Title: Leverage trading in USA Post by: Basten4 on November 22, 2024, 06:31:26 AM Is leverage trading available in USA for spot trading, and if yes, where?
Not looking for VPN solution. I used to use Kucoin, they are done in US. I though Bitmart is fine in US, but I don't think they are now. Any other suggestions? Title: Re: Leverage trading in USA Post by: Botnake on November 22, 2024, 06:37:48 AM Maybe you can try Kraken.
Margin trading and Eligible Contract Participant (ECP) self-certification for U.S. clients (https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360061972272-Margin-trading-and-Eligible-Contract-Participant-ECP-self-certification-for-U-S-clients) https://www.kraken.com/features/margin-trading Title: Re: Leverage trading in USA Post by: Oshosondy on November 22, 2024, 08:40:21 AM Maybe you can try Kraken. I think margin trading is also available on Binance.us up to 10x. I am not from United States and I am not sure if trading derivatives is available but I think 3 to 10x leverage on isolated and cross margin products on Binance can be helpful for OP. Also the one for kraken that you posted is margin trading and not derivative trading.Margin trading and Eligible Contract Participant (ECP) self-certification for U.S. clients (https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360061972272-Margin-trading-and-Eligible-Contract-Participant-ECP-self-certification-for-U-S-clients) https://www.kraken.com/features/margin-trading Title: Re: Leverage trading in USA Post by: SquirrelJulietGarden on November 22, 2024, 03:18:36 PM Is leverage trading available in USA for spot trading, and if yes, where? Spot trading and leverage trading are different. You misunderstood it, and there is no way to use leverage in Spot trading. If you know any exchange allows users to use Leverage in Spot trading, let me know. Find some exchanges with leverages in USA (https://exchangewar.info/coinprice?btc_usd) with exchangewar.info. Leverage trading is risky and it's one of fastest ways to lose your capital in trading. Buddy, if there are two topics with the same name, you must delete the new one, as one is enough to get enough responses. I'm sure trading is allowed in the USA with some limitations. Why don't you try spot trading haha I never support leverage trading so if you are willing to give it a try in spot trading it would be great. As it's risky and destructive only lovers should try leverage trading. Title: Re: Leverage trading in USA Post by: logfiles on November 24, 2024, 12:17:21 AM If you are in the US and you want to do margin trading as a retail trader, forget about it. It is much easier getting out of the US, getting a citizenship and a less strict country and then carrying out margin trading from there ;D
On a serious note, the reason almost zero platforms offer the service to US citizens. This is because CFTC keeps restricting, suing and fining them. If there's any exchange still doing so, it's probably still brand new, less known and out of the radar from CFTC. Kraken say you need to have more than $10 million in assets before you think about Margin trading in their platform ;D Do you have more than $10 million in assets, OP? For individual clients -- You are required to have more than $10 million in assets invested on a discretionary basis. In general, this means assets (for example, cryptocurrencies, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate investments, cash held for investment purposes) for which you make the decision to trade or invest, as opposed to assets that another person trades or invests on your behalf. The $10 million in assets do not include your personal residence or other assets you own that are not part of your trading or investment portfolio. For institutional clients -- The institution you represent must have more than $10 million in total assets. This test focuses on gross assets, as opposed to net assets (assets minus liabilities). If you represent an institution and the institution doesn’t qualify as an ECP under the $10 million in total assets test, your institution may qualify as an ECP under one of the other categories of the ECP definition. Please review the categories and contact Kraken support if the institution you represent qualifies for at least one of them. Title: Re: Leverage trading in USA Post by: SquirrelJulietGarden on November 24, 2024, 02:59:42 AM Margin trading is leverage trading using the spot market price of the asset. Example is bitcoin. The price in the spot market is the same if you choose margin trading. Margin trading make use of spot price of the asset. Derivative trading make use of contract price which is not bitcoin but pegged with bitcoin price. OP is referring to margin trading. I didn't talk about price is different or the same between Spot Trading and Margin (Leverage) Trading.I talked about the fact that if you want to trade with Spot, your fund must be in the Spot account. If you want to trade with Leverage, you must transfer your fund to Leverage account, and it can be liquidated if your leveraged trading position is bad. If you understood my post, you can see I emphasized that you can not trade with Leverage if your fund is in Spot account. Yes. there must be separate account for spot and futures trading. bunance has this butbi'm not sure ifnthe binance.US do have it. Bitfinex afaik offers this marging account separately that your spot funds will not be liquidated of course. I think there are more of these exchanges. Its just riskt to them them all since their rep are tarnished already HitBTC is one with this setup. |
