This is a misplacement of priorities, i am 100% in support of that ban, you can't be mixing work hours most especially one that deals on saving lives and focus on tapings or mining that there is no every certainty of making good profits from them. There should be time for everything, work hours should be maintained to carry out work functions while breaks and any other can be decided on what to do with it.

My brothers and sisters this telegram matter don dey too much oh. I dey even fear say drivers fit dey mine as dem dey drive because people no want miss any opportunity oh.
E get this bike man wey carry me one day, omor immediately the man drop me na so him bring out him phone from bag begin they open tap tap, this man never collect money from me sef, that one show say the man just they quick hurry to drop me so him go continue dey tap. I no blame them sha because hand touch everybody, so e good as every body dey tap, but the problem be say make we try understand times and when to carry out that function to avoid unforeseen consequences.

The title is confusing unless you read the content. This does not fall under crypto mining directly because most people that does not read the content could have first thought of PoW and the use of hospital electricity. All the tapping projects fall under play-to-earn (P2E) and airdrops.

E reach for them to put that kind of sanction because from the experience I don get during the time when tap swap been the burst plenty people head, most workers no fit de concentrate again and then wan de work still de do tapping as thier main task.

The hospital na one place when require an high level of concentration of her workers to understand what's happening with the patient and never get distracted at any point in time. When you allow all this young nurses to use thier device as they want and get involved in tapping that is associated distracting as anything, you're endangering the lives of the people in the hospital. Even for drivers and passengers, some passengers go just enter inside vehicle,  and immediately them sit-down, the next thing they pick out na thier phone and they will continue tapping till they've gotten to thier destination. There are times that drivers might be over spreading or might not observe certain things that only the passengers can help him with, when they get distracted to that extent extent, accident will certainly become inevitable.

Part of wetin de follow cause this thing na say the money when them de pay those health workers no even de reasonable and as them don see say this one na the side hustle when them fit de do take get small money join thier salary, they're left with no option than to do at workplace. This kind of ban is a good one and it doesn't mean that the hospital is against crypto. Every institution has thier mode of operation and for one that's in charge of people's lives, it's only good that they become really strict on things like this to avert casualty.

My man laugh wan finish me as I read this your comment. Thank God say the guy even pack the bike before him begin to tap. The way the country raze, people dey hussle all corner to make ends meet.

Omo no be lie boss, as I see the topic na watin first cross ma mind be this like how possible sey dem go dey mine crypto for the hospital as in real time mining with the power gigs and tech machines because even mining as whole in the country dey limited due to the disadvantage of power although their are some private own mining company with their gadgets or person mining solo but e no be like the way e be for places wey steady power dey.

Is good that those hospital banned crypto from there workers during working hours because the obsession about mining is becoming something to be concerned about especially those working in the hospital because if there are so many other work that requires full attention hospital works should be the number that deserves full attention because it involves people's life and the moment your attention is divided you become a threat to the patients whereas administering a wrong medication that would possibly course a medical issues to the patient.

OP is good you share this information because this is what has been going on in most hospitals especially the public hospitals, nurses no longer care much about the people they are supposed to look into, last few days I went to visit someone in the hospital when I saw this nurses very buy mining crypto with there phone during there working hours if not that they were reported to there manager that's how they would have been neglecting there work for pleasure.

Though there is nothing wrong with someone who decided to go into crypto mining but there should be a kind of boundary or limitation that during there working hours they would do nothing but concentrate on there work, maybe after there shift they can decide to do whatever mining they want.

Normally it is good for hospital staffs to concentrate on their work because they are dealing with the life of people but because of the rate of inflation and salaries are still the same, they will surely lose focus and look for something that can generate money for them to add to their salary to meet up with their demands. The country is hard and depending on a source of income is not enough. They are not to be blame if they try to engage themselves on something else. This will always be the outcome when government are not trying their best to make things to be better for the season.
When the people are hungry they will do anything possible that can help them to survive. The worst of everything is that the government are not making any effort to make things better.

