Ethereum prices have been dumping recently. Friends, let's discuss, will the price of ethereum be 3000 plus this month? Or how much could it be?

The price of ether is $2620 right now. Just $380 close to $3000. But the way market is right now, it would be difficult for ether to get to $3000. But I guess that you are holding it,m. It is better you do not sell but keep holding it because the bull market is not yet over. Even if ether do not get to $3000 in August, it will still later get to $3000 as bitcoin price will increase, ether is likely to follow.

This is very possible as long as we can have bitcoin cross the band of $65,000 in this month, ethereum can also perform the same and do wonderfully as expected, But if the market remains as it is for now, it may be difficult for us to see it go beyond the range it is currently, though there will always be more opportunity for the market in general to rise as well as it can also fall, we can by this expect more coming anytime from now if the market remains favorable for its rising.

It’s just 400$ away from 3000$ target price while this price was hit in multiple occasion last month. Now that Bitcoin is showing recovery by dumping below 50K few days ago so I’m sure that Ethereum can regain the 3000$ price quickly once the crypto price back to normal trading level.

We are talking about Ethereum here and not some random crypto which investors that wants to diversify will surely purchased some of this token for their portfolio. I just not sure if it can be achieved this month but all I can say is this target price is manageable with just one rally of Bitcoin.

That is only a 15% increase, so it is not impossible for such a price to be reached during the next weeks, however the market and the economy in general is not doing so well right now, thanks to all the instability that we are facing all around the world, so it would be better for you to become more conservative when it comes to your expectations regarding the price of ethereum, as even if on paper this seems like a reachable price, at the same time I think it could take us a few months for that price to be reached.

Lolz! You are praying for Ethereum to hit $3,000,000. Though I don't know when you started the investment but I don't think you will make profit from the investment. Because the transaction fee is very high that even you invest with $200,000 you can't make any good profit because the movement is very slow and add it to the congestion of the network. So if I were you, I would have invested in bitcoin or if it is altcoin, then BNB.
Ethereum will definitely hit the $3k but will your make any gain? That is the question others also asked.

This was the biggest dumping at the beginning of August, when the price of Bitcoin went from 70k to 49k dollars immediately all Altcoins started dumping several times including Ethereum. Now the price of ethereum coin is at 2620 dollars but bitcoin price has recovered so the price of ethereum coin will recover it is sure so it is not 3000 it can be up to 3400-3600 dollars.

It can as long as BTC also recovered back to the level of $70k, but the thing is with ETH it has been quite disappointing investment so far there were so many outflows from the ETF only now that it stabilizes.

to be fair right now 11th august ETH price already at around $2600 and it could easily climb back up to $3000 anytime soon, so expecting it to go again in $3000 in august does seem to be realistic and since I've personally got my investment trapped at around $3000 i'm really hoping that to be the case  :D so that I can move my investment over to SOL.

No one can accurately predict whether the price of Ethereum will increase or decrease this August, everyone can only guess. Currently the price of Ethereum is $2675. For Ethereum to reach $3000, only $325 would be needed, which is not impossible. In fact, when the price of Bitcoin starts to rise, the price of other altcoins, including Ethereum, starts to rise. Bitcoin price went down to $49k a few days ago but the market recovered to $61k. If Bitcoin price crosses $65k this month we can expect Ethereum price to cross $3000. However, don't lose hope the bull run hasn't started yet, expect the price of Ethereum to go up a lot during the bull run.

I don't see ethereum making that much move to $3k because most times their increase ultimately depends on bitcoin so the should be if bitcoin hits back 70k then there is every possibility to hit back 3k plus this month, and before the year runs out might see in another price level since it gained $4k plus when bitcoin created new ATH.
Of course the market is unpredictable and anything is likely to happen after in the market, and all most us does is to be optimistic about the price when it comes to how we predicted we seems to be very happy.

The support level at $2,927 has been a strong long-term support level which means that staying below it means we will retest the $2,118 level.

The best we will get at the moment is $3,400 but I think we will stay below $3,000 for a long time.

It is still very possible for Ethereum to return to $3000 but if the market returns to stagnation then the Ethereum price will not move this is usual depending on the increase in the price of bitcoin then Ethereum will follow, this is what I observed over the previous few months.

Make sure you already have Ethereum in your portfolio, placing an order at the current price is much better because it is possible that Ethereum could return above $4000 when it is bullish then this is just an opportunity they want to have Ethereum at a low price.

