Title: Community Influence on Cashing Out or Holding On in Sports Betting
Post by: Davidvictorson on October 05, 2024, 03:07:32 PM
In sports betting specifically football is your decision to cash out or wait it out until the end of the game based on the opinions of other people if you shared your bet slip with them while the game is on?

Some people after they have placed their bets on several games may be so excited to share their bet slip with their gambling community who helps to monitor if games they bet on are winning or they are losing. In some cases if all the other games were a win and it remains like two more games on the slip, they may feel pressured to cash out based on the opinions of their friends. In this case do you give in or hold out based on their opinions?

well, you can't factor out the place of the community of gamblers you have around you in making certain decisions and that you've asked for the opinion of certain friends on what to do when the option of cashing out comes into play doesn't mean that their opinion is going to be the better one above your own. As the spirit leads, you can decide to make your decision all by yourself or seek for your friemds opinion in some instances.

Most times, if you don't want to cash out, don't even show your betting slip to some people cause they will encourage you to cash out ASAP. And even after showing them and they tell you not to cash out and the remaining games didn't enter, you will still go on to blame them for misguiding you. Deciding on cashing out should be one you should be bold enough to make on your own without and when you've made it, whatever becomes the aftermath of the decision should be entirely something you're ready to accept.

I think this questions has been raised before here thereabouts, but my answer is yes, and you need to cash out instead of losing it all. I am not a greedy fellow or gambling who would want the games to entirely score they way I predicted it, just to me I don't just pray for all to entirely enter but let me just have a cash out option to make back the money I spent gambling even though it's just 1.5x of my total staked amount I am good with it.
But if you are that sure of the games and you believe you can win it if the games runs to the end then you can leave except you are not sure of the matches.

If I personally will see the Odds of the remaining matches. if the Odds are not good or a little profit I will have to cash out. but if the chances are good enough to win, I will hold on until all bets are finished.
I rarely do Cashout. but if the amount offered is profitable enough, I will do it. especially if the potential to win tends to decrease when seeing the latest news before the match starts such as some players who will not be played.
I once did Cashout and regretted it. one last match that I should have won, but I had doubts and finally regretted it when the results were actually in accordance with my predictions.

I think it all depends on the cashout sum:
- you're 8 out of 10 and your returns are already x10 000 on a $5 ticket and the last matches have a 4x multi?
- you're 5 out of 7, your return is x20 on a $1 ticket, and the last games have 1.5 odds?

I think 95-99%  would cash out in the first case while less than 10% in the second, of course, just my opinion but this is how I see things happening.

Cashing out should be a personal decision so that the gambler will not put the blame on the community should in case all his game came out as predicted. The only advantage that I see in a gambling community is that you guys can share your slip and bets so that anyone can place the bet exactly as predicted by the gambler.

Greed is a natural thing and no matter how you try to convince a greedy man not to be greedy, he will not listen. As for me, I will cash out without waiting for the last two games results because I am already in profit no matter how small the profit is.

I will not listen with someone else opinion when it comes to subjective thing, question like a or b, c or d etc are useless because we know ourselves better than others. Let's say an idealist person, this kind person feel alive and comfortable if he choose his life based on what he want, even though people see it's not good for him or there's better option, but if he enjoy to be like that, why we should ruin his happiness?

I'm someone who don't like to cash out, regardless what the result is, I will accept it.

In my area we all have believed in the scene that two heads is more better than a single head. So if I eventually shared my bet slip with my friends and they they suggested for me to cashout, I might cashout or stay put for the game to continue to the end. However the choice is mine and mine alone, so I only have to make the decision and allow the game to continue or cashout. But if I cashout and the game still cut, I will be happy and also think that I am too smart also, but if I didn't cash out and the game cut I will be sad about it and I might blame myself for it.

I think that several factors can influence such a decision, including the influence of the community. However, the influence of the community is not always the main determinant, as evidenced by the fact that not everyone who makes a cashout plays within a community, and most of them make the decision themselves.

Being influenced by the opinion of the community is influenced by the psychological factors of the gambler, and it is known that it is always better not to follow these influences in making decisions at any stage of the bet.

One of the most important factors determining this is the bet amount and the value of the remaining odds at the time of the cashout. For example, if the initial bet amount is large, the profit percentage from the cashout can be good, especially if the remaining odds are not guaranteed. Also, when the bet amount is small, the profit value will certainly not be considered except with risky odds, and therefore the player will be more comfortable ignoring the cashout offer.

If I should share my bet slip with any community online (which I rarely do) it means I honestly want their opinion on it and depending on their responses I might go on and cash out the amount that’s available for me to cash out or leave it to run till the end.

But if I don’t share it and just ask question related to it - let’s say I ask “between Real Madrid Vs Man United whom do they think will win” and most of the responses are in favour of Man United but in my parlay I have Real Madrid to win there in such case I won’t go and cash out, I’ll most likely allow it to run.

