Title: Phone or laptop? Which one do you prefer to use for trading?
Post by: Oshosondy on August 21, 2024, 01:34:12 PM
I am not referring to forex or trading stocks or commodity. I am referring to crypto trading.

I prefer to trade crypto  with phone. I have a laptop but I noticed that I do not like it to trade unlike phone. I do not know if other people are like that or they just prefer to use laptop. That is why I bring this survey. To know people that use laptop to trade crypto than phone or otherwise.

The reason I prefer phone is because I am faster with it and very it is simple and straightforward than trading on computer.

Pleas if you are not a trader, do not come here to choose laptop or computer. Do not post on this thread if you are not trading on crypto exchanges.

On smart phones, you have more risk to make mistake because of smaller screen than your laptop or desktop computer. On smart phones, you can misclick on the screen and mistakenly make your trading order too.

I prefer to use laptop, computers for important things like trading, storing my coins in investment portfolio, and when making transactions in cryptocurrency or in bank transfer too. On smart phones, I am worry that I will more easily make mistakes. Smart phones give you flexibility, portability and convenience but in security, it's worse and in risk management on trading order action, it's worse too.

Seriously I would say there is ease and simplicity that comes with actually using phone, like me I have my trading exchange on my phone because I prefer it to that of laptop and also because I don’t need to actually be with my system (laptop) always, so I can simply track my trades. Most at times some applications are not available for laptops you will have to use extensions which I don’t like but pretty much all top exchanges have their laptop apps too.

So I actually do have my exchange on phone and enter my traders there, I tell you I am not comfortable taking out technical analysis there (reading chats) I usually prefer larger screen, most at times I use the laptop and sometimes I even use larger screens like TVs for the analysis and then simply enter the trade from my phone. I think this is what most people I know do

Because of the simplicity that comes with mobile phone, I think I will prefer mobile phone for trading than using a system, although using a computer also comes with it own flexibility of usage on the site, but there are still other features that makes mobile phone more user friendly aside the displays which is the only advantage of using computers to trade on exchanges.

Also prefer using my laptop to surf the net when I want to read, so if and when I want to do my trading analysis, I usually do that on my laptop, since I normally do trading analysis when I am home, where I can conformably read chat on wide screen.

For technical analysis, I am more comfortable to draw a line on my PC for charting and there are a few indicators that you can't find on the phone than using a laptop.
Like the VWAP indicator, I can't see this on the phone to any different exchanges Binance, Bitget, and OKX are the most intraday players used to identify the current trend in a shorter time frame.
And there are lots of things that you can't find on the phone than on a laptop which is more flexible for technical analysis the only good thing why I use the phone is to monitor the news, prices, and alerts and you can immediately perform analysis and you can quickly take a position or buy if you see an opportunity.

There is also a good advantage on the phone there are many trading tools and apps you can find on the phone than on the laptop.

I personally use my pc or my laptop for trading because with pc I can use technical indicators way better because of the bigger size of the screen.

I do used to trade on my iPad and Android based tablet a few months ago but the experience wasn't satisfactory and that's why I shift back to pc and laptop for trading.

I currently use my high end gaming pc for trading but soon I'm going to shift to my laptop for trading and I'm going to stick to my laptop for long term I believe.

@OP, first and foremost, if you want to get the behaviour of the community, you can create a poll so it is easy for you to see the pulse of the traders here.

On my end, I usually use my laptop as I can see the charts bigger and it is quite easy for me to navigate. But sometimes, I use my phone if I need to trade while on the go. I believe, it depends on your situation when you happen to do your trading. For me, I would go for laptop if I am not mobile.

Smart phones makes it simpler and easier for us to trade forex, cryptocurrency, stock, and synthetic indices, but when we talk about market analysis, that's trying to figure out what is happening right their in the market using the chart, laptop outperformed smart phones in this case and gives you an overview of the trending market. However, I majorly use phone to trade and reason I use phone to trade, is because, I can easily carry it about and monitor my trades where I go, and too because of it long lasting battery, and use of phones makes trading much easier.

