Relaunch?

No, this isn't a relaunch. The need for a bitcointalk thread was realized, so here it is

To be honest, the featureless copy coin is definitely dying.
Don't waste your time on it.
Do something else.

Does USD or Euro have new features? Can one be described as a copy of other?

We need to start from the root, of what a currency really is, what is the need of a currency. Currency is just a tool used for exchange. If it is so, then MAC does the job. We need to treat it as a currency, not a feature rich software

Just scanned the official Litecoin client and got the same false positive.
Miners were often used inside other apps and the report says its a miner.
Yes: its a miner. We are here at Bitcointalk.
Use the sourcecode and compile it on your machine if you want.
Send the file for an analysis to a laboratory there is no virus inside.
I checked it again with Kaspersky and Avira and you can check it by your own its just a false positive.

Can somebody say me where to buy Bitcoin within some minutes for swaphole?
Amount, address and pay and I got them?

This one seems to have an aim rather than hyping up with algos and features. I agree with the dev that crypto shouldnt be a slave to dollar, it should have a value of its own

Bitstamp? I havent used it. I bought bitcoins with paypal from virwox.com. You need to buy lindens first and then convert to bitcoins, but they take 48 hours for verification and collect a lot of fees

Was on their page yesterday and saw some comments on their fb but don't know if their comments are true that virwox.com lost the license to sell BTC for lindens recently.
Can somebody say when he bought the last time lindens from virwox.com and if it worked?

The value of a currency is in no way related to what algo is being used. We are not using X11 or Keccak because we are simply not interested in creating a false hype by using fancy algo's. An algo is not what gives MAC a value, but a stable and reliable mode of exchange does

We have a community page kit -https://github.com/Gitju/machinecoin.de (https://github.com/Gitju/machinecoin.de)

If you like MAC, you are invited to make your own page, just upload it and its working, or modify it in the style of how you see Machine Coin. We love and live decentralization wherever possible and not just inside
of the peer-to-peer-technology that the client uses.

This an April Fool's Coin based on launch date?

Launch wasn't april 1st so the preconditions are'nt compatible to your question or shortly to say: no.

Apologies, I didn't read far enough first time through. It does seem a bit strange though to claim not to be a pre-mine that launched privately back in January? Not trying to troll, just thought this was the official place to announce new coins.

1. There was no Premine like twitter, blog, waybackmachine and Github (they record dates) shows.
If you mine today with the right hardware you'll easy get more coins than I have earned since 3 month I just mine with CPU and sometimes GPU.

2. Just a question in general because I'm interested in this
Apologies, I didn't read far enough first time through. It does seem a bit strange though to claim not to be a pre-mine that launched privately back in January? Not trying to troll, just thought this was the official place to announce new coins.
Why?
I ask because I personally did not know Bitcointalk for too long.
And in fact the idea to make one forum extremely important than any other forum is not what I understand under a decentralized system.
Every platform has the same right and when one platform has to stop running for whatever reason any other platform can do the job as well.
What would happen if Bitcointalk would be closed within 24 hours because of a new law?
This is a bottleneck that should not exist.

+1

Thinking that this place is an official or 'the' place has resulted in a potential centralization situation. We had a public launch and did not hold any instamine (I learnt the word instamine on this forum). The difficulty is still very low and only 50k blocks have been mined at the time of writing. So everybody still has a very fair chance to mine MAC

True Story- Coin launch was on Jan 6th I believe. I found this coin on Jan 7th with a simple google search. There was plenty of information out there... The homepage, a twitter page, a broadster page, a socialiter page, a forum, a small following, and a few other things I couldn't interpret. I even found something on ebay i believe at that time. I had to use google translator a bit because I don't speak German, but I am resourceful and found this coin and love it.

I apologize to everyone because I was completely new to crypto currencys and I did not know some enthusiast techie forum called bitcointalk was THE AUTHORITY on new coin announcements or I would have created the other announcement thread earlier or contacted the dev team and suggested it, they are very good about being active in the community.

For the record, until getting involved in cryptos, I have only used forums that come up in google searches for researching things that don't have official information. It is too much sifting through BS and you rarely find what you need, just threads of useless trash talking. As I would consider myself a mainstream 36 year old consumer with a family and a good career, i would have never known about this site if not for finding Machinecoin. Isn't that what all this is about? Getting more and more people like myself to build a user base?

The facts are, this coin was not premined, nobody was trying to do anything shady, and it is a really great coin with an awesome dev team.

Weird launch. Also I'm surprised someone were able to find it on next day in google.

I was too. Don't get me wrong, I was searching for new altcoins, I didn't type "altcoins" and find it in the top 10 results. For my tastes, I work for a large corporation and I like the prospects of new marketable products that have the possibility of longevity and profitability, not fly-by-night scams that pump and dump. Although Altcoins are not "products" and are meant to be used as a currency, Machinecoin (MAC) has that professional feel. Its not ridiculous like kittehcoin, shi*coin, or blakecoin, etc. this whole altcoin schema has gotten ridiculous and out of hand. Its time for some consolidation and to see some of these coins that have no purpose but to trade for other coins to simply disappear. When the coins that actually stick around because they've been actively developed (ie. have payment systems, updated clients, have a market, have resisted network attacks, etc.) nobody will care if it was announced properly in the spirit of some classic guide to releasing new altcoins handbook (which doesn't exist by the way). Regardless of its value, Machinecoin will work alongside other payment systems such as visa, bitcoin, litecoin, paypal etc. as a currency as intended. I just don't see potcoin or Bar-B-Q coin being accepted at Sears for a lawnmower. I can however see myself pitching a sales presentation at Home Depot's directors trying to convince them to use Machinecoin payment systems at their stores to accept payments for products and services because its reliable, secure and cheaper than the competition. I don't believe they will ask me if it's coin was announced on Bitcointalk on Jan 6th, 2014.

For those who can't see, in the end, they are all just token systems. Nothing is so special about the coding of most of these coins that will make them better than the other. And if there was something that special, it could just be cloned. Make quick money (or lose it) flipping coins on pump and dumps, but be forward thinking regarding the future of the coins you actively get involved with.

I'm sure Bitcoin and Litecoin will be around as well as a lot of software/hardware that uses they're token system. I'm sure there will be systems that use other coins as the "vehicle" to transfer their data packets. I guarantee you that there will be Machinecoin innovations. Just honestly ask yourself though, does the coin you are supporting have the capacity, resources, and overall ability to be successful in the long run? You can sift through the official Machinecoin forums and find building and development tutorials on most Machinecoin material which proves the competency and ability to develop new software/hardware. And thats assuming development was only being worked on by the core development team.

Contact the dev team and see how you can get involved if you have good ideas. "The Machine" is already started and will continue to be built out regardless of what happens on this thread, the development will continue. This thread is what it is, an announcement.

Lol, yeah, all the POS garbage coins do seem to get a good pump and dump for the ones in the know to make quick money. This one is long term. There are a few of us that are dedicated to make this work and it won't fail for that reason. First the infrastructure to support a currency is being built, then the marketing. Already there are a few places to spend them. Next month, there will be a few more.