You have to have a real dominant and confident personality in order to not feel pressured by third party's opinions regards cashing out your money before the final outcome. I believe most people tend to take into consideration common sense in order to decide keeping the bet or not. It's hard to keep a decision when everyone else is telling you to do the opposite. Groups have great influence over our personal actions. It's part of our instinctive nature. Of course you can always fight against the masses, and maintain your personal certainties, but it demands too much energy from the individual.

There isn't a recipe on what you should do, though. Gambling outcomes are unpredictable, and to cashout beforehand or to maintain the bet until the end can be a good or bad idea, depending each specifical bet you have placed. Just don't be too stubborn or too suggestible.

You are right and I agreed to what you said, most of the match with small odds can't give a huge cash but those with higher odds has already played then there is every possibility for the cashing out to be very higher than its remaining matches. But, as a gambler who aren't in any way being contributed the amount of funds to bet they are permissible to cash out when they want without waiting for the community to give their judgement, and of course following up community ideas and input also help but has he also considered the fact that when game lost it can't be reversed again so it's always good to cash out to secure profits.

Sometimes it's best to go with what your gut says, but listening to the advice of others might also be helpful...I would love to join a community like this that can give me advice on my selections after all two heads are better than one..back in campus I knew some guys that would gather together to analyze games and each of them would share ideas and informations on different selections, this made them win a lot of times. A lot of gamblers go through the feeling of regret when they cash out their game and it ends up playing out successfully, I think it's a greedy mindset, as long as you are in Profit you are supposed to be contented with it.

I remembered when I cashed out 0.005 on stake.com on that particular date, my games have been played almost 80% and j st one game remaining to go and with a distance of about three days before the game will be played, so at that point I was nit under any pressure to cash out the game, but then I just ask myself a simple question that haven't are made enough gain in the bet and if yes, why the do I need to wait all this time and probably lose the bet at the end.

So I was excited to have cashed out that amount, even though this decision was not influenced by anybody because I never share my bet information with anybody.

Waiting out cashouts or wins in bets could be a dilemma. You never know what's next, IMO. If you feel like your instincts are telling you something, you could follow them. It is mainly like that; maybe you are accessing the “luck” process.

IMO, the most important thing is to check your risk tolerance and how much you are willing to give for a higher return. That could improve your chances. It's all about balance.

It depends on their own judgment whether cashout will be their choice or they don't want to regret when the remaining two matches become a loss...

If from 10 matches two matches are left maybe I will choose cashout instead of holding until the end of the match... Because it feels that it is still afraid of the two remaining matches ending up losing that is not expected.

However, I never share bet slips with any community, the decision to cashout or hold is subjective for most people.

Always avoid getting pressured into cashing out because you could be encouraged to use the feature more than you should.

I mostly try to hold my multi until the end and only cash them out midway whenever i'm satisfied enough with the current payout or i'm having second thoughts on the remaining legs.

I think it all depends on the cashout sum:
I agree and how much you value the winnings from your view because sometimes it's worth cashing out a $100~ bet when it could already be a lot for casual gamblers.

Honestly, at times, it does really get influenced by the opinion of friends. It could actually be a game that my friends also staked on and if I see them having some kind of strong believe on the game, I would also want to join them in believing that the game will be successful, therefore I wouldn't bother to accept the cash out. Although, It doesn't happen often because I don't use to allow it because of the disappointment I have experienced from such hopes.

Indeed it is a personal decision and it also depends on the match, how its going

Letting the community influence your actions isnt necessarily the right move,
its 50/50 whether the community is advising the right thing by cashing out early.

Then again if your ticket is in profit why not cash out early especially if the scoreline
and team play is not convincing enough to hold.

I made the bet myself with my money and will not like to be influenced or put under pressure by the opinion of others. I can hear their advise to cash out or not, but the final action to take will be mine to decide so that whatever the outcome, I will know that I have myself to hold responsible. My friends do not know better than I do, so their opinions to me is no better than mine in gambling. If anyone wants to also show that they have opinions, they should try making the bet themselves with their own money.

Distributing bet slips and distributing them to the community to ask for opinions on whether to “cashout or hold” you will have a dilemma where there will be many opinions while you yourself will have a headache and which one to take.

Is the cashout worth the profit you want?
Or it feels less satisfied so you want to hold until the end, honestly if it's in my position it will be a dilemma.

Usually I always wait until the end rather than cashing out in the middle of the road sometimes it doesn't feel satisfied if all the matches end up winning but you cashout first.

When watching the game live there are chances that the odds will gradually go against your team especially when the ball is on the opponent and gaining on the team you are rooting for. Bettors will be tempted to cash out to secure the win. But some people are to watch til the end of the game to find out. I guess they are the ones who are truly fans of the team and gives them satisfaction to see them win.

