Title: [Pool] Hiveon scammers, please be careful
Post by: Zucca on July 26, 2024, 04:14:42 AM
I used to mine ETH with them back in 2020-2021. They had a minimum ETH threshold of 0.1 for payouts. When I started in 2020, reaching this threshold was easy, but by the end of 2021, it became difficult with my single mining rig. I stopped mining by the end of 2021 with a balance of around 0.08 ETH, hoping to mine the rest later. Then the merge came.

They closed the pool and allowed us to claim our unpaid balances, regardless of the amount. I tried to claim mine, but they required the IP address I used for mining (many months prior), making my claim impossible.

I contacted them by chat at the end of 2022, and they manually processed my claim, telling me to wait for the payment. Last year, I followed up because I hadn't received my payment, and they said my wallet was still on the list, with payouts being processed.

Today, I contacted them again for the same reason, and this time they told me my wallet was not eligible for payment. They first argued that I hadn't manually set a threshold for my payments, which indicated that the support staff were new and unaware of past processes. Then they claimed I didn't meet their terms and conditions, which state that balances can't be claimed after 6 months of inactivity https://hiveon.com/pool-terms/. These terms were added in 2023 (https://web.archive.org/web/20230201000000*/https://hiveon.com/pool-terms/).

When I pointed this out, they said I wouldn't get my ETH without providing a reason.

Despite still operating with other currencies, I strongly advise against mining with them, as they won't hesitate to keep your money.
