I want to write my final thesis paper on blockchain technology.
If anyone has any idea or advice please feel free to share.

If you're willing to share your specialization, interest or master degree you pursue we might able to give more specific ideas. For starter, i would throw idea about analyzing privacy of Bitcoin centralized mixer or CoinJoin service whjich inspired by Breaking Mixing Services (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5117328.0).

Do you have a topic already? I mean yes blockchain technology but what about it do you want to study about? I think it’s pretty impossible to give you any advice without knowing where your specialty lies and what kind of research you want to conduct.

Do you have a research advisor? I am sure your advisor would be able to help you regroup and gather all your ideas and put them in order. Then maybe we can start discussing your research.

You have to describe what you want to do, and narrow down your research question, then research objectives. You can not do everything in one and the Blockchain Technology is very big, so it's hard to give you any advice if you don't tell use the two first important things: your research question, and your research objectives.

Be specific on what you want to do, and people will be able to give you their ideas, hints to do for your research of final thesis.

Some suggestions:

An analysis showing why block chain technology cannot be used to implement a CBDC.
A comparison of the pros and cons of a token based on its own block chain vs. be implemented with an established block chain.

Why not? All you need, is just using signet, and put the public key of the mint, inside the signet challenge.

Blockchain technology is vast and offers a lot of areas to explore. Depending on your interests, you could focus on a specific application like GameFi, supply chain management, or dive into the technical side, such as consensus mechanisms, scalability issues, or DAG-based blockchains. I’d recommend narrowing down your topic to make it more manageable. Also, exploring recent research papers or case studies could give you a fresh perspective. Best of luck with your thesis!

Here are a few, from the top of my head.

• Breaking coinjoin or mixers.
• Comparing coinjoin protocols, each one's tradeoffs, weaknesses etc.
• Scaling solutions like Ark (https://arkdev.info/) and/or lightning.

I understand that there is only one full node in a CBDC, not just "mint". I'm pretty sure a central bank wouldn't want to have a transparent record of all the transactions, available by anyone, anytime. Just as with the current banking networks, but without the commercial bank intermediary.

As a few other folks have already said, Blockchain technology encompasses far more than just crypto coins - there are a myriad of business applications as well with logistics tracking as current #1. Any kind of records can be stored on a blockchain.

FYI, a blockchain is not necessarilly available/viewable by the Public. Most business one are private and accessible only to authorized people/companies.

Have you even tried doing a search on Google et al? I suspect not so here is a couple search terms to start you out:

blockchain IBM

Either will lead you to what those companies are doing with it.

It is indeed a nice idea of course you just have to expand on it.

Like I said it really depends on your nature of study but I think this can be used in sociology and psychology. What makes fiat more appealing to criminals or what is the correlation of criminal activities to crypto. If you could gather enough data and be able to present a compelling research, it would be of big help in the community because we can just cite you when we need to prove that crypto doesn't perpetuate an already existing phenomenon in our society.

If your nature of study is more about environment maybe you can research on environment-friendly methods that involve crypto like mining for example. Explain how or why crypto mining is not as harmful nor that it needs to be anymore to the environment.

If you are studying something related to political science, it is very relevant seeing as Trump just won an election after including bitcoin heavily in his campaign speeches and gimmicks. How does crypto now play into the politics and economies of each country? Does the power shift with the addition of crypto?

The possibilities are endless! There is so much to discuss about crypto and so much that it affects you can pretty much make a topic out of anything under the sun and relate it to crypto.
