factor may see this now as an advantage when investing in Bitcoin.

So, it's not totally bad, although it's quite frustrating to not see any further gains during this bullish season yet. I mean, Bitcoin has already reached 71,000$ recently, so why does it have to keep stucked at 60,000$ right now? There is so much to explore above this price range!

For now we can just wait and hold most coins as possible waiting for the next positive trend, which nobody knows how long it's still going to take yet until happening for real. Everyone is bullish, but reality doesn't seem to be coherent with everyone's predictions...

Realizing that it is a benefit for you to buy more and more. If you do that then you are going to end up with great results and we should definitely consider making money that way because we are given a chance. I get that it is going to be not that easy, but we should consider how to make money the way we want to make, and if we do that then we are going to end up with something much better. I know that we are going to end up with something greater, we just need some time.

I hope that we are going to end up doing a great job, we shouldn't really consider it being too difficult. If you worry constantly, eventually you sell and you will regret that decision, but if you end up holding and even buying more, you will be happy later on.

Dip price does not show itself neither are we going to know because it might still dip again or just pump of which we don't know, in essence we just need have a good strategy (DCA), that enables us to buy regardless and not panic.

Well there are two set of person that will react to this differently and one of them is the

confident investor : they are ones that would see every opportunity that the market dips as an appointed time to buy and hoard Bitcoin without being scared of the dip .

Novice investor: these set are the one that always panic and feel every dip is a problem to them as they feel their coins or Bitcoin is going disappear.

In as much as everybody are into investment but there are  different types of investors just like you are explaining because is mostly the Novice that find it very difficult to hold because of the fear they normally feel whenever the market is going down, though the thing is that if all the Novice understand the importance of Bitcoin or have a strong believe and determination they will never panic on there investment but however just like they said that is only the strong minded that can be able to profit more when it comes to Bitcoin investment, which is why everyone needs to be very confident and positive on there investment. Though is very funny to see that most people use to be very scared that there money will be gone as the price keep dropping.

On one hand it's unpredictable, on the other, we have some patterns related to 4 year cycles, and I think we're still following the pattern this season, with exception of the unexpected ATH that was a result of the approval of spot ETFs.
The purchase price matters on whether you make profit or loss but it shouldn't really affect the decision to sell. That should be determined only on the assessment of where the price will go in the near future.

As you have carefully explained, newbies are the ones who experience more often when is the right time for them to invest in bitcoin.

To them, the time when they would like to buy bitcoin, Bitcoin falls. Making them confused about the whole scenario of bitcoin volatility, that its price can't be gotten rightly as of the best time to invest without having losses.

That idea alone can makes them have a reluct mind that will result in procrastination towards having a bitcoin investment.

We've been getting used to with that 4 year cycle on which this would really be that a common approach when it comes to this aspect on which majority of us would really be trying out to reflect the current movement of price on whats coming. We've been able to pass through the halving period and now we are really that heading towards into the next year bull run season. It would really be that hard to tell on where the market would really be going and this is why it would really be that wise that you should really know on what you are doing and making up those back up plans if ever the market wouldnt really be going into those prices on where you are anticipating.

Waiting for a deeper price drop is certainly not a problem, but it is true that this is not the recommended way to exploit the market. For some seasonal investors, this method may be more applicable because they tend to look for a good entry point between two different cycles. For now, DCA tends to be good to recommend, but it depends on what they want. Each investor's investment strategy approach is different, so this will never be a problem because they also target profits.

If a person is going to lose confidence over such a small detail then buying the dip is not for them, and I would go as far as to say that investing as a whole is not for them, because the scenario you present is very common, since there is no investor that has not encountered such a thing frequently, and getting discouraged over such a small event shows a lack of mental fortitude that will not allow any investor to keep holding their position for long.

Since it's not a trading position but just holding Bitcoin I think market dip will only take little or no part of my efforts or contribution, because I know certainly that the market will recover again in the future, but if I have open a trading position such as derivative position then I will keep looking out to know when my liquidation price move closer so as to caught loses.

