Transaction fees have gotten cheap enough to where we might be able to pull off a pre-pay auction, so I am going to attempt something new.  Being that this is a pre-pay auction, it is open to everyone regardless of lack of reputation, etc.

THE PRIZE will be a 1oz silver BTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1637562.0) or LTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4425160.0) binary round of your choice out of whatever I have in stock (I also have a single Chinese Panda & single Year of the Dog coin one person can choose).

There is a fee to enter, but if "d" is selected as the winner then EVERYONE WINS. If anyone else is selected, only they win the prize.

Come one come all and put your coins into the pot for a chance to make me give away 15 ounces of silver for the small price of however many BTC I said in the OP. Is there something I can add to the pot to help entice people to take my silver? Maybe saying I’ll toss in some additional goodies? I’ve got some t-shirts and I’m not scared to bribe potential participants…

I’m going to choose the word (a) as my name. I really appreciate your giveaway. I think the reason not many people are participating might be due to the money transfer, plus the $5 fee that the Bitcoin network charges. That would already be $13. While it’s not a lot of money, it’s understandable that you need to make something from it. I would suggest having a second and third winner: the first winner could get the Bitcoin prize, the second the LTC silver prize, and the third could receive a T-shirt, as you mentioned. This way, I believe the giveaway would be more successful, as there would be more chances to win something. :)

What wallet are you sending the payment from that is charging $5 in fees. I just sent payment for
a second slot which cost me $1.16c from Coinbase. Check your fees settings, fees should not be that expensive.

T-shirts are always nice but realistically its Silver I'm after!!

It seems like the signups have lost steam. I guess it doesn’t really matter if it fills up or not. It just means a higher chance of me having to give everyone coins, but it also means I have less coins to give away. Anyone have any objections to running it before it fills up and ignoring any empty spots? B-N-B you should send your entry fee. :)

Hi friend, I think you should raffle among those who have already paid, and the winner should take the coin. It wouldn't be fair for you to give the silver coin to everyone (unless the word "D" comes up). You're already doing enough for the community by raffling off the coins; it seems like a kind act. Bullion-n-BTC works kind of off grid for long lengths of time. I was messaging him for
a while without response then when he was back online he replied to me, that was
about 3 weeks ago, I suspect he is back working so we may not hear from him for
over a month!

So what’s the right move to make here? I don’t want to assume that he will make payment and then have things go bad somehow, so I’m leaning towards removing him from the drawing and moving forward with the participants we currently have. The only other option being continuing to wait for more participants, but I get the sense that folks are getting antsy.

That’s one way to solve that issue. Thank you for doing that. It can get a bit dangerous to navigate the auction waters at times when things like this pop up. With that problem solved, I think I should set some sort of deadline so this can get done. I’m not sure I want to commit to a hard time right now, so let us say that sometime between Friday and Sunday I’ll choose a block to get this going. Entries accepted until we have a winner (txid must be confirmed).

Thank you guys! I can make all the cool products and offers in the world but if nobody takes advantage then there’s no fun. My job has me coming and going at random times for days or weeks at a time and this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.
