Although I'm not a Bitcointalk moderator, I believe that there won't be any issues as long as you're not trying to infect people's computers with an infected file.

Spamming the forum with ref links is not allowed. You will get banned if you do so. I suggest you create an ANN thread here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0) to increase awareness about the project. And if you have a good budget, you can open a signature campaign and hire a campaign manager that will help you manage the campaign.

I do agree. This is not a forum where advertising is given emphasis, but instead this is created to spread out useful information all about bitcoin. So if you are here to introduce your new crypto project, it’s like your motive entering the forum is not acceptable. Hire a campaign manager instead so you can talk it out and be able to introduce your project legally. I’m sure it’ll work out as long as there are seen potentials in your project.

If you've read the rules and check the pinned post/s of the board you're posting to, you're probably good to go as far as ban/restriction hammers are concerned lol.

I would just suggest buying a copper membership so you can lift the image posting restriction for newbies, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

You could also hire graphic designers to make a nice infographic for your ANN thread or campaign managers if you wanna game up your promotions in the forum, see: Bitcointalk Services from Bitcointalk Members  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406507.0)

You're free to advertise your crypto projects my friend but be assured that if you're not going to invest on it such as projects to earn participants rewards if required, you'd be running it on your own without forum members contributing to the adventure of the projects such as airdrops and signature campaigns.
Be also aware that there's no tolerance for scamming projects so, try to be genuine.
Welcomed on board and good luck.

You are free to advertise your crypto project anytime you want as long as you are not spamming the forum and you should also keep in mind that referral links being posted many times or spamming referral links is not allowed. You can also start a campaign to promote or advertise your crypto project. You can hire a manager if you are too busy with the project. Buying copper membership as mentioned above would let you post images since ranks below jr. member are unable to post an image.

Signature Campaign Guidelines (read this before starting or joining a campaign) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0)

You can advertise your crypto project here and signature campaign is one of possible advertisement types here. After reading that thread, you will understand that if your advertisement breaks forum rules, like uncontrolled spam, your account will be in trouble with temporary ban or permanent ban.

Altcoin giveaway is no longer allowed since 2014.

Giveaway threads are not allowed (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=434310.0)

you can create an ANN thread for your project. avoid any plagiarism related to your project.
if I may ask what sector is your project running in? exchange, gambling, or others?
if your project is related to crypto gambling, you should go to the gambling board.
you can create a campaign for your project on the forum. but I suggest working together and communicating with the campaign manager on the forum. there are many who have a good reputation. if you need advice say it here, there will be many advice for you and your project.

There are a few places dedicated to announcements and advertising, but overall spamming is frowned upon most places nowadays.

There is Project Development forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0

Service Announcements:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0

Anything related to Micro Earnings:

Yes, you can advertise your new crypto projects in this forum but not in all sections, there is a specific section for such services, and you can as well look for a manager that have advertising experience to help you out if the project is legit.

You can hire a manager to assemble some forum users for your project for advertising purposes, you have to pay the manager, and have to pay the bounty hunters as well because nothing is free now.

Visit the bounty section (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0) of the forum, check the pin threads and get a manager to help you advertise your new project.

Of course you can. You can do just about anything here so long as your following procedures and doing it just in the board it was meant for.

If you want to do some promotion, the gambling board is there for you if it’s a crypto gambling project, you can announce your thread there. You also have the service board to run a campaign and maybe announce your product. The service discussion board is also there for you to utilize and also, the bounty section. You just evaluate what you want to bring to the public and see where it suits for placement.

A note to do is,
Trying to post links to your project anywhere you make comments, it’s not a very patronized idea here. A few times when it’s necessary might be over looked but, making it a culture just to get more clicks found even get you nuked.

It depends on what kind of project you have. However, you're free to advertise it on your own but make sure it won't be a scammy project. If it is a mixer, don't waste your time making threads, and don't push it anymore. But if it's a sort of casino, a new altcoin, or an exchange. You're free to create an announcement thread just as mentioned to you. And the rest, you can read the guidelines with the links that were given to you above my post.

Mentioning your crypto project will make it better for us to understand and to be able to give you the right advice on where the right board to make such thread, but with the information lacking in this thread above you are only going to get some random answers that may not give you the right answer to what you really need.

So adhere to my suggestion by including the nature of your project and how you want to approach the forum either to seek for employer that need your service, or you want to promote the project's here in the forum, it all left for you.

Yes, only in the ANN thread you create, For bitcoin related service  post it on Services Announcements (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0) board if altcoins related to Services Announcements (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=197.0)
Gambling Board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0) if its related to gambling. Note that it's not allowed to advertise services on your every post outside on your ann thread and it will be labeled as spamming a ban able offense.

Welcome to the forum and just as other users have already said and suggested to you, I think you should follow them up and you’ll be just fine and for the main time, try reading and getting familiar with the forum and I also want to also let you know that here is one of the largest crypto community online and advertising your project over here will be a great advantage to you and the project.

There is special board for Ann thread announcement where you introduce your project to the community in a well arranged manner and try to present it to the people and be willing to answer necessary questions about the project and if in case it might be difficult for you, there are good marketing managers here that can help get things smooth for you.

Hey, I am new here but have tried reading the rules to avoid any restriction but couldnt find some answers. Please I have a question which is: Can I advertise my new crypto project here and what do I need to do so I dont get into trouble. Thanks

First read the forum's Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0)

Second since you are introducing your crypto project you might want to create a topic about your cryptocurrency project on the altcoin board of this forum: Announcements (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0).  Be sure to read the pinned message on that board so that your thread won't get deleted.

If you have a service to offer that is relevant to altcoins you can create a service announcement under the altcoin board : Service Announcements (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=197.0)

You are free to create a bounty campaign if you want to attract people to your project.  Many campaign managers in this forum will gladly assist you in your endeavors.  You can check the list on this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412712.0 and the active campaign here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0  to see the right people to approach in promoting your service.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum.  In fact if you want to introduce any project here you can discuss it with the moderators here. Of course you can advertise your campaign here but I want to tell you that you can set up a good campaign manager to advertise your campaign. If you want to make your campaign much more attractive then you should set up a good campaign manager and transfer to him hopefully your campaign will be much more successful.

You can always introduce your own crypto project but never make an intense conviction towards the members of this forum because that may look as you are only aiming for your personal interest, not for the common welfare of the people here. Advertise but never spam in the forum, we don't have issues with that. I suggest so that you'll be well guided, get a reputable campaign manager instead and leave it to him the advertisement of your new crypto project, that way your account will not be compromised.

Since you are new into the forum and it may take you some time to get to understanding how things are done here regarding running of advertisements, and basically as this is a crypto project that you want to advertise, well, I don't know how you have budgetted to doing this. However, It would be better off if you hires one of the reputable campaign managers to help you in running of a campaign here, and this way ,I assure you will even get to reaching more of your targeted customers, especially when it's run by a reputable manager.
You can find any of them in service discussion board here services (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0)
