He has tens or hundreds of alts. The accounts are getting nuked but he keep posting with new accounts. He posted last with Lornbimyr and it has been nuked. But he will post with new accounts soon. That is what he is doing.

Yeap my eyes are also on them. They are currently trying to phishing with amazon gift cards before they tried to finish off members with gambling site exploding. I have reported them multiple time in your topic Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5182222.0)  against these scammers. And I've seen moderators quickly delete their topics and ban their accounts whenever they're reported.

Now more interesting thing is that whenever I get a notification via telegram notifier bot I check that their topic is already deleted. And I don't think their accounts are still unbanned. >:D

Just report them and they'll be dealt with if a bot hasn't nuked them already.

I've also noticed like u that when spammers are reported as completely inappropriate on a post only their posts are immediately deleted but they are not banned. I think such spammers should be banned because if they are not banned, they will spam again later.

Personally noticed one thing that when they are reported their posts are deleted by active moderators but no action is taken against them immediately. Although the moderators put a lot of effort into the forum but if the moderators should pay attention to these things then the forum will be free of public opinion very soon. I think if spammers are identified and banned immediately, balance will be maintained in the forum.

I have no clue what point you're trying to make. The gift card accounts have been nuked and thus are banned. Malware posters are also banned by the staff.

Moderators are did lots of effort right now and that is why those accounts are immediately banned. And I want to say you that you can't see the members account is banned or not, without any tool like BPIP exntention (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5224821) and the Bpip.org (http://Bpip.org) site. All of them are banned.

But sometimes it may happen that scraping is delayed due to some technical issue and for this, these tools also show their banned status a little late but currently the bot & mod are so fast to banned them and deleted the post, I have already said in my post that I get the notification and immediately I was checking that topic I saw that topic was removed.

...
That's good then, these spammers are consistent, once they know how the bot works on handling keywords they will probably try again to spam the forum by passing it.

...
There are some exception if did only once, but these ones are intolerable, they will get banned immediately.

looks like they are still at it, I just saw two posts from them on gambling discussions, the first one got deleted before I could report it but the other one is still up(but will soon be deleted). I assume that they'll keep this up for a bit while and stop when they realize they are just wasting their time because their posts are getting reported and deleted.

You don't actually want to make the forum free of public opinion very soon?

The worse part is even they got banned they will just create another new sets of accounts to spam again. How does they do that anyway, if their account got banned and mark since there is an evil points awarded on IP that has malicious or done bad things? So they using method to bypass this process and continue to create more spam accounts.

Just within 24hrs someone or group of people has given the forum a tough time with spam.

Atleast we've got some staffs on their seat right now! am so pissed, I wish I could do something about it.

@PowerGlove @Theymos is it possible to shutdown registration into the forum for now? that's all I can think of on how to stop this guys.

I didn't realise about what you are talking about here. You mean like this guy who is a brand new and putting referral links?

https://loyce.club/archive/posts/6457/64575353.html

It looks like and I see that the thread has been locked, I imagine that it has been made by a moderator who can't nuke them directly.

Report one of his thread to the moderator, that's what you can do. Wait for 1x24 hours, usually it take times for moderators to take an action.

That's not a wise way to combat against abusers, it will forbid innocent or real users who interested with Bitcoin. Especially Bitcoin price is currently rising and we're getting closer with bull season, there would be many people might join this forum.

Perhaps I'm doing my best already in reporting those post. And it seems you're not observing properly with those spam posts because moderators already nuked most of the accounts and mods are active locking all of the spam threads.

If registration is shutdown for or in less than 48 hrs does that mean people will not longer come to the forum? we are talking about urgent solution, it's just temporary I'm not saying it should be put to an end forever.

You cannot really disable new sign-ups if you are not an admin. I don't think theymos has a plan to stop accepting new forum members anytime soon. As Mitchell said, they have been banning those spammers. But, if they create a new account again and start creating threads, you cannot really do anything until you find another reason to ban them. Sometimes their bot detect some spam automatically, sometimes not (because they change the post content). So, you cannot really blame moderators for not taking actions. Keep in mind that, they have some limitations as well.

I thought that I'm the only one who noticed the spammer. The spammer have lots of backup accounts, the spammer floods the forum with repetitive content.

The content yesterday is different but there's still suspicious link that includes a script which is obvious script to steal crypto.

Reporting won't stop them Admin should probably ban/block the spammer's domain name, as that seems like a better option.

The spammers figured that their accounts were being banned automatically based on their keywords and they decided to change keywords and begin again today. I really do not know what they hope to achieve because I doubt anybody will click their link here.
It's unfortunate that things like this will keep happening and the only way we can deal with it is not leave the whole work for the mods alone. When we see an account that's spamming, we have to report it immediately. This will make the mods job easier.

As a forum member I think today was the worst day. Too many spammers attacked the forum. It was all about Just made 800$ with payment bug on G2A. Another spam but he evil fee could not help the forum from getting bombarde wirh spam. This guy has used multiple accounts as in bots but he didn't get hesitated or he got succumbed to evil fees.  Another example of hypocrisy by the admin as he is only concerned about a particular region..

That is extreme, the admin is never going to consider this, that will even give the spammers something to celebrate about and they will try the same next time, hoping for the same outcome. We just have to report their posts whenever we see it, and it will be deleted and the member will be nuked, they'll give up sooner or later.
Another example of hypocrisy by the admin as he is only concerned about a particular region..
Hypocrisy? Can you throw more light on the point you are trying to make? What region is the admin only concerned about?

AFAIK, the evil fee increases the more accounts get banned from a certain IP range.

The spammers changed format today because instead of the normal gift card scam he promoted in the last few days, today the message have changed to seeking help on how to buy Bitcoin with doing kyc, this has a similar partan that he have used since the spam fist started, but the good news is that those accounts keep being nuked at regular interval, and getting a straight banned on each occasion.

Hopefully this spammers are going to get de-motivated in no time since admin are working to put an end to the spammers rein in here.

I have to mute the telegram notifier for the second day as well, their notification just kept coming through on and on, across the various boards in my tracking lists.

It's good that those have been removed in just few seconds after posting their spam but how many accounts they got cause every account has been nuked but they're still coming with floods of created accounts hopefully they dried up now.

As a forum member, I think you're being a bit dramatic. The admin is the only one who has complete insight and he is  the one who decides whether the evil fees are effective or not. We should trust his judgment. At least the forum isn't bombarded with spam every day, right? As I'm sure it would be. If you don't believe it, try running your own forum for a month or two and see what happens.

Another example of hypocrisy by the admin as he is only concerned about a particular region..

Hypocrisy? Don't you think that's a bit too harsh? Besides, where did you get the idea that evil fees apply to only one region?
