I don’t follow this league match since I’m from State U but UAAP is same with PBA that only few schools dominate the league since they monopolize good players on their roster. Wealthy school are the one who benefits on this league since there’s no balance that can be applied on this league because there’s no form of drafting to distribute talented players.

I think DLSU can defend their title with their in tact roster but ofc there’s always a threat that a team like UP can knock them if they become overconfident. Where do you watch these games regularly?

I think you should update your thread for the general information of the league such as the teams, rankings , etc.

Yeah it seems a pretty good match but will support my school which isnt from both. But exciting all teams gathered different players or new players to watch out for. Ive only watched from streamers but depends I might subs on the sports channel for a while to watch upcoming games.

I notice that you update already the OP. I’m not familiar on how the UAAP tournament mechanics, can you explain why there’s a round 1 and round 2?

Is this just the regular season then elimination rounds as round 1 and 2? I will try to do more research on the league to help you on the update including the schedule and tournament format.

Also I’m seeking for a streaming website to watch this online. Let’s make this thread alive.

Yes the round 1 and 2 are for elimination rounds then going to final four for top school scorer then finals for the final match up.

Surely there will be streaming websites only this tournament is I think more famous than PBA leagues in my opinion.

So excited to update this the results of upcoming games.

Haven't watch UAAP games for a while now as i have no more television as i rely more on social media for news and information that is going around the Philippines and the world hehe.

I hope you will update the thread and give some tips on what team to bet because most of us here are only watching the PBA.

I'm glad to see we have this thread. This league is easy to follow due to the limited number of games, and since there are already betting odds for the games, I think it deserves its own thread. Is Ateneo still the team with the most championships? Also, I’d like to ask, is there free live streaming of the games on Facebook or YouTube?

Yeah will update the thread and give some updates. I normally support my school and bet on it but for friendly game only hehe. I am a huge fan of UAAP more than PBA and its also got a lot of audience too.

Nope they havent gone into finals strong team now are UP and DLSU for last year and even now but will see which team has a strong force during first round. Yes there are free live streaming on facebook those guys who are streaming it or ask for gcash payment in the screen.

Exciting times ahead for UAAP Season 87! I'm really looking forward to seeing how the teams perform this year. Ateneo has historically been strong, but recently DLSU definitely has the potential to defend their title, especially with their solid lineup. But as we all know, anything can happen in UAAP, and teams like UP are always ready to shake things up if given the chance.

As for streaming, I've been on the hunt for reliable options too. It would be awesome to keep this thread active with updates on games, standings, schedules, results, streaming links and maybe even some betting tips!

To be honest, I don't follow UAAP nor NCAA but because of our national team picking players from there, it seems that the calibers can be spotted there like what we have now KQ and Mason.

Anyone watched the games? Whose here are bettor for the games?
I haven't but it seems that there's also excitement on this league with these college basketball players and they're becoming on a different level.

Yes these league has way more than hype than PBA in my opinion plus they got a lot of audiences on venue when they got schefule of games. Plus the schools supported the team which they belong and even give some free tickets to student sometimes. My alma matter gave tickets sometime too for support.

That's normal for collegiate basketball; they have a lot of loyal supporters, as their school students are already backing them. Even professional leagues generally have a large fan base, often more than college leagues. However, the PBA seems to be an exception nowadays, as you can see many empty seats at their venues, which suggests a decline in live attendance.

That's a lot of money for the kid but it just shows us that he is loyal to La Salle and I think that amount is little compared to what he will get in the future as this kid has the potential to be a star in the PBA or even in the foreign league.

I think there's chance that Lasalle might be offering or almost the same amount to him in my opinion plus maybe he also like to finish his degree too and uaap series of his career. We know how huge DLSU school is and possibility of having offer with that some of money could also be given to him as offer or allowance.

With his size, I believe he has a chance to make it to the NBA. Finishing his course is important, as it might be a requirement if he wants to enter the NBA draft. As for the PBA, he'll surely be drafted, but is it worth it? If he wants to maximize his opportunities, playing overseas might be a better option if his NBA dream doesn't materialize.

