Title: What’s your favorite market to bet on for football matches?
Post by: Phu Juck on July 23, 2024, 03:05:34 PM
Sports bet is a big opportunity in Gambling to score a speculative profit because for Sports bet, we can create a very good strategy to earn a profit from. Of course, as well it always needs luck for us to happen and to generate a profit.
It is a wide range of markets to bet on and we will have a possibility to make a personalized strategy for whatever market will be available, so our chances are pretty good to find a bet of value and to score a profit from sports bets.

1x2 bets

1x2 bets are generally very popular because it’s a very easy bet to bet on. We can bet on home teams, away team and a draw, where no team will win:
1 means home team will win
x means a draw will happen
2 means aways team will win

Over / Under / Asian Total

We can bet over or under number of scored goals. Over / Under is also very popular because betting how many goals are scored is always a good bet.
We can bet on whole goals or we can bet on splitted goals, it is called Asian Total and it’s also very popular because we might bet more precise on how much goals will be scored to generate at least a little profit, when our predicted total goals are close to what score has happened.

Corner kicks

Betting on corner kicks is also an available market but it is a bit riskier because corner kicks are just a side-product from when a ball is deflected and going out goal-side. Corner kicks are not generated by a team on purpose, it’s just a side product.
When a team concedes a goal and it’s resulting in one team is now forced to score a goal to equalize, it can be a good strategy to bet on corners from which team has now to attack, as it will result in more corner kicks for an attacking team, when shots on target are getting deflected.
So, betting on corner kicks can be indeed a strategy to score a profit from gambling.

Cards

Cards are also a popular market to bet on. We can bet on how many cards a football match will have, which team will collect most cards, and if a red card will be shown.
Especially, for very contested games and games, where very aggressive players are playing, it can happen to see many players get carded, where a referee really gets angry and he distributes so many cards. For such games, we can score a profit to bet on an cards over.
Or oppositely, in a very friendly game, cards can happen to be very absent and not much players will be carded, where an under bet on cards might be our selected bet.
It can be a good market for us if we have a very contested or very friendly game and we might be able to place a bet on many or only very few cards to be shown in a match.

Penalties

Penalties can happen any time a player gets fouled too close to his opponent’s goal. And we can bet on it, if a certain team is awarded a penalty or if it will score from a penalty.
A bet on a penalty is also considered risky because it does not happen very often to get a penalty.

Player to score a goal

We can also bet on a specific player to score a goal. It might be profitable, if a player is known to score at least one goal and we can make a profit to bet on him to score a goal.

More bets

I’m pretty sure for famous football games, we have even more markets available to score a profit from. If you know one, which is not in my list yet, feel free to share it here.

If it's a game which is known to be hostile like a local derby, I will likely bet on the number of cards and if it's a game where I expect one team to play a low block I'll likely go with over a certain number of corners. This is how I adjust my strategy depending on the match and the circumstances.

I personally don't like to play wins or draws, but can do so depending on the game.

There are a few more; handicaps, BTTS, highest scoring halves, etc

I prefer first half win, 1x2, over or under 1.5 and 2.5 and handicap. What I will go for depend on the clubs or teams that want to play the match.

I saw penalties to have 1.2 to 1.3 odds. There are times that I go for it but not common.

I do not go for players to score, cards and corner kick.

My favorite is definitely "Over / Under / Asian Total". I like to bet on goals, I am simply more focused on goals than on who will win the game; for me, that is more exciting than other markets.

I have had some nice wins on "Player to score a goal"... Sometimes some players are really on a good streak, and it's good to place a bet on them to score a goal in any moment.

I have had a few bets on "cards & corners", but for me, that is a pure gamble... some players are really aggressive, and some teams have more than one aggressive player, but that doesn't have to mean anything.