Mobile phones are actually easy when you can not go everywhere with your laptop, for me I will prefer using laptop because of the details and wider screen and in time of usage I might get distracted using my phone because if chats and other social media apps I don't know for me but anything I do I still prefer using my laptop their in a lot of differences when it comes to usuage, but am sure their are people that will also be comfortable with phone no matter what they are doing, this is something more personal and what is convenient in term of usage for everyone. And situation I can go with my laptop I won't have a choice than to use my phone, in term of advantage phone works all the time because their places you can not go with your laptop so phone will still win against laptop. And for other valuable reasons and privacy phone is better because when people start seen you will laptop every time they will make a meaning out of it, sticking to phone is just the best especially for our region so their is lot to using phone.

For me, I find trading on my laptop or desktop to be best.  The bigger screens let me easily see charts and indicators compared to trying to squint at my phone.  But sure, if Im out and get a mobile alert or something, Ill pop open my trading app to take a peek or place an order real quick and  i think it just depends when and where you happen to be doing your trading on which device works better.  Like if youre on the go then yeah, pull out your phone to check in.  But if youre able to park somewhere and dig in, then the extra convenience of a big computer screen definitely helps in my experience.

I never trade on the go but as a trader I aways try to monitor the market and for monitoring purpose I use my smartphone but for trading it's a pretty small device and can be cause of losses as it becomes hard to use indicators or charts in a good way using a smartphone due to its smaller screen size.

Trading on mobile phones can be very challenging. You have very limited space to do all what needs to be done and you’re always in between zooming in and having to zoom out again. Also, a lot of features are always lacking on the mobile device and even in the landscape mood, you still don’t have that display that would be well compared to a desktop or laptop computer device. It’s always tasking operation to trade on a mobile but, when it comes to desktop or laptop computing devices, you have a whole lot available to you. First of them all is the interface. You just have to try them bith to kote the difference.
While mobile devices might be good for monitoring a trade, laptop and desktop computing devices is good for making analysis and placing trades.

I have not make such mistake before. The mistake that I have made before is not to adjust the leverage and input certain amount which would be multiplied by the leverage set. But on most exchanges, you can set it in a way that it will not multiply by the leverage but only use the amount of money for the required position.

For technical analysis, I am more comfortable to draw a line on my PC for charting and there are a few indicators that you can't find on the phone than using a laptop.
Anyone that prefer the chart for tradingview will also prefer laptop. I have not seen tradingview before on phone. Some traders do not like the modern chart that the exchanges are having but prefer the tradingview chart.

Honestly I almost never enter any trading positions on my phone, I sometimes monitor the positions and scale out or close the position but almost never enter or make the decision to enter a trade by looking at a phone. The screen is way too small. And in the past, especially when there is panic, you are most than likely to fat finger a trade which can lead to losses.

Its the same for a tablet or notepad, best is having an actual desktop computer with dual monitors so you can monitor the markets while having the trading terminal open on your other monitor. This way you don't need to switch back and forth the windows unlike on a notebook computer.

You'll be faster and straightforward trading with your mobile phone after you've made your analysis on a computer that has a larger screen. Making technical analysis may be too difficult to do on mobile phones properly without slight errors that will have significance on your trade result.
Trading cryptocurrency on mobile phone will be much more easier if you generally depend more on fundamental analysis for trading decisions.

You can see indicators and tools on an exchange app on a mobile phone which can be enough for analysing the market. But having it on computer would be better. What I meant is that if someone does not have a laptop, he can still use the exchange app on the mobile phone to make technical analyses. If the person is good, the person will still use the phone to make money from trading.

When you talk about trading on mobile phone, do you mean just any mobile phone or the phone must have some specific functionalities and capabilities? When I think about there is a lot of back and forth. And it will difficult if the trader doesn't have a phone, good internet, fast thinker and quick fingers. Using is a phone is not for beginners because of the frustration they may likely encounter with the issues mentioned which is minimized when using a laptop. In my estimation, you only get comfortable with it when you go from a beginner level to an intermediate level.