He was hyped during his time with SGA when they fought for the championship but came up short. After that, we haven't heard much about him, even though he played with Gilas in the FIBA. He wasn’t a starter and didn’t make a big impact on the team. But that’s understandable since he's still young and has a lot to learn. He just needs to keep improving, and one day he could reach his ultimate dream as a basketball player.

So, what are the bookies that offer odds for this particular league?

While there is also politics in the UAAP but it's not that much compared to PBA. IMHO, the UAAP is producing more NBA caliber players and this is the era where it is starting. And the PBA, they don't care about that, they're all good playing again and again and having the same team becoming the champion for the same conference because they're the biggest companies that are also contributing to make the league healthier. But it's also nice to see that many companies are showing interest to UAAP.

Not sure what bookies are offering but for sure there is. But most of my colleagues and friends just do the betting like call call per person (not gambling on site) but got their own self assigned odds.

But it's also nice to see that many companies are showing interest to UAAP.
Yeah there are big companies tied with the UAAP schools like akari/ gatorade and many more. Also talking about Alumni funds, surely theres a lot of money.

Yeah, there's a lot of money and these players of theirs are even getting the privilege like a superstar in the PBA so they won't ask for more.
Tomorrow, these are matches;

- Adamson vs. DLSU
- UST vs. Ateneo

Good luck bettors. KQ is popular on this era.

Indeed, it is high time for the UAAP basketball team to prepare for its 87th season, and I see you're ready to bet on the game. Results of the First Competition It seems that DLSU, or De La Salle University, has started strongly with its win in the first match. The team is well organized, and its previous performances have been indications of a strong contender this year.

Still, it's worth considering that the season is still young and the other teams like UP, UST, and ADU are now starting to do well with their victories. The more the elimination round progresses, everything evolves: from the team dynamics to the injuries and every other adjustment within the teams. That plays a significant role in determining the final match winner.

The depending champion will hold the title for sure?
That's possible because they have a stronger roster today. They are making sure that they're going to have a back to back title for this year.
But we'll see, it's not always like that we expect them to do the same and the league for this season has just started so there could be more to it.

I'm with you, with the strong roster that De La Salle University has, they are definitely one to watch, but this season is still in its infancy. The dynamics of the league change and other teams do their adjustments and improvement which could affect results.

It pays a lot to be flexible and monitor the performance of your team as the season unfolds. The ranking might suffer from unexpected developments and changes. Thus, while a strong start by DLSU is promising, competition will most likely heat up. We will see how things turn out.

Yeah posted the sched on the OP too. It seems this will be great and can move on now with the possible ranking since there will be rank 1 now starting tomorrow since Adu and dlsu both got a win and the winner tomorrow automatically will be top 1 on rank.

Well kinda see also if UST changed and improved now. Probably its quite awkward for Padrigao (Point guard of UST) that they will face his old team mates now.

That's true, the season has just started and there's more to watch from all of these teams. While the spotlight is on the DLSU because of the stint of its player done in the World Cup qualifiers, still there are a lot of variations to come and yet, they're a very promising team that might take the title again.

Hi mate, you could watch it via Cignal Play. I did downloaded the app and make a subscription for premium for only P154 montly maybe this will took 3months but still cheap to watch it everytime theres a game. Before I only watch on streaming on fb but it wucks when interrupeted due to turned down if Facebook or Youtube flagged the streamer.

Haven't watch UAAP games for a while now as i have no more television as i rely more on social media for news and information that is going around the Philippines and the world hehe.

I hope you will update the thread and give some tips on what team to bet because most of us here are only watching the PBA.

I haven't really been following up with the game for a while now after De la Salle University lost against Ateneo De Malina university in 2018.
I actually had a physical bet on it with a friend and after the COVID-19 pandemic I haven't been much interested with the games.
But however @ bisdak40, you can still stay updated with the game as long as you've internet access. Then probably you wouldn't wait for the Op to update the thread.
Guess I've just reminded you that you can still watch the game with your internet devices while you no more rely on your TV. 😆

UP                                   1          0
UST                                 2          0
ADU                                1          1
NU                                   0          1
FEU                                 0          1
UE                                   0          1
Here is the current scores of the team that do  good for the first few games I think in terms of betting I'll stick to team like DLSU, UP and UST looks like these three are the most strong team in this season but since its still a lot of match up havent seen, we can see more standing soon.

