Besides working full-time, it took two years to compile and write the book.  It covers Bitcoin history from inception to 30th June 2024.  It is aimed at an audience who wish to quickly read what has happened to Bitcoin in terms of development, price etc. Each yearly chapter includes 10 major events and around 20-30 less major (or minor) events, and a page dedicated to that year's price activity.

Great job OP, I would love to read it but nowadays time isn't my friend at all, i don't even have 2 hours free during the week, but i will buy your book soon and save it for the holidays.

Have you thought about the option of selling it out of Amazon, you could get a domain and mount a website with WordPress and woocommerce for selling it without having to pay commissions to a 3rd party like amazon, that would be a better way to make some passive income from your book, or you could even create a thread just for selling the book, you should think about it.

To follow up on seoincorporation's idea, have you thought about maybe letting people pay in Bitcoin? That could be kinda neat and fit with the folks who might read what you wrote and  i mean, it probably lines up.  So maybe think about doing that?

Good initiative so far. Though we may find a lot of information about Bitcoin over the Google, we hope your book will help to get them all together. To be honest, it's very important to know Bitcoin history and Bitcoin technology as well. A lot of people don't know much about Bitcoin, and they just consider it an investment asset. Glad to see you spent a lot of time to present Bitcoin history as a book. Best wishes for you, keep it up. 

I've only read the preview and while I'll have preferred it talked more on what Bitcoin is and the early development conversations along with focus on decentralization, I understand that there's so much to cover and everything needs to be giving paper space.

I'll be reading the book later and dropping a review after that. Great work, we need more stories about bitcoin from actual bitcoiners.

It is great to finally have a book about bitcoin history. I think you should accept different mode of payment like fiat if someone prefer to pay fiat or cryptocurrency likr bitcoin if they want to pay bitcoin. I know it takes a lot of work to compile the information and when you write the book so having a book about it would surely made it easy for others to learn about bitcoin history in one book or if it's in the forum then a single thread.

Unfortunately, I couldn't donate a dime on your project but I will definitely purchase it on Amazon. Even though it might take a little while before it gets to me.

Congratulations, you have brought this project this far and I hope to get all the knowledge that I will seek in the nearest future in there.  I will be recommending this book to beginners with little to nothing knowledge about bitcoin because it's a real time experience from a member of the bitcoin community.  

I'm confident the book contains sufficient information about Bitcoin history. Once read, the reader will have a clear memory of price activity and much more.

Let me start by commending you on this great piece of work, I have not read the book but quite sure that I am going to place my order in this week, and I aim at gifting the book to my bitcoin /cryptocurrency mentees at list this book will serve as a basic fundamental foundation for them, to lay the basic background of what and how bitcoin have evolved for over a decade now, and what we should expect from the industry in the coming years.

Ops you sure going to get a review of this book from me, after reading, and good luck with luck and look forward to gain some insight of what the future holds for bitcoin, since 2008 the journey have been most exciting.

Well, this book is very interesting, I'm sure many people will buy it. There must be many curious people who want to read this book because it contains the journey of Bitcoin from 2008-2024. The journey of the price of bitcoin from a very cheap price to the price of bitcoin which has reached a very expensive price, namely the current price of bitcoin reaching $ 63,374. I also intend to buy the book, reading the book must be very interesting!

Let's just say that the reader will remember how the price has changed once s/he has read the book.

Learning about Bitcoin's history is very beneficial.

would love to get one in hardcover - and if possible pay for it direct with Bitcoin. I hate using fiat.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can sell the book for BTC? All I can suggest is people purchase an Amazon giftcard with BTC, and then purchase the book.

well to sell for BTC you could do so directly - people pay you directly and you ship it. Or you could have someone (like minerjones or even myself - we do this for the collectibles area quite a bit) handle them, receive funds, distribute the funds to you and then reship the book to the buyer.

Yes I noticed this from on your Amazon Store. Do you teach? something like what Andreas Antonopolous does. Because if you don't, I recommend that you do ASAP. As you have decide to take a break from writing please consider teaching. Some folks from LMIC who may be not be able to afford your book or probably those who are more into videos or audio content would definitely love what you do.

I did mention that Bitcoin is intended to be fungible. Yes, this is based on Ordinals Theory. I did post some arguments for which i think the consensus for sat identification and transferring rules is a strong one.

Well then I guess that means you just saved the best for last! It’s very inspiring thing. Here I thought you were just a one off dude just making this book as a fun little project and come to find you are a very decorated crypto author! You might consider writing a blog.

While I do agree that he wrote a lot about other altcoins, I think there isn't much to teach. I mean if we are talking about just history of bitcoin, learning that could maybe bring you a bit of information but not a lot, or learning about syscoin, eth, whatever tyke wrote about.

The reason he is probably giving up "writing" is because these are non-fiction in mostly tokens and coins that not many people are interested, and that is why it is not getting that much sale neither and marketing is weak at best. He doesn't have reviews, because he probably doesn't have that much sale neither. I believe that there aren't much to learn from this, it would be great if it was about something that could improve people but it is probably just historical facts and nothing more.

It has been a journey during which time I have learnt a lot about Bitcoin and the crypto space. The road ahead is cloudy, but I'll find a renewed path.

It took two years to write the Bitcoin book, besides working full-time. The book is the best I've written so far in terms of length and detail. If you don't know what has happened since Bitcoin began, it is a resourceful read.

The book succinctly walks the readers through the necessary historical events which have defined Bitcoin. Once read, you will definitely have a superb grounding on how the price has fluctuated over the last 16 years, how Bitcoin Core has been developed, who has been instrumental in contributing to Bitcoin, and much more.  It is an easy and quick read for those who have limited time.  Let's admit it, who has lots of time!

Moreover, I am initially from a working class background. I achieved a grade C in English Language in Bradford, foundational reward, in 2001!

All I have known is sheer hard work. I have had personal battles in my life, I have moved house 6 times in 10 years, and have managed in write a Bitcoin book in two years, besides working full-time (and looking after 2 dogs, keeping a house etc.)

To be honest, I am down to earth.  I appreciate the basics in life, but have strived to do better year on year.

If anyone wants to talk to me, or know me better, I am available to appear on podcasts or otherwise.

Hmm, not sure how many books I've read haha maybe 1 or 2 and those were the digital forms and I've just gone through their summaries. I have not seen any proper review on this thread yet about this book, for sure If there is any let me know. I'm pretty bad at English waiting for its Urdu version haha, anyway if Op's interested I can manage to look for a translator. Anyway I know I'm not good at translating.

The Local language helps the beginners more effectively compared to any other second language. Is OP interested in any other language publication ?

It would be nice to have the book in other languages, but I need time out of Bitcoin/crypto for an indefinite time.

I thought I had written a special book for the Bitcoin community. It has not sold as many as I thought, but I did my best, besides working full time, for two years.

History is important too  8)

History is the foundation of the existence of anything. A few decades ago the study of history was compulsory in primary and secondary schools in my country. A new government came in and made the study optional. After some time the present generation began to lack knowledge about the culture and traditions of the country. Many of them began to adopt the culture of other countries and gradually local language, arts, culture and technology began to become obsolete. Good morals began to be substituted by social media culture and beliefs. Now the government is aware that they have caused more harm than good. Currently, history has been reintroduced as a compulsory subject that every child must learn.

If we don't record some important historical information about Bitcoin, we might end up adopting the culture of other currencies. We need to consistently remind ourselves about who we are and history books will help us to do that. OP is helping the community and we have to encourage him.