To trigger some trades like placing orders (buy or sell). Mobile phones are really great, with only a few clicks and on the go you can open a trade.

I know some people here much prefer to do analysis on bigger screens but you can also do it on the mobile phone if you prefer, I know such traders do trades only on their mobile phones and they are still profitable, it's just more on preference and how they are used to be.

It's more easier to navigate trades in laptop or desktop because it gives you more easier access of the market and other features of the exchange this serves as an advtange for the details you sometimes get overlooked and if you make a put position in these you can now make a close position with your phone because it's easier to click you don't need to get worry about how to flat your next trade with the market. In short I do hard navigation in PC or laptop and make an easy task with my mobile phone.

I can not agree more than this because you are correct. I think you use both phone and laptop to trade and know the advantages of one over the other. To open and close a position, to make trades in the spot or margin market, I prefer to use phone. This even makes me to prefer making analyses on phone. But I know that analyses on laptop is better if you know how to do it.

Nowadays we can see people closer to mobile phones. By using mobile phones we can do trading activities anywhere and anytime. But for me using devices such as computer screens and laptops provides its comfort.
I do not make trading a daily activity that may take up time. So using a device where I can't use it all the time can be a limitation that I make myself not always do or even force trading.

I have a fear that if it gets closer to me and I always access it easily, I myself cannot control my activities. So I will trade when I am on my computer screen. Even though I can do it on my mobile phone.

I think it will depend on each person's habits. Because you often use your phone to trade and over time it will form a habit for you, so when you switch to using a laptop you will find it more uncomfortable and inconvenient than using a phone. But I bet you, if you use a computer with a stable configuration like a Mac with a fast internet connection, you will find that using a laptop feels much better than a phone.
Every time I place a trading order, I prefer to use my phone because it may be a habit, but when analyzing charts and markets, I cannot do it on my phone, I need a laptop. I do a combination of both but when I trade I spend most of my time on my laptop screen.

So far, I am more comfortable using a laptop or computer. that's because the display is wider, and it is easier for us to carry out analysis compared to smartphones. However, when in an emergency, or circumstances really don't support opening a laptop or computer, I will use my smartphone. Well, I can use both, but most often it's the laptop

I choose to trade on laptop of course, I'm a old and traditional trader so it's good for me if I have a big screen in front of me to see who's going on the market. Although there could be some traders who uses phone just like you, but I guess we should prefer to be very comfortable and so I have my laptop with me to trade.

I've open to try and trade on my phone several times, but I'm slow and I think I tend to make a lot of mistakes as well. One advantage of phone is that you can take it everywhere to do trades and I also have seen exchanges trying to promote themselves with that marketing that you just need a phone to be able to trade.

Are there people that are still using laptop to trade because I do not find it very comfortable to use. When I am doing my technical analysis, that is when I use my laptop so I can get the best view but for trading I use my phone and not the exchange website either but their apps. Apps are very convenient that is why I use them. I can access my trading account from anywhere with my phone and it is fast and straightforward as you said. The user interface on mobile apps are also very friendly too and I enjoy them. Cryptocurrency exchange are really putting in efforts to make our trading experience very good but one problem I have with them is the constant listing of new coins that are not worth trading because they do well in the market as they get dumped after they get listed.

If you're comfortable with phone, I am amazed. I can't do that as screen is too little for me but it doesn't need for someone to have large screens or monitors to trade because you only need to put orders for your trades. I'm more comfortable doing trades on my desktop and any other task that I have to do is, I have very much comfortable with it.

But when there are trades that I have to make like there's a need for me to buy some specific coins that I am waiting for the dip, and I'm not on my desktop and needs to buy that as soon as possible, of course smartphones are way to go. I don't have to be a day trader for that, just some casual buys are needed to do.

Definitely, laptop.

It has already been said, but a very small screen makes it easier to tap in the wrong place, apart fro that it is much more convenient and better for your eyes to watch to a larger screen.