Over / Under / Asian Total are my favorites in recent times out of personal experience which has proven to be quite effective. The Asian total is particularly my favourite. It is an improvement or upgrade from the over/under in which the betting options is limited. Asian total, gives me extra options it is either a partial win or refund. Using this option makes me lose less money if the outcome of my prediction is close to what I had predicted. My strategy has always been to bet on under 4 goals as I have noticed that if four goals are scored, I will get a refund from my initial bet and a fewer than four goals results in a win, while more than four goals equals to a loss.

I bet on players that will score and how many goals in the first half. I have won some little amount of money of only first half goals and also players to score needs you to know the player that is in his peak form and that is consistent in scoring goals. There are a lot of things to bet on sportbet and it is ikd fashioned to bet on who will win the game.

Win or draw is the most common one in which many gamblers win ensure to include on their games if they are playing more than one game, i mostly uses this format for my games while gambling, all because once i know about the strength and weakness of the teams involved, both the one i support and the one am betting against, i will easily understand and know the next step in action over the game and what may come out from the bet.

There is no option regarding Both Teams To Score above which is my favorite market when betting on football.
Betting on BTTS feels more exciting and tense when watching the live match and it's easier to predict, also we can win and get paid before the match ends.
Some sportsbooks also offer combo bet such as BTTS and Over/Under with decent payouts.

For me the options could be very various depend on the performance and the recent results of the particular teams but sometimes if i met the situation when the favourite teams playing against weak teams then i was pick 1x2 which usually bets on the favourite teams to win because for me this is safe bets and easy pick although the odds probably will be very low but i can accept that because that's easy money

But if there is any matches which from the teams conditions and the strength looks equal and the outcomes of those matches is hard to predicted usually i will avoiding to pick on 1x2 option because this is risky bets and if i met the situation like this usually i was very favourite to bets on both teams to scores but sometimes too bets on under or over

My best options are over 1.5, it means that the goals should be more than 1 goal, it doesn't matter which of the team wins or lose, it's just for the goals to be 2 or more. Reason why I prefer that option is because it's more safer than other options. IMO 2 goals are not that hard to score (but it's base on luck though). I prefer 1.5 option in a virtual games than live bets. The 1×2 option is a bit hard, I only bet on that option when I know that the team is better than the opposite with 80% rate.

For me, my choice will be made based on the game and the statistics that the two teams have, and also the odds behind them can be tempting.
If it is a game between two teams that are enjoying a good goal scoring form for example, betting on just home/away win may not be the best choice when you can bet on over 1.5, or 2.5 etc, with a better odd.  If it is two teams struggling to score, betting on a home/win /draw can be a simple choice. So it depends on certain situations for me.

To make my list of games I do select about 1x2, under/over, also goals, like away team to score first or home team to score this options are what I do select to make my comprehensive list. Although most times those options goes off from like sometimes it doesn't work as selected, that is why it called game of chances or probabilities meaning it must not go as planned.
Some days I am always moved the go with home or away but most preferred ones is Over/Under after doing my analysis for the games.

When comes to betting on football, I like to go with the classic 1x2 kind of bets, they are rather simple to understand and more straightforward than the other types of bets you have mentioned.
It is because I don't consider myself to be good enough yet to predict so many specific things which could happen during the match, like some of the teams getting a card or some star player scoring an specific number of goals before the time is up. I consider the kind of bets to be a completely different league and not suitable for people who just want to casually bet now and then in the most important leagues or tournaments.

Me too my best option ranges from 0.5, 1.5, 2.5 goals also 1x or 2x because this option are so easy to predict than predicting a direct wining and the opposite wins but playing a double chance game gives you a more winning option. Like playing home win or draw and away win or draw so if the desired team does win and it ended with draw it gives a win there. Also the 0.5 to 2.5 option is another prediction strategy that help to reduce the risk of lose, because it is easy to predict the goal to be score by both teams than only relying on a particular team to score the Total goals. But in all the lower the risk the lower the odd but the higher the risk the higher the odd. The only thing that baffles me is that even though you combine the least options, you will still lose.

