Title: Need Help with Bitcoin Development - eFPGA Involvement
Post by: Eric12368 on August 15, 2024, 08:03:43 AM
I've been diving into Bitcoin development and hit a bit of a roadblock. I'm currently working on a project where I'm exploring the use of eFPGA (https://www.icdrex.com/what-is-embedded-fpga-efpga/) to optimize some aspects of the process. However, I’m running into some issues, especially when it comes to managing the interaction between the Bitcoin codebase and the eFPGA.

I’m not trying to integrate anything complex, just want to experiment with a few specific functions. Has anyone here worked with eFPGA in a similar context? Any tips or resources that could help me understand how to better approach this? I’m especially interested in hearing about any challenges you faced or things to watch out for.

What exactly are you trying to build that requires an eFPGA?

FPGA was used to mine Bitcoin, but it was more than a decade ago. Other than that, i don't see anyone actually use FPGA for other Bitcoin-related tasks. Even cryptography verification performed by full node and SPV client still use CPU.

There's possibility we're seeing SEO spam, which means he's not trying to build anything. But i can't be 100% sure about it.
