Breaking- PSG are a step close to beating Manchester United, Liverpool and other top clubs in securing the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.
Do you think Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is an idea signing for PSG?

this will only distract people from engaging in the main thread that contains all the major transfer discussion and indept analysis on the details behind the transfers. i don't see a point of having another thread for same transfer news that we can talk about on the main discussion that has already been created and is working effectively. if you so desire, you can make it a habit of being the first that will update the main thread with any recent transfer news, that i think is not against the forum rule and it will help reduce the numbers of duplicate thread that is all about same topic.

Nice update! Well, keeping us updated about latest transfers isn't a bad idea as I think it will help especially those football lovers who are not able to follow the usual different sources of news transfers that are spread in this winter transfer. However, I do recommend you op to where necessary attach a source link to some of your transfer updates to help interest members verify the news about any of their favourite player and club. I think it would help make more sense that way except you're getting your transfer updates directly all by yourself like the Fabrizio Romano.

I don't there is anything wrong with this thread because the thread is mainly focused on the January transfer window. We have two English Premier League threads and it has not distorted the discussion in either of them so this one will also make it easier to see the latest updates as regards to the transfer market. The other thread is long and very difficult to keep up with the pace of the discussion there so allow something innovative to thrive. Don't forget that no one sanctioned the other thread as the official thread and it will not continue forever season after season. I was thinking they will be creating those mega threads every new season instead of combining all the seasons in one thread.

I agree with you, the sky is indeed wide enough to contain everyone, and I see nothing wrong with having an extra thread specifically for transfer window updates, it’ll potentially help people that are more interested in seeking for transfer news only, because even if the news or update is posted on the main thread, it’ll be buried under other posts in seconds, making it hard for people to get easy access to the news.

But with this thread, you don’t need to search below other discussions before you can get the transfer information you seek, so I don’t think the OP is breaking any rules at all.

Al-Ittihad boss Ramon Planes confirmed that they are interested in getting these two Barcelona players. But agent to Frenkie De Jong has called the speculation baseless. These two players especially Raphinha are having a good time in Barca, so I am not sure they would consider moving to the low-rated Saudi Professional League. Maybe the only motivation could be a high salary that will be difficult to refuse. Barca might also decide to let them go if the pay is good since they need funds to bring in some players they are targeting.

Well you’ve said it all. The two players are having the best time of their career in Barcelona. But then you also need to understand that Barcelona are being forced to offload some players due to financial problems. The transfer window is still on. Probably a good bid comes in anything can happen. Let’s keep fingers crossed.

Breaking- PSG are a step close to beating Manchester United, Liverpool and other top clubs in securing the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.
Do you think Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is an idea signing for PSG?

Kvarat will be a good player for PSG considering his age and zeal to thrive. I've seen him thrive to make a name for himself as a king in the Napoli football, looking at that plus his youthfulness as a 23 year old player could have an opportunity to the club. But I know how Napoli is overbearing with selling their top players and how they can put a lot of money on the player's transfer fee for PSG and other prospective buyer. Now my question is, will PSG be willing to buy Kvarat for that amount?

Alright, this is a good idea at least we have a thread specifically focused on the January transfers discussion, and hope we get some exciting transfer updates that will trigger a whole lot of discussion around here, I think a lot is going on in the transfers market and most clubs are currently closing in on all possible deals to get the best hands to take them through the second phase of the leagues after the breaks.

I will be looking forward to reading your next update although I read one already where you mentioned the Saudi pro leagues club about to have a player signed soon.

Source: https://x.com/fabrizioromano/status/1878173789273391113?s=46

Tbh, I can't hate the guy for doing this.  He is one of the few guys that has given everything to City throughout their historic EPL reign and their first and only UCL win, he has been striving with this team and definitely not a bad idea to put an end to his spell at city.

For his age, going to Saudi and raking in the big bucks is much more suiting for him so he can have more than enough when he retires and can no longer play.

Walker is rank in the top 5 best right wing back in the EPL and no doubt about that after all his achievements and performances at Manchester City just like you’ve said.
I also thought about him going to the Saudi side which is seen to be a retirement option for most players.

Speculation about Kyle Walker future has been growing, although so far Manchester City have not officially discussed Walker's future, but it looks like his desire to leave this season will soon be realised especially since Guardiola did not include him in the squad against Salford in the FA Cup, so this indicates that it is likely that Kyle Walker will leave soon, He has spent almost his entire career in the premier league and more than 6 years he strengthened manchester city, so I think before he retires of course he wants to find a new challenge to play outside England, currently Milan and several Arab clubs have reportedly opened talks with Kyle Walker, hopefully we will see certainty about his future in the near time.

I think there’s more to what might have been the reason why Walker has decided to exit Manchester City just after returning from his injury.
Time will tell what the reason could be

Breaking- PSG are a step close to beating Manchester United, Liverpool and other top clubs in securing the transfer of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.
Do you think Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is an idea signing for PSG?

I think he will go to PSG, but we have an outside chance of signing him if the deal falls through.

United shouldn't even think about getting this guy though, they need a proper finisher like Osimhen. And it's strange because I haven't heard United's name mentioned in this at all, it's actually Chelsea with a little faint interest (but like I said before, they are better off getting someone like Osimhen in the summer).

Do you think if they successfully get him. He will fit in to Amorim system?

There’s no news that has 100% accuracy about where Osimhen would go. But then any club that’s willing to trigger his release clause can have him. With the like of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc. didn’t mention Manchester United because they can barely spend that much in this transfer window due to avoid breaking financial rules.

