Title: Help me explore
Post by: Casper Cooper on September 21, 2024, 03:22:09 PM
Hello everyone!

I was introduced to this forum through one of my friends. I have heard that there are plenty of free opportunities for learning and earning by making appropriate use of this forum without any investment.
What should I remember as a newcomer and where should I begin?

I will advise you to put the earnings aside first and focus mainly on the learning aspect, because you can't start earning from where you don't understand how things work.

And indeed, there are great opportunities here in this forum, but that depends on what you have to offer. If you have a skill that the people are interested in, you can market yourself here.

To your last question, as a newcomer, you need to remember to keep the forum rules read and understand them, and if there is anything you don't understand, ask questions, and answers will be provided.

Check pinned messages on this same board; you will find those threads helpful.

Hello everyone!

All right, mate . First of all I would like to welcome you in the forum.
And at the same time I want to say that your friend did not say anything wrong because if you try and stick with it you will see yourself as a successful crypto Enthusiast people even from this forum journey.

But one thing you have to remember forum is not only for earning it is basically a community where people help each other by sharing their ideas and knowledge. Also what you can do in this forum is if you have any skills by providing them through service board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0) you can earn crypto without investment.
Moreover, there are some other options that are signature campaigns (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0) for which you have to rank up and not just rankup you have to also increase your reputation.  And quality full activities should be done to increase the reputation.

For now I would like to suggest you read the forum rules there will be 35 forum rules you must obey them. And I always suggest newbies to explore Meta board (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0) and Beginner&Help (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0) Board(Must read the pin topics), and remember one thing when you explore, you will come across many things that you don't understand. And you open the topic again and ask about the topic that you will not understand so that you understand the topic.

Best wishes for your journey.

I am not explicitly sure what you were told, but this is a discussion forum, in here you discuss about bitcoin, crypto and other whatnots, of course there are rules, and you can find it in the meta board, but there is nothing stringent about the forum or its rules, so you'll get a hang of it if you genuinely want to contribute here. It is correct that you can earn from signature campaigns, but you are a long way away from that, so no need to focus on it right now.

It's simple. Asking the person, your friend, who introduced this forum to you. If I am your friend, I don't introduce the forum to you, without any basic guides.

I don't want to sound rude, but since you are here because of your friend, shouldn't you ask him how to start, what to do, and what not to do? I mean, he is the one who told you that you can both learn and earn here meaning he knows his way around the forum.

Anyway, welcome to bitcointalk.  :)

Like the name suggests, Beginners & Help is the best place for newbies to start. Read the pinned threads on the board to learn more about the forum. It would have been easier to find the information you’re asking from your friend that introduced you to the forum. There are many ways you can earn from the forum but most of them require that you’re a quality member of the forum, that means you have to be a net positive to the community. In my experience, many newbies who joined the forum because they were interested in earning from bounties and campaigns often don’t make it to a high rank.

If you need a job where you can get paid in crypto, visit this thread:  Cryptocurrency Job List (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5457166.msg62442427#msg6244242)

I haven't come across this crypto job thread that you've just shared until now. I've read few newbie threads as a newbie in my early days, but this one wasn't part of it. Thanks for sharing, and Incase there are more threads that might have been dead, i.e are not visible, please do well to share them.

Welcome to the forum. 0P, I  hope the person who introduced you to this place did not tell you that you are going to start earning from the forum immediately you got registered because you will be disappointed since you can not earn now unless you have a service you are rendering to the people here.

You will need to shift your focus on the earnings because it will make you not to focus on learning the things that will help you to grow which is knowledge. Invest your time to stay active, read and learn from the previous threads, explore the forum and make more research to get more clarity on the things you get confused with I believe getting good information will be a good way to start here.

Your goal should be learning first before doing anything. Having vast knowledge about cryptocurrency is helpful in your journey especially your security measures and privacy. If you make a search in this forum or even in google, you'll see different threads of the same topic about how or what to do as a newbie. During the time of your learning, remembering the forum rules would help you to avoid breaking it or you may face consequences like getting red tagged or getting banned.

Welcome mate, I don’t think the questions are necessary because looking at the pinned post above you’ll learn some rules about the forum but it’s okay seeing a new post like this probably op asked out of curiosity. Reading is more important here, for anyone who wants to learn about bitcoin and the forum reading should be considered first before making contributions based on what you understand. As everyone mentioned concerning earning I don’t think it’s yet time discussing about that but, don’t get my opinion wrong because everyone is here to learn and share our different opinion etc.

I was fortunate to have someone suggest starting much closer to the beginning:

Take time to view some of the really old threads (2010- Early 2011) you will quickly learn the level of greed, spam and crime was almost zero, since Bitcoin had very little usd value. Then also use the other advice and read up on many current topics. Welcome to the forum!