But however @ bisdak40, you can still stay updated with the game as long as you've internet access. Then probably you wouldn't wait for the Op to update the thread.
I am updating it from time to time. Dont worry.

As the game schedules are already there, where do you watch guys when you're away from the free TV? Any social media about it because I can't find it on their own.
Will that work even I don't have the virtual box? Because I know that cignal has its virtual box like the tv plus. I'm not sure with that but if it's only 154 pesos per month and it's through the app then that's really a convenient thing to subscribe for.

Yes without virtual box its working. Just download the app cignal Play and register its just like subscribing to a  netflix plan. I am using that an able to watch not just Uaap but other such as PBA sometimes, showtime live and many more mate. The price is cheap anyway and youll not be hassle to find streamers if you wanna watch any games.

I was hoping to purchase one when our signal interrupts with a lot of channels. Anyway, La Salle won against Ateneo, another rivalry game but La Salle shows their dominance still.

No problem mate. Its easier to subscribe than to watch livestream sometimes it got interrupted. Yeah DLSU is really strong already got 3-0 it seems the final 2 slots already booked for DLSU and UP and the rest will fight for the remaining 2 slots and still an early grasp since few games has been seen. Wait until round 1 ended and will see the strong teams in the league.

Seems to me that DLSU is really aiming for this as their main man KQ declined huge offers just to play for his team for the last time, though they known rival UP is also in the rally of bringing that trophy to katipunan, and just like you to early for that as there are games that needed to complete and teams are competiting we never what will be the conclusion just wait and see who'll be competing for the finals.

Yeah, those livestreams sometimes gets really interrupted and that's annoying when the game is already exciting. And the better thing about being subscribed is we can watch it anywhere we are if the games are there.

I think we will know the match up if those two team fights on the first round but their schedule is last game it seems everyone saving the best for the last match. Both team doesnt have lose yet but today around 6:30Pm UP will fight against NU a strong team as well. We can see if they will smoothly defeat them.

While UE and FEU will clash on first game both still need a win here.

You can also check out Pilipinas Live mate.
That’s what I’m using now, and it’s focused entirely on sports. I see they have different options for what you want to watch, like:

1- FIBA 2- PBA 3- NBA 4- UAAP 5- PBL 6- MPBL

All the local basketball leagues are available there.

Take a look at their website for pricing, it’s pretty affordable too!

What a game for UP though not done yet but the score is really huge, just like watching SMB against Ginebra last time where SMB massacre the gin kings, seems that UP will take this game, almost 40 points lead in the 3rd  quarter not unless there's a huge rally from NU or UP will relax and not using their advantage not using the clock then maybe but with that huge deficits most of the time heavy favorites will just take the game, congrats in advance Kabayan if ever that you manage to follow your instinct betting for UP

However, I cannot see the price of their service and the website doesn't have any other clickable images or links to check more details about this. Yeah watched it too actually watching all the games as I love Uaap games. Thats a tragedy for NU this huge gap means a lot of something in the team strategy or it jist show how strong UP is. So the two teams really in the top are UP and DLSU and likely to face off during finals but theres a lot of time to catch up. I think the end of round 1 will seal its positions and maybe a come back for round 2 for other teams.

Oh no @bisdak40 even I choose NU with the additional odds still gonna lose the huge difference is a massacre for NU.

Updated the ranks and scores of UAAP schools.

That dominance shows how tough UP now, though like what you mentioned too early to conclude still have games to catch up and we never know what fate will be for those remaining teams who still competing, for now, DLSU and UP but who knows coming 2nd round UST and ADMU and the rest will bounce back and chase for the final appearance.

Let see what's going to happen as it is still in the first round and adjustments can't be done for the betterment of teams.

I have not place a bet on that game kabayan as i'm just getting to know who are the strong teams in the UAAP and with that game yesterday i could say that UP is one of the teams to beat in the UAAP this season so i'm not betting against them.