Those who only see profit, I think will cash out whenever they see an opportunity. Can't let is pass their hands.

we don't need to be greedy for gambling, because gambling is a game of risk and luck, you may expect to win all your games and end you lose all, it has happened to me severally were I wanted to win big amount and the cash out option they gave to me was massive  but I was expecting to win so that I will go away with all the money, but I notice that is out greediness that made me not to cash out, good is good but you need to calculate well and also not be greedy, is better for we to cash out and rebet the remaining that has not play with good amount from the one you have already cashed out, it's just a common sense you will use to follow your gambling.

I follow a rule: Never bet based on other people's opinions. But in certain cases we need to make exceptions, such as the cases you are talking about. It is important that when a person posts a photo of a multibet bet in which there are only a few games left to decide the entire bet, when other people give the person advice to cash out, that person listens to the advice and then goes back to analyze the remaining games carefully and finally makes the decision that he thinks is best and then does not blame other people for the decision he made. Because the biggest problem with people is always blaming other people.

In this case I listen to everyone's advice, and then I go back and analyze the remaining games to understand why people are giving me certain advice and then I make a decision based on the analysis of the remaining games.

This is a difficult one to answer. Because the tendency of the gambler to cash out the games is fully dependent on three factors. One is the gambler himself and the other is the level of pressure from others and lastly, it depends on the amount of cash available. When a gambler is in that situation, he ought to listen to himself whether he wants to cash out or not. However, it becomes difficult if he chooses to leave the game till the end because imagine a case where the amount to be cashed out is a huge amount. So many people will give him reasons to cash out and that will torment him. Only strong will can make such a gambler not to cash out. Another thing I regret. If he is someone who is afraid of regretting then he won't hesitate to cash out.

Consistently checking out on your Sport betting game, most times usually puts gamblers into unnecessary pressure, which is why when it comes to me, I will say that I hardly check my bet slip after it has been booked and played on a casino, to avoid unnecessary pressures. Because one thing about cashing out a bet slip is that, if the game eventually cuts and didn't played as predicted, you will be happy at least you did lose everything, but you see scenarios whereby you cash out halfway and the game eventually played as predicted after cashing out, that's the worst experience any gambler will ever feel. Which is why I always allow my game play till the end, so that if it cuts/lose, let it cut whereas, if I win, let me win too, rather than allowing people influence my gambling decision.

I do not cash out. I prefer to wait until the matches have all been played.

In some cases if all the other games were a win and it remains like two more games on the slip, they may feel pressured to cash out based on the opinions of their friends. In this case do you give in or hold out based on their opinions?
It depends. Assuming if I use $10 to place a bet that I suppose to win $100. If there were 5 matches to be played and it remain just 1 and I have won like $80 that I can cash out. I will prefer to cash out. But most of my bets are single or not more than 3 matches and the amount I want to win if a match is missed will not be encouraging. Yet I use small amount of money to bet.

No, I will not be affected by the community if it discusses my betting slip, I believe and sure with what has become my choice because I also don't randomly choose matches. But if it becomes the last 1 match, usually I prefer to play it safe by placing another single bet on that match with a bet of 50% of my total winning percentage from that long slip.

It is necessary to cashout when it's necessary than wait till the end of a game. Although some times chasing out may also reduce our chance of winning big, which is vise versa. but I prefer taking some portion through cashout than waiting till the end. Because majority of people who tend to wait to see the end usually lost it all because of their pride and greed. A friend of my lose $150 he would have cashout, but due to having the hope of winning $300  the game end up losing. I know deep down in his mind he was angry and sad for not listening to us when we pleaded with him to cashout, but he presented as if all is well and hope for a greater days ahead but I can sence lie in his speech but he was just encouraging himself.

The truth is that we should try as much as possible to cashout when there is need to avoid regret. We shouldn't be that greedy to wait till the end to win the potential amount, because there is a high chance that you may never win the expected amount.

I see it like it all depends on the picks you made on the remaining games, and your projected possibilities of them happening or them not happening, looking at all of that, you can figure out if it's something you are going to be able to risk till the end of not you are advised to cash out so you see a little above your risked fund, that way you have an advantage to an extent but if you don't, you may not be able to make any money off the game if it later turns out to be a loss.

Since it is your bet slip, it is on you whether you will cash out or not. If you have very good feelings about the remaining bets, then, don't cash out. But if you are reading some good opinions or insights about the remaining bets, then, cash out so you can secure some winnings.
Public will always have their opinions to tell, but at the end of the day, it is your money at stake, so decide what's best for your money.

Im usually a loner when it comes to betting so nope when it comes to sharing. I do visit some forums/discord/telegram groups about sports so sometimes discussions come about whenever a tournament is currently running but those haven't exactly influenced my bets in any way particular. A bit I guess before I bet instead, making me reconsider whcih team is better than the other and stuff like that, but during is a never. I just stick with what I got.

