As a beginner in this potential forum, I never knew that bitcoin has spread round the whole world, I thought is only this forum and few countries that know bitcoin, but what I saw in the village when I traveled for local business to buy with cash because this is the season of the crops, I was so surprised seen two of my customers discussing about bitcoin in the local market, that if they can see someone that will buy crops from them and pay them with bitcoin they will be very happy, but I smile over the issues and told them that very soon government will do it to make bitcoin legal tender in the country, becauss I know bitcoin is not legal tender in my country, and I don't know if those guys are agent of government agencies to know if am a bitcoiners which is the reason I didn't let them know am a bitcoin lover, but I was very happy in my mind that my village people know bitcoin because I know for village people to know bitcoin, it show that it has gone round the whole world, that is what make me to create this topic, that bitcoin has spread all over the world.

You shouldn't be surprised that people in the rural areas know about Bitcoin. Bitcoin knowledge is limited or doesn't discriminate against religion, geographical location, gender, age, sexuality. As long as one has internet connection, a smart phone, can read and write and is curious to know Bitcoin, they'll find it and learn know as much as they desire. I won't be surprised that native tribes in the Amazon forest have heard or know about Bitcoin if they have the two qualities/characteristics already described.

It's not actually a new thing mate. A lot of persons much have heard about Bitcoin from someone or somewhere online and since Bitcoin has Being a life changer for so many early investors, alot of these people have spread the word through what they have been able to accomplish over the years. I'm most countries some have heard but don't actually know what it can do or even how to use it. The rate of adoption is still growing though so I believe that with time, they will get to know more about Bitcoin and consider investing on it.

Well, it's a bit contradictory if you said that bitcoin is known all over the world when you're a newbie, that's bound to happen that you know of things or not know of things when you're a newbie in something, you're supposed to not know anything about that so it's really something that's obviously going to happen to you. Now that you know of how widespread the renown that bitcoin has, I think that should tell you something about how good of an investment and currency bitcoin is, it's something that you should talk about your friends with, this is an opportunity of a lifetime and people will tell you that it's too pricey right now but in the near future, you will not be saying that because bitcoin is a long-term investment and a present full of doubts is going to be filled with a future of regrets that you didn't invest right now.

Remember to learn how to DCA with your investments though, it's always smart to invest but even smarter when you time and manage how you invest, DCA is pretty easy, at it's most basic, it's buy low, sell high but there's some carefulness and timing surrounding it.

A smartphone and an internet connection are only what anyone needs to learn anything in the world. It seems crypto awareness has increased this year in every corner of my locality people are either discussing crypto or tapping their phones to get some airdrop. However many of them don't have solid knowledge about Bitcoin because most of them see the sector as a get-rich-quick scheme. If you ask them simple questions about the industry, they don't know the answers. Most of these people in rural areas are cheap prey to scam projects.       

I feel like that's what you see :) of the positive that people's attention to bitcoin is. But I think the truth is that it is not too common in most places, maybe it is mentioned in the place you are talking about but it is only a rare story and there is no need to talk too much about its popularity.

But I admit that the acceptance of bitcoin is growing, but similar to many other things in life, there are different barriers to access, such as simply having the internet to use problems that cannot satisfy all needs.

You don't need to be surprised op because you saw people from the rural area discussing about bitcoin, most people in the rural areas are well informed and are affected by the economic hardship which is all over the world right now and some of them are taking advantage of the information they have heard about bitcoin to invest while they keep working and making arrangements for the good omen that will come as a result of their investment.

Personally, I know some youth in my village (rural area who are old time investors I don't know when they got the information but having a discussion with some of them you will be convinced to know that they are well informed about bitcoin than some of us in the city.

If it is about bitcoin being spread all over the world, it has, and people have known about it. The major problem people mostly face is lacking the basic knowledge of bitcoin, having nobody to properly educate them on the volatility of bitcoin, and what they shouldn't do or do when they invest in bitcoin.

Because of the lack of the aforementioned knowledge of people not knowing about bitcoin fully. you and I are then advised to help to spread the awareness of bitcoin to people who doesn't have basic knowledge of bitcoin but only know it by its name

We're living in a global era where Information spreads across the world much faster than most of us thinks. You could be surprised to know that someone in a remote African villages knows quite much about the US presidential election way more than the actual citizens and this is what the information age we're in has helped us to attain.