BTW, when will be the next playing date for the UAAP kabayan?

Well, it's easy. Just create an account first, then click the three lines at the top right. You'll see "manage plan" there. That's where you can make the payment. There are a lot of payment options too. For me, I subscribed for one month at just P149.

To be honest, the logo three lines at the top don't work but I just removed the "app/moreinfo" and it has put me to the log in. But then after going to the registration, I've clicked then the lines and they've worked. I'm not sure about that but thanks bro, this is actually a good website to watch not just UAAP but also other sports.

What a game for today as UST beat NU it seems the Padrigao PointGod is working his team offense but a very nice game from both team. Meanwhile the 2nd game ateneo vs adamson got a single game up for ateneo, the adu recover but couldnt seal a draw or able to capitalize on some free throws. Finally a win for ateneo today.

Tomorrows game would be against UP and FEU while main match is for DLSU and UE.

That was an upset. UE won against DLSU with just 4 points 75-71. When KQ was interviewed, he said that he's on a bad luck.
Those shots that he made were unlucky and didn't got in. This even was labelled as the mother of all upsets. LOL, these sportswriters of ours really are good giving a head up with these reports. Well done UE.  ;D

Very crucial FT for possible OT plus factor, KQ is the main star of DLSU not expecting but like what he said not he's luck, better luck to them as they tied the spot with UST it's now UP on the top spot with that upset game from UE, it will be a learning eperienced for KQ and for sure will motivate him more to play harder, congrats UE!

Season 87th UAAP Basketball tournament.
UAAP schools
                                     Win     Lose
ADMU                             1          3
DLSU                              3          1
UP                                   4          0
UST                                 3          1
ADU                                2          2
NU                                  1          3
FEU                                 0          4
UE                                   2          2

Team standing (Updated)
1st  - UP
2nd - DLSU
3rd - UST
4th - ADU
5th - UE
6th - NU
7th - ADMU
8th - FEU

That was an upset. UE won against DLSU with just 4 points 75-71. When KQ was interviewed, he said that he's on a bad luck.

Cant say much for KQ but the performance of UE probably change the morality of all teams out there. Imagine beating the defensive champion in their own pace. DLSU must be pretty pissed for sure. The trajectory of the standing really unpredictable like

UE beat DLSU
UST beat ADMU and NU
ADMU beat ADU
ADU beat UST

its really unsure whether the strongest team can retain their dominance except for UP which proves their still unbeatable yet.

It's just game though but it's true that this is going to give them more motivation to practice more and be a good help in the times of need.
When the crucial games come, they have no option but to be at their very best so that no disappointing results will be blamed again on any of them.

One of the best game of UE and surely the next opponent of DLSU will be brutally outplayed since these guys are devastated by the loss and the only thing they are thinking right now is to win.

Btw we have games sched for today.

DLSU vs FEU
ADU vs NU

The first game seems already been concluded by the match up but its interesting for the main match both came up with a loss by their previous matches so its gonna be a hard try game.

I’ll throw a few dollars on the first game and back the Green Archers. This will be their bounce-back game after that disappointing loss to the Red Warriors. I think La Salle will win and cover the spread.

Wow did you win with the odds? Lasalle win via feu with 68-62 a 4 points different. If the score was like that means still lose on bet game right? Since the odds is like a huge plus for feu in this game.

Maybe the spread isnt that far on this one but tough game too for dlsu, since feu throwing some good plays too.

Yup kabayan bisdak lose his pick as DLSU didn't cover the handicap FEU manage to keep that distance not too far, I was in the impression that after the first half DLSU will completely dominates FEU but it turned that FEU got some more gas before they run out of it and lose the game, they did not allow DLSU to overrun them and just throwing white flag but they gave DLSU a good fight, better luck next time kabayan!

Oh what a game though but the second game between Adu and NU was so intense, the last 0.3seconds is amazing for Adu camp a very well executed play by their coach. Imagine the seconds left and still manage to score and win the game that should be an overtime game. For sure NU players are so down now seeing that tragic loss. Their standing drop tremendously.