It also worries me the fact that you always carry your phone with you, and taking into account that trading have much in common with gambling, you could lose focus in other important activities in your daily-life, and you may end up overtrading.

In addition, I think that trading via browser is important from the point of view of privacy, because afaik most apps from exchanges are not privacy-friendly.

So, to me, the best option is an intermediate option between phone and laptop, which is trading in the browser version of the exchange in a medium size to large tablet.

I also prefer to trade in my smartphone. I do spot trading and futures trading only and I use exclusively Binance because this is the best option right now for me. I find their web platform very complicated. I had to spend some minutes to find my opened futures position on their futures trading page but on the other hand, their mobile app is very intuitive with great UI/UX design.

On smart phones, you have more risk to make mistake because of smaller screen than your laptop or desktop computer. On smart phones, you can misclick on the screen and mistakenly make your trading order too.
Modern smartphones have big screens and when you make a serious decision, there is usually a two-step verification. I think that our experience depends on the exchange that we use. I personally find Binance's mobile app far better than its web platform. I like Binance's design better than other exchanges but to be fair, I haven't tried applications of other exchanges. It's very individual. Some might have a better web platform while others may have a better mobile app.

It actually depends on where we are, I myself still use both, namely Laptops and Smartphones. Smartphones are easier to use and easier to see the market. I usually use a laptop for execution and analysis techniques.

However, when trading I often use a smartphone, because for me this is a very portable device and easy to carry anywhere. By using a smartphone, as a trader we can trade wherever we are, as long as we are still connected to the internet. So this allows us as traders to stay connected to the market and be able to make decisions when there is a trading opportunity.

While laptops can be carried anywhere, they usually require a larger space and of course are heavier to carry around. Therefore, I who often travel, laptops may be very rarely used unless I am at home. Actually, both of these can make it easier for us to trade, it's just that the choice depends on the individual's condition where they are.

Totally depends on how you would really be doing your trades but for me then i would really be that comfortable when trading up with my PC or Desktop on which i do really that make things more faster
considering that you do have a mouse a big keyboard and a big monitor on which you could really be able to make things more faster than with small screens. My current set up is on 3x monitor
on which i could really say that it is really that too convenient and comfortable when executing trading analysis on which you could make multiple tasks on simply switching up in between browsers if you
would be needing too. The only good thing when you do make use of mobile phone is on the moment that you are really that on transit and you would really be needing to check up your trades on which you could really be able to say that having your phone would really be able to make yourself that check out everytime anytime or anywhere in regarding into your open trading orders and this is why its not really that shocking that people would really be that wanting or loving on making use of this way. For me then since im not a busy person whose really that making some travels and im a freelance worker then it would really be just that
fine on having this kind of set up. In overall, then it would really be just that entirely depending into someones condition since not all would really be doing on the same thing.
This is where they could be choosing up according into those conditions on which its a normal thing to be done.

I use phone whenever I already have strategy set on my trade for the same as your due to convenience and quick reaction whenever there is a trend on the coin I’m trading that time.

But I use my desktop to analyze first the coin I’m going to trade using tradingview because it offers much better visibility especially on finding patterns on charts and signal on indicators which is very hard to do using small screen such as mobile.

I usually combine both desktop and mobile phone but most of the time I use mobile since my trading strategy is always long term right after I determined the range of the price changes of certain token.

Most of the work can be done from your smartphone itself. But being an old skool guy I prefer using a laptop whenever I get the chance to trade and have my laptop nearby.

Often markets are swinging and these movements need to be caught and orders placed, for such swift takes, if your laptop is not on already, you might want to use your phone.

Using the laptop gives you more freedom to open many browser windows and sheets and multitask. This can be done on phone too but thats clunky.

         -     If safety is the basis, it is safer to use a desktop than a mobile device. Although the mobile device is only useful because of its portability, no matter where you go, you can open or do your trading activity as long as you have a data connection on your device. In short, the phone is very handy.

