Just read the news that crypto.com has become the official Champions League sponsor for the next 3 years - pretty big news!

I have been invested in Cronos for a few years now and surprised there is not much talk of it on this forum considering its a pretty big platform.

Anyone else invested? Are we thinking this is big news or not?

Big news for them, the UEFA Champions League has huge viewing figures & is the most prestigious club soccer trophy in Europe. I look forward to seeing the logo around the sides of the field when the games are on. Hopefully it brings more crypto exposure which leads to increased adoption which leads to my bags pumping.

No, I don't invest in Cronos (CRO), I think this platform doesn't get enough attention from the crypto public, and that could be due to several things, it could be that their token is less popular because its utility isn't strong. To me, this news is big news, but why isn't the impact so strong? no significant increase occurred, even though they will be the official sponsor of UCL for the next 3 years.

It's a good news to those who are holding cronos and this could leads to continue buying which the other way round turns to a massive investment and I believe people has been increasing their holdings secretly.
But it would showcase more when people started seeing them displayed by when the games are on running just as the previous poster said.

The champions league group stages don't start for another 5 weeks - that is when it will make an impact.

I hold Cronos and even before this news was hoping it would do well so hopefully this will really help it in the next 6-12 months for the rest of this bull run.

More importantly though it will help crypto as a whole.

Nah, if the partnership really give a big impact, the impact will start from yesterday. It doesn't need to wait until the group stages ends since cryptocurrency is digital, most people who own cryptocurrency are active in digital space instead of real life.

If Cronos price increase in the next 5 weeks or 6-12 months, it doesn't necessary due to this partnership, instead it's due to Bitcoin price increase.

Lets see, I only stumbled across the news earlier. Hundreds of millions of people will be watching the champions league from next month around the world so it can only help.

I will just continue holding my bag and hopefully we have a good last few months of the year like most of us are expecting. 

The price of Cronos increased over 200% the week after Trump was elected president.

I am still holding my bags and glad I accumulated the last few years.

Oh you call this a good news? Sorry to express my humble opinion that holding Crypto.com native token is a waste of time and you should never make decisions of buying any token based on emotions. That exchange is not safe for customers. They have a bad reputation based on some users they locked their accounts for no reason.
Exchange tokens are supposed to have large adoption but I think Crypto.com was the opposite of them all. Popular exchange with different accusations and never ready to resettle them.

They are just got hype with the current news happening.

But if it happens that they already bought CRONOS then they made already a good profit I guess the next thing they could do is to plan their exist since there's good chance that dumps will came.

I like your idea and that is a typical way investors move their funds. I see investing in CRONOS or whatever the name is as a waste of time based on my own opinion. I think the pump that we are seeing now might become a dump soon and everyone that had invested in it should be planning of taking their profits before the price is going to plumate.

I understand that news move the market and we shouldn't be over excited seeing the price CRO go bullish yet. Some random whales might have gotten in the trend which must have enhanced the pumping of CRO and I doubt if this is gonna last long. Exchange like Crypto.com knows how to manipulate the market to their own advantage and we'll have to be smart so we don't fall victim to the buy trap.

Another one will bite the dust, just like the rest.

Hopefully, less people will become exit liquidity for the founders of yet another project like that..

We will see about it, but I, just like the rest (mostly), wouldn't go to such a coin or a project.

Those who's already bought before now can continue holding, maybe something huge could happen to Cronos soon however those who are thinking of buying due to FOMO should thread carefully so as not to buy and it ends up dumping it's true that positive news like this usually affect the market in a good way, such news could cause more people who are into crypto and follow up the Champions league to buy but then the market can be very unpredictable and could go the other way round, well since you already have it you can keep holding and hope for the best in these few months.

The pump in the price of CRONOS might be done by  insiders to attract gullible buyers that might think the price will keep pumping forever. Exit liquidity happens but most investors are never aware of this, they only think that price just move up without any force attached to it.

We ought to be wise when Investing in altcoins so we don't keep making the same mistakes every time. Project team want to make money from this pump, whales and insiders want to make money too so the question is, "where will the profit comes from?" Very simple and it works like magic...pump the price for few consecutive days to attract new investors then starts selling gradually so the price doesn't look like a real pump and dumped. I believe any newbies are ignorant of this technique ;)

This stories about with tresuries have two strategy.

• On one hand, this gives Cronos a massive validation boost.
  On the other, it concentrates nearly 20% of CRO’s supply in a single corporate treasury — a bet that could pay off big, or backfire if CRO fails to scale.

So, i think you need a bit wait correction and buy it. Becuase if you check other coins aftere announcmetn they have great rasing and aftere 2-3 days it is started deflate

Go accumulate Bitcoin and stop thinking what is not in existence.
 Do you want us to buy CRONOS because you did? If you are already on profit since when you stated holding, be happy and move to the next shitcoin that will elevate your earnings. Perhaps you can accumulate Bitcoin for your safety so you don't get rugged pulled  coincidentally. Hold smartly and stay safe while you count your horses.

I am ok thanks, Bitcoin returns are now limited with it at $113k.  Might buy it next year if we see the expected bear market and it falls below $90k again but till then i will stay with my altcoins that can see real returns by end of the year.

I am not saying to buy it now at all , it has pumped a lot last 48 hours so a cool off is expected soon.

I plan to buy Bitcoin in the next bear market with my altcoin profits i make by end of this year.

Hey man I can see you have a plan already and there's nothing anyone will say to talk to out it, just do your thing and come to think of it, who told you that you can't actually buy Bitcoin all the time with what you can afford, let's say get profit from altcoin as you said, whats the need of waiting till the next bear market as you said, that's a wrong move, you can buy Bitcoin DCA with the amount you can afford at all time consistently and may be sincere your buying capacity during the bear or any dip but the idea of waiting till the next bear market before you can buy is not making sense although that's your decision.

Ngl, I'm happy for everyone that made off of this. This project started off as Monaco card back in the day right here on the forum and it's still one of the very few projects that have been building for years now so they deserve every they have got coming for the in the recent moves. I saw news of the treasury company from CRO tokens and I was late to it but I'll be on the lookout for decent dips to get my hands on it.

I have only been in it a few years so not sure what it was like before 2023 but always felt it would do well and as it was below $0.08 for many years felt it was a great price for a big exchange token.

I hear some say it can hit $2-2.50 later this year , possible but I’m not sure , I’m hoping for $1.25.
