I’m planning to build a decentralized exchange (DEX) that aims to provide a safer, more efficient crypto trading experience. But to make it truly user-focused, I need your ideas and suggestions!

Here’s What I’d Like to Know:
Trading Features

What types of trading pairs do you want? Which blockchains should be supported (e.g., Ethereum, BSC, Polygon)?
Do you need cross-chain swap functionality (e.g., BTC ⇌ ETH)?
Fee Structure

What kind of fee structure would you prefer? (e.g., low fees, dynamic fees)
Should part of the fees be refunded or used to burn tokens?
User Experience

What kind of interface and workflow is the most user-friendly for you?
Do you need tools like trading bots, chart analysis, or price alerts?
Liquidity Incentives

What methods would best incentivize users to provide liquidity? (e.g., token rewards, NFT rewards)
Do you want concentrated liquidity features like Uniswap V3?

If you create the Decentralized AI dex, it would be great I think!

If you begin by setting up a Stellar node, a "federation" even maybe, I think you will be off to a good start, and it will save you a lot of coding.

Some of the key parts of their released free open source code though still last time I looked at them (a few years ago at least by now) said they were not ready for production use, so making them ready for such use and releasing the ready code would be a very useful side-effect of your interest in the DEX-development field.

It also gives us a baseline for a desired-features question such as yours, in that we can right off the bat narrow the query to something like:

"What features does Stellar not yet already have that you would like to see added?"

I have technical skills in this area, including node installation and technical module development.

You should ask this question from yourself as why you would want to start up a DEX ? There are already many good Dex out there, so you should have an idea of what is unique that people will prefer to use your newly developed Dex. I hope you would NOT be wanting investments from the investors to create / expand the DEX  :)


I wonder what would be the role of AI in a DEX?

Like seriously.. I can't still factor out the purpose of the AI in the Dex role.
Move down to his question; as we know there have been several exchanges out there, I mean decentralized exchange that have been solving the current problem which people are using. Checking from CMC you would see that the list of dex is actually high and most time people are likely to use CEX than dex, especially someone like me who doesn't care so much on the Dex (swapping coin using Dex) due to some security purposes concerning my wallet.

I think this is a big attraction for me. this is very important for traders. All the popular DEXs in the market already have this like Uniswap, PancakeSwap, of course, making it the most secure DEX in the industry is important. If you're seriously going to launch one, be sure you do extensive testing.
Adding all that you've mentioned is great. Are you a full-time developer working on a team, or are you just an investor that will look for a team of developers to set up one?

Being able to do atomic swaps between bitcoin and the various chains merged-mined alongside bitcoin would be very nice. :)

I wonder if you could help users create their own DEXes. For example, each user could customize their own trading rules in their DEX to provide liquidity to the market. You provide all the software and instructions which can help them create the standard kind of API for their DEX. Users could set up limit orders, or complex trading rules, for example.

Then, you hook this all together, so that it's a central marketplace. Swapping from one coin to another, all the best orders would come up across all the participating DEXes plus other public DEXes. One of the biggest challenges would be ensuring trust. You might have to set up some sort of multi-sig with bitcoin collateral set aside, or slowly increase the amount that can be traded. The collateral can be used in case of an issue with that exchange. These are the technical challenges that would be difficult to solve.

In this way, you can hopefully add coin after coin and make your platform somewhat open to new coins. And keep in mind that any exploit at all will be exploited. You would need to invest heavily in bounty programs and security audits and be careful not to use code from any developers from North Korea. But in theory, if you technically did this, you could hopefully offer all the possible trading pairs and the best prices because anyone could add liquidity.

I'm not sure I get what you're trying to say here. Are you suggesting that if the domain/UI needs to be accessed through a hosting service, it means that an exchange is not decentralized, so they should use IPFS or something similar? But that doesn't exactly mean being everywhere at the same time since you'll have to connect to nodes still. On top of that, logging in using a web3 wallet doesn't guarantee anonymity either. CMIIW.

You also need to realize that OP hasn't been active for months so it's possible that they abandoned this project already.

The OP's asked which features we'd like to see in his DEX but where is he now he didn't say any thing after launching the topic. We don't have info about the site so we don't know any thing. He isn't posting he's left bitcointalk.

The more DEX and alternative CEX solutions the better! I am running a P2P exchange, and it would be cool if you had an API for liquidity. I think a massive network of DEX's and other endpoints is the solution to "regulation" which translates to theft, censorship and control. Good luck to you!

Has the OP liked words we've written in our posts. We're replying but OP isn't replying. If he'd given a site we could've checked it & commented about his work. It doesn't make sense he's asked for advice but hasn't given the website name.

You should look for an it consultant to talk about it maybe you can also look at some freelancer sites there you can also see some people who are experienced in this matter.

Have a look at Demex (https://dem.exchange/), HyperLiquid (https://app.hyperliquid.xyz/) and Uniswap (https://uniswap.org) for inspiration on what features the leaders are using. Demex is pioneering through creating a bitcoin-native DEX, HyperLiquid has recently exploded as a leader, and Uniswap was one of the first (and still renowned) DEX solutions.