Keep holding your Bitcoin no matter the dip price and for sure always look out for any opportunity to buy more when the price is in discount mode.

A situation like this is the reason why an investor need to research his investment thoroughly.  There are certain unfavorable cases that may happen after we invest in a venture.  One good example is the given one.  BTC keeps on dipping after investment.  If one has full trust and believes on Bitcoin, then he must not be worried about the future movement of the market.  Besides, Bitcoin has proven itself to rebound, rally and break ATH recording another new all-time high in every 4-year cycle.

If one believes Bitcoin and he has still extra funds on his arsenal, why not put more funds when the price is falling.  It will give the investor more profit when the time comes that the Bitcoin market records a new price high.

if you still have some reserved funds with you because even though many wish for a dip to happen in order for them to buy Bitcoin but there are investors that expects the price to skyrocket after buying so if the price continues to dip further, is it not going to make those investors to lose confidence that the price may later not increase again?

If one is hesitant to buy a huge amount of Bitcoin in one go, why not DCA until the investor thinks that he has accumulated enough.

When it continues to dip like now you watch for it break upwards then keep adding into the buy so long as we beat the sell you will find good momentum occurs from the failed move downwards.   A dip can be bounce upwards also, but its easy to miss or mistake along the way.   Right now we're two days above that low made previously so Im watching for it to keep accumulating moving averages below rather then above.

For over 24 hours BTC price action has been hesitating about the 2 day average.   So any steps to recovery are very hesitant at present, needs to do better but the dip is worth watching this time imo.

Some doing also is like buying the dip - where it depends on how you handle these dips. Buying the dips during these situations is like catching falling knives where it's risky. Because you still don't know if that dip is already the last dip.
That's why some are buying on pullback after the dip but still not guaranteed.

Continuing to withstand a downturn will of course be better, but this will be very difficult for those who do not have good planning before investing and for those who have planning before investing will certainly be able to easily choose to stay with it. price conditions are experiencing a decline and even if they have sufficient funds, of course they will increase their investment so that they can enjoy the profits when the market increases again, they will be able to make a profit from what they invest, indeed there are some investors who do not understand the breed so they re-selling when conditions are experiencing a decline and of course this will cause them to suffer losses on the investments they carry out.

Where there are dips, there are always an opportunity to buy bitcoin at its most affordable price. Just thinking about it, then the more dips, the bigger chances that you will accumulate a lot of bitcoin.

However, never think that bitcoin price will just constantly staying in dips, that's never possible for any volatile coin. Know that bitcoin has its bulls and its bears, its dumps and pumps or even sideways, and all those happen because bitcoin is undeniably highly volatile ever since.

It's best to never delay buying it, there's nothing wrong with buying bitcoin every month, of course with the dca technique we will get the best average price for our assets. It's very difficult to predict the price, for example this month the price has decreased and you already have ammunition ( money) to invest but you postpone it to next month in the hope that it will decrease again, of course you will miss the price moment that month, and it is not certain that prices will decrease again next month.

For sure you would really be having those second thoughts about waiting up further because you would really be definitely chasing up the bottom and this is a normal approach to have.
Some people still have little understanding about investing or trading, of course this really tests them when they see market conditions experiencing a continuous decline and if they can get through this, they will of course still hold onto the assets they have and can make a profit from the investments they make. and if you can know exactly when market conditions are in a downturn, of course it would be better if you can take advantage of this opportunity to be able to collect assets and hold to make a profit from what they have invested, but I think it is difficult to know for sure that market conditions is truly in a state of decline.

That's why you usually don't spend everything at one go but divide it into 3 or 4 equal amounts and spend one every month or so. If there's a sudden dip, you'll balance it out buy buying there and if it goes further down you do the same, effectively lowering your entry point.