Honestly if you were going to be swayed by others that much just let them bet for you.

First of all, never listen to others. It is your money; hence, you should be the one deciding what to do and what not to do with the money. Various people will have various opinions; hence, you need to do your homework and place the bets. Just keep faith in you and in your decision. Rest; everything will be fine. Generally, if someone suggests me while a bet is in play, I take that positively and do my own analysis about the outcome. If anything goes against the bet, then only I cash out before the game ends.

Why make the bet if you are just going to be a coward and cashout? Who cares about others opinions, did they bet on the same game? Are you sharing the money with them? IMO, don't make the bet if you don't have the courage to follow through until the end. If you get down to the last leg you can hedge the bet and give yourself some guaranteed profit, but never cash put early from fear.

I think it just depends on what you believe in other games, and so on. your philosophy I don't usually share my betting records with anyone else because sometimes it can add to the stress. And while getting feedback is always good, but just remember at the end of the day it's your call. To me, I value my friends' opinions. Especially if they really keep tabs with the team. But I really don't let that stop me from spending my money or not. If I feel like it's made a very good choice and if I can really get a good payout of it, then I'll pause on it. But if there are too many items and I don't know which ones to hold onto, then it could be best to withdraw. It's all about the fine balance of risk and reward. But more importantly, knowing when to listen to your own intuition is far better than the number of people one listens to.

First of all, never listen to others. It is your money; hence, you should be the one deciding what to do and what not to do with the money. I understand where you are coming from. And at the end of it all I say It's your money, and it's your decisions. Trust one's judgment in making your own decisions and not let too many people dictate to you. With that said though, I believe there is some value in listening to other people, but, as you said The key is doing your own analysis. Personally, I feel that feedback is part of the process. But I am always going back and clinging to my feelings. Withdrawal is tough, and trusting oneself when things go wrong.

I understand what you said. But I don't think spending money is necessarily a matter of cowardice. Sometimes it's just a matter of planning. Yes, showing it at the end shows that you're confident in your choices. But sports are unpredictable and things happen. Can change quickly I agree that other people's opinions shouldn't affect you. But I don't see anything wrong with spending money if it's a well thought out strategy. Especially if there are high costs. Hedging to guarantee profits is also a solid move. But I think withdrawals are just another tool in the toolbox if used wisely.

Friends or a community can influence one to either cash out or wait for the end of the game. But it still depends on the gambler's decision. There was a recent case in a social media platform where a gambler was winning about $150 if he cashed out, but the total win might get to $550 if he waited till the end of the match. Most people in the group encouraged him to cash out, but he refused. He told the community that he wanted to take the risk and lose or win big. He finally lost the game and most of us blamed him.

For me, I am a fan of cashing out. I am not a high-risk gambler, so I take every opportunity to cash out and cover my losses. I don't have to courage to withstand pressures to cash out.

Absolutely, it's our bet, so we should be in control of managing it. The goal is to win, not to impress others- maybe we can do that later if we consistently win. Honestly, some people think cashing out is a smart move, but mathematically, it often doesn't favor the bettor. Bookies actually love when people cash out, thinking they’re getting value, when the opposite is true.

Except we have an agreement to share our bet slips on our community forum and members can decide the decisions about cash outs, I don't think that it's necessary to share it. If you bet with your own money, then you should make the decision whether to cash out by yourself. You can choose to ask for opinions if you're not sure whether to cash out or not, the point is that it's supposed to be your choice even if you ask for opinions. I think that people should have their strategies about cashing out, personally I don't like cash outs that is why I bet with the amount that I can afford to loose.

I would feel bigger regret, if I followed other people's advice and lost money rather than making my own decision and losing money because of my own mistake. I don't understand the gamblers, who are being influenced by other people and are seeking advice by other people.
On the other hand, there are paid sports betting services on Telegram and Discord, that offer "guaranteed win rate" or some other BS. I do understand the gamblers, who are buying such services. They want to invest money and get a ROI(and they get scammed, most of the time). This seems like a more rational behavior than seeking advice from random strangers about your bets and conforming to the group.

I believe that you should make the decision on whether to withdraw money from the game yourself, without looking back at the opinions of other people. After all, in this case it is not entirely clear who is playing - you or your friends or those people whose opinions you trust? It may well turn out that your advisers themselves are not sure of their decision and your desire to shift responsibility for your actions to other people may be wrong. If you have a strategy and a game system, then you should make the decision yourself.

Smiles.. your comments made me flash back to a friend of mine who never gambled for the first time and it happened that he followed me to stake same matches which I does, but annoying thing there is that I asked him to wager with amount he can afford to lose without him asking me to pay back if he loses it, a long the line the matches kicked off and we seen about 5 matches already played remaining the two last matches. Oh my God, I wasn't able to breath freely from him since there was option to cashed out, what I did Is that if he didn't have that courage to wait or didn't believe on the game then you better switch it off so I can breath as well and he did cashed out and guess what all the game played.