But it's still more convenient on the desktop because you can do your trading activity better. This is just my personal experience; it seems that for me, in case of emergency,
the phone device is okay.

Honestly speaking well for my own test using a smart phone to trade it really make my work faster but I will still say the PC is also good to but not fast for my test and also the smart phone is a portable device that can be carried easily around, well this may sound funny most time when I am going to the restroom and I have some important works to do at time I also do take my phone to the restroom and why also it can be use public place without people noticing you are trading.

Its also like the Tiger Woods concept.

If you are a good player, you dont need an expensive club to play Golf. If you are a horrible player then an expensive Golf club won't help you.

Its the same with trading. I see all these people with a trading setup of 5-6 monitors and all they do is lose money month after month. Then you got the seasoned whales which just trade off their phone and make thousands a month. Its up to the experience really when it comes to trading.

And you know how to saying goes. You cant teach experience, its something you just need to go thru to be a good trader.

To be honest, I use both. Let me elaborate it a bit. I use the laptop or big screen to analyze the chart and to read the patterns. Basically, I open TradingView with all the tools on the laptop. On the other hand, I select the quantity I need to buy and set the leverage to buy the coins on the phone. I do this so that I can get the coins faster at the desired price that I want. For many people, using two devices is not comfortable. I have also seen people completely avoiding phones while trading. This is because of the distractions, I guess.

Trading on mobile is more practical than doing it on a Laptop / PC, I chose on mobile because even when traveling, I can still do it in a simpler way in my hand.

Yeah doing analysis on mobile is limited by the small screen but if you are used to doing it on mobile it will be fine what you do, then when people are longer at home they will use Laptop/PC.

For now most trading is done on mobile.

I trade crypto regularly. I find that computer screens help me a lot for chart viewing. But I use phone for trading. Trading over the phone is more convenient which can be done on a laptop or computer but it is less interesting especially those who trade on the phone will be able to easily understand the difference. Moreover, a big advantage of the phone is that I get the opportunity to continue my trades in any situation, which would be a bit difficult to do on a larger device like a laptop. But for those who only use computers, the matter is completely different because they are used to do that so they will prefer laptop. According to me a new trader can easily learn trading through phone but laptop computer will not be as easy compared to phone.

Hmm, OP in order to execute the trades, I'd prefer a smartphone because it is more often accessible while for a desktop or laptop, you need to sit in front of them haha, but you need to know that while doing analysis smartphone is really troublesome. Mobile phones are always accessible if you've already done most of your analysis you can use the smartphone to execute trades easily.

So in my case, i prefer to use both of them on need.

Oh really? That was hilarious because for me it was the opposite. I guess that is because of my nature now because I'm mostly staying outdoors now, so the ones that I can hold at most times is my mobile. In my free time I can use it to check the market and do some analysis and then I can only finalize stuffs on the bigger screen once I arrived at my home.

OP already cleared out that the topic is only about cryptos but I think cryptos are more speculative than the others, so a fundamental analysis may not be really suitable for it but it seems I'm correct because at most times, I always see crypto traders talking about technical analysis.

Well, I prefer to trade on mobile phone but I usually enjoy trading on laptop because the view is really more amazing compared to mobile phone but because I don't usually go out with my laptop all time I find myself trading on phone mostly all the time and sometimes even while at home I still use phone because it has gotten used to me l, so am reluctant about using laptop for trading.

The view on laptops is more suitable than Mobile phones. Some phones reduces the quality of the views. I prefer using laptops to trade than phones. Although I am not a trader and I am not yet a Bitcoin investor but since I have a laptop at home, I prefer to use it for important things than phones. The advantage of Mobile phones is that you can use them anywhere you are as long as you are connected to the internet but some laptop that doesn't have strong battery capacity or dont last long you must need to plug them into electricity before you can power them.

