Hi Folks,  please can I ask which uk crypto exchange has the lowest fees for buying ( not trading) Bitcoin only. Kraken pro ? Many thanks

I have read that Kraken withdrawal fee is cheap but I have not used the exchange before. I do not know about the trading fee.

I prefer to use OKX for bitcoin withdrawal. I think OKX is allowed in UK?


But if you are not the person that trade often but in just few time and you want your coins to be in your wallet after each trades, you can use http://exch.cx/. The exchange also support lightning network.

For small amount and if you are willing to use lightning network.  Binance, BitMart, OKX, Kucoin, Bitget and some other exchanges have lightning network payment.

I think OP is looking for fiat exchanges, and not crypto ones. I'm not sure that the ones you mentioned are considered as great exchanges "for fiat"? compared to Kraken, Coinbase, or CoinCorner (UK based). I think a few of them no longer support UK either (after the new regulations pushed by the goverment).

The trading fee on Kraken is 0.25% to 0.40% (https://www.kraken.com/features/fee-schedule) (for maker or taker). The withdrawal fee is 0.0002 BTC (https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000767986-Cryptocurrency-withdrawal-fees-and-minimums).
If you deposit 1000 GBP, that means a market buy costs you 4 GBP in trading fees. You'll get about 0.02259 BTC, after withdrawing you'll have 0.02239 BTC in your wallet.
Total cost for 1000 GBP: 0.4% trading fee and 0.9% withdrawal fee. The withdrawal fee gets relatively cheaper when buying larger amounts. For small amounts, withdrawing costs a large percentage.

I don't know about the exchanges that are available in the UK, but it could be quite helpful in zeroing down an exchange that happens to be accepting UK residents that offers the lowest/cheapest fees.

If Cryptowisser.com and Exchangewar.info websites can not help you, you can find more from Coinmarketcap.com or Coingecko.com. Search with exchange name and get basic information includes fees.

I think there will not be a big difference in trading fees between exchanges because most exchanges compete with each other to attract more users. If an exchange sets trading fees too high compared to the general situation, it is no different than they are trying to scare away their customers. Instead, I think you should focus on finding and using top reputable exchanges to ensure safety when using. If you focus too much on finding exchanges with low trading fees, you can easily fall into the trap of unreliable or even fraudulent exchanges.