The thing is that, while gambling we always have this doubting belief or heart that what if the games cut off what would be there, that is why it's always advisable to gamble with the amount that wouldn't affect them even though they lost the match they will still be alright without attaching bad feelings.

I'd probably cash out and take advantage of the profit. I am not that brave enough to continue especially when I see that it's already money that I can get for free. The cash-out button is there for a reason and those are for gamblers who are satisfied with what they will have instead of risking it more for a few bucks to be added to their winnings.
I don't really care if it's a friend who is suggesting to continue on because it's my money that is at risk and he/she will not be the one losing in case those last two picks will fail. I've done that many times although it's my own predictions, it's not that I don't trust my own picks but like I said, if there's profit available then we have a choice to take it now or not. I pick the former.

A gambler's decision should not be influenced by this pressure, as you pointed out. You should make the decision because, in the end, no one shares your losses. This peer pressure typically occurs when there is a cash out option available, and I believe this is why the original poster started this thread. Nothing about gambling is certain, so even those who offer advice are unsure of how things will turn out. Encouraging people to cash out is based on the notion that it is preferable to seize a certain small win than to depend on a bigger win that may not materialize. Individuals, myself included, are sacred of losing everything.

I decide by myself when I want to cash out because only me that will see my bet slip so I will decide based on the situation. If I don't see the chance for the team that I choose to win but I see the chance to cash out, I will do that without waiting for a long time. I experienced delaying to cash out in the past and makes me lose the money because the team I pick lost the performance against the opponent. The money is not too big but that makes me regret not to cash out in the right time so I learned from that. I feel the pressure to cash out when two more games still waiting for the end result. But if those two bet slip have a chance to cash out, I will immediately doing that before the situation change.

On the first statement of sharing your bet slip I guess it doesn't mean at all because if you win the game, you win there's no rituals or what so ever those are just speculations of other people now its up to you if you want to share your slip or not. If you think those wins already considered as count for the day you can now easily pull it out before the game starts at the end of the day its your decision and not with your friends those are their opinion possible they are right still there's a chance they are wrong but the call for the pulling out the bet is on your side.

I don't think there can be a rule for all cashouts. You always have to evaluate case by case. There can be many reasons for one solution or another.

That would depend on the two more games at hand before thinking of adhering to a friend's advice or to what your mind tells you to do. But the main decision of the game lies on you whether to have your booked games cash out before the bets slip or not.

Whatever decision you take then, remember you are the one who will live up to it, not someone else. That's why you ought to think twice before following the advice of friends to cash out or relying on yours to hold to the end of the bet slip.

Most of the time, many people have lived on the regrets of both scenarios of why not cash out on time when they had the opportunity or why they hold on to the last bets is over.

You see, both mentioned scenarios can either fall to one advantage or disadvantage. And the person who has the bet will be the one to live with the memory, not their friends. That's why it's important to be mindful of the decision or opinion you follow to your bets because you are the one who will live up with the end result of your bet slip

The best advice is the one you give yourself as to this regards considering the fact that if the opinions of others are considered and in return things happened the way you personally felt you should done otherwise there will definitely be so much blame my point is that one should only consider such community opinion if they are inline with your own personal opinion as not to blame any with the final result, I can never consider any public opinion if am in this kind of situation, although any one can come up with his or her opinions as to this regards, that is my feedback.

I agree with that. Everyone thinks that his bet is better than the others and he goes for it, some people in some cases and I also have done that after several lost bets I started copying other people bets and that is normal. I think that if you do your own research for the certain teams you want to bet on, a simple good search in reading latest 5 games in flashscore app you can have a good insight of what is happening, add some tipping websites for the games you want to bet in to get another round of insights and based on this information I think it is very easy to go for a choice. I don't think there is a better way than this yet everyone has his own ways.

I only place bet on matches that I’m interested to watch meaning I have deep knowledge on the bet. I will not follow others opinion on this type of bet which I have high confidence since I want to play through my bet until the end.

Maybe I will hear opinion if I bet on a match that I just follow from a colleague but I rarely do this tho. I don’t get the point of following other opinion towards your bet since sports betting is more on proving that your prediction was right in able to enjoy the game.

There’s no entertainment if you are just copying others decision.

This is a tricky question if I mustnt lie, but all the same, every question have its own answer, and I will try to answer this based on my own personal knowledge.

First and foremost, it is very important for a gambler to fully understand that he or she is solely responsible for what ever betting or gambling decision he or she takes, those who advice it won't bear the consequences of the gambler doing what he or she was advised to do, but the gambler alone will bear it.