Anyone that has a mobile device and knows about financial system should have in one way or the other known about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The issue is that although Bitcoin has spread around the world, it hasn't gotten to a stage where you can easily transact with it in local market for so many factors. Business people don't HODL there money but rather prefer it to be in liquid and flexible form such that they can use it for business purpose whenever they want to. For daily business transaction, fiat does better job compaired to Bitcoin so although it has gotten to all the part of the world, it's not yet gotten to the position where it can become a legal tender that's usable for most business activities.

Good to see people are discussing it locally. Maybe they are thinking of investing but have no idea how to buy.

Been seeing some stores downtown having BTC-accepted stickers in front of their store. But when asked about it, they just said it was posted there by someone lol. There are a few who actually know BTC but not entirely, they just know it is a payment option.

Only a few people know about Bitcoin here in my area I know people know about Bitcoin and crypto but they experience losses that they thought Bitcoin would make them rich but the fact is they don't know much about Bitcoin. They know much about other altcoins like Ethereum it is one of the popular crypto here in my country during the pandemic because most of the P2E games are from Ethereum base compared to Bitcoin only 2 or 3 friends that I know knows about Bitcoin even they know bitcoin they are afraid to invest because of volatility.

I'm sure many people knows Bitcoin since it's always on the news and sometimes posted on facebook reels or in TikTok and Youtube but more people here in my country interested on P2E than Bitcoin.

Which is the power of bitcoin Many people will be aware of bitcoin, because the goodness of bitcoin benefits many people. Anyone who enjoys investing in bitcoin will want to tell others about his profits, and he will want to encourage others to invest and benefit from it as well. So I am not shocked that Bitcoin has spread over the world. Many people have heard about bitcoin, but some do not understand how it works and some do not have enough money to invest in it, This is why you may believe that people do not know about bitcoin since they do not have enough money to begin investing. Bitcoin will eventually be ubiquitous and everyone will want to receive and invest and be profitable. I'm seeing bitcoin prices dropping these days, so it's a good idea to invest now and leave it for the long term because some investors invest when the price is falling and buy for the long run.

The people in this village know bitcoins due to effort that some people put into trying to make sure that people around them know about bitcoins. If this people had not made the effort, maybe you would have been the only person in that village with the knowledge of bitcoins. We all have to keep making efforts to try make sure people get the right information about what bitcoin is because as much as you will like to think that bitcoin has spread all over the world, it has not, and there is still much to be done because there are still places in the world where people have never heard about bitcoins.

I think it is good that folks are discussing about Bitcoin, especially in rural areas.  No denying its catching on more and more, but we cannot forget it is not universally accepted yet. Good old cash is still #1 for most, especially out in the sticks.   

That said, prolly smart to keep the crypto conversations on the down low.  Some folks might wanna take advantage if they know you got skin in that game.  Not everyone's intentions are pure, so trust your gut if something seems off.

I have seen you post in the Nigerian local board so I believe you’re from Nigeria. With the level of enthusiasm Nigerians have shown for cryptocurrencies, it is not surprising that Bitcoin has reached even  the rural areas. I find it interesting that the farmers were open to accepting bitcoin as payment for their crops. To my knowledge, most of the farmers in the rural areas practice subsistence farming which makes me wonder if they make enough money from the business to invest in Bitcoin.

I understand your surprise to discover that knowledge of Bitcoin is spreading in areas you did not expect given that you are considered a beginner. But all the spread that you see is still limited if we take into account that only two countries in the world recognize Bitcoin as a legal tender (El Salvador and Central Africa) and that the major financial institutions do not officially support it. It is true that many exchanges that list Bitcoin and crypto have official activity licenses in many countries, but their services are still limited for traders and those looking for investment opportunities.

Recently, Binance exchange announced that it has more than 200 million users, which is considered a huge number of people registered on one exchange, but it remains a small number compared to the total number of the world’s population, although it indicates a significant increase in the number of crypto users globally.

You are probably new in this industry which is the reason why you didn't know that Bitcoin is known almost everywhere these days. We call it global adoption, we used to talk about this a few years back and speculate about when Bitcoin will have global adoption where almost everyone or people from every country or city in the world would know or at least have heard about it from somewhere and we are in that era.