We see that these matches are so close and the score tallies aren't that far from each other. That means that the competition is tough and the teams have the edge against each other.

I lost my bet on the Green Archers and Tamaraws game. I thought La Salle would blow out the Tamaraws as they led by double digits at one point in the third quarter, but FEU managed to cut the lead to just one entering the fourth quarter. It was a nice game, though. Losing is part of the game, hehe.

I'm thinking the same way. I don't watch UAAP live, just replays on YouTube. Then, knowing FEU's standing against DLSU bettors like me would definitely choose to bet DLSU, even I thought DLSU would blow out FEU. In the first quarter, they were already getting blown out so you wouldn't expect the game to end up being close. I even thought FEU was going to win. lol

I did not watch the game but with how Adu take that win it was a very intense with that dying seconds left they manage to execute and win the game, that's something more on trust and practices that they have that confidence working together to win the game, let see if how those remaining games during this eliminations will proceed more games like this will give decent interest from viewers who loves supporting their alma matter and fans who loves the game.

Oh maybe you mean ADU since they are the one who won the game. It should be an overtime game but with the smooth play by Adamson, they ended it with a nice score with NU, but I doubt they will be having hard time for their next match as they will be facing the undefeated UP maroons.

I do hope NU cope with their next game.

Thanks for correcting me, I edit my reply and change it to Adu and like you mentioned after that win let see if they bring that winning mentality against the heavy favorite UP, this team still unbeatable they've got a complete squad as the 2nd unit still good in terms of running the system, let see if how Adu handle thier next opponent.

Same deal, hopefully NU will learn from that and start planning the system that will counter those kinds of setup.

Yes same with dlsu before its just that this team is quite strong and complete package. Though any teams can break them as soon as their morale is down. Plus adamson has a rivalry with them since season 85. I think if theres a team who can beat them its probably them.

Continuous defense will make UP falter a little bit. Adamson is one of the top defensive team and lots of blockage inside the paint so it wont be an easy play unless UP plans to attack outside the rim.

Wow that's good to know, if Adu beats UP then it will be more interesting as both UP and DLSU will shared that same spot once more, though I'm not sure if Adu will be able to handle UP I mean after seeing those previous games of UP personally I can say that they are too much to handle hahaha 😆 😂  but we all know that there's nothing impossible as in our language "bilog ang bola, ika nga" let see if what will going to happen,.

Watched the game I thought UP would be lose in thus match since the first quarter score is like a 22 lead by Adamson but the pace change from 2nd to 4th quarter. It seems Adu dont able to continue the pace of the game and UP outscore them. Adu can win if they able to maintain their scoring every rally but it seems UP defense and offense are far effective.

Definitely an intense game! The comeback from UP is definitely a game changer. Adamson must have felt sunk with their performance on the 3rd to the 4th quarter. The 69-57 score victory keeps them undefeated right? They definitely had a great game.

Yeah, still undefeated as they manage to crushed Adu on the 2nd half, it was a slow start for UP but right after they've gain their composer they start to overrun and dominate the game, it's a good game though for Adu as they try to keep it but eventually run out of gas as UP keeps on pushing them and really running to snatch this win and continue thier dominance.

Still clean stats 5-0 during this elimination round, let see if what's awaits them good luck mga kabayan!

Yes they are still undefeated. I felt sad for adu who took a big advantage during first half it seems that their weakness to continue or maintain their lead until the end. They likely to win their game for always an upset matches.

On the other hand, UE defeated NU. I think NU has lost a lot of matches unlucky since its a close fight as always. Maybe due to their lack of FSA which is quite injured at the moment.

Update:

Later today we have 2 games scheduled.
UP vs UST 4:30pm PH time
UE vs ADMU 6:30pm PH time.

I am interested with the 2nd game or main event since UE has make a season progress since last year and they never won against ateneo for a long time. It would be interesting to see if they will triumph now vs ateneo.

The point guard Abate seems like a hidden gem for UE, too bad that Remogat leave their side cause I can see them on final contender if Remogat will side by side with them.