So, putting the above in full consideration, I will and always advice gamblers to learn to make their own decisions and stand by it, and be ready to fully face what ever be the consequences and blame absolutely no one.
If you as a gambler decide to share your bet slip online, and majority or maybe everyone advice you to take the cash out, think for yourself and decide whether you want to take the cash out or not, because in the end, it's either your win or your lose, do not allow people push you into taking a decision you will later wish you did not take, they won't regret for you, it's your regret and your lose at the end of the day.

I don't really care about other people's opinion when it comes to a bet because they do not know better as to how the results of my effort would turn out.

If in this kind of case where I shared a bet slip to the community and I get such response to cash out before the matches end, it is left for me who has been paying attention to the results so far and who has a better understanding of the last games to decide on what to do, but when I didn't pay attention to the scores so far and get a response from the community to cashout before the game ends, i can decide to oblige seeing that i wasn't at all attentive.

Two understandings, firstly, if the bet is placed based on a friend's slip, I will survive whatever risks occur at the end of the match, secondly, if it is a bet based on my personal slip, I also hold on until the end even though there are still two matches left tomorrow.

The point is: I gamble based on my instincts and am a professional at gambling, if I have placed a bet on a particular sport I don't want to turn back, even though the bet still has two or three more matches left, I stand my ground, Friend's idea is accepted, if it is before the bet is placed, if the Bet button has been pressed, for me there is no more story, I just wait for the final result of losing or winning.

I have given up on changing the basic bet to the second bet, based on a friend's slip and what happened, my initial bet was correct and the friend's betting slip was not correct, it happened several times, on that basis I no longer trust any slip, even though their slip is correct.

If we think someone can help us make a decision, it’s smart to listen to them. But if not, let’s not waste time and just figure out what’s best for us. Cashing out is a solid option if we see more wins than losses; being greedy and holding onto everything isn’t worth it when we don’t know if the remaining bets will be winners.

In gambling, we can’t just focus everything on the positives—we also need to play strategically, especially when we have the favor already. The key is to make a profit here, even if it’s small, rather than walk away empty-handed.

That will be your decision to choose. If you thinks you are confidents with your analysis and believes your team can win, you can wait until the match is end. But the risk that you can get is anything can change so your percentage to win will decrease and effects to your lose.
If we can cash out before all games on the slip ends, it is better to cash out and enjoy the money. We don't know for sure the ends of the games and the pressure will be higher with emotion involved.
My friends will give the best suggestion for me and if they see there are no big chance to waiting for the games end, they will tell to cash out.

You ar right and that was what I had in mind when I created the topic for this discussion to gather the opinions of others. I kept asking myself the main question is if the person can live the consequences of sticking with his own decisions and losing or following public opinion and losing. I think the best is to listen to oneself and if the person believes in his picks and is confident in his analysis the opinions of others wouldn't matter. And if he lost, at least it would be on his own accord.

The gambler itself should have an exit plan.

Let's say the gambler want to bet parlay of 5 match, they should pick the most easiest to hardest, so in case you're not really sure with the last match, you can cash out your bets. Don't put the hardest bet in the beginning because you might lose your bet and you will not able to make decision in the future.

I prefer to stay with my instinct and if while the game is on my gutt feeling says to cash out then I do.
In most cases, I do hold it out until the end of the game. I share my bets only after the game ends and results are out.

You are right, if it's a bet that one actually staked by themselves, then there's no need to get influence by anyone's opinion on accepting cash outs offers. Only when I actually did a general bet with my friends, that's when I can have a biased decision on that but apart from that, it's my game and I decide for myself if I must cash out or not.

People even if they deny it one way or the other are influenced and shaped by their environment.
Most times people give in to the suggestion of their friends or the public when they themselves are feeling that the community might be right.
If they sure of themselves, then they have already made up their mind before the end of the game.
Well it depends on the individual or circumstances
Personally don't share my bet slip but could be influenced if there's a news that came, which I feel might affect my slip.
I would change and make modifications based on it and if not
Well I stick till the end.

It can really depend on the situation, if you have won 4 out of 5 bets on a multibet and you're feeling less confident about the last one landing for some reason - it might be wise to cash out. If you happen to be watching a very fast paced and volatile game, but your bet is currently ahead with a fair amount of profit, you may wish to cash out. However I've found that just letting the bet run and going with your initial instincts is probably the best course to profitability. There is likely a reason that you have chosen to make that bet and take those odds, which were probably highly favorable, so just let it run to the end unless you have a lot of money on the line.

I think that after we have made several bets, even if several in a row have played in the plus and we are on a winning streak, then under no circumstances should we refuse them, even if our friends put pressure on us and try to convince us otherwise. To prevent this from happening, it is better not to tell anyone about what bet we have made, so that such a risk does not arise at all. We are already under pressure from a winning streak, so we do not need any extra pressure from anywhere else. However, if bets have been made, it is generally stupid to change anything in this, because getting a fine for this reduces our EV, and this is the most important value for us.