This is going to increase over time, Bitcoin isn't going to stop. I know that it is already pretty widespread but in the coming days, it's going to be crazy because even kids and young guys would be discussing about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, and that time isn't far based on how quickly the world is getting engaged with cryptocurrencies.

You didn't mentioned from what country you are, but I will assumed that you are from African region? Because that's what I read though that Africans have been using Bitcoin a lot, although there could be governments around that continent that might resists Bitcoin.

So far the only country that makes Bitcoin legal tender is El Salvador under their President Bukele. But regardless, yeah, we don't have the numbers, but it seems that every year, there could be some growth rate as far as adoption goes and there are small nations that are either friendly or in the grey area as far as adoption goes. So still a win-win situation for us and maybe in the next 10 years we will see businesses, and institutions begin to use Bitcoin as a form of currency and or investment, or uses it's blockchain technology. Although there will be a lot of challenges, like regulatory and legal framework, but the future looks bright.

In an age of rapidly developing technology, everyone has a smartphone connected to the internet, so it's no surprise that they know about bitcoin. The important issue is do they know what bitcoin is? Do they know that bitcoin is a means of payment, an asset that can be used as a hedge against inflation, or do they just know that bitcoin is a get-rich-quick tool...? Similarly, in my area, even older people know about bitcoin, but in their eyes, it is just a get-rich-quick tool or related to ponzi projects. I think the fact that people know about bitcoin is not enough to say that it has become popular and mass recognized. Everyone must have a proper understanding of it, then we can be proud that bitcoin has spread and become popular.

knowledge about bitcoin is not something new now, there are many sources of information that people can use to learn about what bitcoin is and how it can benefit them.  but even so, bitcoin adoption is still a few percent of the total global population, it is not a large number, this is due to unclear bitcoin regulations in several countries and the problem of people's trust in bitcoin as an investment asset.  however, as information about bitcoin spreads globally it will also increase the number of bitcoin adoptions, and maybe we will be able to see how bitcoin can become popular like other instruments.

Yes, Bitcoin has gone round the whole world through the help of citizens and government that made it legalized to their citizens to have access to Bitcoin, because without government approved it to their countries, it wil not be easy for citizens to know Bitcoin easily in the various countries. Well how did you find out about bitcoin and this forum? The members of this forum alone can tell you just how much bitcoin has spread all over the world. We have multiple boards in here of different languages which should have told you how globally popular is bitcoin. 
Even though we know just how popular bitcoin is, it could come as a shock if we hear people around us talking about bitcoin. Since many people are still unaware of crypto especially in third world countries, it is understandable that there is still doubt of just how many people know about bitcoin

I also come from a 3rd world country and what I feel is that bitcoin is growing in those countries more than in developed countries. Because as you know, life there is extremely difficult due to inflation, and government corruption...people are always looking for solutions to escape those bad things so they will easily approach and accept bitcoins.
But there are still people's misunderstandings about bitcoin. Because people's lives are poor and ignorant, many people may fall into fraudulent projects labeled bitcoin, thereby having misconceptions about bitcoin.

You can also see that the most active boards on the forum come from third world countries rather than developed countries.

Why get surprised about that information? There are lots of media outlets are now tackling the idea or the existence of bitcoin so no wonder that Bitcoin fame spread all over the world. But the question remain on that is does the people who know about it have good knowledge about bitcoin or they just think about that this is another form of scam. Since we can't deny the fact that bitcoin education in the world lacks of exposure that's why there are lot of people still doubting to join and use bitcoin depend on their needs.

If government will just take a good action towards the adoption then maybe Bitcoin will be have a good use for people and they would not afraid to buy it since their confidence on this coin is so high. But we didn't reach unto that level yet and for me its still fine that they know the existence of bitcoin since maybe in future they will ride or participate on acquiring this then grab a chance to earn some for investing on this coin.

Even inflation and corruption are big problem for third world countries, how can they own Bitcoin if they're poor in the first place? Bitcoin doesn't solve their issues because they didn't earn much money and they will loss when they send their coins.

The reason why many users from third world countries are more active than developed countries because signature campaign, if the forum completely ban signature, I believe only users from developed countries can maintain their consistency.