The quality of the teams that are playing determines what I will play, if it's two strong teams that are playing together in a competitive tournament, I will stake that thier will be more than one goal in the match. It's been the most reliable stake I've made most often and it has never failed all that much. Sometimes if you're not being greedy and you just stick to smaller odds and just make simple bet you're certain has a high probability of playing the way you've stacked it, you will win more than you loose in your gamble.

Like in the match that Manchester City played yesterday, a simple over 1.5 win give you a Smooth win but because you're following after a bigger and better odds, most persons would want to stake that man city would win that match which is just an ideal thing any person will think but they ended up losing.

I prefer goals as well because he can somehow estimate how many goals the match would have in terms of their lineup and statistics from previous matches. You could easily check as well the previous matches if they went against the same opponent so maybe you could estimate somehow the amount of goals that could be done on the game.

I usually considers goal goal + over 2.5 as my best strategy to secure winning.
I do make this choice when two good team are to meet because there are usually chances to score and probably three goals and above is usually possible.

I think going by your title and post, this is rather options in betting on sports games especially football and or strategy. However, I don't see one perfect option that will guarantee consistent turn over or profit. Betting is what it is, a little profit here and loses there, hence the reason to bet as you can bear.

Thus, like you have listed some options, some gamblers are comfortable with certain options above the other. Like I prefer ove 1.5 over GG ( Goal Goal, meaning both teams to score). GG for me is risky because a team can score all 3,4,5 goals in a match while the other couldn't produce any. So I better prefer the less "evil " with smaller odd than going for the riskier. However, GG is not represent in your options and it is important for many gamblers who like it over 1.5 because of the higher odd.

I also like 1x or x2  ;D, probably is better taking smaller risk.

The market I’ve had the most fun with over the years is Both Teams To Score accumulators. I do one every weekend when the English football calendar season running.

I tend to find that the leagues below the Premier League tend to have more goals, probably because the quality of defending is low.

There are still many other markets which are not on your list, because there are so many markets we can bet on football match.
In general, there are some categories and each category contains so many markets.
The main categories are usually:
  • Main: 1x2, Draw no bet, Double chance, Halftime/Fulltime, Correct Score, etc.
  • Half Time: contain almost the same as the Main category
  • Goals: BTTS, Odd/Even, total for a team, winning margin, etc
  • Asian Lines: Asian total, Handicap, etc
  • Goalscorers: 1st, anytime, last,
  • Combo/Special: combination between 1x2 and over/under or other combination

Over 0.5 is also a good option but the odds are too small for my liking so I prefer to use the over 1.5 option. The reason why I choose that option is because I can accumulate like 2 odds total and stake with 100k (naira) just to win 200k (naira).

I don't know to what extent it's true but 1x2 markets are reputed to be the more paying ones, that is to say with the higher RTP. Bookies need to offer interesting odds in order to attract new customers and to keep the olders. And 1x2 are easily watched and tracked by comparators, and by customers when they look at the main pages of soccer matches on bookies, more than other markets at least.

All options are good depending on the past history and records of the team and club, most times when picking I do give Home win or Away depending on both club playing.
Sometimes I will give according to the goals and this most be if their previous goals was above what I expected or are often scoring higher numbers then I will have to select by that, I don't have specific option to bet the market.

I've been taking part in sports betting activities for enough time now and I can say that it's profitable for only those who understand the games properly. When you're properly sure about the game and about the teams that are playing that game then most of the times you can win the bets.

However, if you only rely on your luck by betting in favor of your favorite team then your chance of winning that bet can reduce to a large extent. That's why I believe one should always bet in favor of the stronger teams or avoiding betting in some matches.

The asian totals are slowly becoming my favorite recently because you can buy or sell half a point similar to asian handicaps depending on your gut feeling, and there are lucky moments where you could be winning your bet before half-time.

Despite the similarity between the asian handicaps, i'd always avoid those in football as the favorites likely play down to the level of their opponents.