It's not impossible, but it seems unrealistic to feel bullish on ether. Bitcoin's monthly return was often negative in August. I expect ethereum can go back to the 3k sub or even higher after this month. Bitcoin is not looking good after it goes back to the 61k.
Also, we're losing our bigboy (Jump Trading) who sold 500 million worth of ethereum to the market. BTC dom is not showing if there may be a retracement to happen in altcoin too. Moreover, many bad news are always coming, such as recession, war, and many more.


It's probably staying around the 2000-2500 range.

i think a little chance to ethereum will be hit 3000$ in august, because it's current price is too low still, up and down in 2500$-2600$,
so i do not think it can be recover in shortly, and it's depend on bitcoin price, if you following bitcoin definitely whole of crypto market is depend on btc price,
when btc was hit 70k$ then eth was 3500$+, now btc is dumped at 59k$ so that crypto is still very low, if btc will fly then crypto will recover.

Ethereum is one significant crypto coin in the market that is following bitcoin bumper to bumper in terms of price movement of bitcoin taking a rise when bitcoin rises and likewise when bitcoin falls in price. It's performance has been contingent on bitcoin so whatever would make ether go up $3000 this August would mean that bitcoin has to do close to $70k because right now ether is $2667 which means it's possible but we can say for certain. Ether been a good coin to hodl among all alts I don't see reasons why anyone should be bothered about price going $3000 this August or not because with the bull run taking a center stage again I am forecasting it to go $5-6k+.

Nobody knows for certain otherwise we'd all be rich.  But it won't take that much for it to get back to $3,000 at this point. One nice solid bitcoin run and it will push everything up higher.  And as to the top of what it can be, again no one knows.  For as many people predict the right direction the same amount of people will tell you the other way as well.  Welcome to the world of crypto markets.

I don't know exactly if Ethereum will achieve $3000 in August, but if we make a simple historical comparison, we find that:
In 2021
Bitcoin 60,000 , Ethereum 5000
In 2024
Bitcoin 60,000 , Ethereum 2700

Comparing the two dates, we find the difference clear and Ethereum is much less than its real value, almost half, so personally I expect a strong push for Ethereum, but it is not possible to determine exactly when.

I don't know what makes you think that but unlike you, I expect Ethereum to go much higher and possibly exceed $5000 with Bitcoin peaking at 100K$.

Some Ethereum optimists believe it could go 10K$ with Bitcoin peaking at 100-120K$.

Compared to Bitcoin price dumping, Ethereum has definitely been the biggest dumping.  I invested $3500 in ethereum but the price is so dumping I couldn't even guess and I have lost $1000 per ethereum invested and most likely this year I have no guarantee that my ethereum price will correct.

I mean it did crash nearly to 2k, and it's already above 2.6 right now, so it is not really unlikely for it to reach 3k, that sounds like it is something that could very well happen.

Many people think that we are going to end up with something much more marginal and I feel like we are going to end up with something that will take a while and I know that it is not going to be all that easy, it is going to take a while and I know that it is going to be harder to handle all of it, but that doesn't mean that we are going to finally have it, it is going to take a while and we are going to face some issues about it. I do not understand why the market has started so much up and down? A while back I saw Ethereum hovering at $2780 in just one to two hours now I see Ethereum reaching $2630. Nothing can be predicted by looking at such market position. But if the Bitcoin market grows, I think Ethereum will grow. However, Ethereum is more likely to settle at $3000 by this August as the market is already hovering around $3000. Also as an ethereum investor I always wish for the price of ethereum to rise. Don't sell your investment out of desperation, I advise those of you who have invested to hold on.

Etherum price will get to $3k only if bitcoin price reaches $65k and above because Etherum cannot pump on its own but with the help of bitcoin price pumping since altcoins depends on bitcoin price movement for their pump amd dump. There is no need for panic because we are expecting bitcoin price to pump but no one knows if the pump above 65k would be achieved in this August.

In terms of price charts, the movement in the price of bitcoin and ethereum is almost the same, and as we understand the altcoin movement depends on the mother of the entire crypto market, namely bitcoin, so we need to demand bitcoin first so that it increases after that altcoin will follow it and usually ETH is the second place to increase after bitcoin.

Great words! There is also a sign of more liquidations by the volume going on ETH recently, I think that's also a sign that big hands are interested in grabbing more positions, thus ensuring that, in some time, we will see growth up through the ATH or along the lines of it.

What if Ethereum does not hit the said market price of $3,000 this month, i want to believe to an extent that there are many reasons why we are seeing the performance of some of the cryptocurrencies being tied to the general market in overall and this have to start from the dictates we see from bitcoin market price, if it rises then there is high probability that other coins may rise along with it, that is the logic behind the whole thing.