When it comes to sports betting especially football for the popularity it has in most countries, sharing my bet slip definitely stir up my friends’ opinions. True it still exciting to chat with friends about the games, especially when I already got some wins I shared with them recently, but where it gets tricky is when I’m down to just a couple of games left and my buddies are buzzing with advices and different opinions, it’s easy to feel that pressure to cash out. Maybe they are telling me to take the safe way, and at the same time you cannot trust everyone most of the time, so it really creates a conflict and also affect your decision.

However, my advice for anyone for a better betting experience is if you believe your team that can pull through, sticking out to the same decision might pay off even more. On the other hand, if there is much doubt about how they will perform, cashing out could be the smarter move. Moreover, it’s about balancing the thrill of the game with your own judgment.

As a conclusion, listening to others is good, but don’t forget to trust your instincts for most of the time and better gambling experience. Sometimes the best play is the one you feel most comfortable with.

In sports betting specifically football is your decision to cash out or wait it out until the end of the game based on the opinions of other people if you shared your bet slip with them while the game is on?

The problem is, i have never shared a single sports betting slip, so there is no reason for me to hear opinions or suggestions from the community.

Not a few of us share their betting slips, even before the match starts. almost on average, most of the ones that are often shared are parlay bets. not a few of us share their betting slips with only one or two matches left. well, this is normal behavior for us sports lovers, especially football. there is nothing wrong with that, everyone can express every bet they make. some like to share their betting slips, some don't at all, one of them is me. related to your points and questions, it seems that every bet depends on the situation and conditions. as you said, some are stressed, anxious, irritated, and not a few are confident that they will win their betting slips. which is your question, not a few cash their betting slips for whatever reason, whether it's their friends' opinions or not being sure they will win. or, continue it. Well, I assume the situation will not always be the same. It all depends on when the bet is running. So the answer varies greatly, depending on the situation and the last team that competed can also be a consideration. For me personally, gambling is complex. Sometimes, we can make decisions suddenly. Even, reckless decisions.

Speaking from my own personal experience.  I do not need a gambling community, friends or family to help me monitor my bets. If they do that on my behalf,  it still won't take away the pressure I would feel while the games are still on. I usually gamble with amounts i can afford to lose so, i do  not feel that much pressure that will make me give out my betting slips to other people to monitor if i am winning or not. My decision on whether to cashout or hold longer depends on my mood for that day and that decision is solely mine and not influenced by other people's opinion.

In this case do you give in or hold out based on their opinions?

It depends.

I don't often make my decisions based off the opinions of others. Sometimes, I might decide to let it continue to the end. Other times, I might cut it short and just hit the cashout button and confirm. I really think it should be up to the bettor to make that decision because at the end of the day, psychology and mental critical mental moves can make or break a bet. Sometimes when I share my bet ideas, I get opposing takes on my selection but I never falter. We have to stay the course always.

In my humble opinion, if the money is only of one's property and the bet is being done only by oneself, then there should be no intervention between the one and other people who could influence over the decision of cashing out or keeping the bet going to the end? Only the person who has money/a stake on the match would understand the implications of winning or losing the bet and anyone outside could mislead the bettor onto commiting a mistake. In the case of the bettor listening to the advise of someone who does not have a stake on the match and because of it the bettor losses it all, then the responsibility of the loss would be redirected to the outsider, instead of the bettor accepting the fact he decided to rely their money on the opinion of others.
It is better not to share responsibility over ones bets to anyone, and take full control over them and whether one should cash out or not, it helps to grow as a responsible bettor and helps to accept our own mistakes and move on from them.

I do not depend on anybody opinion when I am gambling, all my decisions are mine and if I lose I will understand that I tried and when I win, I will celebrate. If you keep taking opinions of others, you would be losing because alot of people do not know anything about gambling. They might claim to be good at sport betting but when you listen to them, you will find out that they are only guessing and do not know anything. If they knew that your last game or some of your other games are not going to play, why did they not bet on that so they can win it instead of asking you to cashout. Cashing out should be your own decisions it should not be made in a rush but you should take your time to watch some minutes of the game before deciding if you want to quit or continue to hope for the games to play.

I have always maintained my betting positions regardless of what is happening.
When I am winning, it is quite common for the systems to offer an early reward for withdrawal before the game ends, but this is much lower than the result of the winnings if I wait until the end of the game. Obviously, anything can happen and football is a very unpredictable game, but I have never regretted making a withdrawal early and I have never done it again.
I prefer offline bets, so I always plan them carefully. Why should I make a withdrawal in a rush when I have planned it so carefully? It doesn't make sense.

At that moment your bet slip is made known to your gambling clique or circle and it's remaining just two or one game to conclude the total win of your bet, to be sincere it's really difficult to maintain your stand of not cashout when your community are recommending a cash out for you because they will be giving you that advise with very strong reasons and analysis that you had never had in mind while initially booking the games.