First, welcome to the forum. Aside from what everyone has talked about and told you so. As said, go through with the topics that interest you the most. The links are already there and given, so, it's up to you now how you're going to dedicate time to at least familiarize yourself with the boards that you want to learn more about. Earning is there, yes and having no investment at all is quite limited but the fun of learning is how you go through the process. So, take each step one at a time and also get more advice to your friend because he's the one introduced you here and you know more and better what you are up to.

Firstly welcome to the forum OP. If you don't have much nice knowledge about the crypto ecosystem especially bitcoin, I'll suggest you go more into reading. There are a lot of quality posts out there in the forum and all you have to do is read through as much as you can and gradually you will notice that you will gradually gain more and more knowledge and soon you would probably be dishing out similar information.

You can proceed to reading the forum rules on the META board and most especially avoid shit posting and making use of AI to make posts. Doing all these and engaging in nice discussions will pretty much cut it out.

I wouldn’t recommend ChatGPT or any AI tool to a newbie simply because he may start having thoughts of using AI to generate posts in the forum. The forum search engine, ninjastic space and google search are all good options for searching specific topics on the forum.

I'm sure that your friend is already in some kind of signature campaign and pay-rate would be decent to as extra money, so he introduced you to this forum, Honestly, the forum is not aiming to attract guidance who is here to promote and earn it's a side factor, the main motive is to educate people provide support and helping each other even we can discuss ideas here.

So my advice is that dont run after the money, spend some time here, and learn about the market there are may other potential opportunities to grab if you are well informed, and with that while learning you can rank-up and get a slot as well. Motive should not be $50 a week or $100 a week, motive should guide others and learn you can make $1000 a week or even more depending how how you learn and sharpen your skills.

If you are been introduced by a person, I think the best way to start is your friend will be your best way in and out of the forum of he has been here for a whole. I think the fact that he told you there is opportunity to learning and earning says everything about him already, so I will suggest you ask him about he is able to earn. Another advice is, if you have a local community in this forum, kindly join them and ask them some basic things you can learn in the Forum, that is better and faster than learning from the general board.

My personal advice for you is avoid AI post or AI bot or any content writer, you will have your account tagged or even ban for doing such. You should also avoid plagiarism or stealing others people idea as yours. If you must do that, please attacked the source or give credit to the original author of what you have written and lastly, keep learning about Bitcoin and how to help others in the Forum about Bitcoin, you will go far if you are dedicated about it.

First I will like to say you are welcome to bitcointalk, I can say for sure this is the best forum you can get a lot of information, knowledge, enlightenment about bitcoin. This forum will provide you with a lot of knowledge about investing in bitcoin. If you are here because you really want to learn about bitcoin then I will say you should thank your friend again for introducing you to this forum.

Well, about things you need to do in this forum are quite simple, as a newbie you need to read a lot, you need to make research and ask questions where you seems lost. There are a lot of high ranking members who are always there to put you through. Don’t ask irrelevant questions, engage in conversations only when you have reasonable things to say and above all avoid spamming.

Once again I will say you are welcome and i will make sure to keep an eye on you to see about your growth and how much contribution you make to the forum.

Welcome to the Bitcoin Forum.  What you heard through your friend is definitely correct.  It is also possible to earn from bitcoin forums but you need to build a good status with a lot of hard work.  If you can make a good rank on his account in this forum by your hard work and talent then you will be able to earn here.  But to make good rank you must earn merit.  If you can earn merit by your talent and by creating good quality posts then you will be able to earn like others.

As a beginner, you need to have target which should be mainly focused on, and learning should be your main target for the meantime because you need knowledge to explore in the forum and to earn as you have mentioned to be part of your goal of joining this forum.

That your friend can be in a signature campaign that earns him/her some money which I am sure is the reason you wanted to learn and joined this forum; it is not a bad idea to come with that aim but it will be more easier for you if you learn first so that you can have all the necessary knowledge that will help you rank up in this forum so as to achieve your primary goal.

Nevertheless, make sure you interact with all the comments in your thread because I have seen so many important links provided for you to use for your learning, these links and recommendations are good for you and will really help you in the future. Once again, welcome to Bitcointalk.

I don't know for others but I find question like this very annoying to be honest. Someone refer you here and you can not ask them what this place is all about? They're supposed to give you details information and how to explore the forum. It's obvious you joined purposely to earn which I believe it is the same reason as your friend. Let him sit you down and explain how things work here.

However, you are here and of course we have to welcome you. Several links have been recommended for you and I assure you that reading them will definitely guide you to every aspect you need to know about the forum. But remember this, coming here with the mindset of earning will make you feel as you are wasting your time at this early stage.

