Title: Creating our own Coin
Post by: GaltsGulchOrganics on April 01, 2014, 05:48:34 PM
Hello Everyone

We are experimenting with the idea of creating our own coin for various things.

We imagine we would like to create it for store credit or perhaps a coupon like system.

We would want it to be 100% premined in the sense that the coin itself will be centralized and issued only by us.

We would like it to be entirely independent from other blockchains.

Can anyone give us humble farmers a run down on how to do something like this?

Although it is the first of April we are indeed serious about this.

premined in the sense that there is no mining mechanism as we will be the sole issuer. I suppose "premined" makes people uneasy

As far as I understand, this would be for private usage (think of things like "Facebook coins", they are not to be spent on things outside Facebook). So, in this sense, I see no problem with it being premined.

Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to help with the development of this project.

exactly. seems like they just want to own the coins and give them out to their customers. So technically they are not looking to scam

just buy one from coincreator, then mine it all yourself - set easy parameters

no, it would be better if it was proof of stake in this case since it wouldn't need to be mined

and even if it is proof of work with transaction fees, it would be better if it was premined from block 1 instead of manually mined