What we all know is that bitcoin goes up and down but tends to go upwards in a bull market (6 -12 months after the halving). You wont lose by buying it now, but it's always best to buy at the cheapest possible price. The problem is that you don't know what that price is, so take my advice and be ready to buy at least 3 consecutive dips.

If I were trying to stack bitcoin buy doing so I'd have bought at 65k and again at 60k and still have money for 2 possible moves lower, probably taking my chances at 56k and 52k if it goes that low.

If you are really just that new into this market then you would really be finding to be that tough and challenging on what are the things that you should gonna do in case the market would really be having its dip.
We do know that when it comes to predictability then it isnt possible that we do have in this market because everything is really that random and volatile. In going back to the question on what would be gonna do on the moment that you would really be seeing that there's that continous DIP? Of course you would really be that considering on buying back but the main question is on when you would really be considering on taking up such step? On the moment that they do step their foot into this market then the first thing that they should really be having in mind is to accept on what are the things that they are dealing with on which thisi s something that will really be that pertaining about a volatile market and a unpredictable space and since its called a market then expect that there would really be up's and downs on which you could really be able to make yourself having those moments that you would really be that hindering on whatever the actions that you would really be making whether buy or sell but since we are talking about DIP on here then there's only two possible things that you could really be able to do which it would really be neither on having that DCA or holding up your position. The only thing that you shouldnt really be doing is to cut loses and this is something which it isnt really that recommended for you to do so and this is something that you should really be that making up those realizations along the way, On the moment that you do gain experience then it would really be impossible that you
cant be able to determine on what are the steps that you are making basing up on the past experiences that you have encountered.

The only thing we are meant to do is to wait and be patient because of you join the market in panicking, you would not be doing anything better. The market is always going to have some dips but it would not stop the market from rising in the future. When we see the market dipping and we have spare funds, we can use them to buy more coins and keep holding for profit. Anybody that says you should sell when the market is falling has no experience and do not know anything about cryptocurrency market. From the current market corrections, we might be closer to the end of the market falling therefore selling right now will be a wrong move. If you are not convincing that the market is going to recover, you can avoid buying more coins but just wait until the falling ends.

(....)
Some doing also is like buying the dip - where it depends on how you handle these dips. Buying the dips during these situations is like catching falling knives where it's risky. Because you still don't know if that dip is already the last dip.
That's why some are buying on pullback after the dip but still not guaranteed.
the bounce could very much be a bull trap as well, the market is very uncertain, when market like this I just become so hesitant and usually just wait until market stabilizes first to see whether it's good or not to buy.
like as you said, buying the dip is like catching falling knives unless someone willing to switch to long term investment while they experienced lose, it's more likely that using stop loss will only hurt our capitals.
since the market isn't just straight line but formed of so many candles whether it's bulltrap or beartrap eventually the SL will just cause unnecessary lost.

like the data from this

these people were initially also trying to buy the dip too. so always prepare for the worst and always stick with spot market.

Those who believe in Bitcoin will always see this as a golden opportunity to add to their bags, but those who believe but have no money left to buy will keep it because they know this is like a test of their belief that the price of Bitcoin may still pass its last ATH some time ago, and for those who don't believe in Bitcoin, even though they still have capital, they won't move to buy and those who already have it will sell at a loss, this is something that Bitcoin owners often experience.

If there is a dip in the OP market, you should just relax; this is where you should practice yourself in situations like this. While you are doing this, take advantage of the opportunity to buy if you have any cryptos to buy that have also fallen in price before their value was high.

Even if the market goes down a lot, there is no other choice but to go up again. That's what you have to remember; it only happens over and over again in reality, so you should get used to it, and don't worry while you learn trading in this field of crypto space.

What you described is the reality and happens in the market. The your ending phrase "that the price may later not increase again" is not applicable to bitcoin. That is why we should actually be cautious of the coins we buy for long term purposes. Bitcoin has also the best coin to hold for long term purposes. With bitcoin, there's no guarantee that the price will iot reduce just as we are witnessing now, but there's a guarantee that after price decrease just sure come price increase. So we do not actually need to panic unless we used the money to solve immediate problems to invest.

