It’s been a while since I’ve offered a raffle so I thought I’d test the waters and see if this is still a fun thing to do.

THE PRIZE will be a 1oz silver round of your choice. I have a few different options for you all in great condition (Chinese Panda, BTC Binary, etc).

The Biggest Loser Raffle...
There is no fee to enter, but if you are selected as the biggest loser you are required to pay for the prize.  Due to shipping variances, this raffle will be restricted to continental US shipping addresses only.  If you would like to enter, please have a trading history with positive feedback and be ready to spend BTC and get nothing if you lose.  

2 blocks will be selected to determine the outcome.  The first block selecting the winner and the second block selecting the loser. The winner cannot also be the loser.  The winner will supply a US address and receive their prize once the loser has paid for it.  Payment will be made to: 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe

The cost to enter is a promise to pay $40 in BTC upon completion of the raffle.  Please select an open character below to particpate.

First off, I have said no lies about you. I have actually gone thru the data you provided (concerning the seats) and verified it was accurate and matched the figures you stated.

What I have said, is what pretty much everyone on the forum has said about your mining operation and your "seats" and about how you mismanaged/misused the forum funds.

Apparently, you are still stuck on the fact that you believe everything you have done to be right and that you are the benevolent giver to all.

BTW - I do not really want a slot - this was just to see if you still had me blocked :)

If this raffle fills up in the next 9 hours so we can do the drawing tonight, I will give away a free coin to someone in a new thread I start tomorrow (Hint: One of my 1oz of .9999 silver with some gold and a private key/hologram. Feel free to guess.).  Just to spice things up a bit and have some fun at my expense. :)

Looks like the demand for raffles isn’t quite what it used to be. I’ll give this another 12 hours to fill up and if it doesn’t I’ll try again another time. If anyone has any suggestions for what sort of fun they’d like me to help facilitate in here feel free to speak up. Maybe I’ll try and think up a new fun raffle idea.

It isn’t really a free raffle though. Someone is going to pay…

I guess it doesn’t make a difference really if we fill up or not. If there are no objections we could run it tonight with the entrants we have and ignore any open spaces, or I could switch it to selecting the loser first and allow people to do multiple entries, or I could just cancel it. Whatever you guys want to do. Let me know.

Hope you don’t cancel.  I like this idea and want to see how it plays out.

How are we feeling about this? I’m honestly going to forget this raffle exists if we don’t run it soon. I’d like to go ahead and run it sometime in the next day or two even if it doesn’t fill and ignore the empty spaces. If anyone doesn’t want to participate with the lower number of participants, let me know and I’ll remove you.

I vote we roll with empty spaces. Maybe announce a deadline? Seeing a date sometimes help people move along and make a decision on which ticket they want

Yes Palpatine. My intent will be to run this at my next convenience when I’m able to be around to watch the raffle unfold. I’m guessing (maybe) tomorrow night or more likely Saturday afternoon when more people might be around to watch. So consider this your warning. I’m expecting this will be done in the next 48 hours. If you’re on the sidelines the time to jump in is now. There will be no further warning.

I think the problem is not really about the demand on raffles but rather the continental restrictions set on this raffle.

I will be happy to join on this if you will allow users outside US to participate. We can use MJ services to ship the item outside the US and pay the cost(or maybe charge to losers). Nevertheless this is an interesting raffle since there’s already an element of gambling involved. Wishing to fill the spot sooner.

I interpreted the OP to mean that MJ is an acceptable shipping address. I don't see anything that indicates the winner has to be the one residing at that address.

Any US address is fine. I just don’t want to ship internationally or worry about charging shipping costs to an individual after the fact, or worse, raise the price for everyone so I can blanket cover all shipping possibilities. You can use MJ, your crazy aunt from the US’s address, a reshipping service… Makes no difference to me.

Edit: I was going to run it tonight but I can’t make back to back posts without one getting deleted. Soon…

Alright! Let’s do this! I’m selecting block #857269 as the winner of the auction and once a winner has been chosen (not an empty slot) the following block will select the biggest loser. As a way to make this a little more exciting for myself, I am also entering the raffle but with a catch. I cannot win, only lose. So if I win then it is considered an empty slot and goes to the next person. If I’m chosen as the loser, then I will honor the raffle and send the coin without receiving any payment.

I could always do another one if people want. I enjoy seeing people participate in things like this that actually involve the blockchain. It gives me warm fuzzy feelings inside. If people want me to do another one (this style or a different type) just say the word and I’ll be happy to do it. Fun and Bitcoin are a great combination.
