Sorry about the inconvenience the service outage has caused to you.

I don't think they are going to scam you. Perhaps they have a technical issue, they have had a few in the past few weeks, but the service has always gotten restored after a few days. Maybe you can give the support a few more hours to respond to the issue. This is what their representative in this forum said some days back.
1. We always respond support requests via email within 48 hours, but even if that time is exceeded, we never leave any exchange-related messages without a reply.

This is the ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577207

You will see my reply on the other thread as well. Follow what I posted there (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577207.msg64354938#msg64354938) to contact their exch support. I posted this post to let you know that if exch has solved the issue for you, you can edit this thread topic title and write [solved] so that anyone that visit this thread can know that the problem has been solved.

Are you sure that you used a real eXch website?
There are many phishing websites with different similar domains that scam people, and I always suggest confirming official website and using eXch onion link with Tor browser.
Bookmark links in your browser and never use g00gle search to find any service.

This is official links but you always verify for yourself:

It is clear that OP did not use the official site of exch and used one of the phishing sites, as he mentioned in his post in the following quote:

Just saw now … excx.ch scam site 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️
Unfortunately, no one can help you now, OP, in recovering the 50 LTC that was stolen from you, as the mistake you made came from your side. Perhaps someone sent you this phishing site, or you found it in a search engine or one of the fraudulent ads. Be careful next time and only use official sites.

I have now reported the phishing domain to the registrar Netim via this [link (https://www.netim.com/en/report-abuse)], and I hope the site will be taken down as soon as possible so that the scammers who created it do not succeed again. I hope you all do the same.

Good that you reported the site. From the exch official thread, paid2 posted that he reported the site also. Also some other people reported the site. The fake site has been taken down.

One of the important things to do is to use the original URL of a site. Scammers are using similar ones and clone the legit website in order to scam. It is good to avoid a scam like this.

To give more context --the way I understand it from reading both ANN thread and this one-- since OP's title is actually contain the correct and official site, the address OP accessed is not the one on his title, but rather excx.ch. They swapped the two characters, very easy to miss, and definitely a clever phishing idea.

@Baadcaptain111 Since you haven't actually used exch.cx and instead lost money via a fake website, it would be a good idea to rename your thread and lock it, as no one here can help you get your money back.

Yep, not a bad idea and its actually easy to miss it. All it takes is not being focused for a couple of minutes and your money is gone.

I only knew about this one. The TLD is confusing to be honest.

OP, how the hell did you end up on that fake exchange? Phishing scams are everywhere, but spilling the beans on how you got hooked might save others from getting burned.

I know crypto scams are running rampant on places like Telegram or email where anyone can reach out directly.  Its so important to double and triple check every site and link, even if it looks familiar.  And dont send your funds or enter your sensitive info unless 100% sure the site is the real deal.

OP edited the link and made it correctly, as everyone has said, he has been scammed by that fake exch.  :-[
And OP posted it to the official exch.cx thread admitting that he was scammed. I am sorry for your loss OP.

OP, how the hell did you end up on that fake exchange? Phishing scams are everywhere, but spilling the beans on how you got hooked might save others from getting burned.
I may take a guess that it's either searched through Google and the algorithm shows the fake website through search results or OP just took a guess for the website assuming that the characters were correct. With this, how scammers do their trick by replacing one-two characters of domains of the websites they copy.

He probably made a simple typo, which is so easy to make if you type hurriedly

You can see excx.ch vs exch.cx... Just a simple interchange of letters

I think there are more phishing domains that are similar to this. Unfortunately, someone will at one time fall for them if they are not keen and these scammers keep creating new ones.
