Title: I Found A Cool 10-Year Old Video About Bitcoin / With Physical Bitcoin In It!
Post by: Eclipse33 on July 05, 2024, 10:24:42 PM
Title says it all.

There is a guy in the video talking about his scheme to create physical bitcoin that are cheap and easily redeemable.

I feel as if nothing has changed in 10 years since this news report aired. Bitcoin still remains largely a niche, odd hobby.

This RT report was aired when one bitcoin was aproximately $70.

Please enjoy and let me know your thoughts.

Also advisable to download and backup this piece of bitcoin history.

Eclipse - Anyone know if this qreb.it project ever got off the ground?

I would say while it is a niche - it has definitely grown - both as a currency and as physical collectibles - look at all the new makers in the past 2 years - there have been several. I also think there is quite a bit more room for it to grow further - leaps and bounds further.

It’s not easy to find something I haven’t already sniffed out yet, and I love that you have. Thanks for sharing!

Well the brass coin is no doubt a Casascius knock off. Probably should be added to Cas thread @krogothmanhattan ?

Anyone recognize seeing it before? I’ve seen similar coins. Perhaps even the same one, will have to run through my posts on the Fake Cas thread.

How about the silver coin I circled , any guesses?

Due to the low resolution of the video, I would say that is a real Cas coin
They also show off a silver 1 btc Cas...
The coin you circled is a Cas aluminum blank/DIY

The Cas coin they show a few times is still loaded! :D

Shit I think you’re right. I saw one thing though during the video that made think that, and just hard to see with the low resolution. Most likely a Cas though, good call.

As for the circled coin , it looks to thick and shiny to be an aluminum Cas..if you look a bit closer …I could be wrong again but .,
