Differences Between PoW, PoS, and DataMining

• PoW (Proof of Work) is the consensus technology adopted by many blockchains, such as Bitcoin.
  In PoW blockchains, enormous computing power is required—usually specialized hardware like graphics cards (GPUs) or ASIC miners— to validate and add new blocks to the blockchain, effectively keeping the network alive.
  For each new block, the hardware that generated it receives a reward.
  However, PoW is a very costly method in terms of electricity consumption and requires powerful hardware to secure rewards.
• PoS (Proof of Stake) is an alternative consensus mechanism to PoW, eliminating the need for complex calculations and high energy consumption.
  In PoS, validators (or stakers) lock a certain amount of cryptocurrency as collateral to validate new blocks.
  The probability of being chosen to validate a block is proportional to the amount of cryptocurrency held and staked.
  PoS is considered a more efficient and eco-friendly method compared to PoW, as it does not require specialized hardware.
• DataMining is a mining technology developed by NeuralLead to produce data for Artificial Intelligence.
  Unlike PoW, DataMining uses hardware to process and generate neural data.
  Each device, such as a graphics card, has pre-installed neural networks responsible for generating datasets
  or training data for AI. The device sends the generated data to the NeuralLead server,
  which verifies its validity and rewards the device owner based on the number of valid data points found compared to all participants.

What is DataMining?

The world of artificial intelligence needs data, lots of data. That's where DataMining comes in.

NeuralLead Cloud has data that needs to be validated before being used. Your GPU connected to NeuralLead validates the data along with many other GPUs. If the data processed by your GPU is valid, you are rewarded with crypto coin.

DataMining processes these types of data:

• Text
• Audio
• Video
• Analog Sensory
• Digital Sensory

DataMining does not store or read any files on your computer; all data are processed exclusively in your GPU, CPU, and RAM. The only file on the disk that the DataMining executable reads is the configuration and license file saved in the same folder as the executable, thus no administrative permissions are required to run DataMining

How earning works?

Unlike Rent My Machine, with DataMining the earnings are constant. Every hour, the valid data that have been mined by users in that hour are calculated. Based on the work of your GPU(s), you are rewarded in total for the valid data you have mined compared to other data miners.
You can connect as many computers and video cards as you want, even to the same wallet address. Unlimitedly, the more devices, the higher the income. Payments are sent every hour directly to your wallet. All transactions are stored, so in case of a missed payment, the system will automatically send it to you in the following hours.

NeuralLead Coin, in addition to providing DataMining technology, also enables staking (PoSL). Unlike PoW mining, PoS requires less hardware power, making it more accessible to a wider audience and significantly more environmentally friendly. Moreover, with our hashing algorithm (NeuralLeadQHash), it is much more secure, as it leverages the best of quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

NeuralLead Coin’s PoS staking introduces a unique variant we call PoSL (Proof of Stake Levels), which democratizes consensus through more than three staking levels.
The earning percentage per block varies based on the number of coins you have in staking, reaching up to 84% of the block reward (excluding fees).

Specifically:

• Little: With at least 300 NLEAD, you earn 7%
• Medium: With 1,100 NLEAD, you earn 28%
• Big: With 3,100 NLEAD, you earn 84%

If coins are removed from the staking wallet, the reward degrades the type of investor, for example from Big to Medium.
If the coins during staking reach the minimum amount for the next class, the new rewards of the next class are automatically activated, for example from Medium to Big.

But there's more! In addition to dynamic earnings, we've also implemented hardware-free mining—making it even greener!

    Hot staking: By keeping your hardware and wallet online 24/7, you receive 100% of your rewards.
    Cold or Pool staking: The blockchain mines for you, allowing you to turn off your wallet and hardware while still earning rewards—without spending a single cent on electricity, all while supporting research.

Recently, pool staking has also made it possible for users with fewer than 300 NLEAD to participate.

PoS (Proof of Stake) and the AntiStall / Cashback Mechanism

PoS is a fantastic technology:

Everything sounds great, but what happens if there are no PoS miners? 🤔

The answer is simple: the blockchain stops.

That’s why, from the very first version, we implemented the AntiStall / Cashback mechanism.

🔹 How Does It Work?

If all miners are waiting for a new block between the last mined block (+0) and the next one (+1200), this waiting period is called maturity.

A miner can only mine the next block once maturity is reached (from block +1201).
Other available miners who are not in the maturity period can mine.

💡 But what happens if all miners are in maturity? Would the blockchain stop?

Absolutely not!

That’s because there is a "cashback/antistall" wallet, which mines when no miners are available or when all miners are in maturity.

💰 Cashback Wallet & Reward Redistribution

The Cashback wallet, when mining, collects NLEAD rewards as if it were a small investor.
According to the whitepaper, the funds collected by the Cashback wallet are redistributed to PoS miners.

@casus from the NeuralLead community has proposed two ways to distribute these rewards:

Variant 1 (by weight):
Every 1200 blocks (maturity), all PoS miners who participated in the creation of new blocks within the range (0-1200 blocks) are rewarded based on the value of their wallet at the time the block was mined.

Example:
First, we sum all the weights in the 0-1200 range, which, for example, are 10,000 NLEAD.

• Miner 1, who had 800 NLEAD in their wallet, will take 8% of the cashback wallet's content
• Miner 2, who had 8,000 NLEAD in their wallet, will take 80% of the cashback wallet's content
• Miner 3, who had 3,200 NLEAD in their wallet, will take 32% of the cashback wallet's content

The funds in the cashback wallet, collected over the 1200 blocks, will be distributed based on the staking value.

Variant 2 (by class):
The content of the cashback wallet in NLEAD is given to the miner who mined the block. For example:

• If the block was mined by a Big miner, they will receive 84% of the cashback wallet's content in NLEAD
• If the block was mined by a Small miner, they will receive 7% of the cashback wallet's content in NLEAD

The amount paid from the cashback pool cannot exceed the normal PoS reward value for small, medium, and big stakers. This means that the closest block winner (Big) will not drain 84% of the current cashback pool, and it will decrease slowly until there are enough PoS investors, at which point the cashback pool will stop receiving rewards.

In simple terms, this means every PoS investor will receive twice as many rewards for a mined block (one from the block and one from the cashback pool) as soon as the appropriate amount of coins are available in the cashback pool.

Important:
In both Variants 1 and 2, in addition to taking the reward from the blockchain, you will receive a second reward from the cashback wallet's content. Note that it is required for the cashback wallet to always have at least 2.4 NLEAD, so this value will be deducted from every reward.

As always, the community will decide which implementation to adopt, so I will post a poll in #general on Discord and on Telegram. A big thanks again to @casus for the proposals, and we will await the results of the poll to implement either the first or second variant.