Bitcoin price has been rising since before the start of the halving in 2024 and has remained stagnant until around June. But starting in July, Bitcoin has been on the dip, so those who were holding funds to buy at the current time can buy the dip at the current time. Because you can use the DCA method to buy dips you are most likely to have success. I think you will have the most success if you use the DCA method not only for dipping but also for depositing bitcoins.

In conditions like today, I think buying Bitcoin with any amount of money will also be very interesting and has the potential for much greater profits than doing it gradually. Although for those who are happy to do this (DCA) is also quite good in the current conditions. Because I never thought that Bitcoin could fall below $60K, but it happened earlier this month. And it can clearly be used by people who have large amounts of savings to immediately buy Bitcoin before Bitcoin returns to $60K or $70K again this year.

What to do when there is a continues DIP
If you ask me personally, it's clear I won't do anything about it, apart from waiting for crypto prices to fall further, of course I will ignore all speculation and predictions if that happens, I don't look at the aspect of market speculation anymore and I don't want to hallucinate market developments.

If I see the market is in a downturn, I will withdraw all my assets and place them back in fiat. I will monitor market developments for the future, Thus, when the price is really at a lower level, I will respond again when the price rises and think again.

Buying during Dips is a nice approach to add and increase your bitcoin holdings. When dips occur and drops to your desired level taken advantage of the moment, if funds are available is a great idea. But if the market price continue to decline, and it hasn't skyrocketed yet there is no need to panic. No need to panic if you are having a long-term perspective, Investors need to understand that bitcoin moves in this manner there are time which the price moves downwards and upwards. So seizing the opportunity of buying during dips, and expecting immediate upward can be wrong, just have that long term perspective Bitcoin always recovers from situation of price decline. All you need is to belive in the potential of Bitcoin  don't be discouraged by continues market dip. The moment when price will start moving upward will definitely arise which an investor can profit from buying during dip.

Even though we are rich, we must have a strategy to manage finances, I think about buying gradually to buy at lower prices and I will repeat that strategy every time to increase bitcoin assets, so that strategy is more effective than buying with all the money but you will regret it when the price drops lower and you don't have any more funds to add bitcoin assets.

Any investor who wants to start up their journey of investment in crypto needs to know what they are up to about the crypto market, that is not an easy journey they will invest out of proportion without learning to invest in bitcoin more than any other altcoins. At least starting by investing in bitcoin would teach them how to have a long plan of recovering lost investments and later be on profits.

Crypto is made up of dips and increases, how to follow it as an investor matters a lot. Many people have entered the market with the wrong timing and aim. They keep failing to make use of the dips and increase of bitcoin to their gains, all because they lack proper knowledge of four years circles of bitcoin halving(bearish and bull run)

The more money you have, the more careful you should be when managing it, since a single mistake on your investment strategy can cost you a fortune, something that no one wants to experience, so it is important to have a clear strategy in mind about what to do under every single scenario that we think we may encounter, and while many investors did not thought the current scenario was likely to happen, for someone that was prepared, this is a great opportunity to buy bitcoin for a price they may have thought they may never see again.

Well now it is happening like this and we do want to sell our coins to not lose so much. For me I do not like to look at the price of Bitcoin when it is down. It just does not make me feel so well.
Just still HODL them and we will be ok. There is not a reason for us to panic right now. But you can buy some cheap coins if you have extra fiat.

No one wishes to see btc price consistently dropping, even though we all know it’s inevitable because of its high volatility. However, since it’s happening at the moment, the best thing we should is to take advantage while bitcoin price is cheap. Buy when you have available funds but never resort into borrowing money just to make an edge over the market. And never dare to sell your coins lower than the price you bought it, instead be more patient while you continue holding your coins for your future profits.