There should be time for everything, work hours should be maintained to carry out work functions while breaks and any other can be decided on what to do with it.
obviously, it's a misplaced priority on the side of the workers. How do you turn the normal working hour into playing of crypto games when you're working in a sector that deals with the protection of lives? Ethically speaking, it's against the policy of most company to engage in activity that has the potential of hindering your productivity or engage in an activity that's unsafe either to your life or that of the people you're working with. In the event that a death occured as a result of the distraction that's caused from the shift in concentration of the nurse due to his engagement in the airdrop, the hospital can be suid and the only way to avoid that kind of thing ever happening is to ban workers from mining during official working hours.
E get this bike man wey carry me one day, omor immediately the man drop me na so him bring out him phone from bag begin they open tap tap, this man never collect money from me sef, that one show say the man just they quick hurry to drop me so him go continue dey tap. that's to tell you that such a person can easily become absent-minded while driving because his attention is already divided. If not that some people want to overdo the mining, should people be mining the manner at which they are doing? If you do most of the task before leaving the house for work and allow your bot keep tapping for you while your cab just come back in the event to claim the already mined point, you wouldn't need to do the tapping all day.

In a normal circumstance is not reasonable for someone to get involve in another activity while working because it could lead to a lot of damage in his or her work place, for me I see nothing wrong in banning crypto mining during work hours, working in a hospital is a big responsibility because if you are careless someone may die, just imagine they rush an accident victim into a hospital were everyone including the doctors are busy mining with there phone so is not advisable for some to min during work hours wait when you go home or after work hours you can min.
I know things are difficult in this country and everyone is looking for a way to survive even the pay in those hospitals are very low and people are looking for a way to step up however one should not hustle in a way it will affect the next person or the place of our work.

The truth of the matter be say, the Nigerian economy no balance again, if to say the economy of our country balance at least no be everybody for they do airdrop mining during their working hours.
Now, make we focus on the hospital workers, those pipo no supposed to dey do any other activities during their working hours because their job no be something way person suppose to carry play at all. If them won dedicate their time to airdrop or crypto trading them supposed to do am wen them dey less busy or instead quite their job and focus on crypto.
And again, any driver way dey drive for road con dey tap em phone say nah airdrop mining nai em dey do they endanger em life and the life of em passengers. Besides no be even every airdrop they pay better money. Those way leave their better jobs con dey do airdrops mining nah pipo way go also leave their jobs con dey gamble during their working hours.

Normally, the healthcare sector is not supposed to be treated lightly; anything that has to do with people's lives should be given extra attention because even a two-second mistake can lead to death. So yeah, prohibition is needed because some people don't know how to differentiate between work and extracurricular activities; they don't know how to create a work life balance, so this regulation will help.

You can't serve two masters at the same time. You can't be a health worker in an established firm and also be a tapper; one aspect will suffer, and that risk shouldn't be placed on people's lives.
Healthcare workers can utilize break hours or lunch hours, or when they get home before sleep. They can also help from junior siblings to play games or assist with tasks while focusing on professional work ethics. It's harmful to be distracted while working.

I don't know how management conveyed the message to their workers, but it's necessary in the health sector and other industries, as we collectively contribute to the country's well-being. Otherwise, over time, we will notice increasing casualties due to distractions, as some people struggle with multitasking and can be easily distracted from performing their duties diligently.

Omo play to earn (P2E) don take over almost all Nigerians wey know about airdrops because everybody no one dey left out for this side hustle since some people don already cash out from the previous ones and the problem be say these airdrop participants no dey care where them dey wether for work or anywhere na sos so tap them go just dey tap. Imagine my son school teacher dey always tap when she suppose to dey teach, once na e the pupils tell their parents and these parents report give the school management wey make them come put strong warning and law say any teacher wey them see dey tap for school go lose half of e salary.

