Title: So here is a coinbase order: does any one know why you get a rebate inusdc... Post by: lexinexi on March 02, 2025, 07:57:52 PM So I have looked to the four corners of the internet and havent found a clear concise explanation. And forget calling coinbase! The people on the phone get $2 an hour so you can't get mad at them. Your fees last tuesday were a whole months pay!
So after doing a limit order the fee structure is this: (Click on the orders tab on bottom right:) Order ID Market: ltc usd side : sell time Status filled 100% (sometimes its split, dont know why its not likw I'm buying $10,000,000,000 and there isnt a taker? last fill type limit limit price 124.78 Amount 0.84151612 ltc %100 executed: (same amount as above) fills 2 Why is there 2? I put in one order and it filled 100%? subtotal (i clicked 100$usd) but 101.63 fee est 1.22$ Rebate : 0.30489577 USDC (WHAT THE ___ IS THIS? AND WHY IS IT IN usdc AND NOT usd? Total: 100.41 Title: Re: So here is a coinbase order: does any one know why you get a rebate inusdc... Post by: Bitcoin_Arena on March 02, 2025, 09:40:18 PM 1. Sometimes your order can have so many fills. This is because while it's a limit sell order, however small it is, someone else or a group of traders on the other side who are trying to buy at around the same price may have been doing so in orders smaller than yours and at different times.
Let say u wanted to sell $100, and your limit sell order appears in the order book as an ask. On the other side, Trader A may have placed a buy order at the same price worth $70 and Trader B wants to buy worth $30. Those two orders are going to show separately since they were filled at different times. 2. Coinbase has a partnership with circle, the partnership with circle, the proprietors of USDC so in away, they are trying to promote the stablecoin USDC (https://www.coinbase.com/blog/coinbase-and-circle-announce-the-launch-of-usdc-a-digital-dollar) Title: Re: So here is a coinbase order: does any one know why you get a rebate inusdc... Maybe this rebate is only for those newly created accounts and KYC verified? I searched on Google about rebates and found this one: https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/other-topics/coinbase-one/onchain-benefits It might be a monthly rebates for $100 order according to onchain benefits from Coinbase above? You are on to something... I signed up to coinbase 10 years ago, but didnt use my account in about 5 because hackers got into it. Well they didnt take everything, so I reopened my account and put some money into it and also signed up for the 29.99$ a month coinbase subscription. I really dont even understand what this is getting me because coinbase keeps lowering my fees based on how many trades I make.Maybe this rebate is only for those newly created accounts and KYC verified? But searching their fee scale they say nothing about this little bonus. All I did was make a bunch of 10 or 100$ trades to basically paper trade but with real money. Not to make money but to learn for when I put real money into it. Title: Re: So here is a coinbase order: does any one know why you get a rebate inusdc... That's the reason you subscribe to Coinbase one with monthly subscription and got 25% rebates and 4.5% APY for holding USDC. The link I provided is one of the benefits of Coinbase one subscription and here's what they said: Quote Join Coinbase One Premium and experience Coinbase without limits: zero trading fees with no caps, 25% back on all Coinbase Advanced spot fees, access to concierge support, boosted USDC and staking rewards on your full balance, higher account protection coverage, and more. Benefits vary by region. So I guess the USDC rebates is due to your subscription. There's no problem receiving USDC as rebates you can later trade it to USD inyo 1:1. Why not chat the live CS to get more idea how you got rebates? Title: Re: So here is a coinbase order: does any one know why you get a rebate inusdc...