Countries that used to hate Bitcoin and now like Bitcoin are of course due to quite clear evidence in Bitcoin itself through its continued development after 2009. Now the whole world has heard and knows about Bitcoin even though there are also people in certain remote areas who have not heard of Bitcoin, but in general Bitcoin has now been accepted by many parties and also many countries and other well-known companies. I agree, I have the same observations. I am from Ukraine and I can definitely say that bitcoin here is more needed than in some developed countries. For many people, me included, it is the only way to earn something for a living, because right now the situation is more than terrible and difficult, there is a war going on which provokes economical abyss. And thanks to bitcoin some of us have a chance not to work full time for $300 per month (in some peripheral areas even less), but earn more to have somewhat decent life.

Where I live, Bitcoin is still quite unfamiliar to hear about, maybe there are only a few people who can be counted on the fingers of someone who knows about Bitcoin and even then they are not fully invested. Social media is a source of information that is easily accessible and in other villages it is also possible to know about bitcoin. Plus, in my country Bitcoin is very welcomed by the government, even our newly elected Vice President is still young so he is very open to the potential of Bitcoin in the future. I think you're telling the real truth, even your government and vice president welcome Bitcoin usage, but it's still not enough to encourage the citizen to invest in Bitcoin. Many people still not familiar with Bitcoin and think Bitcoin is scam.

We need to wait at least next 20-30 years because most Bitcoin holders are young people, the naysayers are old people. If the young people turn older, they're investing in Bitcoin and they will teach their kids to invest in Bitcoin too.

Truly Bitcoin has grown so popular but I don't know if all the countries in the world have actually learned about it and however even if they do, not all the people that would actually accept it at the moment because they may not really understand how it works unless they have someone that would put them through and also I believe there are still countries that doesn't allow cryptocurrency in there country, so perhaps in as much as Bitcoin is very popular but there are still factors hindering the acceptance from everybody. However in some countries buying and paying through Bitcoin is very comon, so it could be that out of the love those people have on Bitcoin they are just trying to imagine or picture out how good it will be if transactions will involve the use of Bitcoin because I have actually seen people also talking about it and is actually fun because the love I have for Bitcoin whenever I go out and see people talking about it I derive so much joy fromfrom it.

It did spread a lot, and there are many places over the world. That doesn't mean that Bitcoin is widespread, though. It's more like sporadic global phenomenon. In my country, Bitcoin is pretty popular and occasionally you can see places where you can pay with it. But still, it's not like you can use it everywhere. Also, keep in mind that less than 5% of the world population use Bitcoin, and I think the share of those who actually use Bitcoin as money (not as an investment) is much smaller.

BTC is only banned in around 51 countries out of 195 so it is legal in 144 countries. Which indicates it is spread all over the world. As in these 51 if it's not legal it's not mean, people there don't know about it. They are involved in crypto but due to no law, they are doing it with precautions. Overall BTC word must have gone into the ears of every second person in a every second country. Its a good thing for all of BTC lovers.

And from the story of yours, I can say your country is one of these 51 that did not allowed crypto as if it would have then you won't have to care about if these 2 dudes will turn you in just because you own, or love BTC. Pre-caution is necessary and important but if they are farmers and living in your country then you don't have to manifest that much like a film scene that they might be an agent of government that there neighbours or relatives won't even know that he is one. Be realistic.

Bitcoin adoption is still pretty low in the world compared to number of people living on it. Bitcoin must be indeed everywhere, in every countries, but I fear the number of individuals adopting Bitcoin on each area of the world is scarce. We see the price of BTC skyrocketing to new a new ATH, but it's not exactly due to adoption increasing, but due to the whales acquiring even larger amounts of Bitcoin each new day.

Bitcoin is still heavily concentrated on the hands of big players, while most people in the world doesn't even care about acquiring it at all. That is sad, but real.

 It's one thing to be spread and another to be adopted. True, Bitcoin had gained popularity and hit the nooks and crannies of the world but adoption rate is not so widespread. You should know that people have the right to choice and while bitcoin has presented an opportunity for individuals to carry out their transactions without the supervision of banks or government authorities and the rest, you find that there are still those who choose the traditional way of banking and will be ready to defend their choices any day over Bitcoin.
 While we know it's not everyone that's supposed to like or choose Bitcoin, it's a better option to fiat if you are a business man/woman or just an average user as it ensures faster and cheaper money transfers and it's decentralized nature doesn't collapse at a single point of failure, but people will still prefer to stick with the poison they know.

