Title: Tradehill - No Currency, Help!
Post by: NeonFlash on December 19, 2011, 05:50:17 PM
Alright, I have been mining for quite a while. After collecting around 6.97 BTC, I decided to cash them out.

I have an account on Tradehill and I used the "New Sell Order" option on Tradehill. I entered the price I wanted and "unfortunately" chose USD from the drop down.

Now, after the transaction, on my "Dashboard", I can see the total amount as:

USD: 20.45

but I want to withdraw the money in INR currency to my bank account.

I went to the "Withdraw Funds" option on Tradehill and entered my bank account details and entered the amount as 1000.

Once I click submit, this is the error I get:

"You do not have enough INR available to withdraw 1000 INR! Only 0.00 INR available."

Doesn't Tradehill do the currency conversion and allow me to withdraw an equivalent of 20.45 USD to my account?

Please help here. How can I withdraw the amount in my currency? I think I just lost all the BTCs I have mined till date :(

If you can't convert USD to INR, trade your USD back to bitcoins and then choose the correct currency next time you sell them.

yeah I am going to do that. I am buying the BTC back with the USD I just earned.

however, I am confused about the "Bid" and "Ask" options.

I have entered the option to buy 5 BTC each @ 3.45 USD

and the Market Data shows:

Highest Bid: 3.43

Lowest Ask: 3.49

so, my understanding is that, since I have entered 3.45 which is more than the maximum customers are ready to offer, my transaction is still in the Reserved state and not completed.