Update - Carney Chukwuemeka is on the radar of Lazio as they look to bolster their midfield. Dortmund have had him on their list for sometimes now.

Breaking- Paraguayan LB Diego León, in Manchester today for medical and announcement as new Man United player. It’s a done deal ✅
He will fly back to Paraguay on Tuesday and will fully join Manchester United in July 2025

Talk are still on going with both parties. AS Monaco are believing they could convince the player since they’re in the championship league.
But west ham consider Mexican an important player for them. More to follow

Update - Al Hilal from the Saudi Arabian are considering making a move to sign Darwin Núñez from Liverpool.

I don't there is anything wrong with this thread because the thread is mainly focused on the January transfer window.
First suggestion. Anything transfer/signing of players should be discussed in one thread. There is the football speculation thread I think and most of these types are being carried out there.

Second suggestion. If the football speculation seems to be a little long members can't keep up to the pace. Then it should be split and continued over here.

This trend is base on January transfer window update
Let it not be just the January transfer window alone. Include the summer which means all transfers.

In the meantime, what is the latest update for Arsenal signing this January?

“New striker? We missed form various ways and different players. I understand guys. I cannot love my players more. I focus very much on the ones that I have”.

I'd say a solid 6. Imo, both Ronaldo and Messi will play the 2026 world cup. It's just 1 year away and they can make it and they'd just consider it to br one last dance. I expect both of them to retire immediately after the world cup is done.

Barcelona doesn't need Messi anymore btw, I know they are nostalgic about him but no. Not necessary.

Manchester United is off to get a loan offer for Tyrell Malacia with the option to buy back the players, I think that Manchester United is too early at selling players or offering to let off any player at the moment considering that the club is still recovering, what I was expecting to read from Manchester United is new players signing to fully recover the club from it previous failures and under performances, anyways let see which club Tryrell is moving to and the offer compared to which players Manchester United sign in this January transfer market.

I thought so too but the good thing is that there’s a buy back clause on any deal they’ll initiate. As much as he is considered a player who has potential. He needs to more room less pressure to develop. I’m Manchester United there’s no room for that as there’s already much pressure on the team and beside Amorim prefers playing dalot as a LWB while he exploits the market in search of a promising LWB.

🚨Update - Real Madrid signing Trent Alexander-Arnold this month is a possibility.
Liverpool are still pressing forward to keep the RWB at the club.

Manchester United is seeking a high profit considering that Alejandro Garnacho was promoted from the academy. For the the £40m offered by Napoli is reasonable. Maybe they can increase it a little bit but it seems United want to collect almost all the money Napoli will earn from the sale of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Garnacho has been dropped consistently by Ruben Amorim in some games. This might be a clue that his service might not be in high demand. If Ruben wants hil to leave, United might lower the asking price and the deal will go through.

They are holding out for a return on the £85M they spent on him in 2022.

My only key takeaway from this is that Liverpool doesn't want to sell Nunez. I get that he might have lost his place in the team and the confidence we, Liverpool fans had in him (at one point in 2022, he was being compared to Haaland). I guess they  aren't ready to sell because they feel like the moment they do, he'd be peak Nunez again.

Until Liverpool get another solid #9, need Nunez to stay.

🚨 Napoli is targeting a move to sign Alejandro Garnacho to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. 💙

Manchester United want €70M for the winger. 🇦🇷
Do you think this deal will go through?
Share your thoughts on this
Manchester United is seeking a high profit considering that Alejandro Garnacho was promoted from the academy.
And to say! Don’t you think United are just feeling reluctant to sell him? Maybe Amorim still believes in him and want to give him time to improve.
Regardless he has a trophy in his cabinet and so I think he’s worth that price tag (€70m). For a young player who still have potentials and can improve

I don't think our club is going to do any business in this January transfer window, which makes sense because all the people we want will only be available in the summer.

That also implies that we won't sell anybody in the first team.

Now this club on the other hand does business in almost all transfer windows. To it's own detriment most of the times.

That's a good and solid point, btw. I personally won't be surprised if we don't bring anybody in. Kloop assembled a strong squad before leaving and Arne slot is utilizing it to the max. We didn't bring anybody in before the start of the season so I won't be surprised if the same happens now.

What areas would you say we need reinforcements in? For me, 1-2 Defense and a 9 most likely.

Documents being checked; then time for travel and medical tests.

United will let him leave on loan deal with 𝐧𝐨 buy clause. He’ll be formally back to United in June.

I understand why Man U only want a loan with no butter option. Reason being that no club will want to offer the price United will want to sell him permanently.
He needs to go on loan then see if he improves then they could consider cashing out on him.

It took place in Lisbon, as @tjuanmarti reports.

Barcelona are keen on signing Rashford and he’s open to the move, but depends on exits (Eric Garcia between Como and Girona and Ansu Fati’s situation).

Borussia Dortmund also still there 🟡

But I don't really understand why Amorim don't want Garnacho in his team. Garnacho has been on of the best performing players in Manchester United team under Ten Hag. When Amorim was appointed I was thinking he was going to bring out the best in Garnacho. Garnacho has saved Manchester United countless times. To me it doesn't make any sense that such a promising young star is going to leave Manchester United. A player like Garnacho should be worth more than £40m, that guy is a natural talent it's just unfortunate that Amorim don't see him fit enough to form part of his plan for Manchester United. Garnacho is young and he will be a success for any team that buys him provided they have a good coach that knows he is doing. Napoli should increase their asking price for him and Manchester United will sell him to them. But Manchester United should understand that they are losing a great talent in Garnacho.