When I first saw this memo on someone's Whatsapp status about the prohibition on the hospital workers by the management against engaging in crypto mining activities I thought it was just one usually random social media joke till I come search online about am to verify the information and loo and behold it was true. Below is the memo:
We are talking about people way dey saddled with responsibility of human lives way any small mistake or act of forgetfulness on attending to a patient in administering their medication wen due go fir lead to loss of life because that time the nurse or doctor been the distracted on performing some mining project task. So for me this is a right decision by the management to prevent anything that can cause loss of lives. They can always perform their crypto tasks at home not while on hospital duty.

OP you suppose change the topic title as person way get knowledge about crypto, you know say tap tap tap no be crypto mining. The person way write the article fit no know the difference na make him put am like that. Na you suppose correct your own.

The ban no bad at all. Already general hospitals no value human life, I dey talk am from my own personal experience. The doctors and staff no send you at all whether you dey in pains or not. So imagine say them come get another thing (tap tap tap) way them dey do way go give them money. Them go just abandon their patients dey play P2E games till work close. I salute the state government for the good work way them do. Who no get money to go private hospital still deserve to be treated like human being.

That's what I wanted to even say sef, before I noticed say you don already point am out for O.P, because I could noticed say Charles Tim don already correct O.P, but still wondering what is keeping him or her to effect the correction made. Because I think the correct title for this for be "Naija Hospital don ban Telegram Mini Apps airdrop mining during work hours" and not generalizing it.

However, what that hospital did was actually the best decision ever, of which inasmuch as we go when blame those workers for using working hours to mine airdrops, let us not forget to also blame the government to increasing the hardship amongst us in this country, of which nobody wan hear say this thing dey pay, and they no go choke head, just to earn a dollar, to meet up to daily basic needs. So for the workers, it's advisable that every official time is ought to be respected for effective hospital operations.

The hospital management made a good decision by ban crypto mining during work hours, demonstrating their understanding of their responsibilities. This is  important in a hospital setting where lives ar at stake. The prevalence of telegram mining in Naija has led to a culture of seeking quick money, as many individuals struggle to make ends meet with their salaries. However, it's essential to prioritize patient care and follow management instructions. While workers have the right to engage in cryptocurrency mining, it's appropriate to do so outside of work hours or at home. The management has made a sensible decision.

That's a serious misconduct to one's work ethics as you cannot be on active service during work hours and be distracted by the telegram mini game apps of tapping and farming airdrops. I don't see the professionalism in tapping and engaging in other telegram games in the hospital when you're meant to address your patients. I wonder how negligible we are working in such sensitive workplace and still be carried away with such play-to-earn games.

The title is confusing unless you read the content. This does not fall under crypto mining directly because most people that does not read the content could have first thought of PoW and the use of hospital electricity. All the tapping projects fall under play-to-earn (P2E) and airdrops.

I hope we can really understand the differences. Tapping or airdrop projects are much different from just crypto mining. Airdrops are early access features launched by most newly established crypto projects. They are oftentimes free to use platforms that  are used to generate free distributed tokens  before the final launch of the project. Some of the recent ones that caught our attention in this country include Notcoin, Dogs and Catizen.

Whereas, when you talk about crypto mining, you talk about solving of complex algorithms in the blockchain network and the validation of the transactions. It's not everyone that can participate in crypto mining, until you have indepth knowledge on how to undergo those complexities. When you mine, you are being rewarded for a successful mining process.

But of the truth that is nonsense, how can they be joking with people's life like that,if they are not pleased with the salary they are paid, they should quit and join crypto, tapping at the expense of patients life ,what rubbish,in fact not only at work time ,but for all the days they will be on duty, because instead of the to read and get solutions on difficult issues affecting patients ,and lack of concentration, they will be waiting for closing time, so that they can continue with crypto, I don't blame them they don't value patients life, they have forgotten about their oat they took on their induction instead chasing money.
Sever punishment should be given to them, infact they should focus on only third health related issues not a condition either

For me I no see anything wey bad for the decision wey the hospital management don take. Hospital Na very critical place wey deserve hundred percent attention of the staffs working there. You are right, the ops failed to mentioned airdrop telegram tapping, and he mentioned crypto mining as if those airdrops are actually related to anything mining, he should have better made the title to be, either hospital ban telegram taping game during work hours in Gombe.

