Title: iNacho Giving away 1 Free Bitcoin!
Post by: inacho on April 01, 2014, 03:56:33 AM
Hi everyone,

I am creator of an iOS/Android app called iNacho. It's an app that lets you find and review nachos nearby!

You can download the app on your phone by going here: http://www.nachorater.com

The hardest part about writing this app has been crowdsourcing users to enter reviews so I've been trying to motivate people by giving things away.

So, the latest contest, I am giving away 1 free bit coin.

Details can be found here: http://blog.nachorater.com/2014/03/nacho-bitcoin-contest.html

and the Facebook event invite can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/457332197733741/

So, join in and start reviewing nachos and you could win =)

Say what you will, but I've already given away free things in past contests.

Its better if you giveaway at lest 0.1*10 it will help more people to attract  or 0.05*20  .... Just give away only one out of hundred not worth of try... Although good luck

I get your point but the fact is 1 person can put multiples of those 100 reviews in so they have more of a chance of winning the whole pot.....which is much more enticing IMHO.

you have a limit for it (i.e member with 50+ activity only) it will help you to shoo away the newly created accounts :)

Not a bad idea but right now, I'm trying to get all the help I can get. The app audience is pretty small and I'm hoping to broaden that.

What a coincidence.....not too far from you.......

How about you put the reward you are offering up in escrow?  Would lend a little credibility to your offer.  Otherwise I call "bullshit" on your phony bitcoin reward.

Nobody "reported" on your bitcoin give-away.  You wrote and posted your own article.  Shame on you for not disclosing this!

Call BS all you want. It's not like it's hard to enter the contest. Download the app and write a nacho review. I already have credibility because I've given away Visa Gift Cards in past contests already.

As for Slashdot, I assume anybody would know that. Feel free to up vote it. ;)

We are at 2 reviews submitted for the contest now.

Well I have nothing to hide. Like I said, I've given away prizes before as a way of promoting my app.

That being said, you didn't have to post the full output of whois. Anybody can look it up if they want.

And as you can see on my linkedin, I am a mobile developer and iNacho is one of the apps I've written in my free time.

Okay, I get your doing a give away, so how would one win this. Is it at a random selection of a comment? Or can this person write reviews once per day?

You need to set rules..?

The rules are defined in detail in this post: http://blog.nachorater.com/2014/03/nacho-bitcoin-contest.html

The basic idea is to review nachos nearby with the app. To enter the contest, you just need one review but if you do more than one, it gives you better chances.

At the end of the 90 days, I'll do a random drawing from all of the reviews entered in those 90 days (but only if we get 100 new reviews) and that person will receive the free bit coin (i.e.: I'll email them asking for an address to send it to).

Well like I said, it's not like I'm asking for money.

Go try an app out, have fun, eat some nachos.

In the end, it's just extra that you could win a bit coin out of the whole deal ;)

That being said you are not offering or discussing a gambling service, you are in fact crowd sourcing so not sure why your posting in this sub forum in particular for crowd sourcing.

Yeah I suppose I'm trying to bridge a nachos community with the bit coin community.

As for gambling, I did not post in this sub forum. I'm assuming a mod moved it here? Maybe because it's a "contest"