Usually I prefer to bet on 1x2, Over/Under/total Asia, odd/even, BTTS. Depending on the club that will play if it is difficult to guess who the winner is usually I prefer to bet on BTTS combined with Over/Under (multi bet) but if it is easy to guess who the winner is I prefer 1x2 but if it is easy to guess usually the odds are very low but it is not too risky but sometimes I still add other options to get bigger profits which of course are not far from my favorite market as I mentioned above.

What I often choose in soccer betting,

  • Asian Total
  • BTTS (both teams to score)
  • Asian Handicap

Sometimes I also choose the build bet option to get bigger odds when the match is my favorite team by combining several options such as Asian Total, BTTS, corner kicks etc.

Regarding corner kicks, there are actually few bettors who choose this option. Even though this option actually has high odds just like Asian total.

There are more betting options and of course everyone will have their own favorites to make it easier to win, but every gambler also has their own way of predicting and analyzing what is worthy and has big chance of winning.

I personally much prefer betting on 1x2, double chance and also the number of goals because this is the easiest to bet on and also means I don't have to think about complicated analysis in predicting, I can easily choose the winning team and this also minimizes failure.
But still, usually all of this will give fairly small odd if the top team only meets weak team and has to use more money in order to have comparable win.
It just that whatever the betting choice, we still have to continue to observe the progress of the match and if there are several things that could appear to cause us to fail, we must be able to take precautions such as making cashout if there is one.

Over or Under.

I am not watching football games but it's easy to have an idea of the total score by using game history as a reference to predict the match's score. This is a great option for those who don't have the time to watch the game but can still participate in betting. As long as there's a history of both teams who played with each other, it's possible to make the right choice. The only thing that I don't like is when the game ends with a draw scoreless although it rarely happens in professional leagues.

I think the hardest one of those choices is to predict the player to score a goal. It pays well but it's likely to lose.

1x2 bets

1x2 bets are generally very popular because it’s a very easy bet to bet on. We can bet on home teams, away team and a draw, where no team will win:
1 means home team will win
x means a draw will happen
2 means aways team will win
This is my call in sports betting and has been a very good decision for me to keep me focused and avoid the greed of wanting to bet everything which causes most mistakes of sports bettors. It is the simplest form of betting which may not give much money unless we combine games, nonetheless, it gives better hope if one can plan it well. In my case, I make sure that I bet the tickets independently so that if one ticket is cut, others may still be there for me and I must say it has been a huge saving grace.

Mind you, I do not go for x at all, I like to be decisive in this style, it is either I pick 1 or 2 and it has always been a good experience. Unfortunately, all my friends that I introduced this simple and conservative approach to always see it as a childish way of betting. They continue to bet without having anything to show for it, unlike me who has enough to show for it. I guess that settles it, but still, greed will not let them see it that way, they always want more.

I'm not really with football mqqtches that much but when I do, my bet is always with which team will win. Odds aren't that high unlike with other betting categories but for me it is less complicated as well to guess, and that works best for me. I also never experienced betting on draw because it rarely happens with matches but odds are big on this which is why it is tempting to some bettors. I'm more with basketball matches and that is where I am experimenting with odds and bets. Familiar with bet builder? Or having mixed predictions targeting different game or plaayer statistics. The reason why I don't do the same thing in football is because of overall game knowledge and confidence; since I'm more familiar with players in Basketball, I am able to embrace bigger amount of risk in terms of odds.
Indeed depending on player's preference. It is choosing what would work best for you although some people are just randomly placing bets and just embracing their luck for the outcome.

1x2 bet is always my worst choice because draw always destroying my prediction. I’m not a solid fan of football but I love watching it on world cup tournament or Olympics.

Betting over/under or handicap bet is my favorite because it’s much easier to create predictions by just knowing who’s the upper hand to determine what type of bet to choose.

I occasionally bet on first player to score or a certain player to score anytime which gives a huge odds even with high caliber player like Haaland and Mbappe.