The price of this Ethereum coin is currently up to $2567 this August.  It will definitely hit the highest level in the long run, if I am talking about the month of August then it will definitely hit three thousand dollars if the price of Bitcoin touches $65 thousand. Because bitcoin price and ethereum coin price are in line with this, I would say it will be on the road to recovery very soon.

even SOL and TON outperform ethereum these days I don't have high hopes with ethereum if i'm being honest. but we'll see. since ETH has fixed its gas problem literally touching sub 1 gwei these past few days, hopes the hype come back to ETH again from SOL but doesn't seem to be happening, people already hyped up solana ecosystem and will likely to stick with it, ETH already lost momentum because of the gas problem.

But we are on the 20th day of August. Roughly speaking, I have finished the month of August and there are only 10 days left, I don't think Ethereum will reach 3000 dollars in these 10 days. We have been seeing different volatility in the market for several days now. Nothing can be accurately predicted while this market is going up and the market is going down. Simply put, I don't think Ethereum will be able to stay above $3,000 this August. Currently the price of Ethereum is 2611 dollars.

We can not predict with certainty about the Ethereum's price action. The price is continuously fluctuating and ETH is not performing well lately. If the BTC price goes over $65k, chances are that the ETH will go beyond $3k in August. 
There are predictions that ETH might peak around $10k in the upcoming bull run, but I think this is highly unlikely until and unless BTC pumps toward $200k and takes the ETH price with it.

Starting from the past few months the price has continued to decline after Bitcoin reached a new ATH as well as Ethereum today. Now the month of August has arrived where the crypto market has not yet shown any signs of improvement, let alone a bullish market starting, Ethereum is very hard to rise to a price of $3000 in August as long as the price of Bitcoin is still falling below $75000, there is very little hope that until next month it looks like Ether won't be able to reach price $3000

Most of the time ETH only gets high when there are other projects that uses ETH, and these days other projects are not using ETH but instead using SOL and TON, which means that ETH isn't getting as high as it should. On the last bull run during 2021 we have seen ETH go up, because all these things in SOL and TON were in ETH, maybe a little bit BNB as well but that's about it, instead it is getting divided into more stuff now.

I still think that ETH will not be taken over, it will stay second place but it will not go up too much, it will stay market increase and that's it. Whereas we may see other stuff end up being a bit more careful, there is nothing wrong with doing something crazy by putting all the money into stuff like SOL and TON right now just because they did alright a bit, we could still see them not do that well so we need to be very careful with them, there is no reason why we should end up taking a huge risk for them since it doesn't seem like it would worth it.

last bullrun in 2021 all the things smart contract related heavily concentrated in ETH blockchain causing the fee to go as high as few thousand dollars and I agree right now trend spread across various L1, solana and ton included, ethereum just doesn't have that magic anymore.

although it's hard to topple the position of ETH as the 2nd highest market cap coin, doesn't mean it will preserve that position for long, it could be like EOS or any old coin that got forgotten as the time goes.

Yes, Telegram projects that generate tokens by tapping are currently the most buzzed about. And it is also the most dominant in the cryptocurrency market but I think it won't create a stir for long. But ethereum coin was heavily dumped and it will be the highest pumping, and investment in old coins is quite useful as they have survived in the market faithfully for a long time.

That is just this term, and I bet that it is not going to be valid after a few more months. Those telegram stuff are just the trend right now and anyone who makes those are just looking for funding, they want you to invest with them, and they will try to make as much money as possible from everyone due to hype it has right now. We saw this many times before in the crypto world, it's not new.

I checked it just now and the value of Ethereum is now at 2,592.86 dollars. Even though the increase is only 20 dollars, well at least it is still an increase, right? And I'm sure many wants that compared to if the coin is dumping even though they can also buy efficiently during it.

I think you are saying that the volatility rate now is much higher than before but I think before, there are still times when the volatility rate is high and it usually occurs when the market is in a positive mood. The adoption right now could be higher than before and this is another reason on why the volatility rate now is also high.

Even though the volatility rate is in normal condition, predicting might still be a pain in the ass especially if you are following the smaller cryptos because they are prone to manipulations. If predicting is only easy, then there is no more thrill on it anymore. Are you sure you want it? But for sure you will only get bored with it later on. Also with less volatility, the potential profit that we can get will only be less. I don't know about you but I think it is still possible for Ethereum to reach 3k dollars because we are only 400 dollars away from it and I think that was only small.

