I'm looking for advice on which payment solution would be a good fit for a WooCommerce webshop based in the EU. We primarily sell equipment for cannabis enthusiasts. You can take a look here: https://highhouse.dk (https://highhouse.dk)

I'm seeking a solution that is legal in the EU and complies with the regulations we have here.

I think you should just ask in your local board because they will be the ones that would be most familiar with EU regulations and what most of the citizens where you reside in use as payment method. Cannabis is not even legal in many of the countries so we would not have the entire picture of what would fit into your region's regulations and what would not.

However, I have seen that paypal is pretty common enough and also pretty much adheres to the rules. So, I guess you can use that. You can still check out what your government may be suggesting or other entrepreneurs in your region.

@kotajikikox already said the best one there is, PayPal, probably stick to the one that's used the most because ain't nothing wrong with it and at the same time, it will be better for your business because then you'd be operational as soon as possible, you just worry about the other avenue of payments later when you're making money. You also have a tricky business but I think that you can talk to your local authorities about this matter and maybe even other countries that you will plan to sell your product, I think that not all of EU are still decided whether it's legal to buy weed or not but I think you've got that covered already.

Based on your post history, looks like you've been in this business for years and accept crypto too. Are you referring to a crypto payment solution here? What happened with your previous setup? Since you mentioned that you accepted Bitcoin in the past, are you familiar with self-hosted payment processors like BTCPay Server?

You can try coinpayments payment network. I have some big hosting companies accepting crypto payment through their gateway so they must be reliable. I have been paying via crypto for my annual hosting payments since last 4 years and never faced any issue with them.

I am not sure about the EU regulatory compliance requirements. But it can be a good starting point.

You did not specify if you are interested of fiat or crypto transaction method in your request.
However, I assume you must have been familiar with your countries banking methods which I don't see difficult for you sono will assume you mean crypto paying method.
Is the compound of the cannabis you produces legal complying with regulations?
If yes binance will provide you the p2p service offer but know it would require Kyc due to centralized regulatory policies also as the PancakeSwap for decentralized methods but must be aware of the risks surroundings.

Your question is very subjective, I think it will be easier for you to run your business if you follow local regulations. Perhaps the best solution is to use a payment method that is commonly used there without breaking the rules, but if you serve online orders that are sent outside the area, you can use a payment method that makes transactions easier for both parties.
Legal payments should be prioritized, but it does not rule out the possibility of using Bitcoin if the buyer and seller can keep each other's secrets.

If you're just starting and needs for more patronage of customers to your site, then try to add a multi payment system that can comprises of fiat and bitcoin in cryptocurrency, this will also depends on the kind of customers you're having, if they are the type that are crypto friendly or not, but you can always make the announcement to let them know all the available payment system you accept a d their respective currency, this makes it more affordable for some of your customers in seing that they can make payment with their preferred network for your service.

That's a good one but honestly I can't really tell what payment option would really be of help in this your line of business but I can suggest at this point you make use of multi payments system that would really catch up with lot of customers that would come around , that way you can amount to a very massive audience. And again if you're seeking solution that is legal in the EU, then you should look out for this, if there are no restrictions to sone payments options inorder to ease your business and transactions.

Judging from OP post history that doesn't seem to be the case. My impression is that he accepts both fiat and Bitcoin already but is looking for a better payment solution, hence my question above. Hard to suggest the better option without knowing his previous setup though.

Just curious about the site if it’s available nationwide like does the webshop attend to customers outside the region If yes why not consider all payment type listing the specific one you would prefer the most besides you can convert the funds but this option depends on the shop service like I stated above meanwhile considering the common payment in your region is the best decision due to familiarity.

Since you ask this question, I assume you mean crypto payments. You can use BTCPayserver, it's an open-source, self-hosted payment processor that offers a solution for e-commerce platforms, so you don't depend on any 3rd party provider, and you can accept crypto payments without a hassle.
Btw I know from my American friend that Coinbase Ecommerce is fine to use in your business type but I suggest you do your own research or consult with a lawyer or directly call Coinbase.

if you check the website and try to pay for an order the only payment option are cards, mobile payments and ViaBill. no crypto payment.