I prefer to use 1x2 bets, directly on potentially winning match results, it's much easier and simpler in my opinion, either a win or a draw we can choose for the match, would be even happier if there is a losing option, such as placing a short/sell trade on the trade. LOL

In addition, if with other betting options on soccer, such as cards, goals, corners are optional for me, it will only be done if I feel confident and want to try it because it is very difficult to predict, even a few times trying 1 in 10 I was able to guess correctly, of course it is a bad thing to determine the number of events on the type of bet in the match, but if it is correct, the reward must also be big, and that might be interesting for most people to bet on that kind of thing.

I don't want to make things become complicated, so my favorite market are 1x2, both teams to/not score, and over or under.

I feel like corner kicks, cards etc are complicated, do people really care how many corner kicks and how many cards the teams got after the match ends? ???

Most people pay attention with the team who wins and some of them pay attention with the total goals.

Choosing player to score is really risky, the chance is low.

In my country, the most typical bet is 1x2 without a doubt. Famous La Quiniela (https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Quiniela_(Espa%C3%B1a)) is played since 1946 and it consists in a pool or combination of 1x2 bets of all matches in a week. Those lucky enough to guess all results become millionaires.

I personally prefer other bets, more rare but with higher odds, like for example specific assists and things like that, because they make watching the match more interesting to me.

We have a variety of choices related to odds for betting on sports or football, but all the options available are up to how we see, assess, study and research a match that we choose to bet on. from the long list you made, in fact, that the option is common to most bettors. based on what I know, the most common choice for betting is 1×2 or Handicap. this betting option is quite common for bettors, because it is quite easy for sports bettors.
as for other options, for example, cards, corner kicks and even penalties, are usually the options for gamblers who are really serious about their bets. I mean, when gamblers don't see the ideal option for them, then looking for alternative bets is the best choice. or another example, if a match gives too low odds, and the Underdog team is not ideal to choose in betting. then the Handicap option is an alternative, it can be for Under/Over, or which can provide a fairly profitable probability for the gambler himself. although, any option still has a risk.

For me personally, the betting options all depend on the match I choose. after going through a series of research and analysis, then looking at the options offered by the bookmaker. if all the options are too risky, then the option of both teams scoring can be an alternative. however, it all comes back to the odds given by the bookmaker.

My favorite selection is the over market and I prefer to pick this over all other options Because I feel it's more easier to play out compared to other ones,  I have tried straight win, win or draw and so on but the over market has more chances of playing out but it all depends on the teams you picked... I like making my selections from the Germany league and I don't just pick random teams, I carefully select teams that have scored in their previous games, then after that I'll also check the statistical view of both teams and the over 1.5 percentage... This isn't a perfect strategy but it's going to reduce your losses

On this regard, we can say that, it depends where the bettor is comfortable placing their bets with. Some bettors have their easy eyes on under/over. But some are having hard time when the betting line is about what team will have the first goal or both teams to/not score.
But for sure, the player who will make the first goal is quite hard for me as there are several athletes inside as your choices. So selecting one of them is quite hard and the odds are high.

My picks are always based on which clubs are playing against each other, how their present performance and pass match meeting has been in the past. That's what I check first before having my picks. Nevertheless, my usual picks are mostly on 1x2 or over 1.5, either one as the mind leads.

I prefer to keep my betting realistic and predictable  which is why I go for 1x2 bets most of the time. When I do analyze the previous statistics of both teams, I consider factors like the strength of defenders and attackers to get a closer idea for the number of goals. Occasionally I place bets on whether the total goals will be under or over a certain number but I do this rarely.
Sports betting and especially football is one of my favorite forms of gambling because it allows you to pick the stronger and favorite team depending on the previous matches of the same team and not algorithms. You can place a bet, enjoy the game, and find satisfaction regardless of the outcome, and if you don’t win your bet, you can still enjoy the match itself.

Other betting options, such as the number of fouls, the exact final score, or yellow and red cards seem too risky and unrealistic for me, that’s why I never considered them as a good option.