It goes as high as $4k when BTC was $74k and it went downhill afterwards due to many thing, the fact that ETH ETF is such a disappointment also contribute to the dumping of ETH price, i'm rather doubtful ETH could ever reach $3k again with the situation not looking so good.

right after jump trading sold off their ETH holding now it's EF's turn, feeling so dumb right now been investing to ETH, should've known better.

I was very happy to see the way the market started to move up and maybe Ethereum could reach $3000 again in August. But due to a small bad news Pavel Dhruv owner of Ton Blockchain was detained from France airport, maybe the market is dumping a bit but it is expected that the market will go up and Ethereum will reach $3000 by this August.

The detention of Pavel Dhruv does not have anything to do with the price of Etherum dipping because that is a new coin and has no connection with bitcoin. What controls the crypto market is the price of bitcoin, if bitcoin dips altcoins dips, if bitcoin price pumps, they also pump.

For Ethereum to reach $3000 that means that bitcoin would have pump to $67k and above because currently Etherum is a $2735 as I am typing this post. No one knows when bitcoin price will pump to 70k but there is hope that we will see it and that means that Etherum will also get to $3k.

well there are a week before the month Ends and Ethereum is standing high at 2,700 dollars so if this pumping continues and bitcoin may be hitting 70k again? then we may see Ethereum at 30 hundreds then .

You posted this thread on 10Th august and after 16 days Ethereum is trading at 2700$ not even touch 3000$ so according to my opinion Ethereum will not cross 3000$ this month though the difference is very close to predicting price. If bitcoin will touch 70k$ this month then. Eth can easily cross 3k$ price otherwise it will be trading between 2350$ to 2710$.

It can be said that investing in them is stable (sort of), as the only stake at hand is time, really ;D

pavel durov is owner of telegram and ton is backed by telegram that means pavel durov only associated with ton coin and other ton related some meme coins you can say not is hype coin then dogs and some other in the pipelines. if there are no connection with eth, so crypto market is not affected for he arrested, only ton and not price is affected.

I agree. ETH wouldn't be in such trouble, and, after all - Telegram is here to stay, even if news about Durov would continue to paint this black road for him and TON itself ;D

I feel like that's true, I mean the pump isn't a pump, it's a recovery because we went down which means that we are not going to see 70k+ that easily, but the idea that if it reaches 70k+ then ETH price will be 3k+ by that time is true and will happen without a doubt.

The ups are almost identical, of course there could be small changes, but at near 60k or so, the increase waited was close to 20%, we are near at 64k now and the same is expected but for about 10% right now, if the same happens at ETH that means we are going to see 3k+ and it's on the way. I am not saying that we will have exactly that much, it could be like 2950 or something, like barely at 3k but not exactly but it will be close. So if you really want to invest, this could be a great time to do it and I am sure that a lot of people will agree to that. I know that it's not going to be easy and I know that it will take time to get there, maybe not in August but could be early September, but it's worth a shot.

Seeing the rise in the price of Ethereum two to three days ago, I thought that Ethereum might stay in the $3000 range by this August. But around $2820 Ethereum started to move lower again and currently Ethereum is at $2600. Today is the 27th of August and there are only three days left, Ethereum may not be able to reach $3000 in these three days. However, since the market does not take much time to grow, prices can rise at any time. But if it is not possible to stay at $3000 in August then I think Ethereum can reach $3000 in September.

Every coin will have a high chance of price increase this September. No matter how much you worry, be aware because the next bull market is waiting to arrive.  That's why I strongly recommend investing in all coins, including Bitcoin, and the current price will cross $4000. Since the price of Ethereum coin is currently at $2542, I think it is normal to touch $3000.

While I do agree that it will have a good period and prices will increase, there is no guarantee of it. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you and think that the price will increase and ETH will hit 3k eventually this month and everything will be fine, but I "believe" that, I do not have proof of it and I will not try to convince anyone else about it because I can't provide any proof that it will happen, this isn't some treasury bond that you know how much you will get, it's totally random, maybe some great news will happen and we may not just break 3k but we may break even 4k, because those type of things do happen in the crypto world, or maybe something horrible will happen and we will drop another 20-25% suddenly in a day.

All of these are possible, the only reason why I believe that it will do fine is the fact that it's after halving and after every halving it takes some months before bitcoin starts to go up and because of that I think it will be a good one like the previous ones. If the same thing happens again, then we are going to end up with a good result without a doubt and the price will be much higher, so this is the main reason why I think the price will be 3k in September.