Well, I have been doing some online searches recently to see if there is any country out of the 195 countries in the world that is not yet aware of Bitcoin, but I have not seen any results for my search; rather, what I am only seeing is a result for countries where Bitcoin is banned or not banned, and it really makes me think that there is no part of the world that is not yet aware of Bitcoin, but I am not totally convinced. 

I heard that there is one country that doesn't put on clothes; they are always necked and only use animal skin to cover their private parts, just like in the Stone Age. If there is truly still such an underdeveloped country, I doubt they would be aware of Bitcoin. 

The truth is that the knowledge of Bitcoin has really spread to a lot of countries and regions of the world now, compared to 2009, when it just got developed. 

I will not surprise again if I see something like that bro, just that I thought, the rural areas never heard about bitcoin which was the reason I was surprised, but right now, I will not be surprise.

We have seen a lot of people talking about bitcoin and have interest in them. Those in the rural and urban areas have heard a lot about bitcoin and are really interested in it. The most common people have been discussing about bitcoin and the mass adoption of bitcoin we have seen in the recent years prove that bitcoin will become a widely use cryptocurrency and will have a very big significant influence in the financial sector. I don’t live in a rural area but those that live in the village where I come from are conversant with it because they are literate and have gone to school, so they know the benefit of cryptocurrency, so it is not something surprising from my side.

At this stage in which we are in the world, technology has taken over and as such, we are in the digital age so I think you should not be surprised to see your village people having discussions over accepting Bitcoin and using it for payment as well. It is true that Bitcoin  is fast gaining traction in the world but I still believe there are still places that are yet to hear about Bitcoin but I believe most cities are already in the know of Bitcoin existence.

Most countries are beginning to see the importance of Bitcoin and have started adopting it while some are still on the verge of doing so and are trying to regulate it so they can be able to control it but one thing they forget that Bitcoin is people driven and there is nothing anybody can do about it. That is why most government are battling against it but I still believe it would get to a point where the people would no longer need the government approval to use Bitcoin they would start transacting on their own ignoring government laws against Bitcoin.

As a Bitcoin enthusiast, it should not be a surprise to you anymore that countries have started adopting Bitcoin as a legal tender because that has always been what the Bitcoin community envisaged long ago and it is beginning to turn into reality.

I will agree to this. People are certainly not naive anymore about bitcoin, because as long as they have time to access the internet, they will definitely come to cross about bitcoin and recognize it. Although some would find it negatively due to what their government is doing against bitcoin, but the fact remains that everyone today is now aware about bitcoin, and it will definitely spread out faster when bitcoin promotion will end up successful.

Of course, If you believe in the change and evolution of current civilizations, then you must also believe that the currency that is popular today will surely gain popularity in the future. Bitcoin did not have such popularity at the beginning of Bitcoin's discovery by Satoshi Nakamota, but today Bitcoin has become the number one popular digital currency in the world. The current very high price is also clear proof that bitcoin has a large community and is much needed. In fact, in the city I live in, very many ordinary people discussed bitcoin when it was hype. This means that they also find out about bitcoin and are interested. So, I think this will apply to all countries that can access the internet.

It is not a new things mate, knowing bitcoin is not just talking about bitcoin but transacting with bitcoin makes you more conversant to bitcoin. If actually those local traders know the transaction fee attached to using bitcoin for transactions, they will know that bitcoin is not used for minimal transaction. Meaning the transaction fee per transaction of bitcoin is too expensive to use as a petty trader. What if a local trader want to buy something of $10? Definitely it wouldn't be possible because bitcoin minimum amount to send should not be less than 0.0012 BTC.

Apparently bitcoin transaction should be for a serious expensive business not for petty traders except USDT is used for the transaction or TRX which will be later converted to bitcoin if they received it.

Regarding the popularity of bitcoin, I am pretty sure that it is present in 195 countries worldwide but that doesn't mean everyone knows about bitcoin. There are many people who don't even care about it and don't want to know what it is and that's normal. I have a few relatives in the city, they are all state officials, have stable income and large assets. One time I asked them about bitcoin, they didn't even know what it was and had no intention of learning about it.
Bitcoin has become popular all over the world but it depends on each person's needs, depending on the area they live in, not everyone knows and cares about it.