In fact, there are so many betting markets in sports betting, and what you mentioned in the OP is just a few of the many options available in the sports betting market. But indeed, at least with the many options available it still does not make it easy for us to win in betting, because in betting it also  requires at least luck even though in reality it looks easy just about making an analysis of a match, but in reality it is not as easy as imagined. I personally prefer about the 1x2 option, over / under, both teams to score (Yes / NO), Asian handicap, double chance and maybe a few others, such as total corners, cards and I will just adjust what options I will choose in a particular match.

Even though nothing is always guarantee till the end of every match, for football betting every gambler always have a favorite team to win and at most times add it to win or draw gives more advantage and better chances of winning the bet, it also one of my best strategy among all of my other strategies but yet most times the assume weaker team ends up winning the most preferred team, there is no guarantee in gambling generally irrespective of your strategy or strategies, i usually say that the best we could only do is to do go about with all we can and allow luck to have the final say, as regards to winning or not

I have always preferred to the under options, a lot of people prefer to pick overs due to the fact that it's easy to achieve. I don't always get lucky with option but I think it's the safest to bet on. How do I carefully analyze These games? I just pick some teams from specific leagues like la Liga, Argentina, Brazil and so on, then I check the position of both teams on their league table before making my decision. It doesn't matter the option you pick there's nothing safe in gambling so it's very important that you always play safe and gamble responsibly

The idea of win or draw works but the odds are low. You have to include many games to get higher odds or you choose the low odds and stake a larger amount. The choice is up to us because the booker are smart enough and one way or the other they would want to win over the gamblers. There is assurance in any way whether we choose the odds we feel have much chance of coming out successful. Sometimes it is even the most difficult predictions that end up coming out well. I could remember one day in sports visual i just picked games randomly and staked. It came as a surprise to see that i had won such a huge amount in less than a minute. But I did that and wasn't expecting me to win and it just came.

I prefer 1x2 because I think the RTP is usually better than other markets. The 1x2 is the market displayed on main pages so it must be attractive.

The most varied bets are certainly the ones that provide the highest return and pay the best, as they are less sought after and it is much more difficult to predict the number of cards a team will receive than simply saying who will win, win or draw.
The same goes for bets on goals, corners and the like... the varieties are almost infinite and vary greatly from one site to another.

However, I tend to stick to the traditional and bet cautiously on these variations because I believe there is still a lot of manipulation. It is much easier for a player to force a yellow card than to allow his team to lose the game.

Personally, I prefer staking on 1x2, BTS or GG, over/under scoring under 20 mins, win either half and corners. They seem more realistic to me and more achievable.

When a much weaker team and a stronger one plays, I love predicting a goal to come within 20 mins and more corners since it's obvious the weaker team would do a lot of defending. Two strong teams always gets a BTS from me since predicting the winner is always a tough nut to crack.

I really don't have a particular market I can call favourite, I just flow with whatever I feel would be the outcome of the game. And whatever I decide to choose is completely dependent on the particular game I'm betting on, but I'm particularly scared of the 1X2 market option, I know it looks easier to just make a pick based on which team you feel is stronger or has more advantages than the other, but at the end, it's not always as easy as you may think as their are two more options to counter your chosen market, there's every tendancy for a draw or even the weaker team to beat the stronger one, this is soccer and anything is possible. So rather than the 1X2 market, I feel safer rolling with the double chance market, because that way I know there's only one option that's capable of countering my preferred choice, thereby increasing my chances of success.

For me sports betting have gone viral and also cut across many angles and perspective leading to massive Bookings and Usually my love for 1x2 bets is definitely unexplainable and have always loved this strategy of a draw draw against teams and it's being  a thrilling experience and great outcome, possibly I play a draw against the opponent teams  and sometimes an away match.so it's my favorite because betting on this is alot easier and you tend to bets on the particular teams you are proud of,tho for some reason i know how provoking having to bet on your favourite market can be and the game turns out to be the other way round but regardless there would be a positive results in the end.

I'm more conservative, I prefer to place bets on 1x2, betting either on a team's victory based on recent games, performances and expectations or on a draw if the teams have a dual campaign.

I think the other bets are riskier.  :o