You're right here! All altcoins do not have any immunity when it comes to staying at the top of others for long. ETH might suffer some issues in their blockchain which may make many persons stop using their service. However, that is just an imagination as I trust the blockchain, but what is happening now with the price is something that everyone should be expecting and it wouldn't last for long. The price will go up soon.

Currently, i do not see any altcoin that i think will bite ETH from the second place in market capitalization. Most of those altcoins are still experiencing drop in price so its a probably a general dip when the market goes up we will  see more from ETH. 

The guarantee is the halving, on top of that crypto always goes up anyway and there is no scenario where we just stay low, we will eventually get higher and that is why we know that 3k or 4k or even 10k for ethereum will happen one day, we just do not know when that will happen. The question was august, now we are in September, could it happen again in September?

There is a possibility, we are still early in September and we need to see what happens but the likelihood is right there and could happen. Never doubt crypto, the good coins will always go up, sure there are some trash projects which will go down and be zero, but that doesn't mean that the good ones like bitcoin and ethereum would go down too much, they will always go up eventually.

ETH going down because the market is indeed really bad might be the case, but Solana is ready to bite ETH any time, the revenue already surpass ETH, the ecosystem is lively and so on.
it only takes time to grow and will eventually grow, but honestly solana also has its share of problems as well.

We already see what happen to Ethereum. This time, the market showing a correction and makes many coins including Bitcoin is at a low price. It is hard situation but that doesn't mean we give up because the situation will be change and the market will back on green. We have a good time to accumulate more amount on the coins that we want including accumulating more Bitcoin as our investment. I am sure Ethereum will be $3000 but I don't know when we will see that price so we must have patience and still waiting for the time. This correction will not last forever so market will be back normal after refreshing the lists and that means the bull run for Bitcoin and the altcoin season will coming. You don't have to worry with the current situation but you must use this moment  to accumulate more amount.

I still think that it could happen in September. Obviously we do not have any proof if it will happen or not ,we are just speculating here but ETH seems like it is not that far away and could happen. Right now the whole market is down and because of that it looks like it won't be that much down, but I think it's clear that we could make this work one way or another, and I think it could be something that we can profit from as well.

I have been invested into ETH for a while now and I plan on getting a lot more when I get my payment and that is why I will be basically holding long term. I think the price will definitely peak above 3k soon enough, I think it will be September but if it's October or November then I can wait that long too.

You created this topic in August but until September the price of ethereum has not been able to break through $3k, from what I have observed the price of ethereum is very sensitive to the price of bitcoin, we will see ethereum at $3k ++ when the price of bitcoin experiences a bull run and I am not sure we will see a bitcoin bull run in the near future so until the end of next month I am not sure ethereum will be at $3k.

The market is bull right now tho we are gonna see altcoin season soon I believe so in the altseason we might see a bunch of other altcoin price went up. But surely this is not happen in August or September like we see hahah maybe in the next month but Q4 is sure.

BNB alone targets a price of $1000 let alone ETH. :D :D. My filling said for ETH it will certainly be more than the price you are targeting. Personally, for ETH until now it is still a Good Investment and there is no doubt whatsoever to continue accumulating it, especially since it is still cheap like now.

The key is that market conditions are getting better in the future, BTC is getting better, its price reversal is automatic, everything will follow, not just ETH.

But here if I want to say that we should focus our discussions on Bitcoin, because when the price of Bitcoin is high, the price of unique Altcoin coins is high and when the price of Bitcoin is low, Altcoin price starts dumping. But when the price of Bitcoin is periodically high, it does not show the high price of other coins, but among the old coins, the Ethereum coin plays one of the roles. This is convincing enough that the price of this coin will definitely increase further and cross $3000 this September.

Since it is open with August futures then this topic should be locked. We didn't see Ethereum price above $3000 throughout August and September. I assumed from the beginning that if August is not possible then September may reach $3000. But that was not possible even in September. But definitely possible in the month of October.

The Q4 is running. I am really become confused what's really behaving with us.  The price is stuck around 2300-2500$. I don’t have much hope as i have seen downtrend all the year i passed on crypto. Its been a tough year going to end where war are happening many areas on the world. Get a hope if we see a strong uptrend at the year end. If we get a good trend we may reach 3000$ and even more. Lets see how market behave with us.

I don't know if OP still reads this thread, but if he ever does, I hope he sees my post. Investing in altcoins has high risks, especially when people don't pay attention to the price of the altcoin in relation to BTC.