Bitcoin has been spreads in many countries but still many people doesn't knows what is Bitcoin and how to use Bitcoin properly. If you see some people make a transaction and pay using Bitcoin while Bitcoin is legal in your country, that will be a good to see that things happens to other people. But we know that many people out there still doesn't knows about Bitcoin.

People still needs to gets educate more about Bitcoin so they can use Bitcoin. If they can't use Bitcoin for the transaction, they can use Bitcoin for the investment. That will helps them to make a profits from the Bitcoin investment.

Honestly, it’s not surprising that everyone is already aware about bitcoin since majority can easily access the internet nowadays even in rural areas. But believe me, if you ask them to give its description or tell us how it can be utilized, they have nothing to say, because all they know is that bitcoin is a get rich quick tool that’s why a lot are very eager to have it.

Even in our own province, bitcoin is already patronized online. But still, a lot of the people here are not really aware how to take advantage with bitcoin, all they know is that bitcoin is more like a Ponzi scheme that attracts big time investors.

There are several persons out there who would want to adopt Bitcoin but they can't because of the restriction set by their government on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a great invention and the masses are beginning to see the importance of Bitcoin but the resistance created by the government has been their lost of interest, but with time and good governance more persons will begin to adopt, once they understand that Bitcoin is a great solution to inflation. However I believe with time more persons and government will accept Bitcoin like El Salvador did.

If there is a part of the world that does not know about Bitcoin, it could be a place where there is no internet.  The information of Bitcoin being spread that fast is due to the internet and at the same time the advertisement created on social media platforms.  And also the tri-media is involved in spreading news about BTC regardless of being negative or positive helps in proliferation of information about Bitcoin.


True it is possible that news about Bitcoin hasn't reach this kind of community but I doubt that the country has no news about BTC, it might be a secluded place in a country but a whole country? I doubt that their leader doesn't hear about BTC.


Of course, it has been more than a decade since the creation of BTC, it is obvious that as time pass by,  the places that are reached by the news about BTC have progressed a lot.  Even the companies that integrate Bitcoin also increased in numbers and can be found in different places and countries.

You don't need to surprised how news are carrying circulating bitcoin all over the world, especially the third world country and some of them do hear about bitcoin through local news channels such as radio, TV and some social media platforms. The youth of nowadays is active on social media including some of the artist involve bitcoin in their musical rhyme to suit their flow, with all this bitcoin kept waxing every day by it users and for you to hear the news in your village shouldn't be a thing if surprised because through these things I have mentioned could convey the news to your people over there.

This is not a new thing seeing bitcoin discussed in the village. Many people in the world today know very well about bitcoin, but their main problem is the government. Regardless of how they hear about bitcoin as a currency and the freedom it gives to people, there are two things that discourage many people at the time, especially people doing business and wanting to save money. These two things are:

1: the risk Once they know about the bitcoin risk, they won't believe in it again because they are not ready to lose money in it; they only wish they could save money in it and are not ready for investment. Although they like it based on how it is, they cannot hide the risk behind it.

2: The government Many people are neglecting bitcoin because they are afraid of the government since they refuse to accept it as legal tender. They feel that using it will cause them harm, and they also feel that after they start using it, the government may come over to them. 

Bitcoin has existed more than a decade, so expect that by now, majority of the people have already known about bitcoin. Although not all of them are actually educated about it, but at least they know that bitcoin exists. With the help of internet, Bitcoin has been spread all over the world, knowing that it's always hyped in the social media most particularly when it comes to getting rich quick, even if in reality Bitcoin is not capable to make us rich instantly.

I don't know why you are surprised about meeting people who were talking about bitcoin.  Bitcoin is everywhere and known very well, their is no social media that bitcoin is not mentioned. Even in the village I don't think the name bitcoin will be strange to anyone, some people may not have a full understanding about bitcoin but the understanding of bitcoin being a currency is their. It wad sometime ago that bitcoin was still uncommon currency to people in the rural areas or any other area.

In my country, Bitcoin is not legal tender and it is even prohibited to use Bitcoin as a means of payment. However, here, Bitcoin is legal as a commodity asset. So it is very natural for trading or investment or anything related to crypto projects. So actually it's no surprise if one day I meet random people everywhere who are talking about Bitcoin or crypto trading and the like.