The move to ban phone usage during official hours is right due to the rate at whiighe telegram plag to earn is going, almost everyone in Nigeria is currently partaking in all the airdrops at the moment, most Nigerians are carried away and abandoning the duty some business people are now losing customers because of this and the time to act is now, because at the end it all a waste of time.

You may have corrected the title of the thread and still sound misleading mate, I mean no offense but if you have taken the time to read through my entire comment, you should have seen that I outline the point that made the current topic title to be misleading, there is nothing to associate the current trend in the crypto ecosystem in Nigeria with crypto mining.

No one is mining crypto through their phones to n Nigeria, and what they are all doing is just tapping or engaging in play to earn, which is far from mining based on technical basis, so ops don mistake my comment, try read again thanks.

Lol I no blame the hospital workers sha because everybody dey find belle for this country. Your main job no fit feed you again, you need an additional side hustle and this crypto tapping wahala dun reach everywhere. E come belike say if you no dey tap, you no take life serious.

My whole WhatsApp status they full of different projects then wey people they tap. I just they laugh anytime I see them because this too sha pass and when that happens you go begin they see people fall for scams as them go wan become overnight traders or investors without any experience

This one come make the management of the hospital to come make this law say any staff wey dem catch dey do either crypto trading or mining for work hour go see pepper. The law say the hospital go deal with person well well so that others go take correction.

Them do well, it's unprofessional normally and this kind thing fit cause serious problem for patients. Work and play no supposed go together because I consider all this tapping apps as play and not serious business. When the nurses or workers in the hospital reach house, them fit do their tapping not at work.

The organization in question is a health organization which needs her workers or work force to be at alert with full concentration to work and details.  We all know the situations at times in the hospital and most times emergencies comes up that requires utmost attention. On the other hand, this tap to earn games are very time consuming and also takes on attention when engaged in them so just imagine it that a health worker is in the middle of their tap to earn game and there is an emergency in the clinic ward that requires their immediate attention. The worker would not be at the right frame of mind to attend to the pending task at hand and in some cases they make mistakes in diagnosis which does not go down well with their client.

All these are happening because of the situation of things in the country. People are looking for alternative source of income for backup because their salary is not enough to sustain them and their family. The government on their path failed to address urgent economic concerns of the nation leaving her citizens to look for alternative means of survival which has resulted to lots of  misplaced priorities in work place because on a normal, I see no reason why a health worker knowing fully well how sensitive and delicate their work is would be playing a tap to earn game at the hospital were they are supposed to focus on their job irrespective of what the time is or whatever. This goes to show how bad the situation is now in the country. Health workers are supposed to be well paid which should make them give a 100% concentration to their job.

I believe the hospital must have noticed majority of their staff engaged in such activity and such decision must have been taken from the top hospital management because things of this nature are not just decided by one person but a committee set up by the top hospital executives and management and before it got to this point, it must have overwhelmed the hospital management to look into it with utmost concern that so it does not result to unforeseen circumstances.

Although personally I condemn their actions based on say na life matter wey them dey take play like that, but if you look the country now, you go shed tears for them, most of them no even dey fit chop belle full nowadays. The motivation to give your best for the work place don drown for the kind hunger and hardship wey befall Nigerians currently. The matter no be come chop so tey everybody don embrace these mining projects as them see say some don dey pay.

Make the government increase the motivation for workplace by increasing both salaries and working conditions, else this na just the beginning.  When you no care about welfare of your workers, they are forced to look out for other ways to take care for themselves.

Exactly my main point mate.
If work dey for we country so, pipo no go too get time for airdrop, because even most of this airdrops no dey pay the way the participants except am to be, but the premarket price they dey interesting, while their listing prices nah dust. However, as long as say nah life and death matter dey concern so, the hospital workers no need carry am play because life dey very very important as e be say nah only one (1) nai we get.

https://dailypost.ng/2024/09/20/gombe-teaching-hospital-bans-cryptocurrency-mining-during-work-hours/

Wahala don burst for one teaching hospital wey dey for Gombe state Niaja. Patient and their family dey complain say hospital staff dey focus now for crypto mining instead of to do the hospital work. Workers go dey busy dey do tapping and game playing while people wey no well go dey suffer, chei nothing person no go see for this crypto business.