The best alternative is to avoid the temptation if you've already concluded not to initiate a cash-out in the middle of the games then don't take it to them requesting for their opinions and responses about the games left to play.

One stream of opinion is enough to distract and disperse quite a lot of attention, once brought out to the community and friends, this dispersion divides into many more streams and the question here is which stream of opinion should we follow, feeling like our stance is being strongly reduced by opposing opinions, in terms of life, it is not the criterion that determines success when the shadow of others is too big and overwhelms the light of our ability. One should automatically build a suitable stance, even if losing is a stepping stone to gain corresponding experiences, instead of being a glimmer of light that cannot radiate glory.

Yes, that's an option too. Do not tell them and no one will either influence you to cash out or stay with the game and finish it. Sometimes there are friends who are talented at urging their other friends to gamble more, take the risk, the higher risk, or just simply withdraw. I've known a friend who is good at managing his gambling habit and I used to go with him because I know that he will walk away once we win.
What he does is ask me to just drink some beers and get some snacks after we win in one of the famous gambling games here in our country whenever there's a wake of a relative. But we have never really tried doing it in sports betting because that was not a thing before although we are both big fans of basketball so it could've been easier for us.
There are friends who have good instincts so I think we will have the same decision to cash out when we see profits from our parlay.

Actually it would really be just that depending on a certain individual on how he would really be handling out himself or would really be doing things accordingly. There are people who are really that easily get influenced on the things that they do heard outside or to someone that surrounds them on which on the moment that they've heard it out then they would really be that making those immediate changes on which we know that it will really be bringing out that kind of regret on the moment that your earlier analysis turned out to be a win and the current ones make you lose. People who do make out those words or advises isnt really that responsible for any paying on what you have lost. The actions you had made will really be that basing into your own discretion not theirs.
I've been through with this kind of experience on which it do really turned out that brings up that kind of regret on the moment that you do see those outcomes.

Nothing is really that best when you do make your own bets according into your analysis and own choice. Doesnt matter on what would really be the outcome on which as long you are sticking into your own then
it will really be not be bringing out that kind of regret. Its not bad to hear out others advises but in the end of the day, you are still the ones who do make out that final decision or choice.
If you have chosen up on going with others predictions then it will really be your call.

I might listen to people if they know more about some sport than i do. There's a problem with that, because no-one who is giving me an advice is putting their own money in, so they don't have a skin in the game. That means they can be either reckless, or overly emotional when convincing me to cash out, as reason might be either that they are just empathic, or that they think i am going to share some of that money, and that me losing, might feel like losing is robbing that away from them.

But generally speaking, you need to be autistic for not to submit to peer pressure, and even autists often want to mask that they could understand social norms, so they might submit to it as well.

We like to think that we can think with our own brains, but normal brains are wired to social behavior and we are highly susceptible when it comes to peer pressure. You might want to google Solomon Asch's conformity study. It's old but you can find entertaining videos of how everyone seems to be affected to it, no matter how independent they seem otherwise.

You can always rationalize yourself out of it, but that requires understanding on how exactly you are being pressured by others.

Just as it should be, pressure from others shouldn't be a result for which you make certain gambling decisions and stay under unnecessary pressure and if you have got that indiscipline, the community wouldn't take off you but may only help sometimes if the support you with some firm advice or contributions but that isn't and shouldn't be the key factor to making gambling decisions because it's possible the community may get unlucky and because u need to their advice you too may.

The influence of friends should not be underestimated, some of them affect us even on a subconscious level. Your friend has a good influence on you and you are lucky that you stick together, but I think much more often there are situations when a friend can have a bad influence on us and confuse us. For example, he does not understand bets well, but he knows how to convince perfectly and he needs to share his opinion, I have met such people too. In general, you need to be selective and still learn to distinguish such friends who can influence us in different ways. And of course, stick together who has a good influence on us and on our decisions in bets, but I think this cannot last forever.

During involved to sport betting i always be attempts to predict the particular matches by myself and very often my predictions were getting missed but i am very confident about that and i was never asking help to gambling community to monitoring my bets slip or asking their opinion about my betting slip and indeed sometimes i was share my betting slip to the gambling community or to my friends and they have different opinion about my bets and i will appreciate all of their opinion because the community can freely give their opinion regarding my bets

But so far until now they never can able to influence me because i didn't fully trust them besides that there is no guarantee the tips from the community will have 100% accurate because it can be missed so the gambling community cannot influence me when i want to make the decision to bets because every decision regarding sport bets is based on my personal reason

Good confidence that you can maintain, because advice from others is only an evaluation material and what determines is your own decision.
I also won't be 100% influenced by other people's betting advice, maybe I'll base my choice on a more detailed analysis of the team or player I support.

Nothing will be 100% accurate but at least I have made my choice and the rest is up to luck.