At first I was a little surprised to find someone opening a trading application (I'm sure it was a local exchange in my country, I glanced at it from the side), while at a bus terminal. But as time goes by, it seems to have become normal.

However, strangely, even though it is quite familiar here, most people still hide our activities in crypto, including me, in fact no one seems to know that I am also active in crypto, and I also don't know if other people are also active in crypto. Because indeed, even though we are familiar and often have conversations, so far, there has never been a conversation related to crypto.

I don't usually talk about bitcoin or crypto currency to someone that I don't really know, or if a certain person or friend of mine doesn't know or have an interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrency, then I would not talk about it. So it's normal for the OP to feel that way, to feel surprised, or the important thing is that you could now meet someone frequently who has knowledge and interests in bitcoin stuff. Bitcoin now is truly in another league, many populations now aware of its existence but sadly just a few people has the guts to risk on it.

Bitcoin hasn't reached the nooks and crannies of the world just yet. I won't even wanna sight an example on people too far away; There's a very dense forest, with big community after the interior part of home town where people don't even use cell phones, neither do they speak/understand any foreign language or copy any lifestyle, tradition and mode of dressing from the rest of the neighborhood. They're not bushmen, but they haven't been introduced to a more civilized way of adaptation in this economy - all they understand is MANUAL LABOUR.

Bitcoin is yet to complete it's mission to those that would adopt it but haven't been in leamlight; mind you, it wasn't made for everyone as most people enjoy being in slavery

They are poor, but that does not mean they are so poor that they cannot meet their living needs and do not have money to invest. Poverty here means that they cannot have a high income and a better life than developed countries, not that they are so poor that they have no food . Additionally, if you regularly watch the news , you will see that countries with high inflation are also more likely to accept and use cryptocurrencies than developed countries despite government bans.

I just took our forum as a small example, and if you use other social media platforms , you will also see the rate of cryptocurrency usage and participation from 3rd world countries still very high .

if not for the government i think by now even the little ones would've heard about Bitcoin, not just globally but also the individuals and all marketers, local businesses woman, all traders would've operates in Bitcoin but the government don't really wants it that way. But I believe in the future Bitcoin will conquer the world 🌎, and also get Centralized with the banks.

Yeah, the same thing I was about to say but this was still valid for the newbies here in the scene. They can be the people from farther areas where internet connectivity is less or simply poorer areas. Then there are also people who have an idea what Bitcoins are but refuse to join it early.

Good thing that they still changed their minds later on. Old or new investors, it was indeed that BTC have changed many lives already. Who would have thought of this, right? Some like to keep their life and achievement a secret. They might be doing this for security purposes, so I won't hate them but we are more glad or proud to those who help the adoption to grow bigger.

I am pretty sure that this is one of the main reasons why people invest into bitcoin as well, even if you live in a place like New York or London where the whole world knows the cities and tens of millions of rich people live there, we could still be aware that a small cities with a hundred people knows about it as well which makes us invest.

If it has spread this much, that means that we have people who are aware of it and not investing, there are a billion people out there who may invest into bitcoin one day, and I think that is the point of bitcoin's future and why we are investing. We believe that there are so many retail investors that can join, and of course some corporate ones too, and we just need to invest right now and wait for them, because when they join, they will make the price reach moon.

Not sure that's true. Almost certain it's not. I've worked and lived in many of the most remote villages in the world. Where it's not smartphones but regular phones that people have, if at all. In these places, it's GPRS you can hope for at best, so SMS money payment/transfers work best. 0 fees and the ability to do micro transactions.

Talking about 0.1 cent payments for a sachet of iodised salt, or shampoo, or chlorine. 0.01 cents for matches. These aren't even amounts you could pay with Bitcoin, as you'd need to send 1 satoshi or even sub-satoshi payments with LN.

I'm pro Bitcoin. Love it. But I also live in reality. And a big part of the world still lives in a removed reality where Bitcoin is not (yet) practical.

Because nowadays many people are covered online but they are not spread among the uneducated, those who are educated and updated nowadays are the only ones who know about this Bitcoin. But the countries where Bitcoin is illegal are hidden from the locality, and are secretly using Bitcoin.