What I meant is that if someone does not have a laptop, he can still use the exchange app on the mobile phone to make technical analyses. If the person is good, the person will still use the phone to make money from trading.
If a new trader is very focused in trading and keen to learn, they will not allow the fact that they do not have a laptop to learn trading stop them from trying to learn to use their phones to learn and make profit. Not having a laptop will just be another obstacle for them that they know they need to cross.

~
And it will difficult if the trader doesn't have a phone, good internet, fast thinker and quick fingers.
If you don't have a phone with good internet connection, and don't have a laptop as well, trading will be next to impossible to learn. To become a good trader, you need regular and consistent practice. You cannot use the laptop or mobile phone of someone else comfortably to learn trading and practice consistently.

the native app feeling of in the phone is unmatched by the laptop interface in my opinion, and the fact that the availability of phone in our hand is almost 24/7 means we just better off using phone for making some trades.

but laptop is a good way if we try to make technical analysis, can't really work out with the candle on super small phone screen, it'll at least require tabs for us to properly make technical analysis based on 4h candle or even lower.
so I choose phone.

The GUI is nicer on phone to me than computer. If it is tablet, it is also good but which is also either Android or iOS. Only what I like about the computer is bigger screen and not the GUI. Some people posted already that they use computer for making analyses while trading with phone. It is true that charts are better on computer.

About trading while not at home, I do not see it convenient for me. I prefer to just trade while I am at home which can help me to focus on what I am doing. If outside, I would be distracted.

For cryptocurrency trading I prefer trough mobile phone because have easily access than using laptop or computer taken our time before opening the market exchange.
I used mobile phone for trading in cryptocurrency around last three years ago because can access every where and every when without need to open computer or laptop firstly, all exchange recently have support with their application available for android and IOS make us not get difficult for monitoring about which one coins have to trade in cryptocurrency trading.

But for laptop is good way for trading because we can analyze chart easily and opening many tab for checking bad and good news for some coins before trade it, if comparison which one easily for trading I prefer with mobile phone because not get bigger space and long term moment when trading with laptop.

If we talk about comfort when using the features or indicators that we need, then a laptop or computer will make it easier for us, in other words on my cellphone I feel there are limitations in exploring. However, I can't be faced with a laptop or computer 24 hours a day and the duration of my holding a cellphone is definitely longer. For this, at certain times I use a laptop and at other times I only use a cellphone. For me, this is a flexible thing because I use both depending on the situation and conditions at that time. Some people may have different opinions about this because it is based on the situation, conditions and even our comfort when trading. So for me as long as we feel comfortable with the tools we use, then it depends on ourselves.

We can use any of these devices base on our preference towards them, this also will have to be determined by the kind of device we already have been used to in making trades, though we can be subjected to any change at any time for any other device by any circumstances around, but we are going to see from the experience we have using them, the one we most prefer to use, even though there are factors to be considered as well before choosing a preferable devise, some can operate a mobile device than they can do on a laptop, some will also make it clear that they like the way their chart is being displayed on the laptop than on phone and many more reason for everyone to decide on which is most preferred to them, i will prefer the use of phone in my own case.

indeed, in terms of interface, it will be more comfortable to use a laptop, especially for those who trade daily. of course, it takes time and there may be many tabs opened at the same time. I also feel more comfortable using a laptop than a phone.
using a phone to trade may be simpler because it can be used anywhere. if it is related to withdrawals to fiat or transfers to other people, I think it is more comfortable to use a phone. it can be done quickly.

like your deed, it all depends on the habits and comfort of the trader himself.

But base on one place to carry out your crypto trading, I guess laptop is the best because it will make everything bold or big in your trading, and it will be difficult for you to make mistakes like the way some people use to make mistakes by using phone to trade in the market sometimes.

So far, trading on mobile phones is more in demand by traders because it is simpler even though it has the same features, it is just a little complicated to do technical analysis on mobile phones.

Of course trading on a laptop or computer is much more extensive but you have to sit upright all the time in trading while trading on a cell phone you can lie on the couch enjoying the comfort, yeah some people will be different they do but so far cell phones are like more in demand.