This one come make the management of the hospital to come make this law say any staff wey dem catch dey do either crypto trading or mining for work hour go see pepper. The law say the hospital go deal with person well well so that others go take correction.

My brothers and sisters this telegram matter don dey too much oh. I dey even fear say drivers fit dey mine as dem dey drive because people no want miss any opportunity oh.

My broda, nothing we no go see for this country, if na Naija wey we dey I believe say this tap tap of a thing they must carry am to another level. Imagine how could someone leave his work duties and be doing mining, airdrop wey you no sure say dey go pay you. Some people don dey carry this crypto other things, a lot of people believe say free money dey crypto. Aside from this, I read another news where the person resigned his job because he has much believe that Hamster Kombat will pay him huge amount of money and he cannot have such amount of money and still continue his civil service job. Imagine for where people dey pray to have a job, e don tired other people already.  >:(

Even majority of us wey dey earn in this forum still dey pray for a government work and people are out there joking with what God gave them, I don't know why some people are just thinking out of their ass because you get a government work, you suppose dey appreciate the little you get from there. If dem never sack one person the rest no go rest, na good decision be dat because some patient fit lose their life over one project wey some go regret say dem waste their time to mine.

See the rate at wic people invest their time to this mining game is to much, their is time for everything people don't have this understanding of this and it very wrong, honestly speaking if we the Nigerian just see small update most people go com don carry am for head likes they no get work to do, that why many updates u go alway see say dey don ban ninja I gust  this is one of the reasons why them dey always ban ninja most times naija to do ohhh....
The problem mostly where facing in Nigerian is much honestly and which why we cannot blame those that introduced themselves in to mining, because they see that they can be earn little amount of money from the airdrop that’s every Nigerian are youths seriously about the mining; in Nigerian there lack of jobs and even the employees there salary’s is no moving as well.

The government have to look over the Naija youths if he don’t want them to participate in any others cryptocurrency aspect and all those mining and so on let him provide jobs for them and also approve the minimum wage for the workers, so that there monthly salary can enough them to do what ever with their family’s; not by ban the Naija because they participate in airdrops.

Omo the ban Dey very necessary before nurse go forget to give patient medication now because of tap tap. During working hours it’s mandatory you don’t do anything else contrary some people Dey even ban phone calls that’s not work related. U know say na poverty Dey cause this thing everybody Dey find where e easy to double up, this tapping frenzy don take over everywhere.

This thing come dey belike addiction ohh even hospital staff dey mine crypto for working time Abi critical situation no sup. I no really understand why person go dey work dey mine and that field na between life and death, already some Nigeria hospital need to do better with the rate of un seriousness seeing this make things look worst. Airdrops na something wey person no suppose add full seriousness or hope because anything can happen probably person fit dey mine scam project etc,

My brothers and sisters this telegram matter don dey too much oh. I dey even fear say drivers fit dey mine as dem dey drive because people no want miss any opportunity oh.
Lol, that opportunity wey person no wan miss na die be that ohh. Just imagine person dey think of opportunity meanwhile he never take safety precautions what’s the point mining, I be think say this mining thing no dey work like that na Abi that tapping era don pass so what’s really causing the madness. Everyone should mine at their own risk make nobody involve people life and lastly this airdrop matter don cast everywhere so before better project go come no be today.

Me never understand how this thing come dey crazy for Nigeria. Everybody wan join and funny enough me no dey do any airdrop and tapping. If people come approach me say make I put them through, if I tell dem say I no dey do am and I no sabi do am, e come be like say I dey lie. But na the truth be that...

Person wey take up 9 - 5 job suppose respect work hour and duties till work finish. From 6 pm, you fit tap your screen till the next day. You no suppose work for sensitive place like hospital and dey misbehave.