Sometimes I'm tempted to believe that it's because of what people stand to gain that's why they registered here and with how this "I was referred to this place by my friend" line has become so widely used, it's beginning to sound lame and like a lie and there wasn't a friend but for a lack of a better way to introduce themselves to this place they use it.
Heck, just like you mentioned, the referee tells them what they can gain from here but refused to show them how to go about it? SMH!
Probably this 'friend' feels they've got some magical power that can enable them flourish here without knowing nada about how the place operates and functions? Great..

Let me translate a bit what you're saying. It's right now what I hear or read between the lines or rather what I want to read because such introductions as yours are somewhat annoying and tbh quite worthless.

I was introduced to this forum through one of my friends.
Possibly: I'm too dumb to find it myself because I've no focus and goals. Lame excuse, anyway, even if it were for real.

I have heard that there are plenty of free opportunities for learning and earning by making appropriate use of this forum without any investment.
Where's the free lunch? Can someone bring it to me, maybe spoon feed me, too?

What should I remember as a newcomer and where should I begin?
Definitely, spoon feed me, pleeeease, now!

Are you sure you want to embarrass yourself any more? Surprise me, seriously!

Okay. This forum can produce that makes people enough to eat. But do not force yourself to be able to earn in the ways that make up to mortgage positive things.
This forum, according to my knowledge so far, is to discuss by displaying ideas that build and encourage progress. People will become know from not knowing because of the discussion that is awakened. People will know something from a problem that is solved. That is generally. If the main goal is to expect income, wrong IMO.

Begin as a clean slate and mind you, you can’t earn nothing without having something to give back.
Don’t think you’ll just come here and not have no skill to offer.

Writing itself is a skill and it’s mostly what it’s done out here by a learned few. Your able to have some influence by your insight and how much your able to put out there.

It’s okay if your a clean slate, just be teachable and learn as you go. Your sure to have your slate engraved good.

As a new member on bitcoin forum you should first learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and how they work.  Browse various news sites from here you can collect information on Bitcoin.  And one important thing is to be aware of the scams and risks involved in investing in Bitcoin.  Do not invest on any unknown information.

You are welcome to the forum but it will be good if you don't put how to earn in this forum for now, it is not bad to know how you are going to proceed to a level where you will be earning in this forum but it will be good if you focus on the forum first, you have not to know anything about the forum and you are asking how to earn, or have you see where someone started earning money without not learning before? This forum is not what you are thinking and this is the reason why some newbie don't stay in the forum for long if they spend a month and do not earn anything they will not log in again, and some will even forget their account password.

Your friend didn't lie to you about earning in this forum but for me, he didn't tell you the truth because this is a forum where rules must be obeyed if not you won't like the end, did your friend earn in this forum? And also did your friend tell you how he did to start earning in the forum? Many people will introduce people to the forum without explaining anything to who he is introducing to the forum, it is not bad to ask but I think it will be good if you are introduced to the forum you should ask who is Introducing you very well so that you will understand before joining, so that you won't feel disappointed when you don't see the forum as you expect.

First of all, you’re welcome to the forum Mate.

The forum as the name clearly implies is a community where different people from around the world meets to talk and share knowledge about Bitcoin, and other topics that might interest you, so yes there are indeed lots of learning opportunities here, I’ve been around the forum for some time now and I can proudly say that I’ve really increased in my knowledge of the crypto world and several other areas, plus I’ve also come to meet and interact with different people of like minds from different countries, race and culture and I can proudly say it’s been quite an exciting experience and I can’t tell how much privileged I am to be part of this community. And I’m looking forward to exploring even more and more that the community entails and has to offer.

Once again, you’re welcome, if you can only dedicate yourself to true learning and meaningful contributions to the community, and of course, abiding by the rules of the forum, you wouldn’t have to worry about anything.

After 7 days of inactive, this thread is active again with new welcome posts that don't say anything new than previous posts in a first and half pages. It's not surprised at all but it's reason newbies will continue to create threads like this in future.

They don't need to create these threads to ask all simple questions, if they are ready to read for learning. Pinned threads can help them to learn easily without asking basic questions.

In my previous reply (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5509910.msg64556705#msg64556705), I shown that ChatGPT can give very good answer too.

the thing is that when someone introduced you in forum know that the person will guide you to the better place because the person that's introducing you want you to understand exactly what  bitcoin is all about, theirs some people they introduced in the forum but due to they claimed that they know everything whereas they don't know anything and the thing makes them to disobey the rules and regulations of this community, one important thing in this place is that it will teach you,  to understand the basics things of bitcoin and it's practices if really the person pays attention to learn and understand, because their some persons whose their intension is to earn bitcoin through signature, they do end up to plagiarised work.