Every exchange has now set up their trading apps to be as simple as possible and have features that are easier to understand.

We need to remember that it is not going to be something that will take like some sort of exact answer to figure out a "correct" way to do this, just do whatever feels better. I personally like PC because it has a lot more details and I am in front of my PC all day everyday anyway, so not like I am at the chair and go up and go sit down on my pc and do it, I am already here and that's why it's easier for me and I get to see all the charts, the analysis I do, the indicators and what not.

With the phone, you are not doing any of that, the result isn't always great and you end up with almost nothing at all. I would say that is the worst part of this and it doesn't end that well for everyone and we need to figure out a way to avoid that if we can. Just focus on what we can do, it will definitely make a great return and we need to focus on what we can do, it will definitely make a good reasoning for it, and the result will not be that bad if we do what we enjoy.

Yes, if you are a person who is really that actively making some transit or really that moves from one place to another then it would really be best on doing trading on your mobile phone. We do have exchange apps nowadays on which it is really that already that similar to those pc website application in speaking about indicators on which you wont really be that putting up yourself on tough situation just because
you are already that able to do such analysis with those kind of application on which it is really that a great convenience. There are really just that those individuals who wont really be that liking on
using up mobile phones just because they cant really be able to bare up with that monitor screen size or simply on the screen on which i do partly agree into this one because i've been used to like on PC when it comes to trading.

If you are someone whose really just that static and doesnt really have any errands or something that needs up for you to travel actively then it would really be that normal that you would really be
choosing up PC over mobile. Just like on what everyone is really that telling on here is that it would really be that totally depending into someones preference when it comes to this manner.
Not all would really be sharing up with the same interest and perceptions on things on which they would really be normally sticking into those things on which they would feel out comfortable.

It depends on what you want to do. To analyze charts or see things like finding rates, open interests and trade data, etc, then using a computer is better. But it comes to trade management (creating orders, closing orders, setting TPs and SLs, etc) then you need to be with your phone especially if you're going to be away from your computer, you'd need your phone to be able to manage those trades incase if goes against you and you have to close, adjust targets / stop losses.

Charting on a Mobile device is not the best experience that's why some very experienced traders even use multiple monitors.

Pretty much it just depends on where I am. If I'm outside, then phone will be my choice to trade then if I'm inside my house then laptop is my daily driver. I'm not a person to choose one or another, if those are really beneficial for me to use when I need it. The ability to have both is way too good.

As for comfortability, using crypto exchanges on desktop mode is way more comfortable to me because the graph is way easier to look at and to navigate the menus are way better than in mobile where every features are stacked in one icon where there is no clear indications where to look at your features do you want.

Placing of trades is much easier with phone and but making analysis before taking the trade is more easier and conducive using laptops or bigger screens. I may be wrong though but this is what I feel and how I do my analysis on laptop before going to take an instant trade or limit order on my phone. Most traders are like this, they make analysis through their systems or other screen and take the trades using their phones. Using phone is always faster for immediate action on the trade than using laptop. But overall, it still depends on mastery and how you’ve learnt over the years and how those things works for you before you’ll make a choice to the one you’ll stick to.

There are things to consider in choosing what to trade with;
  • For convenience, use laptop.
  • For being available and close to your trade, use phone.
  • For nice analysis, use laptop.
  • The small time I have traded, it's with my phone.
  • Phone brings you closer to your trade every time.

I NEVER use the phone for convenience and security reasons (I'm probably too old to use the phone easily).
I haven't seen any good trading app that can be used from a phone or a smartphone.

I find it much clearer, more accessible and easier to use the laptop. in general I have always done any trading from a laptop

Whether it's forex or crypto trading, I'm more comfortable using a PC than a smartphone - that's because a PC provides a better experience, a larger screen, and much better multitasking than a smartphone can offer. On a PC you can also access various tools that can help your trading become even better. As for smartphones, it's good to use them as monitoring devices when traveling, so we can find out how our account is doing and take action as quickly as possible if needed.
